Huntresses of Fairy Tail
"Did you find Blake?" Ruby asked, meeting back up with Yang and Weiss.
"No luck. I couldn't find her anywhere." Yang said. "I called the Guild, and notified Master Makarov of the situation."
"If she wants to go, let her." Weiss stated.
"She's our teammate." Yang said.
"You heard her, she's one of them. She was probably infiltrating Beacon and Fairy Tail as part of an undercover mission for the White Fang." Weiss said.
"You don't know that Weiss. We need to find her." Yang said.
"I can… check around the warehouses." Ruby stated.
"What?" Yang questioned, as Ruby ran off, before turning back to her other teammate. "If you hate Blake, for being a Faunus, then you're exactly what she said you were Weiss."
"Maybe, I did go too far but I… It's the White Fang." Weiss stated.
"That's enough okay? Drop it. Stop using the White Fang as a crutch and take responsibility for your own blatant racism." Yang stated.
~Blake~
"Hold up, you were, actually a member of the White Fang?" Sun questioned, after choking on his steak a bit.
"I was." Blake said. "For a good part of my life."
After Blake met Sun properly, she joined him for lunch at a café, where she ordered some tea, and Sun ordered a full on steak meal with sauce and fries.
"But those guys are stupid creeps who just, take what they want." Sun said. "You don't seem like that kind of a person."
"The White Fang was meant to be a Guild that was a Symbol of Peace between the humans and Faunus. But things started changing, and that's when I left." Blake stated. "I didn't wanna aid in their violence, so I dedicated my life to becoming a Huntress, and even managed to join Fairy Tail."
"Have you, told your friends any of this?" Sun questioned.
"No, but I suspect Raion already knew, given his lack of reaction, when I blurted out what I did." Blake said. "I wouldn't be surprised if the White Fang, was his first choice for a guild, before things started turning bad."
"Yeah, he does seem like that strong kind of guy." Sun said. "So, what are you gonna do now?"
"Well first I wanna know who's behind these robberies. The White Fang has never needed that much Dust and Lacrima before." Blake said. "Stealing Dust and Lacrima is their MO, but not on this grand a scale."
"I just remembered, some guys on the ship were talking about it." Sun stated. "There's a Schnee Company freighter, that's gonna bring in a huge shipment of Dust and Lacrima."
"You're sure?" Blake asked.
"It's to restock all the shops that were hit with the robberies." Sun confirmed. "Delivering new Dust and Lacrima right to the White Fang."
It was at this point, Blake got up, and began heading for the door.
~Ruby~
The sun was still high in the air, as Ruby was sitting on the steps to a bronze statue of the Crocus Kingdoms founder, looking out at the busy streets, while pondering what she was going to do.
"Oh, where could she be?" Ruby questioned.
"You mean the Faunus girl, right?" Penny asked, suddenly sitting next to Ruby.
"Gah, Penny where'd you come from?" Ruby gasped, moving away in shock, as Penny turned her head to look at her. "How, did you know about that?"
"I saw her cat ears." Penny said.
"Ears, not a bow?"
"I saw her without it."
"But where?" Ruby asked.
"Shouldn't Raion be the one taking charge of the search?" Penny asked.
"There was a huge argument amongst my friends, and Raion needed some space." Ruby said. "Trouble is, I have no idea where he went."
~Yang & Weiss~
"You don't care at all, what happened to Blake do you?" Yang questioned, walking through the alleyway with Weiss ahead of her her. "I bet you're only pretending to be nice to Ruby too." She stated, before she stopped as Weiss stopped in her tracks. "Hey, why aren't you saying anything?"
"Because I don't know what to say, alright?" Weiss questioned, getting in Yangs face. "I wasn't made leader, I wasn't put on Pyrrha's team." She stated, before clasping her hands together as if praying. "One of my teammates is a Faunus! Nothing is turning out how I imagined it, not how I imagined it at all."
Yang just looked at Weiss, a cold and distant look in her eyes as the Heiress was crying over her own misfortunes, giving Yang plenty of reason, within her own justifications, to do to Weiss what came next.
"Purgatory Dragon: Devil's Hammer!" Yang cried out, hitting Weiss in the face, that sent the Heiress flying out of the alley, causing a scene amongst the people, as she rolled into a light post. "You honestly believe, you're still the victim in all this?" She questioned, marching to Weiss while rotating her shoulder. "You're the reason why Blake ran off, you're the reason why Raion's in emotional distress right now, and you think you're still the victim?"
"How dare you." Weiss said, getting to her feet, while holding her bruised and burnt cheek. "What is with you Yang? What's your deal?" She questioned, before Yang hit her with another punch to the face from the other side, sending her to the ground again.
"You're what's wrong Weiss!" Yang said, practically shouting that statement. "You're always acting so high and mighty, you're always trying to make yourself out to be the victim, when really you're the bully."
"How am I the bully?"
"You're racist, you're a blatant spoiled brat, you're constantly trying to sabotage our stay at Fairy Tail because you wanna be Team Leader and go to Phantom Lord, and you're so pig headed I'm surprised you're not an actual Pig Faunus!" Yang stated angrily. "You act as though everything should go your way. Guess what, I've said this before, and I'll say it again. This, isn't your home in Atlas! This is the real world Weiss! You're not always gonna get everything to go your way. The real world is a mean and nasty place, that doesn't give a shit about your feelings."
"Yang, what are you…" Weiss stopped as Yang continued shouting at her.
"You grew up pampered in the lap of luxury, while the rest of us had to struggle with our hardships." The blonde exclaimed, tears streaming down her face, her body trembling with emotion. "You don't know how hard it was, for me to live without Raion in my life. An' to learn your father was part of the reason why, it just makes it that much harder to keep my emotions in check. Raion was like family, and to find out Jacques Schnee had enslaved him, after his own father sold him off to slave traders, makes me wish all the more that I could have been there, to protect him. So stop playing the victim card, and actually take responsibility for once in your Goddamn pampered life."
With her piece said, Yang moved past Weiss, leaving her to think over the words that had just been spoken to her, before she realized the crowd Yang drew in, were looking at her in disgust. Her cheeks flushed red, as she tried to rationalize that this was all Yangs fault, but stopped when she remembered what Yang did when she tried pinning the blame on others, and realized she had to take responsibility for her part in this as well.
"Am I really, such a spoiled brat, that I actually invoke this kind of rage in people?" Weiss pondered. "An' did my father, really do such horrid things, to Raion?"
~Raion~
Raion sat silently, his head hung between his arms, as they rested on his knees. After his little outburst at Weiss, and revealing how he really felt when she was around him, made the teen feel like such an idiot. He needed some time alone, and figured the only way to get some privacy, was to go to his new thinking place.
"Master." The AI that looked like his mother, said as she appeared in front of him in the dark room of the Galuna Island Temple. "Why are you sitting here in the dark?"
"Because I need some privacy." Raion said.
"I see." The AI said. "I can project several arousing scenarios for you via my connection to the CCT if you wish. I can also create a synthetic doll, to help you with your carnal desires. I can even make it look exactly like one of your female friends from before. Perhaps the blonde who fought Deliora, or…"
"Not, THAT, kind of privacy." Raion stated bluntly, his face shooting up with a blush on it. "I just needed to get away from anywhere that was crowded. I needed some peace and quiet to process some thoughts."
"I see." The AI said, before vanishing and reappearing, sitting next to him. "What is on your mind?"
"I just told off one of my kōhai." Raion stated. "I released all my pent up anger at her, through verbal assault, and now I just feel like shit because she didn't deserve it."
"Which one of your kōhai did you unleash this anger towards?" The AI asked.
"Weiss." Raion said. "I hate being around her, but I'm Fairy Tail's newest S-Class Mage. An' I'm Team RWBY's Guild Instructor. So I have to set an example for them, and I blew it."
"Hmm… I believe there's a message from your mother in my archives, that may be able to help with this situation." The AI said, before it started projecting a video, with Kara's face on the screen.
"Hello my sweet baby boy." Kara said. "If you're watching this, then it means you're in need of some motherly wisdom, regarding your emotions."
"Mom really thought of everything huh?" Raion chuckled.
"First up, the obvious emotion of anger towards another." Kara said. "I'm not exactly one to talk right now, with my pregnancy mood swings, but you have to be careful. Your powers are dangerous. In the right hands, they can be used for saving the world, and creating a legacy you can be proud of. But if misused, your powers, can turn you into a force of nature to be feared, far worse then the Black Huntsman Zeref, or the Dragon of the Apocalypse Acnologia. In my attempts at trying to return to my world, I encountered many things, and many heroes in many worlds, who I feel you may one day, be counted among the ranks of."
"Heroes?" Raion asked. "How can I be a hero, when I let my emotions control me?"
As if to answer his question, the video seemed to speed up, before resuming normal speed, the AI placing the feed at the desired spot in the length of the video.
"It may seem like your emotions are controlling you at the moment, but that's not the case. You are in control of your emotions, and no one can tell you otherwise." Kara said. "But when it comes to your anger, you have to be careful. I don't know, if you listened to my explanation about who your father is, but in case you didn't, you need to be careful with your emotions, and take especially good care to keep your anger in check. I won't say much as to why, as you'll need to access File: XP9001, but just know that if your anger is ever released at its full force, you may very well die. So to help you with learning to control your anger, let me show you, some of the heroes I've befriended. You may find yourself, learning more from them, then you may think."
~Blake~
The hour was late, as Blake was lying low on a freighter crate, keeping a keen eye out for any signs of the White Fang, or those actually responsible for this madness, in the Crocus Capital. The silence continued as Sun returned, with some green apples in his arms.
"Did I miss anything?" He questioned.
"Not really. They've offloaded all the crates from the boat. Now they're just sitting there." Blake stated.
"Cool." Sun said, before holding out an apple to her. "I stole you some food."
"Do you always break the law without a second thought?"
"Hey weren't you in a cult, or something?" Sun asked, to which Blake gave him an annoyed, and angered glare. "Okay, too soon." He said.
The awkward silence between the two continued on, before the sound of turbine engines roaring above them passed overhead, with a gale of wind following, nearly knocking them both off the crate they were hiding on, as an airship dropped down from the skies, close to the Schnee Freighters. After landing on the docks, the door to the airship opened, and pouring out came several members of the White Fang.
"Oh no." Blake said.
"Is that them?" Sun asked.
"Yes. It's them." Blake said.
"You really didn't think they were behind it, did you?" Sun asked.
"No, I think deep down I knew. I just didn't want to be right." Blake said.
"Hey. What's the hold up?" A voice echoed from the airship.
Blake looked up, and got up on one knee, leaning forward a bit as she wasn't expecting the voice of a well known human, leader of a criminal underworld organization, to show up in a White Fang operation.
"We're not exactly the most inconspicuous bunch of thieves at the moment, so why don't you animals try to pick up the pace?" Roman Torchwhick asked, coming out of the airship.
"This isn't right. The White Fang would never work with a human. Especially not one like that." Blake exclaimed jumping to her feet and unsheathing Gambol Shroud. "It's one thing for Raion to be right about him moving his criminal operations from Vale to Fiore, but it's another entirely for the White Fang, to actually work with him."
"Hey what are you doing?" Sun questioned. "Do you realize, this is the kind of thing that can get a Huntsmen or Huntress killed in battle? You don't know their magics, or their…"
Without allowing for Sun to finish his explanation, Blake hopped down from the freighter, and went sneaking around through the shadows, towards where Roman Torchwhick was, looking around the corner of a crate and spotting him, as he was facing a canine Faunus, with a rather nasty looking scar, partially visible from under the mask they wore.
"No you idiot. This isn't a leash. I'm not taking you for a walk." Roman stated, before Blake came up from behind him, grabbing him in her arm, with Gambol Shroud's blade close to his throat.
"Nobody move." Blake said.
"Whoa, take it easy there little lady." Roman said as the other White Fang grunts surrounding them, pulled out, or aimed their weapons at Blake.
With a careful and steady hand, Blake reached up, and removed the ribbon concealing her cat ears, showing that she was a Faunus as well.
"Brothers and sisters of the White Fang. Why are you aiding this scum?" Blake questioned. Blake's question got a lot of the grunts to question what they were doing with Roman Torchwhick.
"Heh, oh kid. Didn't you get the memo?" Roman asked.
"What are you talking about?" Blake asked.
"The White Fang and I are going on a joint business venture together." Roman stated.
"Tell me what it is, or I'll put an end to your littler operation." Blake threatened, pressing the blade closer to his throat, her eyes glowing with magic power, before the sound of more turbine engines echoed through the air, as two more airships came in for a landing, taking Blake by surprise.
"I wouldn't exactly call it a little operation." Roman said, before slamming his elbow into Blake's side, managing to escape while the Huntress in training was distracted.
Using his cane, in its weapon form, Roman fired explosive Burn Dust shots at Blake, trying to incapacitate the Faunus girl, by blowing her to smithereens. One of the Dust rounds was on a clear and unaltered path for Blake, threatening to pierce her right cat ear, which would take her entire head upon detonation.
Fortunately for the Faunus girl, a blur came zipping past her, creating a gust of wind that knocked her forward, before the explosive round detonated as it struck something, creating a large explosion.
"I don't know who that was, but they were a complete moron for just running headlong into an explosive round like that." Roman said with a laugh.
"Who are you calling a moron?" Raion's voice echoed from the smoke.
Romans laughter stopped, as he gasped, looking ahead at the smoke, the burning dust vanishing in the wind, revealing Raion standing there, face covering gone, wearing the final piece of his outfit for the photo shoot, which was a red hooded shroud, comprised of two separate sleeves connected by a metal plate, and a hood at the back which covered his arms and part of his chest, before it was cut off, showing his upper torso and midriff. With the addition of his family crest, added to the chest of his top, somewhat covered by the hooded shroud sleeves. His body flashed with his silver aura, with his fists clenched tight, igniting in black flames.
"The only moron I see, is the one who just tried killing my kōhai." Raion glared.
"But… that was a highly volatile explosive round." Roman said in shock. "At the very least, your aura should have been depleted leaving you helpless, if that shot hadn't killed you."
"Sorry to disappoint, but rounds like those don't really work on me." Raion stated brushing off his shoulder. "But I will admit, you did quite the number on my aura."
"You damned cheeky brat." Roman glared, before a banana peel landed on his head, forcing him to step back. Removing the peel, Roman tossed it away in disgust before looking to who threw it, and saw Sun sitting on a pile of fallen White Fang soldiers, eating what appeared to be another banana.
"I'd be careful who you're insulting there pal." Sun stated. "Raion's not one to mess around with, on a good day."
"Oh please, why don't you just fall in line, with the rest of the White Fang grunts under my command?" Roman questioned.
"Wait, you think I'm part of that self righteous Guild?" Sun questioned with a laugh. "No way man. I might be a Faunus, but even I despise the White Fang. In fact, since they turned violent, I've wished for their disbanding every year for my birthday. I'm not even kidding!"
"If you're not a high ranking member of the White Fang, how did you beat so many of them in one go?" Roman questioned.
"It's foolish, for those of a weaker guild, to challenge those of the S-Class rank." Sun smirked.
"You're S-Class?" Roman gasped.
"Not just me." Sun stated. "Raion, is S-Class as well. You might have heard of him though, he's Fairy Tails genuine and authentic God of War."
"Oh shit." Roman said, looking right to Raion, just before his face became one of shock and panic, as Raion was instantly in his face. "NEO!" He shouted out.
With only a split second before Raions punch was gonna land, Roman called on his trump card, resulting in the Fairy Tail Huntsman's punch being blocked by a frilly looking umbrella, resulting in Raion being knocked back, forcing the young man to dig his hands into the flooring of the docks, as he slid to a halt next to Blake.
"Raion, are you okay?" Blake asked, before noticing the right sleeve of Raions top was shredded, with what looked like multiple lacerations from a blade, covering the flesh of his limb. "Your arm."
"My arm will heal." Raion said, before he tore off the rest of the jacket. "But I can't exactly say the same about my jacket. An' Yang paid quite a pretty jewel for this outfit as well."
"How did the weapon break through your aura? I thought you were indestructible?" Blake said. "Did he have a hidden blade somewhere?"
"No, take a look up ahead." Raion said, directing Blake's attention to the young woman who was now next to Roman.
The young woman in question, stood at a rather short height, wearing a white blouse, under a brown harness, with brown denim jeans, and open toed heeled sandals. Her dual pink and brunet hair was tied in a thick braid half way down, while the rest just waved about freely behind her, as she placed the umbrella over her shoulders with a confident smile, in her heterochromatic eyes.
"Who's that?" Blake asked.
"If I had to assume, I'd say it's his partner." Raion stated. "An' judging by the level of her Aura and Magic, she's on the same ratio as Erza, in terms of magical prowess. Meaning she's got the strength of an S-Class Huntress."
"That's insane!" Blake said.
"It is." Raion said. "But without knowing her physical abilities, it's hard to tell if her physical prowess is on the same level or not. But I can make a pretty good educated guess." He stated, looking at the cuts on his arm. "Blake, Sun, think you two can handle Torchwhick? His power is far weaker then his partners, so it's safe to assume he relies on her being the muscle."
"You sure you'll be able to handle the pipsqueak?" Sun questioned, stepping up next to him. "You don't even have any weapons."
"I didn't…" Raion began as he used a specific type of magic, that was still foreign to him. "But I've had a bit of a crash course, in creating weapons out of magical energy."
"What are you doing?" Blake questioned, as Raions hands light up with red energy, lightning arching through the air, as the ground beneath them began chipping and defying gravity.
"Dude, you're starting to freak me out." Sun said.
"The magic from this dimension, doesn't rely on Ethernano, rather it relies on mana. In other words, it's magic that relies on ones soul to be used. It's not like Aura and Semblances, rather it's a technique that's difficult to learn, and few can actually achieve this type, of mage craft." The memory of Kara's words echoed in Raion's head. "An' one day, when you're ready, you'll learn the chant of the hero, who saved my life when I first made my way to that realm."
"Trace…" Raion said, as his aura flared up, and the red lightning began turning silver. "On!"
The light illuminating from his hands, shined brightly and began to take shape, taking on the form of dual falchions, with the one forming in his right hand, having a pearl white blade, and the one forming in his left, having an obsidian black black with a red hexagonal pattern on it. With the weapons formed, Raion flipped them over in his hands, before taking on a battle stance, with the blades pointing to the ground.
(Cue Music… Soul 4 sale: Simon Curtis)
"Let's do this." Raion said.
Crouching down, Raion broke the ground beneath his feet as he rushed Neo, forcing the girl to jump back, while leaving Roman to deal with Blake and Sun as they rushed the crime lord, intent on bringing him down. Neo didn't like wasting time, and she hated leaving Roman to his own devices when it came to defense. But she knew Raion was gonna be a problem, and pulled out the blade hidden in the body of her umbrella, while using the umbrella itself as a shield, switching between the two, to block then counter strike Raions attacks.
"What's the hold up?" Raion questioned, slamming his falchions down on Neo, with the blades cracking momentarily. "No witty remark, nothing to say about how you're superior to me?"
The young man continued swinging at Neo, before his blades shattered, resulting in the shards turning into magical energy, and returning to his body. Neo smirked as she saw this as an opportunity to strike, and thrust her blade forward. She knew it had harmed him once, which meant she could kill him with it.
The instant the blade was mere inches from Raions chest, the young man gripped his fists tightly, before he parried it away, with another set of falchions, and pinned it to the ground, before spinning on the point of the blade to swing a double spinning kick at Neo, forcing the girl back as she used her umbrella to block it.
The moment Neo stopped sliding back, she lowered her umbrella shield, and looked at Raion with complete shock, and confusion on her expression.
"Nope, you're not hallucinating." Raion said, standing up, the hilts of his blades held tight in his grasp. "My other blades did shatter, and no I'm not using Reequipping Magic either."
Neo only looked more confused, which confused Raion until he came to a realization.
"Oh, I get it now." Raion said. "You can't talk, can you? You're mute."
Neo took on a look that said, no duh, as she collapsed her umbrella, and held it like a sword, pointing it at Raions weapons with a questioning look on her face.
"Sorry, but I'm not about to reveal my hand to the enemy." Raion said, instantly rushing Neo, forcing her to open her umbrella again.
Unfortunately for her, Raion had planned on that, and leapt over the parasol, taking the mute girl by surprise as he landed behind her, and sliced through her defenses, leaving a nasty gash on her back.
Neo rolled forward away from Raion, and the instant she was on her feet, she reached out for her blade, but found it missing.
"Looking for this?" Raion asked.
Neo looked behind her to see Raion had the blade, piercing it into the ground, before taking on another fighting stance.
"I'm not usually one to give myself a handy cap, but your boss tried killing Blake, so I'm taking it a bit personal." Raion said, before rushing Neo once more. The mute girl didn't know what to do as Raion was instantly in her face, his arms folded over, and pushed back, ready to swing at her, before time seemed to slow down, as Raion said only one more thing to her. "Because when you mess with Fairy Tail, we show no mercy."
(End Song…)
In a flash of light, Raion was behind Neo, his blades outstretched as he had swung them forward. Breathing heavily, Raion dropped to his knees, as Neo's Aura shattered, resulting in her falling to the ground unconscious.
"Neo!" Roman called out.
Using his weapon, Roman created a smoke screen that gave him an opportunity to run to his beloved comrade, before he managed to pass Raion with little issue, even knocking him down. With the main obstacle out of the way, Roman grabbed Neo, taking her into his arms while grabbing her sword, before he used speed magic, and made his way into an airship that was above their heads, with another that had a crate of Dust and Lacrima.
"As fun as this night's been kiddies, it's time we left, with our party favors." Roman said.
Before Roman could leave, a green energy beam came out of nowhere, and sliced through the wing of one of the air ships. It was the airship, carrying the cargo crate. When Raions eyes landed on the falling cargo, his eyes widened in horror.
"That much Dust and Lacrima detonating… there's no way to tell how devastating the damage could be." He said, getting to his feet.
In a rush of adrenaline, Raion leapt from the ground, flying into the air, and catching the cargo crate in his hands, hoisting it over his head as she was forced down greatly. Using the remainder of his strength, Raion kept the cargo from crashing onto the ground, and put it down gently, while the airship crashed into an empty warehouse, causing a fire to erupt.
"Tch, that's just great." Roman hissed. "She's gonna be pissed, when she hears about this. They both are."
Without any energy left, Raion fell to the ground, somehow managing to keep himself sitting upright as he watched Romans airship fly away.
"Raion!"
The Hybrid looked ahead, to see who had called his name, right before Ruby came rushing at him, and knocked him on his back, while hugging him.
"Oh Raion, I'm so glad I found you." Ruby said. "I can't believe I almost lost you again."
"I'm fine Ruby, there's no need to worry about me. I'm not gonna leave you and Yang again." Raion said.
"You promise?" Ruby asked.
"I promise." Raion said.
"Salutations, friend of my friend Ruby." Penny said, stepping up to them.
"Penny, what are you doing here?" Raion asked.
"She sorta appeared out of nowhere when I was looking for Blake." Ruby said. "I knew I had to look for her, since looking for you, would have been impossible."
"At least you're smart about that." Raion said before he groaned. "Now, could you get off me? My arm needs healing, and my Aura's depleted."
~Later~
"An' that should do it for bandaging up your arm." Ruby said, tying off the last knot for Raions bandages.
"Not bad Ruby, you must have been top student in first aid at Signal." Raion said.
"It's nothing." Ruby smiled.
"No need to be so modest kid." Sun said. "That looks like some pro level work you did, I'm impressed."
"Ruby, Raion."
The duo whose names were called, as well as Penny, Blake, and Sun, turned to see Weiss and Yang standing there, both of them with expressions showing worry and relief.
"Well, if it isn't the Ice Queen herself." Raion said, before noticing her cheeks were swollen, and bandaged. "What happened to you?"
"Some minor bruising and burns, nothing my Aura can't take care of before tomorrow." Weiss stated.
"Weiss." Ruby said, jumping off the crate she was sitting on, and coming up next to her partner. "Blake isn't a member of the White Fang now, and she has cute cat ears under her bow, isn't that… okay." She paused, as Weiss just walked past her.
"What, really?" Yang asked, referring to Blakes cat ears.
Weiss just stepped up to Blake, expecting an answer from her, as she looked at the Faunus in hiding.
"She's right, I'm not involved with them." Blake said.
"Stop, I don't want an explanation." Weiss said. "You told us that you're not a part of them anymore. I've been thinking about it, a lot, and you know what? I don't care, I don't."
"You, don't care?" Blake asked skeptically.
"That's a shock." Raion said, genuinely surprised.
"Right, so next time, when you have a really big problem to solve, you should come to your team first, instead of someone else." Weiss said, looking at Sun.
Blake looked back to Sun, before looking to Ruby and Yang, feeling emotions welling up within her, that she'd never felt before, as she felt tears coming to her eyes.
"Okay." Blake said.
"Also, Raion." Weiss said, stepping up to him.
"What is it you want with me Ice Queen?" Raion asked.
Raion and Weiss just looked at one another, before Weiss bowed to him, taking the hybrid by surprise once again, as two words left her mouth."
"I'm sorry."
There was a moment of silence, before Raion's brain finally registered what Weiss had said.
"Beg pardon?" Raion asked.
"I'm sorry." Weiss repeated, still bowed to him. "I learned the hard way today, that my life might not have been easy, but it was far from the hell most people go through in their childhoods. It was unfair of me to just state I was the victim, and no one else. I can't undo what my father did, and I can't imagine how hard it is for you to have to put up with being around me, but I am grateful you've put up with me until now. I hope you can accept my apology."
Raion just looked at Weiss, before he sighed and gave a small smile.
"I said it before Ice Queen." Raion said. "You're not your father, so I don't hold what he did to me against you, or I try not to at least. But the fact that you swallowed your pride, and did what your father would never do, to a victim of his, who you didn't even cause direct harm to, speaks volumes about the type of Huntress you're going to be." He stated, putting a gentle chop on her head. "You'll surpass you father some day, as both a decent person, and the CEO of the Schnee Dust Company. You've already taken the first step, in achieving your goals."
"Well, isn't that a wonderful sight." Yang smiled. "A Schnee, befriending a couple of Faunus."
"Makes you wonder, just how much of an impact Raion will really have in our lives." Ruby smiled.
~The Following Day~
"Do we really gotta head back to the shooting location this early?" Ruby whined with a yawn.
"Jason stated, that it was important we get there as soon as possible." Blake said. "Though he sounded kinda hyped up on the call though."
"He did sound pretty excited." Raion added. "Maybe the equipment was fixed up better then new?"
"I doubt it." Weiss said. "It's more like he just got replacements for a good price."
"Either way, we get to show off our stuff." Yang smiled, as they entered the studio.
"Ah, you're here. So cool." Jason smiled, rushing up to them, while holding out envelopes to them, like he had yesterday. "Here, these are for you."
"Wait, you're already paying us?" Ruby asked.
"Why wouldn't I?" Jason smiled. "You did such amazing work yesterday, and we've got all the photos we needed for filling up an entirely separate magazine. I pitched the idea to my boss the other day, and he loves it, so I'm hoping we can count on the five of you, being regular models here at Sorcerer Weekly. The first issue of this new magazine, will be released at the same time as the monthly issue."
"What exactly, did you get for photos for this new magazine?" Raion asked, fearing the answer.
"You're just gonna have to wait and see." Jason smiled. "Now, each of you got an equivalent of 12 hours of work pay, plus a little bonus incentive to give you an idea on how eager we are for you to agree to coming back."
"He doesn't beat around the bush, does he?" Yang asked.
"Not really." Blake said.
"Holy crap, $3,000.00?" Ruby asked.
"I know, it's a bit more then what you were expecting, but please think about our offer to continue working here. We could even incorporate Mirajane into the magazine, since you're all from the same Guild. It's a Fairy Tail Exclusive Magazine."
"We'll have to get back to you on that." Raion said. "The five of us need some time to think about it."
"No worries. Now have yourselves a great day." Jason smiled.
As the five of them left, Raion realized something.
"Hold the phone." Raion said.
"What's wrong?" Blake asked.
"Jason didn't seem all that surprised, when I showed up with this scar over my face." Raion stated.
"You're probably over thinking it. He was most likely too excited about the potential contract to notice." Yang said.
"You're probably right." Raion sighed. "Still, I can't help but feel there's something off about this whole contract thing going on."
~2Weeks Later~
Raion yawned as he made his way through the doors of the Guildhall. Today was the day he and Team RWBY were gonna go take care of the Grimm infestation job, but he couldn't do that on an empty stomach, and his fridge at home was empty.
"Morning Mira." Raion said, taking a seat at the bar counter.
"Morning Raion." Mira smiled. "Breakfast?"
"My usual please." He nodded.
"Coming right up." Mira said. "While you're waiting, this is for you. It arrived just this morning."
Raion looked to the large yellow envelope Mira had put in front of him, realizing it was a copy of the magazines he and Team RWBY were a part of.
"This should be interesting." Raion said, opening the envelope, and pulling out both magazines. "It should explain why Jason just paid us the following day and…"
Mira was humming happily, as she was cooking up one of Raions favorite dishes. It was a recipe he'd helped her to master, when she was learning to cook herself, and she liked cooking it, because it reminded her of the fun she had learning to cook from him. Her reminiscing of the past, was halted as she felt an intense aura coming from where Raion was sitting. When she turned to face him, she saw he was looking at the new Magazine cover, in complete horror.
"What's wrong?" Mira asked, coming over with the platter of food she'd cooked for him.
Raion remained quiet, as he dropped the new magazine on top of the counter, giving Mira a view of the cover. The front page image of the magazine, showed Raion just as he was creating his falchions, before the fight with Neo began.
"Oh my, that's quite the surprising photo, how many takes did you do to get it done so well?" Mira asked, looking at the cover in awe.
"Once." Raion said. "Jason, or one of his subordinates, took that photo, while I was in the middle of my fight with Roman and Neo."
"That's… rather surprising actually." Mira stated, already reading through part of it. "If you're upset with the cover, I sincerely do not recommend you reading further then that."
"I, am gonna kill Jason." Raion growled, grinding his teeth, before his face turned into one of horror. "I cannot let any of the girls from RWBY see this travesty."
~A/N~
I've been, admittedly, obsessed with Fate UBW the last few days.
If you haven't caught on already, I did use Emiya Archers Heroic Spirit suit for Raions Photo Shoot outfit. An' I'm keeping it that way, as Emiya Archer is my favorite character, out of the entire Fate Franchise!
I'd like to think he's the Archer of this Crossover Universe!
