Huntresses of Fairy Tail
"I can't believe that insensitive jerk." Yang grumbled, as they walked down the streets of Magnolia, heading for the Fairy Tail Guild Hall. "We finally have a chance to get some answers from him, but then he just up and leaves like that." She said with a snap of her fingers, causing sparks to ignite.
"You can't really blame him for leaving though." Blake said. "He had at least two more S-Class Quests to finish."
"You have to at least respect his work ethic." Weiss said.
"It's fine Yang." Ruby said. "Blake and Weiss told us he'd be at the Guildhall when we returned, so we just gotta get back there."
"This trip has taken us about two days, one way." Weiss said. "What I find annoying, is that Raion didn't split the reward with us."
"Weiss, we weren't registered to do the job with him." Blake said. "So we don't get a piece of the reward."
"Still, jerk could have at least said goodbye to us before he left." Yang stated. "Like, how the hell did his tail grow back?"
"Maybe it's a Saiyan thing?" Ruby said. "I mean, it seems like Saiyans are similar to monkey Faunus, but different as well."
"We did learn there isn't even a single cell in his body that's human." Blake added. "So maybe it was the Solar Saturation that made it happen."
"We'll know soon enough." Weiss said. "We're back at the Guild."
The moment Ruby reached out to grab the doors leading into the guild hall, they were flung open as someone burst through them, and flew into the streets, rolling to a stop at the lamp post.
"The hell just happened?" Yang questioned, as Ruby picked herself up, and rubbed her nose.
"Who is that?" Weiss asked, as Blake went to look.
"He's an editor for Sorcerer Weekly." Blake said, recognizing him. "I think he's the one that says, cool, all the time."
"His name's Jason."
The girls of RWBY turned to see Mira standing at the door, and an exasperated look on her face.
"He made the mistake of promising Raion's photo in the next monthly issue of Sorcerer Weekly, without Raion's approval. So when he came to try and plead Raion to agree to a photoshoot, Raion… didn't take it too well, but agreed to it anyways." Mira said.
"Why would he, if he didn't approve it?" Weiss asked.
"1, because the promise was made in his name, so if he doesn't do the shoot, he's gonna not only drag his reputation through the mud, but the Guilds as well." Mira said. "2, he promised to only do it, if he had a Beacon Team with him for the shoot. An' given how the Master assigned him to be your Guild Instructor after he got back from his last job, he chose you."
"Us?" Yang asked.
"We're not gonna have to wear skimpy bikini's are we?" Ruby asked.
"Not if you don't want to." Mira said. "Raion's at the bar counter right now, reading over the contract."
"How much does it pay?" Blake asked.
"About $175.00 an hour, per person." Mira said. "An' the shoots tend to last about a full work day or so."
"Alright, we're the newbies of Fairy Tail, and we're already getting into the pages of Sorcerer Weekly." Yang smirked.
"Yang, weren't you mad at Raion like a minute ago?" Weiss asked.
"Oh right, where is he?" Yang questioned, running into the Guildhall.
"So, if Raion agreed to it, why did he send Jason flying?" Ruby asked.
"He punched Jason as a means for getting even with him, for being backed into a corner to agree to the shoot." Mira said. "Which was a little overkill in my opinion, but it all worked out in the end."
"I'd say it was fair." Jason groaned, rubbing his jaw. "I certainly deserved it for playing dirty on getting him to finally agree to a photo shoot, after turning us down so many times."
"Ah, good to see you're awake." Mira smiled, before looking back to the rest of Team RWBY. "Why don't you head inside, Raion and the Master wanna speak with you."
"Alright." Ruby said, before leading her team into the Guildhall.
Inside the Guildhall, the girls found Yang sitting next to Raion, pestering him to answer her. Off to the side of the bar counter, where there were no stools, they saw Lucy, Natsu, and Grey tied up on their knees, with stones on their laps, that Ruby knew for a fact, increased in weight every ten minutes, before resetting after reaching a certain weight point. Around Lucy and Natsu's necks, was a shared sign that read, 'We stole an S-Class Quest.' While Grey's read, 'I joined in on it.'
"Where's Happy?" Blake asked.
"He's Master's personal waiter, for the duration of our punishment, since he's too small for this punishment." Natsu wheezed out.
"Hang in there, you'll feel better once it's all over." Ruby said, before they went to where Yang and Raion were.
"Why the hell did you just leave Galuna Island like that?" Yang questioned, while Raion was still reading the contract given to him by Jason.
"I prefer to finish my jobs within a certain deadline. An' I was already running behind, so I did not have the luxury of waiting for you to wake up." Raion said.
"You still owe Ruby and I some answers mister." Yang said.
"Answers that I'm pretty sure you already know Yang." Raion stated. "Kiiro wasn't the nicest, and certainly wasn't the kindest man alive."
Yang just looked at Raion, realizing that he was right about already having those answers.
"Still, that doesn't explain why you didn't try contacting us again after you joined Fairy Tail." Ruby interjected, seeing how her sister was silent in thought.
"I had my reasons for keeping my distance." Raion said, removing his wind reader glasses. "You wouldn't fully understand them, but my reasons were why I stayed away. Not even Taiyang knew I was still alive. I practically had to rebuild my identity from scratch after joining Fairy Tail."
"That's enough girls." Makarov said, coming in and joining the conversation. "Raion's reasons are his own, so there's no need for you to try and pry them from him, since he's not comfortable with sharing them with the two of you at the moment."
"So with that out of the way, I've got something for all four of you." Raion said, reaching into his bag.
The girls looked confused, before Raion put four bags of money on the counter, with one of them being bigger then the other three.
"Ruby, Weiss, Blake. These are for you." Raion said, handing them the smaller bags. "Yang, this one is yours." He stated, putting the bigger bag into the blonde's hands.
"What are these exactly?" Ruby asked.
"Your share of the reward for the Galuna Island job." Raion said. "You three get, $1,000,000.00 Jewels each, while Yang gets $2,000,000.00."
"Why does Yang get twice as much as us?" Weiss inquired, sounding annoyed and offended.
"Because she's the only one aside from me, who actually fought Deliora." Raion said. "So because she risked her life like that, she gets a bigger share. I divided up the money based on who did what, and split it equally amongst the five of us."
"Meaning you and Yang got the same amount of money in the end." Blake said. "Seems fair to me."
"Not to me." Weiss complained. "I say he gave Yang more, because her boobs are so big."
"Girls, Raion's your superior, and your Guild Instructor. So when he makes up his mind about something, you don't get to complain." Makarov said. "Besides, he did divide it up fairly amongst the five of you."
"Fine." Weiss huffed. "But I still say he's playing favorites because of Yangs boobs."
"You can think whatever you want of me Ice Queen." Raion said. "Now, as for what's to come next."
"We know about the Sorcerer Weekly photo shoot." Blake said.
"I was gonna mention that, but this is different. I was gonna say, we're gonna be taking on an official job together, with me showing you the ropes." Raion said, rotating his neck as if it were in pain.
"But we just got back." Weiss said.
"Which is why we're gonna be reserving it until after the photo shoot." Raion said.
"That makes sense. But it's gotta be one with a big enough reward to where we'll all profit from it." Blake stated.
"Why don't you go and pick out our next job Ruby?" Raion suggested.
"Really?" Ruby asked. "I'm on it."
"Ah-ah, before you grab it." Raion said, grabbing Ruby by her hood as she began to leave. "Take note that it has to be one with a big enough reward that we can split five ways, like Blake said."
"Got it." Ruby smiled, before heading for the job board.
"So, when's the photo shoot?" Yang asked.
"The day after tomorrow." Raion stated. "So if any of you want to wear a specific outfit for the shoot, then I'd suggest you get to picking it out. You all got your pay, so if you don't have an outfit, then I'd suggest you go and buy one you think would look good. It has to remain related to Huntsmen and Huntress work though."
"I'll be sure to let Ruby know, once she's returned from picking our next job." Blake said.
"Raion, this might be a bad time, but I wanna ask you if you've reconsidered my proposal yet?" Makarov asked.
"Proposal?" Weiss asked.
"I've thought about it Master, but I'm fine without it." Raion said. "However, I know you're not gonna stop hounding me about this until I agree, plus the deadline, I concede."
"Concede what?" Blake inquired. "What deadline?"
"Believe it or not girls, Raion hasn't discovered his Semblance yet." Makarov smiled. "Because he doesn't even have his Aura unlocked. What he just conceded to, was consent on letting me unlock his aura."
"WHAT?" The three of them questioned rather loudly.
"No way that's true." Weiss said.
"Believe it Ice Queen." Raion said, showing his Scroll, and the aura bar on the training tracker, showing his icon said, Aura Data Unavailable: Locked!, and that caused Weiss's jaw to drop.
"So then, you're just that powerful, due to your lineage." Blake said.
"I guess." Raion stated, putting his Scroll away. "Problem is, Gramps made a good point last time he offered to unlock my Aura."
"Which was what?" Yang asked, waving her hand in front of Weiss's eyes, but got no reaction. "Also, I think you broke Weiss."
"The point I made, was an S-Class Huntsmen has to send in his credentials to maintain his status as an S-Class. They've got six months to do it, since Guild Life can be demanding. An' Raion here, is nearly reaching the deadline." Makarov said.
"I haven't sent them in yet, because my Aura isn't unlocked, and I have no clue what my Semblance is." Raion said. "But since I'm reaching that deadline fast, I've got no choice but to accept the Masters help with unlocking my Aura."
"Essentially, he loses his place as S-Class if he doesn't send in the credentials." Makarov said. "We can do it right now if you want."
"Ooh, let me unlock his Aura." Yang said.
"If you're certain." Makarov said.
"Okay Raion, turn and face me." Yang said, turning on the stool to face him, with the hybrid doing the same and facing her. "Now, close your eyes, relax, and concentrate." She said in a calming voice, as Raion followed her instructions, while Yang put one hand on his chest. "For it is in passing, that we achieve immortality, through this we become a paragon of virtue and glory to rise above all." She said softly as both Yang and Raions bodies were glowing. "Infinite in distance and unbound by death, I release your soul, and by my shoulder, protect thee."
The moment Yang had finished with unlocking Raions aura, she leaned into the counter, breathing heavily, while resting her head on her arms.
"Yang, you okay?" Blake asked.
"I'll… be fine." Yang huffed. "He's just got, a lot of Aura. More then I've ever felt before."
"My word, these numbers." Makarov said, his eyes on his Scroll, reading the numbers for Raions aura bar. "I've never seen anyone outside of second Master Precht have an aura this bountiful. I'm surprised Yang was able to do it on her own."
"It's that big?" Weiss asked.
"An' it looked as though his aura was silver." Blake said. "I guess it's just another benefit to being a hybrid of a Kryptonian and Saiyan."
"That's so unfair." Weiss huffed.
"Yang, why don't you return to the dorms, and rest up?" Raion suggested. "You look kinda beat."
"An' whose fault do you think that is?" Yang asked.
"You're the one who volunteered to unlock my Aura, so don't play the tsundere card with me." Raion said.
"Can't I just have some of your flames and replenish my energy?" Yang asked.
"Not an option." Raion said. "Natsu learned the hard way, that Godslayer elements can harm Dragonslayers of the same element. Meaning we overwrite that aspect of the Dragonslayers magic."
"So it looks like you're gonna have to make due with this." Makarov said, lighting a fire in a mug of ale and sliding it to Yang.
"Fine." Yang huffed, devouring the flames before downing the ale. "Well, my stamina and Aura's replenished now, so what's next?"
"We could go shopping for those outfits we'll wear at the photo shoot." Blake said.
"Oh yeah, I forgot we could do that." Yang said.
"I'm back." Ruby smiled. "An' I picked out the perfect job for us."
"Let me see?" Raion asked, taking the flier from Ruby. "A job for taking out a large horde of Grimm in the forests near Akane Resort. $1,000.00 a head. This actually is a pretty good job Ruby."
"I know right? It pays per Grimm slain, and it's already been taken and revoked twice due to the overwhelming number of Grimm." Ruby stated.
"It's a wonder how this job hasn't been made an S-Class quest yet. Considering the reward for that job has been increased three times already." Makarov said. "You five be careful when you head out for that job."
"We will." Raion said.
"So, what are we doing first with our next few days off?" Ruby asked.
~Photo Shoot~
"Yang, did we have to pick outfits that were so… revealing?" Ruby asked with a blush, as she stood with her team and Raion, waiting for the photo shoot to begin.
Ruby's clothes for the photo shoot consisted of a black breast band with the Fairy Tail emblem in white over her right breast, under a cropped sleeveless hoodie, black belt covered by a pleated dark red piece of material reaching from hip to hip around the back of her waist, with her emblem emblazoned on the right-most pleat in silver, as well as a pair of tight black spandex compression shorts that reach her upper thighs.
She wore stockings up her legs, with armored knee pads over the stockings, keeping them in place, and a pair of combat heeled ankle boots with retractable iron soles. She wore fingerless forearm gloves, with a plate of metal on the back of each hand, and a length of metal along the surface of the glove, reaching her armored elbow pads. With her stomach left exposed, Ruby revealed the belly button piercing she'd kept hidden from her sister and dad, for quite a while.
"I agree, couldn't we have picked out some clothes that didn't leave us, so exposed?" Weiss questioned. "I mean honestly, who in their right minds, are gonna buy this sort of magazine, with the way we look as the centerfold pieces? We look like a bunch of hooligans and trouble making Faunus."
Weiss's clothes consisted of a snowy blue breast band with the color gradation to pale blue at the hem, with a sweetheart neckline, and a slightly sheer short single sleeved shrug, with the left arm completely exposed from the shoulder down, fastened at the collar with a large sapphire broach that has three pendants dangling from it. Printed on the back of the shrug is the Fairy Tail crest.
A white sash is wrapped multiple times around her waist, over a pair of the icy blue spandex pants, with the right sleeve of her pants, only reaching her upper thigh, and her personal crest on the left hip. Completing her attire are gray blue soled combat slippers and sapphire drop earrings, with a pair of white gloves covering her hands. Her hair was down, with a diamond tiara on her head, and icy white eye shadow over her eyes.
"Weiss, we're here because we agreed to be part of the photo shoot. An' this is the kinda thing that you gotta compromise on sometimes." Blake said. "An' not all Faunus are bad, those in the White Fang are just misguided."
Blakes attire for the photo shoot, consisted of a dark purple sports bra, with white stripes going down the center of the under arms, with a pair of matching tight fitting dark purple yoga tights with two parallel white stripes going down the outsides of her legs, white gym shorts over top of them. She had a pair of weight lifting gripper gloves on her hands, elbow guards, and a pair of white runners with purple soles on her feet. Her makeup remained the same, while her hair was tied up into a braided pony tail at the base of her skull, with the Fairy Tail crest was in black over her right butt cheek on her shorts.
"Hey, we're members of Fairy Tail, we're wild and unpredictable, remember? So we gotta dress the part, while also showing we keep our skills sharp." Yang smiled. "An' Blake's right Weiss, not all Faunus are bad people, they're just misguided due to people who are still racist and complete bigots towards them. Ruby and I could technically be classified as Faunus given how we're Dragonslayers, with the physical and biological constitution of dragons, granted to us by how we obtained our magic. You gonna start being cold and racist towards us?"
Yangs new attire was something Ruby completely expected of her big sister. Instead of the clothes she wore before, Yang was now dressed in a cropped vest, with the top being all there was to cover her chest, leaving some underboob visible, while she wore a pair of leather short shorts, with a black belt connected by a silver belt buckle shaped like the Fairy Tail crest, and a pair of leather combat boots that reached to her upper thighs, held in place by a leather strap in the calves and thighs. Yang had her Ember Celica sitting atop a pair of arm gloves, both missing the thumb, pointer, and middle fingers, while reaching up to her mid upper arms, with her personal crest sewn into the fabric under the top hem of the right glove.
Around her neck, she also wore a black scarf, that resembled Natsu's in pattern, but was thinner, and had a gem on each end instead of tussles, while her hair was down and tied into a pony tail at the base of her skull. With her hair pulled back, Yang showed she had the addition of two cuff earrings in the cartilage of her right ear, seemingly made of pure gemstones, and a purple gemstone stud earring, the size of dimes, in each earlobe.
"I can practically hear dad crying, and questioning why you're dressed like that, while asking the universe, where he went wrong with raising you." Ruby said, looking to her sister. "An' the magazine hasn't even been published yet."
"Hey, if you got it, flaunt it." Yang smiled.
"How are you even keeping your vest from flying open whenever you move?" Weiss asked, feeling slightly envious of Yangs bust size.
"The vest is actually part of a shirt, the strip of cloth in the center that makes it look like I'm showing massive cleavage, is made with a magic that allows the fabric to blend in with the skin tone of anyone who wears it, while making it look like a vest." Yang explained. "It also melds into the cleavage, which is what gives it the all natural look, while also acting as a bra, as the inside of both these sides, have cups in my size." She said, putting her hands to the flaps of the vest looking part. "If I were to take my top off right now, the strip of cloth in the center would turn white."
"At least you're smart about it." Weiss said. "But how are you gonna keep from burning it away if you use your magic?"
"That's easy actually." Ruby began to explain. "Any clothing Yang and I wear, becomes coated in a layer of our magic energy that we subconsciously give off, thus making our clothes resistant to our elements."
"How'd you even afford those earrings Yang? They look rather pricey." Blake said.
"It wasn't that expensive. I'm not ashamed to admit, I am the Queen of Bargain Hunting, at any retail clothing and jewelry store." Yang said. "While Ruby is the Prime Minister."
"It's true." Ruby said. "While I am skilled at finding a good bargain at any retail store, I tend to rely on Yang for putting together good outfits, since I'm not all that fashionable."
"You're braver then I, for freely admitting to that." Weiss said. "Both of you."
"Raion, where are you? We're about to begin." Yang called to the mens dressing room.
"I'm not entirely comfortable with what I'm wearing Yang." Raion said. "I know I told you to choose my outfit for the photo shoot for me, but did you have to choose this?"
"Hey, no complaining." Yang said with a smile. "Now come on out, and show us what you got."
The others could hear Raion sigh, before they heard his footsteps, and stepped out of the dressing room, surprising the girls of Team RWBY with the way he looked from the outfit Yang found for him.
"How do I look?" Raion asked, hands in his pockets.
Raion stood there in front the girls, with his hair being in a swept back style, while his outfits consisted of black body armor, consisting of a black tight sleeveless shirt with silver accents that outline his muscles and a metal plate on his collar, and the Fairy Tail crest in silver on his back between his shoulder blades, along with black pants that have two black straps on his right thigh, and another two strapped around his shins separate from each other. For footwear, they saw he was wearing black metal plated shoes, which looked to be attached to his pants, and had a separate red open waist cloak, which ended above his shins with the top fashioned and tied with an agemaki knot, covered by a silver metal plate that had his family crest carved into the metal, while he wore his signature gloves, with a red hooded article of clothing hung over his right forearm.
"Well?" Raion asked, expecting an answer from them.
"I gotta go for a second, makeup's running." Yang said, grabbing her nose before rushing to the ladies change room.
"Did Yang just…"
"Cover up a nosebleed? Yep." Weiss said, answering Blakes unfinished question.
"Alright, are we all ready to get this photo shoot started?" Jason asked. "Hold on, where's Ms. Xiao Long?"
"Yang had to powder her nose real quick." Ruby said. "She'll be right back."
"That's fine, we'll be starting with the individual photos anyways. Basically, we'll be taking the photo's in the reverse order of their debut in the magazine, as the group centerfold, is the first photo that our readers will see. So big guy, you're up, then it'll be Team RWBY's time to shine." Jason explained. "I love the outfits by the way, makes me feel you're powerful, but playful, while casual at the same time. Big guy, we're gonna want a few photos of you with that jacket, and you throwing it on."
"Got it." Raion said, stepping in front of the green screen.
"Guess Yang was smart to pick these outfits for us." Blake said.
"My sister, is scary good at fashion." Ruby said.
"Oh, you and Yang are sisters? Well that's perfect." Jason smiled. "Once we get to the duo shots, we'll do you sisters first."
"Don't say it like that, it sounds… lewd." Weiss groaned.
"Sorry, what I mean is we'll take your doubles pictures together first." Jason said.
"Good to know." Ruby smiled. "But what's with the green screen? We're not shooting outside?"
"Not this time. We had to kinda set up in a hurry, since we got Raion to sign on at the very last minute, so we'll be putting in the backgrounds, via the green screen, once the photo's are sent to editing." Jason explained. "Depending on how all things go, Raion may be showing his face on the cover of the magazine more often."
"Not gonna happen." Raion said, as the photographer was taking hundreds of photos with his camera, while the hybrid took multiple poses.
"Uh, girls is it just me, or am I seeing things?" Ruby asked.
"What do you mean?" Blake inquired.
"Where's his tail?" Ruby pointed out.
"It's under the waist cloak." Raion said. "The outfit didn't have an opening for my tail, where it would normally go, so I have to hide it under the cloak."
"That's no good." Jason said. "Stop the photography for a second."
Raion looked to Jason, before the reporter looked at the waist cloak thoroughly.
"Is this a rental, or did you buy it?" Jason asked.
"It's a clearance sale purchase." Raion said. "Yang bought it for me."
"Good, then I'm gonna have you visit Rouge in wardrobe and have her put in a hole for your tail. I don't feel right forcing you to hide who you are as a Faunus, so we want the tail within the shot." Jason explained, Blake's eyes widening at hearing how Jason was being compassionate. "The previous photos will be erased, while you're busy taking care of the wardrobe edit, and we'll handle Team RWBY's photos in the meantime. Once theirs are done, we'll retake yours."
"Got it." Raion said, heading for where wardrobe was, his jacket hanging over his shoulder as he walked off.
"I… gotta go." Blake said, leaving as she quickly turned around and covered her nose as well.
"Really?" Weiss asked. "I'm not one to judge, but he's technically a Faunus."
"Weiss, don't be a bigot." Ruby stated, as Yang came back.
"Hey girls, what'd I miss?" Yang asked.
"Just Raion's need for an edit to his wardrobe." Weiss said.
"Where'd Blake go?" Yang inquired.
"Ladies room." Ruby said.
"For the same reason you left." Weiss added.
"Okay." Yang said with a bit of a blush, knowing Weiss was fully aware of the real reason why she left for the ladies room.
"Okay, Team RWBY. Your photos will be taken first." Jason said. "So going in order of the team name, Ruby you're up."
"Aw yeah, my time to shine." Ruby smiled.
~Lunch Break~
"I can't believe I didn't think about functionality for his tail." Yang groaned, eating a burger. "It was so obvious, why didn't I see it?"
"It's not your fault Yang." Blake said, eating a tuna fish salad. "It was an honest mistake."
"Yeah, I mean we're all used to seeing him without his tail." Weiss said eating a wrap.
"I'm still amazed that it grew back." Ruby said, eating some Oreos.
"You four do know I'm sitting right here." Raion said, eating what looked to be his fifth bowl of Katsudon, while sitting across from them. "Why are you talking as if I'm not even in the room?"
"Sorry." Yang said. "But seriously, I am sorry I didn't think about your tail."
"It's fine, don't even worry about it." Raion said. "I'm so used to it being gone, I forget it's there sometimes."
"So, what's going on with the equipment again?" Weiss asked.
"Apparently there's an issue with some of the cameras, and since it's being delayed, the rest of the photo shoot, is being postponed until the issue is fixed." Raion said. "Jason said it should be ready to go by tomorrow or the day after."
"What caused the issue?" Ruby asked.
"Someone spilt their coffee all over the important equipment, so now it's in need of some hardware repairs, while the photos they took of us, are all gone." Raion stated. "So, we've got the rest of the day to ourselves while in the Capital of Crocus. What do you wanna do?"
"Let's go window shopping." Blake said. "I heard some of the stores here are great, but they're super expensive."
"Not as expensive as you might think." Raion said. "If you know the right people, you can get anything for just about any price."
"Sounds great, let's get going then." Yang smiled.
"Hey guys, sorry about the delays." Jason said, coming to them. "I do appreciate your patience."
"It's no trouble at all Jason." Raion said, before five envelopes were put on the table. "What's this?"
"Your pay for the work you already did. The photo's might have been erased due to someones incompetence, but it wouldn't be fair for me to not pay you for the work done. You'll get paid when we start the shoot back up as well. I'm just making sure you're being fairly compensated for your time. Each of you should have received four hours worth of pay, in cash."
"That's generous of you." Raion said.
"Holy Deities." Ruby said. "My envelope has $800.00 inside."
"Same with mine." Weiss said.
"Mine as well." Blake added.
"Ditto." Yang stated.
"$800.00?" Raion asked, looking into his envelope. "I thought it was only $175.00 an hour?"
"Your pay was raised to $200.00 an hour, as compensation for being backed into a corner to sign the contract." Jason said.
"Well, that's greatly appreciated." Raion said. "Well girls, you ready to head out and do some shopping?"
"Hell yeah." Yang smiled.
"I'm not carrying all the bags though." Raion said.
"Oh come on, that's what muscle like you is good for." Yang said, as Team RWBY left with Raion.
"Need I remind you, that I'm your Guild Instructor Superior?" Raion asked.
As they left, Jason got an idea. The photo shoot might have been a bust for the day, but there wasn't anything that would prohibit him from continuing it outside the studio, with some colleagues.
~Crocus~
"Oh wow, the city of Crocus is so beautiful." Weiss said. "I've always wanted to come here, ever since I was little."
The five of them were still dressed in their outfits for the photo shoot, while Raion pulled a Gravity Dust powered cart behind him, already filled with several bags, most of which were Weiss's.
"An' they're setting up for this years Harvest Festival. It's not happening for a while yet, but the Capital always loves making a big spectacle of it." Raion said, looking to the harbor they were not that far from. "They utilize the mountain lakes to their advantage in transporting goods for the Festival. An' honestly, the lakes themselves are almost big enough to be classified as oceans, you can barely see the other side."
"I don't think I've ever seen you smile this much before Weiss. It's kinda creeping me out." Ruby said.
"How can you not smile? It's all in preparation for the Harvest Festival. Oh the amount of paperwork and planning is simply breathtaking." Weiss said.
"Only you, could take something fun and turn it dull as dirt Ice Queen." Yang said.
"Quiet you." Weiss said, before noticing Raions attention was drawn to a Dust and Lacrima shop, covered in police tape.
"Excuse me, but what happened here?" Raion asked. "I'm a member of Fairy Tail, and I'd like to help if I can."
"Eh, another Dust and Lacrima store got robbed." The detective said, writing notes down. "Strange part is, they didn't take any cash, only the Dust and Lacrima, and this is the third shop this week."
"First Vale, now the Capital of Crocus." Raion said. "That can't be a coincidence."
"If you ask me, it's that White Fang Guild up to their old tricks." The detective stated. "How they haven't been named a Dark Guild yet, is beyond me. Now beat it, we don't need Fairy Tails help with this."
"Sorry for trying to help." Raion sighed, as he and his team left.
"Hm, the White Fang again." Weiss said. "Talk about an awful bunch of no good degenerates."
"What's your problem?" Raion asked.
"Nothing, except for the fact that I agree with that officer. The White Fang should be declared a Dark Guild. They're nothing but a bunch of no good thieves and killers." Weiss stated.
"That's not true, they're just misguided Faunus." Blake said.
"Who are trying to wipe humanity off the face of the planet Blake." Weiss stated.
"Not all of them." Blake defended.
"Blake's right Weiss." Raion said. "The Faunus of the White Fang, are only acting this way because of people like your father, who treat them as less then human. I agreed with the White Fangs goals before they became a Guild of Violence, when their second and current Master, Sienna Khan, took over."
"Still that doesn't explain why they would rob a shop of its Dust and Lacrima." Blake added.
"Blake and Raion both make an excellent point." Ruby stated. "Plus, the Huntsmen and Police forces of Vale never caught the guy I ran into before I met Professor Ozpin."
"Roman Torchwhick right?" Raion asked. "I read the report. It's highly possible, he left Vale and made Crocus his new base of operations."
"It still doesn't change my facts about the Faunus." Weiss said.
"Hey, someone stop that Faunus."
The others looked to the harbor, where several ship workers were running after a tan skinned boy with short spiky light-blonde hair. He wore two red wrist bracers over black fingerless gloves and an open sleeveless white hoodie with gold stripes going across the chest, and no shirt underneath, displaying his muscular physique. He also wore loose fitting blue cargo jeans tied up with a white belt, with black bandages on his legs, and a black chain hanging from the belt loop on the right side of his pants.
He sported black and yellow sneakers, with a twisted black and yellow golden necklace around his neck, with a round pendant hanging from it, though with the distance he was at, they couldn't see the emblem engraved on the pendant. As a result of his Faunus lineage, they saw he had a long prehensile monkey tail with the same color as his hair, similar to Raions.
"You no good stowaway, get him." One of the ship workers called out, as he rushed the Faunus.
The Faunus just jumped off the ground, and onto the ship workers back, using it like a spring board to get higher, as he knocked the man to the ground, and hung himself upside down by his tail.
"A no good stowaway would have been caught, I think that makes me a great stowaway."
"What a weirdo." Yang said, as the five of them watched the Faunus escaping the scene.
"That's Sun Wukong for you." Raion chuckled.
"You know him?" Weiss asked.
"He's a second year from Shade Academy. He's the leader of his team, and he's also quite the mischief maker. But he does it all in good fun, and doesn't really do any harm when he pulls his pranks." Raion said.
"Let me guess, he and his team joined the White Fang Guild?" Weiss asked with a huff. "Typical Faunus Team."
"Actually, Sun's the only Faunus on his team. An' everyone on that team, despises the White Fang with a passion, saying they've been giving Faunus everywhere a bad rap, since Sienna Khan became Guild Master five years ago." Raion said. "He and his team joined up with the Blue Pegasus Guild when they decided which Guild they should join, it was a unanimous decision. Currently, Team SSSN is gonna be participating in a bit of an exchange event with Fairy Tail. So we're gonna be seeing a lot of him lately."
"How strong is he?" Yang inquired.
"An' how do you know him exactly?" Weiss asked.
"I met him during my hunt for Erigor the Reaper." Raion said. "He joined me on the hunt, all the way up until the trip to Vale. He hates flying which is why he prefers traveling by boat instead. As for how strong he is, just like how I'm Fairy Tail's newest S-Class Mage, he's currently Blue Pegasus's newest S-Class Mage. He uses Full Body Takeover, which actually pairs well with his Semblance, Via Sun. It's not all that different from your Semblance Blake, only his clones last much longer and don't vanish after one strike."
"That's actually impressive." Blake said, as they followed Suns movements, leading him up to them.
"Hey Raion." Sun quickly said.
Time seemed to slow down as he passed by Blake, giving her a smile, and a wink, showing his eyes were blue, and the pendant around his neck had a monkey emblem engraved into it.
"Hold it right there." One of the ship workers called out chasing after Sun.
"We have to go after him, or he's gonna commit more crimes, let's go." Weiss said, giving chase to Sun.
"Ice Queen, did you even hear a word I said?" Raion asked, chasing after her with the rest of Team RWBY following suit.
"Doesn't change the fact that he's a degenerate who just broke the law." Weiss stated.
"His pranks literally, don't harm anyone." Raion groaned. "When we get back to Fairy Tail, I'm notifying Master Makarov to have a talk with you about your racist and biased habits."
"Doesn't change the fact that I'm right about him." Weiss said, not noticing how her words were annoying Blake.
Rounding a sharp corner, Raion skid to a halt, while Weiss rammed into someone, knocking them to the ground.
"Are you okay?" Ruby asked.
"Yes I'm fine thank you. But he got away." Weiss said, before looking to who she ran into.
"What about you, you okay?" Yang inquired.
"Yes." The ginger haired girl smiled. "I am, wonderful. Thank you for asking." She stated, pushing herself up with her hands, arching through the air a bit as she landed on her feet. "My name is Penny, salutations."
Penny's hair was long, reaching down to her shoulder blades, and curled inwards at the tips, with a black fabric bow under a pink metal bow that had a golden outlined green power symbol, and a prominent ahoge atop her head. She wore an olive green sleeveless jumpsuit with a black hem that was striped with emerald green. There was a diamond shaped hole over the abdominal region of her jumpsuit, showing her belly button, outlined in black. She also wore a pair of dark green pants, with two belts hanging down one side of her hips, and vertical black lines going down the front centers of her legs.
She wore a black short sleeved hooded jacket, with the sleeves barely reaching her elbows, finished with a black ribbon replacing the strings for tightening her hood, she did a quick turn around to show she had another power button on the silver backpack in center of her back between her shoulder blades. Over her pant legs, Penny wore black metal shinguards, that ran up to her thighs, just above the knees, with a design of a large green circle at the top and a small one at the bottom, both outlined with gold, finished off with a pair of black low heeled metal ankle boots with the tops hidden by the lower part of her shin guards. In addition she also wore a pair of black lacy cuffed gloves that went partially up her forearms, with golden stud detailing on the knuckles.
"It's very nice to meet you, brand new friend." Ruby said.
"We need to find that Faunus." Weiss stated.
"Leave it alone Weiss." Raion huffed. "He's not causing any harm, so just let it be. Or do you wanna be known around the Guildhall as Jacques Jr.?"
"What did you call me?" Penny asked.
"Oh, sorry we weren't talking about you with either of those." Raion said.
"Oh I know. I meant you." Penny said, looking to Ruby as she stepped up to her. "Did you just call me your friend?"
"Uh…" Ruby looked at Penny, before affirming what she said.
"A friend." Penny cheered. "I actually made a friend in the city. I cannot believe my luck."
"What is going on with her?" Weiss asked.
"It's likely she was just nervous about making friends in a new place, and is just overjoyed at how easy it started out." Raion said. "But the name Penny… Excuse me, you wouldn't happen to be Penny Polendina would you?"
"Yes I am." Penny smiled with a salute. "I am combat ready."
"I knew it." Raion sighed. "Are you headed for the train station?"
"That I am. I'm on my way to Magnolia to join up with the Guild there as part of the exchange event." Penny said. "I am coming from the Mermaid Heel Guild."
"So… you're going to Fairy Tail?" Blake asked.
"That I am."
"Good luck, and safe travels." Yang said. "We'll see you there, when we're done here in the Capital."
"So, what exactly are we giving the other Guilds for their members?" Weiss asked.
"We're giving them some reprieve from their most troublesome members." Raion said. "Master Bob doesn't mind having Team SSSN around, but Sun's pranks are getting a bit too frequent for his tastes, and he just needs a break from them for a while."
"An' Penny?" Ruby asked.
"She keeps breaking stuff, so Mermaid Heel's debating on actually transferring her to Fairy Tail for good." Raion stated.
"Anyone else we should know about coming to the Guild?" Blake asked.
"That's all I know about for now. Though I did hear some talk about Team JNPR coming along with Team SSSN, since they're both part of the same guild, and they're each assigned to a member of Team SSSN, as their Guild Instructors." Raion explained.
"So, normally we'd each have an instructor if you had your own four person team?" Yang asked.
"Pretty much." Raion stated. "Though the fact that you only got me, speaks volumes about how strong I am."
"It'll be good to see Jaune and the others again." Ruby smiled.
"Back to the matter at hand, we need to find that Faunus. I refuse to be in the same guild as some degenerate criminal." Weiss stated.
"Let's just give it up already Ice Queen, he's just some stow away." Yang said.
"He's a monkey tailed scoundrel. If he gets away, he's just gonna leave Blue Pegasus and join the White Fang. I'm certain of it." Weiss said.
"Weiss, you're such an ignorant brat!" Blake stated, shocking Yang and Ruby.
"What did you just say to me?" Weiss questioned, looking as if Blake just insulted her family.
"I said that you're being ignorant." Blake said. "Sun isn't bad, just because he's a Faunus. An' if you really think that, you're worse then I thought."
"I cannot believe, you're actually defending an evil group of terrorists." Weiss said.
"There's no such thing as pure evil!" Blake stated. "They don't like humans, because of people like you."
"People like me?" Weiss questioned.
"You're a discriminate racist." Blake stated.
"I'm a victim Blake." Weiss stated. "For as long as I can remember, the White Fang, has been at war with the Schnee family. I have watched my family friends disappear, I've seen board members executed. Do you know how difficult it made my childhood?"
"Okay that's ENOUGH!" Raion said, his voice echoing with anger. "Weiss, get the fuck over yourself."
"Excuse you?" Weiss questioned.
"I get it okay, none of us really know what happened in your childhood." Raion stated. "But your life, held up in a castle of comfort and wealth, is a cake walk compared to the hardships that Faunus face every single day of their lives, because of what people like your father put them through. Do you wanna know, who owned the slave traders I was sold to? Jacques Schnee, that's who!"
"Raion." Yang began hesitantly.
"I saw him with my own eyes, appraising me for what I might be worth. An' you know what he did?" Raion questioned, before reaching up to his forehead, an' peeling something off, revealing what was hidden underneath, causing the girls to gasp when they saw the large burn scar branded over his right eye. "He bought me, and branded me, stating I no longer had any rights, that I was his property, his item that belonged to him! When I got free, I covered up the branding, with a deeper scar."
"Raion, your eye." Ruby gasped.
"I have shown, great restraint when being around you Weiss. I have done so, because I know you're not your father!" Raion stated, pulling the paper thin mask back on, covering up his scar. "But do you know, how hard it is for me to be around you, and not take your life right now as a form of payback to Jacques? Every time I'm near you, I am fighting an internal conflict that tears away at my soul, because you're not Jacques, and taking my anger out on you, wouldn't be right."
"That can't be true." Weiss said, her eyes wide with shock. "That can't be true. My father would never do anything like that, I'm the victim here, not… not the Faunus. They're the ones who traumatized my childhood, they're the ones who made my life a nightmare."
"Well maybe, we were just tired of being pushed around!" Blake said, shocking everyone but Raion with what she said.
It was a moment later, that Blake realized what she said. Without any warning, Blake ran off, taking to the alleys, before vanishing from sight.
"Blake wait, where are you going?" Ruby called out. "Raion, do something."
"Ruby, leave him be." Yang said.
"But Yang, Raion's…"
"You know, I need some time alone. I need to be by myself." Raion said, his words interrupting Ruby's argument with Yang, before the around around him began to vibrate, and he took off flying through the air, creating a sonic boom as he turned to leave.
"Oh no." Ruby groaned. "Our team's falling apart, and we just got Raion back."
Off in the distance somewhere, Blake stopped running, and was just sitting on the roof of a building, looking out to the sunny sky, as the clouds rolled over. She'd finally managed to do some good in her life, and even joined the strongest Guild in Fiore, Earthland even. But now she felt like she blew it, and was never gonna be able to go back. In her hand, Blake had the bow she wore on her head, revealing the cat ears that had been hidden underneath.
"Yep, thought so."
Blake turned to look over her shoulder, and saw Sun standing there, a hand on his hip, as he stood there confidently, with an air of strength and courage around him.
"I knew you'd look better without the bow." Sun smiled brightly.
