Previously on Poké Rangers Dino Charge…
Using Santiland, Gircannon unleashed his ultimate plan: creating dimensional rifts to start his conquest of destroying the world and turning the world as his playground. The rangers went around the world, destroying the Ferro Striker clones with even gaining allies along the way. Leona and Mack were captured in Gircannon's Distortion World, learning the real meaning behind his attack. The rangers worked together to destroy Gircannon's plot in the Orre Region. However, even though Dialga sent Gircannon packing, Gircannon has a new plan to swallow the region whole. What is his intention?
"And… die!"
Shockhound's saber stretched out as he released a golden electric bolt and then used Demongun's white saber with red auras, unleashing flames. Oreburgh City was on fire. As everyone started panicking, Grayson and the others face him. Grayson turned around as he raised his Fossil Saber, "You…."
"Come defeat me, punk!" said Shockhound.
Grayson and Shockhound struck with the Fossil Saber with every parry. As Grayson went to swing across, Shockhound floated as he landed on the ground. Releasing flames, Grayson performed a shoulder roll as he struck Shockhound down. Shockhound looked up as Grayson grabbed Drake's Diamond Saber. Shockhound froze as a green aura surrounded Grayson, "Roar of Time!"
A flash of energy appeared as Shockhound was hit. As he landed on the ground, exploding. Grayson grinned as he jumped up, "Yeah!"
As he landed on the ground, he looked up as he saw flames. Grayson stared as he looked across. He noticed two people with cloaks. One held a trumpet while one held a baton. Green and red beams struck Grayson as he landed on the ground. As they combined their powers, a swirl appeared as Grayson saw the earth underneath his fall. Grayson looked up as he was motionless, seeing the whole world swallow up. Gircannon's voice could be heard…
"AH!"
Grayson woke up in a cold sweat from his bed. Looking over, he could see Laguna next to him, sleeping softly. Grayson took a deep breath as he placed his feet on the floor. It has been a few days since the Distortion Rift. He was very surprised at how much damage was done. He looked straight across as he headed for the bathroom. Washing his face, he looked across as he saw his reflection. Grayson looked down as he shook his head, looking at the sink and then at his face.
Looking across, a flash of green appeared in the hall. Grayson noticed his Fossil Saber glowing. He looked up as he grabbed it, "I don't think was an ordinary dream."

Chapter 45: The Deathly Orchestra
Gircannon laughed as he walked down the stairs of the bridge. Maracturne and the other villains were also nervous as they were looking at the cloaked humans. They've been on the bridge for some time now, experimenting with things and understanding the background of what Gircannon wanted. As they walked on either side of Gircannon, he turned around as he looked at them.
"So… this is Dai and Pal. Besides Santiland who helped plant those clones, I used them to create my plot. I've borrowed essences from Dialga and Palkia to make this work," said Gircannon.
"Palkia? I've never heard of that Pokémon," said Ferro Striker, turning to look at them, "You never told me about this."
"That was top secret," Gircannon said, waving his staff, "Now, that you know…"
He turned around as he went to sit down. Ferro Striker looked at the henchmen as Gircannon went to stretch his hand out, "The goal is to unlock a distortion so powerful that we can swallow up this planet."
"He will need the crystals and the Adamant Orb to do it," said Ferro Striker, turning around, "Correct?"
"And something else… if Dai and Pal can execute the plan. To make this final phase work, I will need all of your help to make sure that this works. There is no out. It is time to finish what I've started. Dai and Pal…"
Dai and Pal turned around, walking toward Gircannon. Gircannon looked down, "Begin the plot. It's time we give the rangers a taste of their own medicine."
Dino Paradise…
A flash of green light occurred as Grayson was heading down the stairs, walking toward the table. He had some rings under his eyes as his face looked like he was hungover from a long night. Dragging his feet to the chair, he found a coffee maker that Jo recently installed. As he poured the coffee, he turned around as he went to sit down. Rubbing his eyes, he went to have a sip as he was sitting in sweet silence. However, that silence was short lived. Flashes of black and aqua light appeared behind as Grayson rolled his eyes. The sound of Kyland's voice filled the whole area.
"So, that was a fun reception at the Dragonfly mansion," Kyland said, walking down the stairs, "Atticus fell in Amii's pool."
"Yeah… because her Espeon chased after him over Pokémon food," said Joe, "Actually, Espeon used Psychic and threw him in the pool."
Looking up to make coffee, Grayson looked up as Joe was making another cup. He punched him in the arm, "Wake up, dude."
"I did have some peace and quiet….," Grayson muttered.
"How much did you have last night?" asked Kyland, looking at him. Grayson looked up as he turned to him, "For your information, I left before it got crazy."
"You left the party?" asked Joe.
"Yeah… I hung out with Laguna last night and went to bed… then that dream happened," Grayson responded as he sipped a cup. Grayson looked up as Joe looked over, "Let me guess. You and Mack were superheroes, fighting crime."
"I wouldn't put it that way," Grayson mentioned, "But, what I can tell you is that I saw two people cloaked and they were using a trumpet and a baton…. To blow things up. I also saw the Adamant Orb in there… Sinnoh blows up… it was an interesting nightmare."
"I assure you it wasn't a nightmare. Two cloaked people?"
Grayson turned around as he noticed Drake was near him. Grayson slowly nodded as Drake sat down, drinking a glass of water, "Dai and Pal… the Dimensional Orchestra."
"Dimensional Orchestra?" asked Kyland.
"Well, they are called the Deathly Orchestra. When Gircannon captured my essence, he also captured Palkia's essence. He was able to create two people to help create distortions. It wouldn't surprise me that when he did what he did with Santiland, that those two creatures were unlocked."
"Well, how did Palkia get involved is my question," Joe commented as he went to sip his coffee. Joe turned around as Drake went to answer his question, "I don't know Palkia did either… but my friend and I were used for Gircannon's experiment when I was taken by him to be used for evil."
"I wonder…," said Grayson, "Then if that dream was a warning rather than a dream."
"That could be it," Drake responded, "But, I don't want to alarm anyone yet until we have more evidence. But, this could be it."
"It?" asked Kyland.
Joe sighed as he placed his hand on his head, "Yup, here we go. Kyland, if I am reading Drake's body language, we are about to head to the final battle."
Oreburgh Fossil Museum…
A few hours passed as the rangers were helping Roark set up the exhibit. As it was quiet with only a few stragglers, Leona and Lisa were helping with the new exhibit as Grayson was finishing. He was more awake as he went to get new items. As he did, he turned around as Leona arrived.
"So, you've been quiet," said Leona, "You usually are, but not like that."
"What do you mean?" Grayson asked.
"Your body language is showing," Lisa said, turning to the green ranger. Grayson sighed as he turned to the rangers. The green ranger sighed as he went to finish, "I had the roughest dream on Earth… but after going to Drake, it's no longer a dream."
Lisa and Leona turned to him as Grayson turned around. Grayson filled them in for thirty seconds on what he learned. Leona turned around as she went to Lisa and then turned to Grayson, "So, you mean Gircannon has another plan?"
"It has to be…" said Grayson, "The fact that Dialga and Palkia's essences were used to open distortions and dimensions is probable."
No sooner he said that, Atticus and Joe were heading toward them. Atticus walked over as he went to speak, "So, nice to know what's not going on."
Grayson rolled his eyes, "Drake said not to get worried about it."
"But," said Atticus, turning around, "We need to be informed about it. Unless, you're worried something will happen."
The green ranger turned around as he looked at him. Atticus shook his head as Grayson went to finish. As he finished putting the exhibit together, he slowly turned his head as he froze. Leona and Lisa walked over as they saw Grayson's face. Atticus and Joe turned around as they saw it too. Dai and Pal were walking with their weapons.
"No way…," said Leona, looking at them.
"How did they know?" asked Lisa.
Immediately, Dai picked up the trumpet and started playing it. As the trumpet started playing, a red aura surrounded the five of them as the rangers tried to cover their ears. The rangers fell to their knees as their eyes opened. Red eyes surrounded them as they stood up. Pal used the conducting baton, waving it. A green aura surrounded them as the crew walked outside. Pal was waving the baton as they were following the two.
As they were heading out the door, more people were heading out, following them. Within a few minutes, the group was heading around the corner, near a distortion rift that already opened. Dai continued playing its trumpet solo as the rift began to glow. Pal laughed as she was leading Leona first through the rift. Leona involuntarily went to step in, only for an electric pulse to hit Dai's trumpet. Dai's trumpet dropped as it landed on the ground. The red aura that surrounded the rangers disappeared as the townspeople looked, noticing them. Everyone scrambled as the rangers struck a fighting pose. Mack jumped up as he slashed Dai and Pal across. Dai and Pal turned around as they went to fight back, knocking him down. He turned around as he grabbed the trumpet, breaking one of the valves that was in the trumpet. As the trumpet began to glow in a purple light, the distortion closed. The rangers cleared everybody as they headed toward Dai and Pal.
"These were the two you were talking about?" asked Joe.
Grayson nodded, "We need to stop the… now."
Mack turned around as he glanced to his left. Mooks were heading toward the group, "We've got company!"
Leona and the others grabbed their Fossil Chargers, "Fossil Charger, Energize!"
Fossil Chargers, Energize!
"Unleash the Power!"
Six beams of energy surrounded them as they transformed into their suits. As soon as their suits materialized, the rangers began their attack. Joe and Atticus grabbed their Fossil Blasters, shooting down the Mooks in their area. While the Mooks were down, Leona, Lisa and Grayson used their Fossil Sabers to slash the Mooks to the ground. As the Mooks fell, Mack reached for the trumpet again. Dai knocked him in the face as Mack landed on the ground. Grayson turned as he went to jump, trying to reach for the trumpet. Pal quickly grabbed the trumpet as Dai was picked up. A green aura surrounded Pal as the two disappeared. The rangers took a deep breath as Grayson looked up.
"Ugh… just what we need right now," Grayson muttered.
Ferro Fett's Ship…
Gircannon was cleaning his staff as he went through his book that was on the desk. As he turned each page, he scratched his chin as he looked at what he saw. He knew what he needed to do, but it required Dai and Pal to get what he needed. He turned around as he looked at the bridge doors opening. Pal grabbed Dai with its broken trumpet. The broken trumpet was on Gircannon's lap. Gircannon took a deep breath as he looked at the trumpet, "So, I see the trumpet is broken. How?"
"We were on a roll… the Gold Ranger broke the spell," said Pal.
"Damn…," Gircannon hissed as he turned around, looking at Dai and Pal, "The purpose of this orchestra is to acquire the darkness of each human soul. It's the only way I can create the ultimate weapon!"
"Well…," Pal started to say, "I know it's just Dai's trumpet, but I am sure the Mooks can help me."
"How can they help?" asked Ferro Striker, overhearing their conversation, "They're Mooks."
"Simple," said Pal.
Pal snapped its fingers as a few Mooks arrived without any lights or auras. The Mooks looked at each other, staring at Pal. Pal snapped its fingers. Within a few seconds, a purple aura surrounded the Mooks as they were armed with violins, flutes or violas with them. Pal grinned as it turned to Gircannon. Gircannon looked at Pal as Pal took a score.
"Distortion Symphony in D Minor," said Gircannon, looking at Pal, "Why a concert?"
"Well," Dai said, looking at Pal as it went to fix the trumpet, "Each instrument can control an audience… with the score as the center and Pal conducting, we can gather as many souls to help build that clock."
"And to get what you need…," said Pal, "That is, if you want it."
Gircannon took a deep breath as it turned to Ferro Striker. Ferro Striker shook his head, "I think you've lost your mind."
"I didn't lose my mind, Ferro. I like their idea… anything at this point to help build my master plan. Set it up," Gircannon ordered.
Dino Paradise…
"Interesting frequency."
The rangers were overhearing as Jo was sitting on her laptop. The other four rangers were debriefed on what happened as Jo was looking at the music on the screen. Kyland turned around as he looked at Grayson, "Why didn't you call us?"
"I don't think he was able to," said Mack, looking at Kyland, "Also, we didn't have that much time. Dai and Pal were going to take them in."
Thomas turned around as he was analyzing the patterns, "It seems the power of the trumpet is what controls everybody. But, I sense something stronger."
"Stronger?" asked Dan, "It controls people. How strong can it get?"
"Darkness… this music can take control of people's souls and minds. Pokémon, too. And seeing that each trainer has at least one Pokémon in this region, it can be done," Thomas replied, walking toward the rangers, "The question though is what is their motive?"
"Well… maybe it has something to do with Gircannon?" asked Kyland, "I mean, Leona did tell us. Gircannon wants to swallow this whole planet whole. He will destroy whoever is in his way. That's why he wanted us. He probably wanted the crystals too."
Drake walked over as he stepped down the stairs, this time holding a purple crate. The rangers looked over as they saw in the crate, purple and blue headphones with green buttons on either side. The rangers looked at Jo as Drake turned to them, "This should inhibit the frequencies."
"Noise cancelling headphones?" asked Kyland, looking at them, "You're expecting me to wear these?"
"It's either that or be a part of Gircannon's plan," said Thomas, "Stop whining and take one."
Kyland rolled his eyes as he grabbed his headphones. Each ranger grabbed a pair of headphones. Jo headed over as she pressed the green button on hers, "Set yours to 450 Hz… it's just enough to block the sound."
"450?" asked Dan.
"Yes… because typical music is set to A-440 Hz," said Jo, turning to Dan. Dan nodded as he pressed a few buttons. As the rangers went to set up the headphones, Grayson looked down as he went to pick up the saber. He already modified his headphones. He stretched his hand as the green crystal went toward his body, exiting Dino Paradise.
Route 208…
"Typhlosion, Feraligatr… attack!"
He raised his Fossil Saber as it cut the rope that was in front of him. The ropes released wooden sticks that emerged from all ends. Typhlosion released a flamethrower, burning the wood pieces. Feraligatr released bursts of water from his mouth, destroying the wooden chips. As more was heading toward them, Meganium and Ampharos turned around. Meganium released a cluster of leaves, slashing the wood while Ampharos burnt them with electricity. Sneasel slashed each one as the five of them landed together. Grayson turned around as he withdrew the Fossil Saber, watching one heading toward them. A green aura surrounded his sword as he cut the wooden spear in two, explosions appeared as he turned to them.
"That was a great training session," said Grayson, turning to the Pokémon. As the Pokémon were encouraged, a red wave surrounded them as the Pokémon overheard. Quickly, Grayson grabbed his headphones. Grayson dashed for his Poké Balls. Grayson picked them up, returning each one. As the Pokémon were fighting to return, Grayson succeeded as he placed them on his belt. He turned to notice a few trainers walking over with their Pokémon.
As he followed the trainers, the Poké Balls on Grayson's belt erupted everywhere. The Pokémon were in control. Turning around, Grayson noticed Dai with his new trumpet. It was red with golden valves as he played. Grayson grabbed his Fossil Blaster as he went to strike. Immediately, Dai released a blue energy pulse from the trumpet. Grayson's headphones flew across. As they landed, Grayson quickly went to press his Fossil Charger, "Kabutops Charger, Energize!"
As he placed it in the charger, he noticed the wave of control heading straight toward him. He spun the blaster as he transformed into his suit. Grayson jumped up as he went to strike Dai. Dai turned around as he kicked Grayson, slashing him with his trumpet. Grayson landed on the ground as Dai released a blue beam of energy. Sparks flew as he landed on the ground. As he looked up, he noticed Mooks also helping. The Mooks had a few violins and violas marching with a few of the band instruments. Dai laughed as he turned to him.
"What is this?" asked Grayson.
"Grayson!"
Grayson turned around as the other rangers arrived, with the exception of Jo. Kyland turned around as he noticed the Mooks, "What is with the instruments?"
"The instruments are causing this," said Thomas.
"You got it right, grey," a voice said.
The sound of Shockhound's voice filled the rangers' ears as Shockhound grinned with his saber, "You see, rangers… you are interrupting the Deathly Orchestra."
"I can see that," Leona said, stepping forward, "And we are going to stop your plan!"
Lisa turned, noticing everyone was walking toward Dai and Pal. Dai and Pal began to glow as they disappeared in the white light. Leona turned around as she looked at Shockhound, "Follow them!"
As they went to follow, a golden bolt struck Leona's feet as the rangers collapsed. Dan turned as he saw Shockhound with two sabers, his original one and the flaming one that he had from Gircannon.
"We'll handle Shockhound, you guys go," said Mack, turning to Grayson.
"But-," Leona said.
"Go! We'll handle it!" he said.
Leona nodded as the other rangers headed into the woods. The other two rangers withdrew their weapons to fight Shockhound. Shockhound charged forward as the two rangers followed.
Dino Paradise…
Jo was sitting, using her laptop computer as she was trying to pinpoint the location. As she pressed her glasses, she looked up at her screen, seeing something blink. She turned to the Sinnoh Region, seeing a red dot blinking right at Hearthome City.
"Of course…," she said, turning to her Dino Com, "Rangers… it looks like the disturbance is located at the Hearthome City Contest Hall. There's a lot of radiant energy coming from the Mooks."
Jo went to grab her Fossil Blaster as she ran out the door, stretching her hand. The violet crystal shot out from the charging station into her hand as she went to leave.
Route 208…
"Thunder Fire Strike!"
Flames and lightning crashed on Mack and Grayson as the two of them landed on the ground. As they rolled on the ground, Mack carefully got up as he went to strike with his Golden Amber Saber. Grayson grabbed his Fossil Saber as he went to strike. Shockhound pushed them out of the way. Next, Grayson pulled his blaster, dragging it down his shoulder.
"Dino Armor, engage!"
A green aura surrounded him as the Kabutops Slasher arrived. Both weapons slashed Shockhound as he landed on the ground. Shockhound turned around as he went to use his weapon. As he did, Shockhound groaned as he had a headache. Mack turned to Grayson as he watched how he held his head.
"Now…," said Grayson, "Let's go!"
Mack nodded as he dashed over. Shockhound chased after them. Grayson quickly grabbed a purple charger and placed it in his Kabutops Charger. Turning around, he pulled the trigger. Tons of smog opened as Shockhound was caught. Shockhound coughed as the two rangers headed toward the mess.
"Nice move," Mack mentioned.
"Yep…," said Grayson, "Now for my next move! Cyclizar Charger!"
Mack and Grayson pressed their Fossil Chargers as they went to place them in their morphers. A yellow aura shot out as the Dome Cyclizar and the Amber Cyclizar landed on the ground. Grayson and Mack hopped on their bikes and headed straight toward Hearthome City. As they were driving through the route, there was a chime coming through Grayson's helmet. Grayson looked up as Jo's face appeared in her visor.
"Jo… what's up?"
"I forgot to mention that besides the headphones, the helmets can also be modified to block the sound. You can modify them using the same frequency," said Jo, "I'll send self-directions how en route to Hearthome. How are you holding up?"
"Well," said Mack, "We lost Shockhound. However, I have a burning question…"
"Yeah?" asked Grayson, looking at Mack. Mack took a deep breath, "Shockhound was acting like Demongun for a minute."
"It's probably because of the saber he picked up in the Distortion World," Jo said, turning to Mack. Mack shrugged as he held on to the Cyclizar. Jo turned around as she looked at the others, "Alright, I got to go. But I'll send directions."
"Understood!"
The com link disabled as the two trainers headed to Hearthome City. Upon entrance, the two rangers followed the people. As the two rangers hopped off their Cyclizar, a green and golden aura surrounded them as they disappeared. Mack knelt down as Grayson went to press a few buttons. Mack followed suit as he turned to look at where everyone was going.
"Are you ready?"
"Ready?" asked Grayson, "I'm a little worried."
He went to reach for his Dino Com. As he pressed it, he turned away, "Leona, you there?"
"Yeah," said Leona, "We are just at the entrance, but hiding until the audience goes away. We are by the backstage entrance of the Hearthome Contest Hall."
"Okay," said Mack, looking at his own Dino Com, "Princess, what is the plan?"
"Simple. We are going to enter through the back," said Leona, "Thomas and Jo are going to find the master lights in the hall. When the lights go down, we are going to stand in the back. When Jo turns on the lights, we destroy everything and make sure Dai and Pal's orchestra stops sending people."
Grayson nodded as he and Mack started running toward the Hearthome Contest Hall, "We're on our way."
Hearthome Contest Hall…
The contest hall had white lights that were shown on the stage. Dai turned around as Pal arrived with the conductor baton. The Mooks were sitting together in sections: strings, woodwinds, brass and there was a lot of percussion. Maracturne, Cremelia and Turnchou were ushering the controlled humans and Pokémon to their seats. As Maracturne turned around, he looked at Dai and Pal, "Are you sure we are ready?"
"We just need to tune and then we will start Movement 1… close the doors!" Pal shouted.
Turnchou nodded as he ran up the stairs toward the red and white doors. As he pulled them, the doors began to close. With the doors locked, Turnchou headed down the stairs as he sat with Cremelia and Maracturne. Pal stepped on the podium with the baton. Turning to the strings, the Mooks in the strings section began to start tuning. As everyone started tuning, Pal nodded as Dai stood up, walking toward the front. Pal turned around as the first movement began. The movement began with strings and percussion. The green aura surrounded them as the woodwinds and brass joined in. Getting softer, Dai began to play the trumpet. A red aura surrounded the trumpet as a distortion opened. Rather than having people go through, a blue aura surrounded the trumpet as everyone's darkness was being transferred to the trumpet. Purple and blue auras surrounded the trumpet as it was going right into the distortional rift.
Ferro Fett's Ship…
Ferro Striker turned around as he saw a blue and purple surrounded the bridge. He turned to Gircannon with happiness as Gircannon opened his book. A blue and purple aura surrounded it as dark hearts from people and Pokémon were filling the book. Gircannon touched his hand as a red aura surrounded him.
"Come to me… souls of darkness!"
Ferro Striker turned around as now a flood of darkness filled the area. Gircannon looked up as blue lightning surrounded the bridge. His eyes began to glow in a red aura. As he opened his mouth, a Giratina surrounded him as his teeth began to sharpen.
Hearthome Contest Hall…
As the first movement continued, the rangers knelt, sneaking in as they went toward backstage. Joe looked around as he noticed the percussion section. He examined what he was seeing. Dai's trumpet solo was used to send the darkness to Gircannon. The orchestra was controlling them. He turned around as he looked at the others.
"We need to act fast…," said Joe, "Dai is sending something into that distortion."
Jo nodded as she turned to Thomas. Thomas nodded as he examined the area, "The master system is on the other side of the Contest Hall. Literally the top floor."
"And…," said Joe, "Turnchou, Cremelia and Maracturne are near the system."
"Wonderful. Just wonderful," Lisa said, rolling her eyes.
"Alright," said Dan, turning to the team. He looked up as he took a deep breath, "I have an idea…"
"Dan…," Leona responded, grabbing him by the shoulder, "Let's try a different approach."
The silver ranger turned around as he spoke to her, "I have a really good idea."
He grinned as he grabbed a Hypnosis Charger from his belt. He turned around as he found the backstage exit door. Opening it, he turned around as he rushed up the stairs. Looking up, it was obvious that they were prepared. The Mooks were hanging out by the front entrance. Dan grinned as he pressed the Hypnosis Charger. Placing it into the Diamond Blaster, he pulled the trigger. A pink aura was unleashed as the Mooks were knocked out. Dan stretched out his Ancient Dagger, slashing the door. As he opened the door carefully, he headed into the main room, looking at the master controls. The master controls were connected to the sound and lights. Dan grinned as he found the red button with a blinking light. It was an emergency shut-off button. Grinning behind his helmet, he pressed it. As he did, the stage lights turned off and the red lights turned on. Dai looked up as it turned around. Pal looked up as someone grabbed the baton. Pal turned around as the lights turned back on. Grayson grinned as he snapped the baton. All of the darkness and distortions that were created, were stopped. All of the instruments that were created, were destroyed. The Mooks looked up as the other eight rangers attacked them. Dai went to strike, only for Grayson to slash Gircannon's henchmen.
Above, everyone was escaping and screaming in horror. Turnchou turned around as he saw Dan helping everybody evacuate. Turning around, Turnchou used his magnet blaster. An electric pulse occurred as Dan used his Ancient Dagger as a lightning rod, reflecting the electricity toward Turnchou. Turnchou, Cremelia and Maracturne rolled down the chairs in horror as they landed on the ground. Dan grinned, heading down the stairs as the rangers finished the rest of the Mooks. Pal and Dai turned to each other as Grayson stood forward.
"You conducted your last movement," said Grayson.
"It's a little late," Pal said, laughing, "You may have broke my conducting baton, but… you didn't stop Gircannon."
"What?" asked Leona.
Ferro Fett's Ship…
The distortion portal severed as Gircannon absorbed just enough energy. Gircannon grinned as he raised his hand. A ruby chain was created, emanating energy from it. Ferro Striker looked at it as he turned to him.
"Boss, what is that?"
Gircannon grinned as he channeled his energy crystal. A ruby aura surrounded Gircannon as he released energy. The ruby energy surrounded Ferro Striker as he upgraded. Ferro Striker had two black gauntlets with finger rocket launchers on either side. He also had two green turrets attached to his back. His eyes began to glow in a yellow aura as he turned to him.
"What is this?" he asked.
"Simple… the power of the Ruby Chain… which you will see soon enough," said Gircannon, "Now… let's make some music of our own."
Hearthome Contest Hall…
"Let's go team!" said Leona. While Dan, Jo, Kyland, Thomas and Mack were dealing with the rest of the Mooks, the core five were fighting against Dai and Pal. Leona grabbed the Dino Spiker Charger, "Dino Spiker, Energize!"
Pressing the button, a blue charger surrounded it as Leona threw it in the air. The weapons were thrown up in the air as well. The Tyrantrum Fang stood as the base. The Carracosta Shield was placed on top of the Tyrantrum Fang. The Armaldo Claw and Kabutos Slasher connected to either side of the blaster. The Basitodon Drill connected to the end. The Dino Spiker charger went inside the front of the blaster. A golden energy surge surrounded it as Leona grabbed it.
"Dino Spiker, Horn Drill!"
As the spiker was thrown, it turned into a horn as it started spinning. Tyrantrum, Armaldo, Carracosta, Kabutops and Bastiodon emerged out, heading toward Dai and Pal. Dai stepped forward as it absorbed the power with the trumpet. The rangers watched as Dai blew into the trumpet, releasing a red pulse of energy. All five rangers were hit as they landed on the contest stage.
"Leona!"
Dan hopped over as Leona carefully got up. Leona turned around as she looked at Dan, "Well, tried something different today."
As the rangers went to fight the two, Dai and Pal began to glow in a blue and purple aura. Disappearing, the rangers dashed over as they tried to grab the two. Leona turned around as she looked at them, "Where'd they go?"
BOOM! The Contest Hall was shaking as they felt the lights flicker. Jo turned around as she dashed toward the backstage exit, with the rangers following her. As they dashed out, the rangers froze as they were looking at Ferro Striker's appearance. Ferro Striker laughed as he stood in the middle with Dai and Pal on either side.
Ferro Striker raised his finger rockets. Green and black energy was unleashed as rockets emerged. The rangers looked up as the energy surrounded the distortion that was above him. The rockets struck throughout the city, including the rangers. The rangers yelled as they took cover, seeing explosions surround them. As the rangers landed on the ground, Leona looked up as she turned to the others, "We need to stop him!"
"Gladly," said Joe, "Relic Claws, Energize!"
Pressing the button, an orange glow surrounded his hands as the Relic Claws arrived, "Crush Claw!"
Black and purple claws combined as he dug through, heading toward Ferro Striker. A blue and purple shield surrounded him as he tried to break through. An explosion occurred as Joe flew backwards, landing on the ground.
"My turn!" said Mack.
"Wait for me!" said Dan.
"Thunder Fang Slash!"
Swinging his saber, a yellow bolt of energy appeared with yellow and electric teeth emerged.
"Trinity Slash!"
Three silver slashes, combined into a triangle surrounded the Thunder Fang Slasher as it combined with Ferro Striker. Ferro Striker laughed as blue energy bolts surrounded him, absorbing the energy and sending it to Mack and Dan with twice the power. Explosions surrounded them as the rangers landed on the ground.
Grayson turned around as he went to strike with his Fossil Saber. A green aura surrounded him as he went to use a new finisher.
"Roar… of Time!" he shouted.
As he went to strike with his blade, an energy pulse surrounded Grayson as he fell to the ground. Grayson carefully got up as Ferro Striker laughed, "You seriously planned to use Drake's move? Hahahaha this is perfect."
"Grayson, you okay?" asked Lisa.
"Yeah," said Grayson, getting up with his saber. Jo turned around as she went to grab her Aurorus Bazooka. A violet aura surrounded the bazooka as she aimed for Dai, "Hyper Beam!"
A violet energy beam headed straight for Dai. Dai turned around as it used its trumpet, absorbing its energy. The energy was unleashed as the rangers were hit. The rangers landed on the ground as Leona turned to them, "That's it! Tyrantrum, I choose you!"
Pressing the Tyrantrum charger, she threw it in the air. A red aura surrounded it as Tyrantrum appeared, placing its feet on the ground. Roaring, Leona turned around as she revealed her white charger, "Tyrantrum Max Charger, energize!"
A white aura surrounded the charger as she threw it across. Within seconds, Tyrantrum opened its mouth and absorbed it. Immediately, a red aura surrounds Tyrantrum as it shrunk into a miniature size. As Leona grabbed Tyrantrum, she petted its head. Tyrantrum jumped up as it transformed into a red pistol. As the blaster opened, she withdrew her Fossil Charger.
"Fossil Charger, Energize!"
As she pressed the Tyrantrum charger, she placed it in the Tyrantrum Max Blaster. A red aura surrounded her as her ranger suit appeared. A golden aura surrounded her body as a Tyrantrum emerged from behind her. A red aura csurrounded her armor as a Tyrantrum face was placed on her chest. It was gold with green eyes. She also had gold armor on her shoulders. Turning around, she also had gold spikes on her helmet as her visor had green and ruby lines.
"Tyrantrum Max! Dino Super Charge Red!"
"Victory Charger, energize!" shouted Leona.
"Maximum Charger, energize!" shouted Mack.
Pressing the chargers together, a bluish-pinkish aura surrounded the charger as mega charger combined into one. Sliding into the Tyrantrum Max Blaster, the rangers stood together. The five rangers charged energy into the Victory Charger where Mack, Kyland and Thomas filled their energy into the Maximum Charger.
A golden energy beam formed in the blaster, aiming for Dai, Pal and Ferro Striker.
"Victory Maximum Beam!"
A bluish-white beam struck out of the Tyrantrum Max Blaster, with eight lights of energy coming from their prospective prehistoric Pokémon. As the energy challenged, Ferro Striker laughed as he grabbed Gircannon's book that he was able to use from Gircannon, "Distortion Destruction!"
The book absorbed the energy blast. The rangers watched as Ferro Striker opened the book. A purple shockwave with their energy blast occurred as the rangers landed on the ground. Explosions surrounded the area as the rangers tried to get up. The shockwave destroyed a few buildings, including damage from the Contest Hall. Leona turned around as she tried to get up.
"How do we stop them?" asked Leona. Sparks flew from her suit as the others went to get up. Flashes of energy appeared as their suits disappeared. The rangers had some cuts and burns from the attack. Tyrantrum was thrown across, damaged from the attack.
"Simple… You can't."
The rangers turned around, seeing Gircannon with the other henchmen. The rangers froze as Gircannon began to speak, "I told you I plan on ending you and turning this world into my playground. I wasn't kidding. Dai and Pal have been a great help. Ferro Striker has upgraded thanks to my powers."
"Powers?" Jo asked.
"That is confidential information," said Gircannon, "This is your final warning. Surrender your energy crystals."
"Well, obviously you'll take them by force if we don't," Kyland said.
"And more…" Gircannon replied, "In due time."
A flash of energy appeared as the villains disappeared into a distortion hole. The rangers turned around as they looked at each other in silence. Leona turned around as she was looking at the others, "What does he mean by more?"
"More importantly," said Kyland, looking at the team, "This sounds a little morbid, but he really meant this is our last warning."
"Yeah… and we have a powered-up Ferro Striker. What are we going to do now?" asked Mack, who was trying to figure out how to handle the situation.
Grayson turned around as he aimed his saber, throwing it across. As it did, the saber landed right at Drake's feet. The rangers looked up as Drake appeared. Drake had a few tears in his eyes, looking at the rangers.
"I was worried about you," Drake said, "We need to head back and come up with a new plan."
Ferro Fett's Ship…
"Well the orchestra was a failure," Maracturne said, kneeling down. The other henchmen did the same as Ferro Striker and Gircannon were looking down at them. Maracturne looked up as Gircannon looked down at him. He turned to Ferro Striker as he grinned, "We cut the rangers at the knees anyway. They bided enough time."
"What do you mean bided?" asked Shockhound.
Ferro Striker grinned as Gircannon waved a ruby crystal around his neck. It began to shine as he looked at them, "Dai and Pal sent enough souls to activate Phase 3 of my plan. The earth has about 48 hours to enjoy itself…"
Ferro Striker examined the Ruby Chain, he looked at Gircannon, wanting to take it. Gircannon removed it as he smacked him, "No, Ferro Striker."
"But, we can use that crystal to destroy the rangers!" Ferro Striker said. The look of Gircannon's face was not surprised as he turned to him, "Patience, Ferro Striker. We will have PLENTY of time. Let them gloat for now. The Earth will swallow."
He turned around as he looked at Dai and Pal who walked silently with their instruments. He grinned as he turned around, looking at the screen. He smiled as he opened his book, "Prepare…for the endgame."

The rangers gather as they learn about the Ruby Chain… the essence of Giratina which could cause dimensional rifts. However, the rangers face off old villains in Lake Verity, which breaks into a whole war. But, in order to save the team, one of their own is sacrificed to protect the dimensions.

A/N: Yep, now this is where it gets interesting! The rangers face off against Dai and Pal, who are Gircannon's knights that use their instruments to control things and use the human spirit to channel what Gircannon wanted to do, which will be involved in the next chapter. I look forward to the next chapter to see where it all goes. This was supposed to be updated yesterday, but I forgot.
