Season 3: Episode 7
Both Brian and Beth smiled as they made their way down the street. They were on a date, but a simple casual one, hence their more relaxed outfits, namely a pair of black shorts, with matching socks and sneakers along with a simple white T-shirt for Brian. Beth meanwhile wore green shorts, that really showed off her legs which Brian certainly enjoyed, a green tank-top and black flats. Brian wrapped his arm around Beth's shoulders.
"You look gorgeous," Brian exclaimed.
Beth beamed.
"You look handsome," She replied.
They both laughed lightly, yes, even in simple casual clothes, instead of something fancy, they found each other irresistible. With the arm around her shoulder leaving her feeling comfortable and safe, Beth rested her head on Brian's shoulder and they continued to walk, enjoying the pleasant summer weather. Their date was set to buy a quick meal before going to enjoy a movie at the theatre closest to them. They had both actually decided, mutually, to go to this theatre and even picked out the same movie, something which made them laugh. As they walked Beth came up with an idea and quickly pulled out her earphones, handing one to Brian, he grinned and gratefully accepted it and soon they were both listening to and enjoying music from Beth's playlist, glancing at each other as they did so, Beth smirking as Brian's gaze kept drifting to her bare legs.
'I knew wearing these shorts was the perfect idea.'
They were both overjoyed as they reached the movie theatre, before going on they turned to face each other and shared a strong and loving kiss.
XXXXX
The happy couple had left the theatre, smiling widely, having greatly enjoyed the movie and were simply basking in each other's company, things were looking up for both of them they noted.
"That was awesome, thanks for bringing me out like this." Beth said warmly.
Brian nodded. "It was the least I could do. I'm glad you enjoyed it."
They both got lost in each other's eyes for a moment, before they resumed their walk. Ever the gentleman, Brian was escorting Beth back home to the Greene farm.
"Isn't it gonna be a bit of a walk for you to get back though?" She queried as they began to draw closer to the farm.
Brian shrugged. "It's fine, I'll be fine-"
He was cut off and groaned, as did Beth as suddenly, right above them, a boom of thunder and the heavens opened as the storm began to hit them hard.
"You've gotta be kidding!" Beth complained.
Brian shook his head. "Nothing for it, c'mon."
With that they hurried onwards, hands still linked as they ran all the way to the Greene farm through the rainstorm that had literally just unleashed itself on them. They couldn't help but note the irony of their date being going so well, only for the ending of it to completely sink into a blast of unexpected weather turning for the worst, especially due to their attire not being suited for such weather.
They finally reached the Greene farm and hurried up to the door. Beth was reaching into her purse, fumbling for her key, but then, to their surprise, the door opened to reveal Hershel was already there.
"Quick, inside, both of you." He called out.
They quickly got inside and Hershel shut the door before turning to them.
"Are you both okay, that storm was unexpected." He said worriedly.
Both teens nodded, still drenched from the rain but thankfully, that was all.
"Well, we didn't slip or fall down or anything." Beth remarked with relief. "Just glad you were home, dad."
"Yes well, you better go and get changed." He said with a nod before turning to Brian. "As for you young man, you'll need to get changed too, I'll see if Shawn has any spare clothes, you're both about the same size."
"Thank you, sir." Brian said. "I should also call home...let my parents know where I am."
Hershel nodded. "Yes well, let them know you're saying the night, I'm not sending you back out in that."
Brian was surprised, but nodded in agreement and while Beth went off to get changed, Brian followed Hershel to get some clothes and he was left alone to change. Removing his wet clothes he was pleased to see his red boxers thankfully were still dry, so he just kept them on and pulled on the clothes that Hershel had given him. Once he was changed he left the room and found Beth, also changed, waiting on the sofa for him. He went and sat next to her, the two sharing a soft kiss before they sat back and relaxed.
"Well, it didn't turn out like we expected, but at least we're safe and dry." He said.
Beth nodded. "Yeah, still, it was fun for us together, wasn't it?"
Brian nodded in agreement at that, very happy, so long as he was with Beth.
End of chapter, hope you enjoyed it, read and review please.
