We always watch the sun rise together every morning. Since I stopped forcing myself to sleep like I did before this Apocalypse was thrown onto me, it's actually been me who wakes up Tei during our time here in the Germany house. He might have these insane and wild angelic powers but I'm convinced there's a part of him who's human. He sleeps and suffers headaches sometimes like any human does. I've only felt awful head pain that one night in my brother's room, but I don't think that was a human's headache.
I lower the volume on my small tv in my bedroom that was playing German news. For some reason I have a tough time learning their language even though we've been living here for a while now, so I constantly watch the news. I can't be positive it helps me, but I like to think it does. I exit my room and walk the incredibly short distance to the room that Tei sleeps in. He won't call it his bedroom. I know it's because he probably wants to share a room with me but that's not happening. Sorry Tei.
Slowly creaking the white door open, I slide into the room and as always I watch Tei sleep for a little bit before I actually wake him up for the sunrise. He always looks so peaceful like this, since he always looks so angry all the time. Eventually I step over and shake him awake. "Good morning Tei."
"Good morning mein liebchen," was his gentle and slurry reply as he came to. The German he spoke was roughly something like 'my love'. You know I always thought 'angel bug' had been corny but this was on a whole other level now. I step back to give him space to stand up from bed and then our daily routine begins. Tei pulls my hair into his specially crafted braid, then I head down to the kitchen to make some coffee - German coffee obviously, and I've actually grown to like it a lot. I usually put my coffee into a Supernatural mug I got from that convention I went to when I was traveling with Dean and Sam, and take it with me as we go outside onto our wrap porch and get comfy on the porch swing. From there in the Germany mountains we watch the sunrise. Silly? Maybe even cliché, but I'm glad we do it.
However the rest of the day would not go as it usually did. Halfway through we returned from the grocery mart in the village with fresh items. We were putting everything away and talking about dinner when my cell phone rang. Only four people had this number, so I knew it would be Apocalypse-related. "Hello?"
"Hey Lynn, can you come to Bobby's right now?" Sam asked me. "There's kind of a situation."
"Of course. What happened?" I asked back, closing the cabinet after I filled it with cans of vegetables.
"Dean has given up and he was going to say yes to Michael. We've got him here now but this whole ordeal is a mess."
What the hell and why has Dean given up? He wants to say yes to Michael? After I betrayed my own uncle and fought for otherwise? "We're on our way."
Tei doesn't roll his eyes for once. "Let me guess love... Bobby's?"
"It's like clockwork every time I get a call," I said jokingly. "Well, I guess are you ready to go?"
Tei nodded and he zapped us right into Bobby's scrapyard. We head right inside into an all out verbal warzone. "Michael can kill the Devil and save a crap ton of people!" I heard Dean first.
"That's not all of them so we need to think of something else," Bobby was next.
"If Lucifer destroys everything and I could have done something, that's on me you know?" Dean told him. Okay maybe it wasn't all out and it was just Dean and Bobby fighting. I enter the library to alert our presence. "Lynn help me out here," Dean begged me. "You said you met with Gabriel and he wanted you to convince us to play our roles right?"
"That's correct." I confirmed.
"I'm trying to do that Lynn, and look at them." Dean scoffed over at Bobby, Sam, and Cas. Bobby looked ready to rip him a new one but didn't because Cas suddenly keeled over in the same position I'd seen Raquel in for using angel radio, but Cas was on the receiving end this time.
"What is it?" I asked him.
"Something's happening," he replied, looking distraught.
"Where?" Sam asked, but by then Cas had already flown us away. Sorry humans. We were in some creepy wooded area now, more like a swamp.
"I feel strange?" I whispered confusingly.
"Yes." Cas weirdly agreed. We began to walk until we come across a pile of fresh mud, and it was moving. Freaky much? I stood still with Tei as Cas knelt down and reached out his hand towards the moving mud and leaves.
I hear voices so we turn around immediately. An angel possessing a bald man with a goatee and glasses pulls out an angel killing blade and swings fast. I yelped as he managed to cut my forearm a little bit and it hurt just as bad as when War stabbed me with iron. Tei blasted the angel back and attacked him the same way he did Sachiel. Another angel then appears, automatically coming for me but this time Cas came to my aid. I look down at my injury as they fight. I'm not bleeding this time? My cut is oozing something else... celestial power? Those angel killing swords now terrify me!
Unfortunately a third angel shows up and I know I'm on my own. It's time to show off all my hard work. I lower my arms as the angel nears me, then raise my uninjured left arm straight back up and I smirk at the angel, snapping my fingers. He stops dead in his tracks and grunts, followed by screaming and all his facial orifices glowing as he was smited. By then Tei smites the first angel and Cas stabs the second one with his own blade.
We regroup and Tei holds out my injured arm. His orange eyes glow and angelic power came out of his hand as he waved it over my cut, healing it. I watch Tei in awe and thank him. "Don't be ridiculous and never thank me, mein liebchen." He replied.
Now we all returned to the moving mud. I shrieked as someone's hand came out, stepping back. Cas knelt down again and grabbed the hand, pulling out what turned out to be a young looking man. Cas picks him up and we fly back to Bobby's library. "Help!" Cas demanded, throwing the young man on a bed. Bobby wheeled over from behind his desk and Sam and Dean came over.
"Who is it?" Bobby asked.
The boys looked absolutely shocked. "That's our brother." Sam recognized.
Cas really looked confused as did I. "Wait a minute, your brother? Adam?" Bobby remembered.
"Cas, Lynn, what the hell?" Dean asked us.
Cas laid down the three angel killing blades. "Dickhead angels tried to attack us." I spoke for him.
"Angels? Why?" Sam asked.
"I told you they were dickheads!" Dean scolded me.
"I know one thing for sure. We need to hide him now." Cas placed a hand on Adam's chest. Small light came from his hand as he seared a sigil into him, causing him to wake right up.
"Where am I?" He demanded. "...Where the hell is Zachariah?" Wow, he's a Winchester and he looks nothing like the other two. He's a dirty blonde with extremely bright blue eyes.
I head into the kitchen after Adam's calmed down and goes to clean himself up of all that mud. It's morning time still over here so I think I'll have a second breakfast. Tei remains in the library with the others while I whip up a German special. When Adam came back down he was ready to clarify everything that he knew. "So... I was dead… and in Heaven except it looked like my prom. I was making out with this girl, her name was Kristin McGee-" I hope she wasn't related to Timothy.
"Yeah, that sounds like Heaven. Did you get to third base?" Dean interrupted.
Sam cleared his own throat next. "Please keep going."
Adam nodded. "Then these angels popped up out of nowhere, and they tell me that I am chosen." He explained.
"For what?" Sam asked.
"To save the world." Adam announced calmly.
"How you gonna do that?" Dean wondered.
"Oh! Me and some Archangel are gonna kill the Devil," Adam admitted. "Michael... I'm his sword or vessel, or something."
"That's insane," Dean disagreed.
"Not necessarily," Cas suddenly went into deep thought. Even I poked my head out from the kitchen to hear Cas. "Maybe they've moved on from you Dean." He assumed.
"Well that doesn't make sense." Dean scoffed.
"He is John Winchester's bloodline," Cas started. "He is a fit vessel for Michael."
"Wait a minute," I said. "Gabriel said these roles are for Dean and Sam."
"Yeah and now all of a sudden they have a plan B?" Sam agreed.
"Maybe they're desperate." Cas deducted. I sighed and return to the kitchen to resume breakfast. Adam was persistent on leaving to join the angels but he had another thing coming if he thought any of us were going to let him leave. I serve breakfast at an appropriate time, calling them all in.
"What the hell did you make?" Dean asked, looking at his plate of what looked like dark pieces of bread.
"I got this okay," I took a deep breath. "It's Broetchen, to eat with Schwarzwaelderschinken and salami, with gouda."
I'm met with awful silence from everyone until Adam says, "I know what gouda is."
Dean says, "Couldn't you have just made bacon?"
Sam and Bobby have already eaten half of their sandwiches.
After EVERYONE has eaten the rest of the day continues to pass. Even though we're all watching Adam, apparently Dean still can't be trusted either so Sam had him locked up in Bobby's panic room. Tei and I spend the rest of our time here, and eventually nighttime creeps around. Adam was sleeping, and Sam came up from the basement so Cas decided to head down in his place to look after Dean. I wanted to stretch my legs and maybe ask Cas a few questions about the angels and Heaven, so I followed Cas down and of course Tei went with me. As we enter the basement we hear a shatter.
"Dean?" Cas quickly approached the panic room door, peeking through to check on Dean but I don't think he was in sight. He opens the entire door and steps inside. I however cannot enter due to the anti-demon features installed within the room, so I stand as close to the door outside of the room as I can. We look around the room and observe a fallen desk and lamp.
"Sorry guys," I heard Dean say from behind Cas to the right. I watch this guy jump out of a closet and on the inside of the door is an angel banishing sigil. Dean turns and presses his bloodied palm over the sigil and I experienced terrible pain as I was sent away from there.
Teivel for some reason did not get blasted away, instead suffering what looked like painful burns on his skin. Dean watched him in terror, thinking he was about to be killed for what he just did. Fortunately Teivel just grunted in pain and asked, "Are you going to Michael?"
Dean was stunned but still fearful. "Yes."
Teivel stepped back. "Then go. I cannot interfere with Michael."
Dean waited a moment before he approached the door. "I'm sorry for using that on Lynn. It wasn't really supposed to be for her. She'll come back."
"I am aware. Please leave." Teivel uttered. Dean nodded and made his escape through the cellar storm door on the other end of the basement.
When I came to after getting literally banished, I found myself in a dimly lit room on a small bed. I heard a nervous gulp from someone and a sudden shift. I sit up in the bed and come face to face with a boy who looks my age. He stands across the small room we're in from me. Unlike Tei he had a clean face, with short but kind of messy light brown hair and blue eyes. He was just a littler taller than me and he wielded a cane in his right hand. A young cripple?
"Where am I?" I look around and am convinced I'm in a hotel room. There's a bed next to the one I sat on. Behind the cripple was a small kitchen and left of us was a bathroom. "Tei?" I called out, wondering if he was near.
"You're in my apartment," the boy spoke nervously, well young man I suppose is what I should be calling a teenage boy shouldn't I? "You um... showed up out of thin air screaming and then you passed out."
"And you're not panicking about any of this strangeness at all?" I bluntly asked him.
"Oh I did a little bit, but I..." he took a deep breath like he was very shy. "You're not human are you?"
I narrowed my bright green eyes at him intensely, making him appear a little intimidated maybe. I'd been too busy with his cute looks to notice that I could sense a powerful Grace within him; it reminded me of Tei's. "No, but as I've been told I'm wearing a human. She's my vessel."
"So you're an angel," the young man deduced, lifting his head up higher.
"I'm a Hybrid," I corrected him, feeling a sense of proudness. "How about you?"
"My mom says I'm half angel," he admitted to me. "Luckily she isn't here right now or else this would have been a bad situation."
I shook my head. "Are you a half angel, half human?" I wondered, and he nodded. "That explains a lot, thank you young man." I realized. His Grace was so similar to Tei's, and I know Tei is some part angel. Is he also part human? Is that why he gets headaches and he sleeps? More and more unanswered questions.
"Call me Drew," he introduced.
"Okay Drew, and you can call me Lynn," I offered. "I've been hoping to find others like me, but right now I have to get back because there's a bad situation happening." I admitted. "Where am I exactly? I can come back if you'd like."
Drew widened his eyes. "Brooklyn, New York."
"Thank you Drew," I nodded and attempted to zap myself back to Bobby's but yet I remained standing across from Drew. "What the-?" I try to snap my fingers this time and I still don't fly. "The angel banishing sigil must have weakened me pretty badly."
"If you're trying to use your powers you should stop," Drew advised. "You've got a nosebleed." He walks towards the bathroom to grab some tissue paper. Meanwhile I sit back down on the bed and calmly accept the tissue and wipe my nose. I reach for my phone next but my bad luck continues; the screen is completely fried.
"Note to self, avoid those banishing sigils at all costs," I mumbled to myself as Drew kept standing and looking cautious. Cute too, but I believe I've already mentioned this. "Do you have a cell phone I could use?"
Drew nodded, pointing to the other bed next to me. "It's my mom's but she keeps it here in case I need to call her at her work."
"You seem like a very good son." I praised, flipping the cell phone open to dial Tei's number. We kept United States numbers so that way Bobby and the others could still contact us in Germany.
"Uh, thanks?" Drew said confusingly. I could tell he really had a lot questions, but he was gonna go with the flow maybe. Sometimes it's better that way.
"Lynn?" Tei successfully guessed when he answered on the other line. "Where are you?"
"New York," I barely let out. "I think I need you to come get me because I can't zap anywhere."
"Of course my love. The sigil Dean used hurts you more because of your demon-half." He let out with slight anger.
I gulped. "You didn't kill Dean did you?" I asked, causing Drew to look at me in alarm and even more confusion than earlier. Then I watched him turn to his left towards the TV in the corner across from me. Above the TV was a shelf with a photo of a blonde lady and Drew was staring at it nervously.
"No I did not, even though I wanted to. He wants to go to Michael and we cannot get in Michael's way of the Apocalypse," Tei answered. "We are going back home."
"The hell we are!" I yelled a little loudly into the cell phone. "Then you'll have to start searching all of New York before I tell you where I'm at."
He simply replied with, "I know you're weakened from the sigil so maybe it's best to just stay where you're at so I'll see you at home after you recover."
"Like I'm not about to call Cas?" I uttered to him before I hung up on him. Unfortunately I only had Tei's number memorized so I couldn't call anyone else even if I wanted to - wait why is that? Why don't I know their numbers?
"Are you okay?" I heard Drew ask me followed by, "You have a nosebleed again." And that was all I remember because I felt myself falling backward onto the bed I woke up on and fell back into an unusual sleep; maybe this was the kind of sleep Cas went through when we traveled back in time to stop the angel Anna.
