Huntresses of Fairy Tail
It was calm in the main hall as Raion was now leaning against the only remaining stone pillar that was left standing, his body battered and bruised, while breathing heavily as he looked at his arm, hissing in pain as it was broken, with his shattered blades at his sides, slowly dissipating into magic particle. His fight with Jacques was tougher then he'd thought, with that Kryptonite power source that ran the suit that allowed Jacques to analyze DNA and copy magic. The former S-Class Phantom Lord Huntsman, had no qualms with taking advantage of Raion's weakened and injured body, especially when the Kryptonite was causing his weakened state. After the beating, Jacques had left without ending the young mans life, a malevolent smirk on his face.
"Damn. Guess I should have retreated and came up with a sound strategy before facing off with him and his Kryptonite powered suit." Raion coughed.
"Raion!"
The injured young man looked up to who had called his name, before he saw Mira, Elfman, Erza, and Grey running through the main hall, Mira with the most worried look on her face.
"What are you guys doing here?" Raion asked.
"Nevermind that Raion, what happened to you, who did this?" Mira questioned as she knelt down beside him, examining any injuries he might have suffered.
"I'm fine, I just need a bit of a breather." Raion chuckled, before feeling a stinging pain in his ribs. "Damn it." He groaned looking at his side to see his top was torn, and there was a massive bruise visible where his ribs were located.
"That looks like a pretty bad bruise. Might be some internal bleeding." Grey exclaimed.
"Did you feel that rumbling earlier?" Erza asked.
"Whoa is that Aria of the Skies?" Elfman asked seeing the unconscious man in the green attire.
"Yeah. The rumbling must have been the giant falling apart when I knocked Aria out, using Jacques as a battering ram." Raion sighed.
"You deflected a shot from the Jupiter Cannon and still fought him?" Elfman asked in shock.
"What the hell were you thinking?" Grey inquired.
"I didn't deflect a shot from the Jupiter Cannon, I absorbed it. Wasn't aware I could do that through epidermal methods, but I guess I can. Besides, I was thinking that my Fairy Tail family needed me." Raion hissed before he began having a coughing fit.
"It's one thing to go protecting someone, but it's another to drive yourself to the brink of death." Mira stated rubbing Raion's back as he leaned forward, blood seeping through his fingers. Raion held his stomach as the coughing got worse and worse, with one hand over his mouth, before he removed it to reveal blood mixed with the mucus. "Oh Raion, this isn't good."
"Raion, where did that blood come from?" Grey asked seeing his hand, as the young man leaned back against the wall.
"You might have been right Grey, I guess I do have internal bleeding." Raion stated feeling his eyelids getting heavy.
"Raion, please stay with us." Mira pleaded trying to keep him awake.
"How could Jacques even cause this kind of damage to him?" Elfman questioned.
"His suit… has a Kryptonite… power source." Raion wheezed. "He exposed it… when we were fighting… On top of that… he can copy… any magic it analyzes from… DNA samples…"
"That's not good." Grey said.
"It's a pain in the ass, that's what it is." Erza tsked.
Raion's eyes continued to close, before they suddenly widened in fear when he felt the returning presence of something dark, and deadly. It was apparent on the others faces that he wasn't the only one feeling it to.
"What is this?" Mira asked.
"I don't like this." Grey stated.
"I'm super manly and it gives me chills." Elfman exclaimed.
"It feels, like death."
"It's Jacques." Raion said. "He's copied Jose's magic, and is using it for himself."
They all turned to the shadows covering the stairwells, as Jacques emerged from them, finding their reactions to his power, so amusing.
"Bravo. You're all quite keen, for a bunch of animal lovers." Jacques stated the dark aura surrounding him intensifying. "Very impressive Fairy Tail Huntsmen and Huntresses. I knew this would be fun. But never in my wildest dreams did I think it would be this entertaining. You annihilated the Jupiter Cannon, disposed of Phantoms Elite Element4, and you even managed to bring the magic giant to its knees. I knew leaving the battered and injured animal to his own devices after the thrashing I gave him, would pay off."
"Jacques." Raion growled.
"This creep?" Elfman questioned.
"He was once known as Phantom's strongest S-Class Huntsman?" Grey asked in disbelief.
"It's like there's a black cloud hanging over him. I feel sick just being near him." Mira exclaimed, covering her mouth in disgust.
"Thank you, you've been so kind to entertain me more then that animal already has; I simply must return the favor." Jacques smirked.
"You ready?" Grey asked, taking a fighting stance.
"You bet." Elfman stated, taking his own fighting stance.
"I'll return it in full, this time." Jose said before waving his hand.
"Ice Make: Saucer!" Grey exclaimed.
"Beast Arm:…"
"No, don't do it." Raion screamed out, but it was too late.
"Iron Bull…" Elfman shouted as he and Grey attacked Jacques.
"Explosive Wave!" Jacques shouted, sending several phantom shaped shadows to his two approaching foes.
The wave of the attack knocked Elfman, and Grey back, before stumbling back, with Erza and Mirajane soon following. Mira had pushed Raion to the opposite side of the pillar he was sitting against, but he was still partially caught up in it, as he and Mira were swept up in the wave of dark magic, which slammed him into a broken clump of stone wall.
"NO!" Raion shouted reaching out his arm as he watched the others get swallowed up by the darkness.
The dust settled to show Mira, Erza, Elfman, and Grey strewn around the place, each of them unconscious, and covered in ruble, debri, and various injuries.
"I must admit. You do seem quite powerful for an animal. But at the end of the day, that's all you are, an animal with no free will or rights of your own. Submit to me, bow down and lick my boots like the beast you are, or suffer the consequences." Jacques smirked evilly. "You cannot win, refuse to comply, and I'll make an example of those three girls on my daughters team you seem to care about so much! I'm sure at least one of the two humans will provide me with a fine heir to the SDC, while the animals skin will set an example for all filthy Faunus who choose to defy me."
(Cue Music… Believer: Imagine Dragons)
Raion was on his knees, his hands on the ground as tears began to soak the stone beneath him. The motionless bodies of his friends laying there covered in dust and debri, bringing up memories of his days at the SDC Mines, where several Faunus he called his friends, died of carbon monoxide poisoning produced by the mines. Clenching his fists, Raion slowly rose to his feet, his breathing heavy as his vision turned red, with the ground beneath him shaking as if the building were struck by an earthquake. Slowly raising his arm, Raion swung it back, green flames dancing around his fist as he smashed through the wall he'd landed against, while the wind pressure from the swing destroyed a good chunk of the still standing wall behind him.
"So, you choose to defy me. Typical of a mindless animal." Jacques scoffed. "I suppose my beating on you was too lenient. Guess your death will be sufficient punishment enough for you."
Letting out an angered battle cry of pain and sadness, as the building continued to quake around them, Raions aura flared up around him like a pillar of green flames, shocking the Schnee CEO, while forcing Jacques to hold up his arm against the wind as dust and dirt was picked up by the swirling mass of the young mans power. The rising power didn't die down as it increased in size, his hair dancing in the waves as the red locks of his hair, took on a green tint, and his eyes were pure red, with the Hybrid Huntsman consumed with rage.
Jacques's eyes squinted in anger as he glared at Raion, before they widened in surprise as the young man dispersed the aura around him, and without warning, flew straight at the disgraced SDC CEO, allowing the man barely any time to block the punch that was thrown in his direction. Jacques grunted as Raion's attack forced him to go sliding back, hitting into the stairs. He looked up with a glare, before his eyes widened in shock once more.
Raion was gone, and nowhere to be seen. He'd vanished from the Schnee's sight.
"Where did he go?" Jacques questioned.
Looking around, Jacques kept searching for Raion, but found nothing. He didn't find Raion, until the hybrid appeared out of the shadows, and in rapid succession, hit Jacques with multiple strike combos. The Schnee didn't know what to do, Raion's speed and strength from before had increased drastically, resulting in his attacks coming in as nothing but blurs to Jacques, not even the Kryptonite was affecting him anymore.
'What's going on? This isn't the same weakling I fought before.' Jacques thought as the beating continued. 'He's different, stronger somehow. Did what I say drive him to this point of anger? Maybe he really is the child of Kara Zor-El.'
Jacques managed to get away from Raion, catching his breath, while hissing in pain as his face was bleeding from multiple different wounds, before he sent an attack of shadows at Raion, intending on ending him then and there. The attack didn't seem to phase Raion however, as he just stood there and took it head on, before charging through the smoke right at Jacques, with the intent for murder etched onto his face. The Schnee man was forced to bring up his arms, using the armored suit to block Raions attacks, one after the other like a boxer in a ring, while Jacques kept his eyes on Raion. That strategy didn't last long however, as Raion vanished from sight, reappearing once more, forcing Jacques back before bringing his guard up once more, his arms in an X formation, blocking an axe kick that came down on him, with enough force to kill someone. Jose hit the wall, glaring at Raion as the Saiyan managed to get the drop on him.
'Damn it, my arms feel like they've been shattered to pieces. Did he break through the armors shock absorption with nothing but sheer force? Impossible!' Jacques thought, pushing Raion away, as the armor got to work on healing his injuries. 'Damn it all, I'm loath to be admitting this, but even if he's nothing more then a mindless animal, his potential for being a top tier Huntsman is frighteningly high.'
Raion just ran straight for Jacques, his strength and speed increasing once more, as he used his magic to create another pair of falchions. Jacques could see that Raion was starting to slow down, regaining himself, while beginning to feel affected by the stone in his chest again.
'It's only by a mere draw of chance that this stone ended up being the power source needed for mimicking Kara Zor-El's abilities. But the fact that it weakens this animal means there's some facets of its power that I'm not aware of yet.' Jacques thought, as he used Jose's magic to attack Raion. "It's good to see you've finally returned to what little senses you had. I wouldn't want you to miss all the fun. As soon as I'm through with you, the rest of your Guild Mates are next, and you'll be helpless to stop me."
"I'm not gonna let that happen Jacques. Your reign of terror, is over Jose." Raion shouted running to the Pseudo Phantom Master, with both elements of lightning and fire covering his fists. "This ends here and now."
Jacques jumped back, evading the young mans attack, as he threw his hand in Raion's direction, conjuring a magic circle under his feet, and wrapping the young man in bindings of darkness, and hoisting him into the air. Slamming him down several times, Jacques made sure to let Raion know, his pain was a far cry from being over.
"While I've never been particularly fond of your guild, my distaste for you is not what triggered this war." Jose said choosing to explain everything to the young man as he struggled in his bindings. "Phantom Lord was hired by the patriarch of both mine and the Heartfilia Family to return our daughters to us."
"Oh I'm well aware." Raion groaned as the darkness began to creep all over his skin. "I'm perfectly aware of who Weiss and Lucy are."
"The children of two of the wealthiest men in the world, are both now in Fairy Tail. So Makarov's trying to buy his way to the top, is he?" Jacques shouted, intensifying the bindings grasp on him. "Now that your guild has unfettered access to the Heartfilia and Schnee family fortunes, it's only a matter of time before that happens. But I'm afraid, I'm not gonna allow that to happen. I will not allow for my daughter to be taken advantage of like that."
"Ha. Ha-ha. Hahahahaha." Raion smiled, laughing at Jacques.
"What's so funny? Has the pain finally driven you mad?" The Schnee questioned.
"It's hilarious, extremely hilarious, at how concerned you are about something as silly and unimportant as your former guild's ranking, but I'm even more amused about how incredibly stupid and arrogant you are about Lucy and her relationship with her father, before this war began. Or maybe it's both your stupidity and arrogance that's blinding you from the truth. The Master isn't planning on taking advantage of Weiss or Lucy, and buying his way to the top, mainly because Fairy Tail's already at the top."
"What?" Jacques questioned in anger.
"You haven't been keeping up? Fairy Tail's been ranked as the strongest Guild in Fiore, for the past six years." Raion stated. "Lucy and Weiss aren't a means to an end, they're our friends. Lucy came to Fairy Tail as a runaway. She doesn't have any access to her family's vast fortune. She struggles to pay rent at her home for 70,000 jewel a month, she works hard to make a living. An' Weiss came to Fairy Tail, just as stuck up and prudish as you, with a stick so far up her ass, you could see it whenever she opened her mouth. But she's learned that there's more to life, then just getting what you want, and accepting what you have, now that she's no longer under your tyrannical influence. Lucy and Weiss both, are members of our Fairy Tail Family. They fight alongside us; they laughs with us, they cry with us, they're no different than any other member of Fairy Tail, and they're why we're at war, because we're fighting to protect them. They may be the daughters of rich noble families, but I don't even give a fuck about who they are, but just as flowers don't get to choose where they bloom, or rain doesn't get to choose where it falls, children don't get to choose their parents. You don't know anything about them, or the tears they have shed from the pain this war has caused." He shouted, pushing against Jacques's bindings, managing to give himself a little space.
"Well I'll find out soon enough." Jacques stated tightening his bindings. "I'm not going to be handing Lucy over to her father without reaping a benefit of some sort. I think 85% of his company's income and share will be sufficient enough incentive for returning her home, if Jude wants her back so badly."
"You wouldn't." Raion growled, fearing he knew where Jacques was going with this. "Damn you, you vile horrid, VILLAIN." Raion shouted pressing his arms out, weakening the bindings once more.
"Ah-ah-ah!" Jacques said, tightening the grip on the bindings. "I wouldn't keep struggling if I were you, it's only going to make this more painful." He smirked as two shadowy skeletons appeared from a magic circle he produced. "Since your very existence is a vile, and unwanted abomination, you can burn in hell with the rest of your animal loving Guild."
Raion pressed against his bindings until he felt his very life essence being sucked out of him by the death magic Jacques was wielding, while the skeletons repeatedly hit him with blunt weapons, causing massive amounts of damage to his body.
"You're not feeling very well, are you animal?" Jacques asked. "You're going to have to buck up because it's almost time. I want you, to make an appearance before your peers. Once they see their beloved God of War, in such a pitiful state, they're sure to surrender to me."
"You're a despicable monster!" Raion shouted.
Raion looked out the corner of his eye, and saw Mirajane, Elfman, Grey, and Erza were all still lying on the ground, still unconscious as their injuries and previous battles left them weakened beyond anything he could do in his current predicament to help. It took everything he had to use his healing magic to negate most of the strong effects of the Kryptonite powering Jacques's suit
"Now, now, insulting me like that isn't going to help your situation." Jacques exclaimed before turning up the juice. "Just surrender to your superior like the good monkey you are, and I can end your suffering." Raion screamed out in pain as Jose continued his attack. "It's futile to resist, I always get things to go my way."
'I'd rather die than cause my Guild mates to surrender.' Raion mentally exclaimed before noticing his falchions were on the ground. 'I leave the rest up to you. Ruby, Weiss, Blake, Yang, Mira, I'm sorry. Please forgive me.'
Raion reached out with his hand, and using his Ki control, used telekinesis to grab the black and red Falchion blade, and at rapid speeds, sent it to his throat, intending to end it to avoid forcing his Guild mates to surrender. Mere centimeters before the blade could pierce his throat, the clouds above both Guildhalls began to swirl as thunder cracked through the air, before a shining light stopped everything. Raion opened his eyes, his vision blurred, before his arms were at his sides, his bindings of darkness destroyed by the light, and his pain was soothed to incredible degrees that it was practically non-existent.
(End Song…)
Raion looked around, his eyes landing on Jacques, as the Schnee was looking. Following Jacques's lead, Raion looked up and gasped when he saw Makarov floating down from the sky onto a pile of stone rubble, with a displeased look on his face.
"You and Jose have shed the blood of our children, a crime that is unforgivable!" Makarov exclaimed his voice matching his expression. "They have been made to suffer because of the incompetence of their parents. The three of us are all to blame Jacques. This war between us, has gone on long enough. Let's end this here and now."
"Master." Raion smiled wiping tears from his eyes, before he noticed the chunk of Kryptonite that had been in the Schnee's armored suit, now sitting in the palm of Makarov's hand.
Jacques closed his eyes, before opening them again, revealing the black sclera and gold irises had intensified.
"My power, far surpasses Jose's. Even without this suit, I am far stronger then him. If we fight it could create a catastrophe." Jacques exclaimed as the ground around him began to shake.
"Tell me, where did you get this Kryptonite?" Makarov questioned. "It's the only thing, that can weaken Raion to such an incredible degree."
"I manufactured it." Jacques laughed. "If that stone is called Kryptonite, then by all means, it surely is a wonder to behold. The Magic Council got in contact with me, and requested I manufacture a crystalline stone, with a meticulous set of ingredients that had to be followed to the letter. So I did as commissioned, and even made a stone that was the perfect shape and size for powering my Faunus Armored Eradicator. Or FAE for short. But are you willing to cause a catastrophe to end this war?"
Makarov glared at Jacques, the veins on his forehead bulging. He raised his index finger on his left hand, a ball of light forming as the ground around him began to shake as well, as he completely destroyed the Kryptonite chunk in his hand.
"In order to save my guild, I will gladly take that risk!" Makarov exclaimed.
Grey, Elfman, Mira, and Erza woke up, feeling a warm light that reminded them of their Master. Just as they picked themselves up, Makarov and Jacques lunged at one another, their spells, butting heads.
"You children need to get out of here now." Makarov shouted from his battle.
"But master, we can't just leave you here." Grey shouted.
"No, we have to do as he says, otherwise it'll be pointless, and we'll just get in his way as he'll be holding back to avoid harming us." Raion exclaimed.
"Mira, can you stand?" Elfman asked.
"I can." Mira stated. "Raion, are you okay? You were coughing up blood."
"I'll be fine Mira." Raion said as Jacques and Makarov separated. "We have to leave now."
"Well, well now that you're here, I no longer have any interest in those children of yours. I'll exterminate those pests and get my daughter, as well as the Heartfilia girl, after I've finished you off." Jacques exclaimed as the five made their escape from the destroyed main hall. "It's been some years since we last came face to face. Then Jose wasn't even Master yet, and Phantom Lord was Number One, and no one knew how large Fairy Tail would become, or how much of a pain in Phantoms side it would be. Ha-ha-ha, but now it's been reduced to rubble thanks to my fight with that animal you call your God of War."
"Our Guildhall may have been destroyed, but we're as strong as ever!" Makarov shouted, drawing a constellation with his magic. "Because Fairy Tail isn't a place, it's the people who fill its halls. I couldn't have done this without you my children. Bless you all, be proud that you are members of Fairy Tail."
Jacques and Makarov went at it head long into the fray, fighting each other for what seemed like countless hours, when it wasn't even a fraction of that time, sending their strongest spells at one another, repeatedly before they stopped, having hardly broken a sweat, and separated from one another once again.
"I'm impressed." Makarov stated. "You have so much power at your command. I can see why the council nominated you to be one of the Ten Wizard Saints before you returned to Atlas Jacques. However you're misusing that power for your own personal gain. You could have become a role model for the younger generation. Instead you become a lesson in what not to do."
"What is this, a lecture?" Jacques asked. "I don't need a lecture, from an animal loving hippy like you old man."
"I've a rule that seems to work well with my Fairy Tail kids. Raion knows it quite well." Makarov stated. "I'll give you to the count of three to do exactly as I say."
Jacques's intensified, as he was not liking what Makarov was saying, thinking himself superior to all who opposed him, just like Jose did.
"Kneel to me." Makarov stated.
"What?" Jacques asked. "A Schnee bows to no one."
"One." Makarov counted.
"So you want me to concede and kneel before you? No way in hell!" Jacques shouted.
"Two." Makarov continued as he began his spell, bringing his hands together, with a foot's length apart, his left hand pointed towards the sky, and his right hand pointed to the ground, as light began to form in the center, Makarov's eyes going blank.
"Why would the most powerful man in Atlas, ever stoop so low as to kneel before you?" Jacques questioned preparing his own spell. "Technically we are equally powerful, but my ability to be heartless makes me even stronger."
"Three." Makarov finished, his hands switching positions.
"You are the one who should be kneeling before me!" Jacques shouted. "Now, you and your precious Fairy Tail children are going to die!"
"Times up." Makarov stated, both hands facing upward, before clapping them together as if he were praying.
A blinding light enveloped Makarov and the surrounding area, before the entire castle/robot was no longer visible, enveloped within a dome of holy light.
"Fairy Law!" Makarov shouted.
It wasn't long before the light began to die down, and Makarov stood on the rubble, with a cowering Jacques shaking in front of him, his armor in shambles and his hair standing on end, while the clothes under the armor, as well as his skin looked like they were bleached.
"You will never bother Fairy Tail again, understand?" Makarov questioned. "I'm sure the Magic Council will be watching us after all the chaos we've caused. You better be on your best behavior from now on. I know I will." He sighed as he turned to leave.
'Our master has fallen, how sad.' Aria mentally monologued reappearing from nowhere behind Makarov, an insane smile on his face. 'The old man's left himself open again. This is my chance.'
Before Aria could perform the Drain Spell once more, Raion came out of nowhere and slammed his fist into the Wind Huntsman's face, slamming Aria into the ground, causing more damage to the floor, as he sent him crashing through the levels bellow, rendering the Windy Huntsman, unconscious.
"I appreciate your help Raion, but I will be punishing you for disobeying my orders." Makarov stated, not turning around. "I had told you to leave, with the others!"
"I had actually left Master. I just returned, because I had a bad feeling about something, when I remembered not seeing Aria's body within the Main Hall during my fight with Jacques." Raion explained.
"Is that so? Then I guess you're free from punishment, since you did follow my instructions. I could have handled Aria on my own though." Makarov chuckled.
"I owed you for taking his attack for me earlier. For that I am truly grateful to you, Master." Raion smiled with a bow, a hand over his heart.
Makarov smiled at the boy's sense of honor, before turning his attention to any Phantom Lord members in the area.
"The war is over, there's no reason for us to fight anymore. But if you push me to the point of anger, I'll wipe out your entire Guild without hesitation. Now you kids get out of here, and take Jose with you, but leave Jacques." Makarov said, suddenly sounding like someone's nice grandpa.
Back with the rest of the Fairy Tail members, everyone was cheering on as they were victorious in the war against their rival guild.
"We are victorious, but I had very little to do with it." Makarov shouted as he and Raion stood on a ledge of Phantoms broken and destroyed guildhall. "This victory is yours my children."
Raions feet left the surface of the ledge, as he grabbed the Masters hands, as well as the cowering and sniveling Jacques, before flying back to the cliffside of the Guildhall. Everyone gathered to the front of the demolished building, giving Makarov a moment to himself, while Raion tied up the CEO of the SDC.
"It's in ruins." Makarov sighed. "They really did a number on it huh?"
"I'm sorry Master." Raion said. "Jacques and I destroyed what remained of our Guildhall, when we fought. I should have done a better job at keeping him from doing something so destructive."
"It's not your fault my boy." Makarov said. "It's simply a casualty of war."
"Master I…" Lucy said walking up through the group, Weiss with her, both looking equally saddened and guilty for this having happened. "I'm so sorry."
"Hmm?" Makarov inquired turning around. "Ah, my children you've been through a lot lately, but don't let it get you down."
"Yeah let's see a smile you two." A familiar voice said.
Lucy and Weiss looked up in surprise before turning to see Team Shadow Gear, as well as Ruby, covered in bandages and a sling and cast. Reedus was behind them, looking ashamed that he couldn't keep Lucy or Weiss safe.
"Levy, you're all right." Lucy gasped.
"Ruby." Weiss said.
"Yep we're back. We beat Phantom so there's no reason for you to be sad." Levy smiled with a wink.
"Sure they might have destroyed our Guildhall." Droy smiled.
"But we're going to rebuild it even bigger and better." Jet smirked.
"Oui." Reedus said, still sounding disappointed.
"Ruby, I am so sorry that this happened to you." Weiss said. "If you had gotten someone else as a partner for your team, then maybe this wouldn't have happened, and you wouldn't have gotten so badly hurt."
"What are you talking about Weiss?" Ruby asked, coming up to Weiss on her crutches. "Why would I want anyone else as a partner?"
"Ruby I…"
"I mean, yeah we had our rough patches when we first met, but we got through them." Ruby smiled. "I honestly wouldn't want anyone else as my partner. You're the only one I need."
"That's my little sis." Yang smiled, pulling Ruby in for a bone crushing hug. "Always so confident and knows what to say to make someone smile."
"Yang, you're gonna hospitalize her again." Blake said, trying to get the blonde off her.
"Ruby, I'm sorry I wasn't there to protect you, when you needed me." Raion said, addressing Ruby once she'd been released from Yangs death hug.
"Raion, I don't need you there to protect me all the time. I'm not a little kid anymore." Ruby smiled. "I'm not the same little gemstone, you used to know."
"But still." Lucy began. "It was all my fault, all of this, the Guildhall, everyone getting hurt, everything."
"It was mine as well." Weiss said. "I'm equally to blame for this happening."
"We heard about your secrets." Ruby said. "It was quite the shocker. I was especially stunned when I found out what your father did to you Weiss."
"But there's not a single person in the Guild who thinks either of you are to blame." Levy smiled.
"She's right. In fact I owe you an apology." Reedus said.
"Lucy, Weiss." Makarov began. "Though we may not be able to share our feelings of happiness and sadness entirely, we do share them to some extent. That's what happens in a Guild, in a family. One person's happiness becomes everyone's happiness. One person's anger becomes everyone's anger, and one person's tears, become everyone's tears. There's no reason for the both of you to feel guilty, so don't cry, you should already know how much everyone here cares about you. Hold your heads high my children, because the two of you are proud members of the Fairy Tail family."
Lucy and Weiss couldn't hold it in as they began to cry. All the stress, anxiety, and anger of the past few days, finally catching up to them, with Ruby and Levy giving the blonde and silver haired Huntresses a hug. Raion smiled softly, before he was taken aback, when Yang pulled him in for a hug, knowing he still felt guilty for not being able to help Ruby when they were attacked. Raion chuckled and leaned into the embrace, accepting he didn't have any control over the situation, and accepting his limitations.
"While I'm glad everything's worked out, I am worried about the Council. They'll be Furious I'm sure. I hate to think it, but I might even be looking at, prison time." Makarov said before he started crying.
"Master?" Erza questioned as she was confused as to why he was crying.
~A week later~
The sounds of construction crews were resonating through the town as all the members of Fairy Tail were pitching in on rebuilding the guildhall. Laki was creating different wooden statues for the center piece of the guild with her Wood Maker Magic, while Macao was judging them. The problem was, all the statues she made were of her lusts, kinks, and desires in a man.
"Okay, time for a break everyone." Mira called holding a tray of drinks, while Yang and Ruby helped with distributing the drinks.
"So, when are we gonna be able to start posting jobs again?" Yang asked. "I'm getting kinda antsy just sitting at home, with nothing to really do."
"Not for a while I'm afraid." Mira said. "How is Raion doing?"
"He's finally accepted the fact that Team RWBY's moved in with him for good." Ruby sighed. "But he's having trouble staying still. His body's still recovering from the damage it took fighting Weiss's dad. It's almost like he wants to worsen his condition."
"He just doesn't know when or how to relax." Yang added, as they put the rest of the drinks down. "So, Master still not back yet?"
"I'm afraid not." Mira sighed.
Master Makarov was called to the council for court clarification on the report they were given on who started the battle. In the end, Fairy Tail was deemed innocent and Phantom Lord was denounced as a Dark Guild for starting the war, and had been disbanded. For instigating the war, and endangering the life of a child, Jose was arrested and thrown in jail, with little to no chance of parole. While Jacques was detained, and picked up by Ironwoods top Huntsmen and Huntresses, the Ace Ops, to be escorted back to Atlas for a trial and punishment. Ironwood assured them that there was no way Jacques was gonna be able to weasel his way out of these charges, not when there were recordings of the broadcast, and an investigation that brought up numerous charges that had been dropped due to the, disappearances, of the witnesses that would have testified.
"To think Jacques would do something so awful." Yang said. "I'm just glad Raion was able to make the medicine Weiss needed to undo the Brainwashing Magic. At least she and Lucy are getting some much needed bed rest. Where are those two right now anyway?"
~Elsewhere~
Weiss was making her way down the cobblestone street, holding a rose as she went to visit one of her Guild Mates. Lucy had yet to show herself to the rest of the Guild since the Rune Knights finished the interrogation of everyone, and since she was banned from helping with rebuilding the Guild until Porlyusica gave her, the all clear on her brainwashing, she thought a visit from a friend, might cheer Lucy up. To her surprise, she caught the walking down the stairs of her apartment complex, after exiting the front door.
"Lucy." Weiss said, sounding shocked.
"Oh hey Weiss, what are you up to, and who's the rose for?" Lucy asked stopping to greet her.
"I came by to see how you were doing. The rose is for you since I thought you might like it." Weiss said giving it to her. "I'd have brought chocolates, but I thought that'd be too much like flirting."
"Oh, thank you." Lucy said as she took the rose, before there was an awkward moment of silence between the two Huntresses. "Um, would you mind coming with me? There's something I need to take care of, regarding this whole mess. I could really use the support from an old friend."
"Sure, I'll help in any way I can." Weiss smiled.
"Perfect. Because I'm needing you to come with me to confront my father." Lucy stated.
"No problem." Weiss said.
~Heartfilia Estate~
"Man I don't remember your home being so big." Weiss whistled.
"Most people think this is a town." Lucy chuckled. "We kinda expanded the grounds a bit since your last visit."
"Well you do need somewhere for your staff to live." Weiss said, before they stopped as they caught sight of someone Lucy hadn't seen in a while.
"Ms. Supetto!" Lucy called out, recognizing an old friendly face.
"Miss Lucy you've come back to us…" The entire staff shouted appearing from nowhere.
"Whoa, do they all hide in the bushes all day or what?" Weiss questioned.
"Welcome back miss, I hope you're ready to start hitting the books again." Her teacher asked.
"Look at you, all grown up. Who is this?" The chef asked looking at Raion. "Oh, Ms. Schnee, a pleasure to see you again."
"Likewise." Weiss said.
The friendly reunion continued on, before it was interrupted as a servant came out to the courtyard.
"Ms. Lucy, Ms. Weiss, the master requests both your presence in the study." The one servant called.
"How do you like that, his runaway daughter finally returns home, and he doesn't have the gull to come out himself and greet her." Weiss huffed.
"I see he hasn't changed at all." Lucy scoffs.
~Later~
Lucy stood in front of a full length mirror, in one of her old dresses, as Raion was dressed in a suit the family tailors whipped together with their sewing magic. The Fairy Tail emblem on his forearm covered by the sleeves of his shirt. Weiss wore another dress, one that held an ice theme to its design, while her hair was done in a similar fashion to Lucy's, while she had a good portion remaining down.
"Do I really have to wear this dress?" Weiss asked messing with the hem at her chest. "I mean it's nice and all, but it's compressing my chest so much, it's making it hard to breathe."
"Yes, we're wanting to make a good impression on my father, before we burn him." Lucy said, as they made their way through the halls.
"Something tells me Natsu would take that the wrong way." Weiss stated, imagining Natsu hitting Mr. Heartfilia with a breath attack.
"You're probably right. Now remember to remain quiet, I'm wanting to handle this my way." Lucy said as they reached the doors to his study. "Excuse me father? It's Lucy and Weiss. May we come in?"
"Yes, you may." A voice came from the other side of the doors. "You ran away without even saying a word to me. How could you?"
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have left without speaking to you." Lucy said, Weiss standing a few feet behind her. "It was a poor decision on my part. One I now deeply regret."
"Ms. Schnee, I do appreciate you taking the time, to escort my runaway daughter back home. I have a reward waiting for you, before you leave." Mr. Heartfilia said, looking to Weiss.
"Thank you, Mr. Heartfilia." Weiss said.
"I'm glad you finally came to your senses and left that Guild. A lady of your status shouldn't be affiliated with those ruffians. I certainly wasn't looking forward to wasting any more of my money to have it eradicated." Jude stated.
Even with not being able to see her, Lucy was able to tell Weiss's patience was wearing thin, especially with what her father had just said.
"You forced me to go to extremes, Lucy. If you hadn't acted so selfishly, I wouldn't have had to lash out at your Guild." He said, as if he did nothing wrong. "I have arranged for you to marry Duke Sawarr, the Junelle Heir."
"Yes. I suspected that might be the case." Lucy stated.
"Hmm. Try to think of this as an investment in your future. Once you're married we'll have access to the Junelle's vast land in the south, which will allow us to expand the Heartfilia railway, and bring in millions." Jude said, turning to the window.
"I see." Lucy stated with a hint of venom in her voice.
"I expect you to give birth to a baby boy. We need a Heartfilia heir. That is all for now, you may return to your room." Mr. Heartfilia said.
There was a tense moment of silence, as no one said anything, before Lucy decided to speak her mind, and make things clear between her and Jude.
"I'm sorry father, but that's not going to happen! Not now, and not ever!" Lucy exclaimed.
Jude Heartfilia turned to his daughter and looked at her with a look of shock and irritation.
"I didn't come here to make amends, and Weiss didn't escort me home. I came here to say my final goodbyes, and Weiss's here to support me, because she's my friend!" Lucy stated firmly. "I realize it was wrong of me to just leave without saying anything. It's a decision I've regretted every single day, and so I've come back to tell you exactly how I feel, before I leave for good!"
"Lucy…" Jude scoffs in an agitated tone.
"All the money in the world can't buy you happiness! I figured that out when I was a child. Finally I'm truly happy, in a place I found I belong, and I'm not gonna let you ruin it for me, you hear? I'm warning you. You'd better not mess with Fairy Tail ever again!" Lucy shouted before ripping her dress, as a show of defiance. "It doesn't matter that you're my father. If you threaten us, we will crush you just like any other enemy of Fairy Tail. It didn't have to be this way Jude, you and I could have sat down together and talked things out. But instead you threatened me and the lives of everyone I care for. You even paid Fairy Tail's worst enemy, to try and eradicate us. Now I can't even trust you. I don't need fancy dresses, a big house, or lots of money to be happy, all I wanted was to be accepted for who I am. I'm no longer Lucky Lucy Heartfilia, I'm Lucy of Fairy Tail!"
Jude was taken by this as he looked at Lucy, watching in shock as he saw the silhouette of his wife, standing behind her.
"The Rune Knights, were informed about who paid Phantom Lord to instigate the war between our Guilds, as well as why you did such a thing. So expect a visit from them in the near future." Weiss informed him as they turned to leave.
"Goodbye Jude. Live long, and I hope you can find happiness." Lucy said waving her hand with her Fairy Tail emblem to her father, while leaving Jude, utterly speechless.
~Later~
Weiss and Lucy stood outside, in their normal clothes they had arrived in, facing the grave of Lucy's mother, as Lucy held the rose Weiss gave her.
"This is it Raion, my mother's grave." Lucy said softly.
Weiss stepped up and held out her hand. Twisting her wrist forward, Weiss produced another rose from out of nowhere, before placing it on the pedestal of the tombstone.
"Where'd that rose come from?" Lucy asked.
"A little slight of hand Klein taught me before going to Beacon." Weiss chuckled. "It was something he used to do, for entertaining me when I was little. He taught it to me, because he thought it might come in handy as a party trick or something."
"Hey, Lucy, Weiss!"
The two of them turned around to see Natsu, Grey, Happy, Ruby, Blake, and Yang, and Raion running towards them, with Ruby limping in her medical boot. Natsu was the one who called out their names.
"Why'd you guy's run off?" Grey asked as they met half way.
"Lucy, I'm so glad you're not gone." Happy cried flying into her chest.
"I'm sorry guy's I didn't meant to worry you." Lucy said.
"Why the hell would you leave on a trip with Lucy to this place?" Ruby asked, getting in Weiss's face.
"I went to check up on Lucy, to make sure she was doing okay. She asked me to come with her to confront her father, as emotional and moral support." Weiss said. "There was just some stuff we had to take care of with Jude Heartfilia. So there's no need to worry, Lucy and I are staying with you and the others, for good."
"That's a relief to hear." Raion said, readjusting his arm in the sling.
"Glad to know we're stuck with you Ice Queen." Yang smiled.
"Though I do gotta ask." Weiss said. "What exactly is in those pills you made for me Raion? I'm a fourth of the way through my treatment, so I think I deserve an answer."
"I'll tell you the day after you finish your treatment." Raion said. "For now, let's go home, and order some takeout."
