I'm standing in front of the barrier that separates the Domain from the rest of this separate plane of Hell we were in, locked away by a door hidden behind a wall in the Ruler of Hell's throne room.

That would go over anyone's head.

I shouldn't be here though, I should be back at the brick house Daimon poofed up for us. I go to turn around from the barrier when I heard a dark and possessive voice haunt me.

Angel bug...

Part of me froze up, but the other part turned back around to see Teivel standing on the other side of the barrier. My crazy ex-boyfriend as Colby, my new demon friend calls him. I knew right away it was him, even though it was beyond dark in this place - our only source of light is a giant blue moon that's currently focused on our brick house only. I could recognize his eyes from a mile away, those piercing and evil flaming orange eyes.

I covered my mouth as I gasped at him. "You think you could hide from me?" He asked me. "I found you in Missouri. I found you in Detroit. I found you here. I'll always find you, my love."

I screamed as Teivel crosses the barrier, making him stuck here like the rest of us. Can we die here? Or did I already die when Cas sent me here? Regardless, I finally turned my entire body and ran as fast as I could. "Colby!" I shrieked, half expecting him to show up and kick Teivel like he did Coy.

Where was he? Where was Daimon? If he sensed when I first arrived here, why didn't he notice Teivel? Maybe it's another Nephilim perk. We're all done for! I yelped when I felt Teivel grab my right arm to yank me around, facing him. "Help me!"

Then I no longer see my love's face, but the faint glow of a candle a few feet away from my face. "I'm right here to save the day." I heard Colby say quietly so he didn't startle me.

"What?" I said weirdly, noticing I was observing the candle sideways. I blinked and realized I was laying on my side... with my head in Colby's lap. He was sitting up on the floor against one of the leather couches on the left side of the living room, which was also the side the blue moon's light came through in. Daimon established a giant, plate glass window so we got the full amount of the moonlight.

"Pretty sure you were saying my name in your sleep, and I might have heard a 'help me' so here I am." Colby explained. "I got some of the mud out of your hair." He added. I felt him run his hand through my hair again and I guess it felt nice, even though he was picking out literal dirt.

I felt comfortable if I'll be honest, so I'm glad that was all just a nightmare. I have to be sure, though. "So he's not here?" I asked, wondering why I felt so warm on top of it all. I don't think it was from the candle.

"Who?" Colby asked back.

"Tei, Teivel," I let out.

"Ew, what did you call him?" Colby asked grossly, reminding me of when Gabriel gave me grief over the nickname.

"Never mind," I muttered. "Thanks for saving me again, I guess."

"You're welcome," Colby said. "That Mel lady went upstairs to get the bath ready for you, I think she might even shine your shoes too if you ask her-"

I threw my arm up to hit him on his chest with my fist, backwards. He grunted in pain instantly. "You're just as strong as Dai." He groaned through it.

"I like Mel, and clearly my brother does too, so I won't hear any more of what you just said, got it?" I said sternly to him.

Colby nodded, his blue eyes growing back to normal size as he was recovering. "Yes ma'am, Lady Lynn Your Majesty."

"You ought to hit him in his mouth next time," we both heard Mel say from the left, which was where the stairs going up were.

"Not this handsome mug," Colby rubbed his chin with a grin. I rolled my eyes and got up from laying down. "Leaving so soon?" He asked me with obvious puppy eyes. How immature.

"Gonna get the rest of the mud out," I decided, approaching Mel.

"Dibs on the room next to the one Lynn picks!" Colby announced.

Mel glared at him as I went up the black carpeted stairs. I waited at the top for Mel so she could guide me to the bathroom. I could hear a shower running from the inside. "I made it a walk in shower with a sliding door." Mel winked at me.

"That sounds so awesome!" I gushed. "You're able to figure out how to manipulate the space here? That's what Colby said."

"I heard my name!" He yelled from downstairs. We ignored him.

"Yes of course, aren't you?" Mel inquired, ushering me into the bathroom. "I'll make sure he doesn't bother you while you're in there." She promised.

"Thanks," I half laughed, closing the door behind me. The bathroom too was lit by candles only. No windows so no blue light; it was actually a mild relief not seeing in blue for a moment. It was a large bathroom but there wasn't much in here. A small white sink in a white stand, with a big mirror above it. Across from it was the shower Mel described and a towel rack next to it. I saw some clothes in a pile on the ground, so I assumed Mel put them there for me. Whatever they were, hopefully she got my size right.

I undress and enter the step-in shower, which I have to admit really is cool. The sliding door had me so bewildered I open and shut it several times before I actually focused on my shower. The water was warm and felt great. It was only when I got to washing my neck that I started to panic.

My human sister's tale of Teivel choking her to near-death washed over me instead of the water. I look around blindly before I come to, remembering I'm safe and where I'm at. That's right, hiding in the Domain from Teivel. My life on Earth was gone. My new life here was just beginning.

After I come out of the shower clean and mud-free, I find Mel waiting in the hall loyally. "Feel better?" She asked.

"Much," I replied, dangling an arm up and down. "Thank you for the clothes."

"You're welcome," Mel chuckled. "When you figure it out for yourself, you're welcome to change into something you'll like more. Now, do you want an upstairs room or a downstairs room?"

The bedroom I spent most of my life in with Teivel was an upstairs room. Both of our rooms in the Germany house were upstairs rooms. "Downstairs, if that's okay." I requested.

"Of course," Mel nodded. "And I suppose you're okay with that boy being your neighbor down there?"

"I have a name, you know!" Colby yelled again. Daimon must have thought up thin walls for this place.

"Yeah, it'll be fine," I decided. "He's my hero after all."

Mel nodded again. "From Coy, that slimy bastard. He was always nutty over you, so a part of me is glad you don't remember any of that."

"Well thanks for always being there, Mel." I said to her. She simply smiled at me, stepping out of the way so I could head back downstairs.

"Hey neighbor," Colby said gleefully when I returned to the living room. "Wanna see your new digs?"

"Of course," I said, following him across the living room to the door that led... who knows. The basement? There's a basement? Wait-

Colby opened the door and started going down, possibly confirming my theory. "What's down there?" I demanded, stopping.

"A basement with a bathroom and two bedrooms," Colby answered. "Why?" He asked, looking back to see that I've begun to step back. "What's wrong?" He comes back up to the top. "Lynn?"

I've managed to back up all the way to the wall next to the door that goes outside. "Are you scared of the basement?" Colby wondered.

I shook my head. "No."

He narrowed his eyes. "Did he do something to you in the basement?"

I managed to nod, biting my lip because I'm exhausted of crying. Colby slowly approached me. "I understand, so I'm gonna be right here with you and I'll get you to your room, alright? Can you trust me?"

"I think so," I admitted, reaching for his hand he offered out. He carefully escorts me into the basement, which this one appeared finished. There was carpet and that was it. The bathroom door was open so I could tell it was the first door on the right. Adjacent to the bathroom door was bedroom one, and left of that door was bedroom two. For a finished basement it sure was... tiny. Hopefully the rooms were big.

Also, I didn't see anything resembling a torture table or made of iron, so I lessened the death grip I held over Colby's hand as he opened both bedroom doors. "Take your pick."

"The right one," I pointed quickly.

"You haven't even seen them yet. Are you sure?" Colby wondered confusingly.

"Yes I am. You can have the left." I decided.

"Alright." Colby grinned, stepping over into the left bedroom to explore. I should do the same, so I went into my new room. Whoa, it was definitely bigger than any room I've ever had. It was like my Delaware bedroom times three, maybe four. There were no windows and there wasn't a single closet in sight. Just one table with a bunch of candles keeping the room lit dimly.

Mel said I could figure it out. I tapped my chin, thinking. A large waterbed would be really nice. I look at my hand as I hold it up close to my face. I've snapped my fingers before and I've seen others do it as well. It's just like when I poofed the milkshakes for JD and I. I snapped my fingers and to my amazement, the waterbed of my thoughts appeared.

"Oh, I see," I sighed in realization. That's how it's done. I left my door open and head over to the bed, plopping on it and drowning, just kidding. Waterbeds sure are squishy.

"What the hell kind of bed is that?" I heard Colby ask in pure amazement, making me turn over and glare at him at the entrance to my room.

"You don't knock?"

"It was open." He reminded me.

"Oh, right." I sighed. "You've never seen a waterbed before?"

"A waterbed?" Colby repeated. "There's WATER in that thing? No way."

I rolled over to the right side. "Come check it out if you don't believe me, but don't jump or you'll create a disaster."

"A disaster sounds fun," Colby suggested, eagerly walking in towards the bed. He poked the water-filled mattress and I watched his eyes widen like a small child in a candy store. "NO WAY!" He climbs on and was beside himself when he plopped like I did. I laughed at him.

"I'm totally going to put one in my room," Colby decided, and I noticed that I started feeling extra warm again. The table with the candles was near the door so it wasn't that.

I suspect Colby, but I don't know how, or why. Isn't he just a demon? I tried so hard to think about it that Colby stopped to stare at me. "Why are you crying?" He asked me. He leaned over to wipe some of the tears rolling down my cheeks. When he did, I felt even warmer. Colby is definitely the source of the heat, but how?

"I'm stressed out to put it simply," I tried not to nudge like a cat at his warm touch. It was strange how I was acting, honestly. I felt calmer than I have been. Maybe I'm feeling more open towards Colby now. I thought earlier I didn't need to like any more guys, but...

"From what's his face?" Colby assumed, pulling his hand away after my tears dried up. "That sucks that he was your guardian. Michael sure is a dick. Not that he really needs a reason, from what I've heard about him, but why exactly did he do all the bad stuff you said he did?"

Out of instinct I reach down to my right side, where I know the permanent marking resides. It's only visible if you say Gabriel's magic words. "He imprinted on me, non-werewolf style."

I heard a noise across my new room which turned out to be Daimon and Mel. They were sitting on the hardwood floor by the open door. Damn, they're sneaky. "Out of all the beings on the planet..." Daimon spoke lowly. "The universe chose my sister for that monster to imprint on."

Colby narrowed his eyes in Daimon's direction before looking back at me on the waterbed. "Does he know about it?"

"He would have been here from the start if he did," Mel input. "That's what I remember about all that, anyway."

"He doesn't know," I confirmed. "But he's in some kind of coma right now, so he wouldn't be here even if he could."

I caught Daimon looking at me curiously. "You performed the somnus re mala on him?" He realized.

I nodded now, also noticing Colby starting to get more comfortable on my bed. He better not think of trying to make a claim. "The spell didn't finish unfortunately, so I don't know when he'll wake up again." I decided to tell them.

"Where is he?" Mel wondered.

"Being watched." Was all I said for that. "Can someone tell me now how you guys know him?"

"I don't know him, just know what Dai's said before." Colby admitted. "You really ARE hiding here, aren't you?"

Before I answer, Daimon gets up from the floor. Mel promptly copies him. "Do you remember when he was born?" Mel asked him.

"Stop it Mel. Like I said earlier, I do not want to remember." Daimon scolded, deciding to exit my room.

"Don't walk away from me," Mel warned him. "And that's too bad that you don't want to remember. I never forgot, even if you and your pai did."

"Someone say pie?" Colby asked, rolling over (closer to me) and laid on his stomach, looking across the room. Is he related to Dean?

Daimon made it out into the small basement when he stopped in his tracks, but he didn't turn back around. "He is still alive too?"

"I haven't seen him in decades," Mel admitted. "But I did hear that he's begun looking for the Elemental Tablets."

"I know those!" I screeched instantly. "I mean, I learned about them a little bit from an angel and..." I gulped. "Teivel took down the Angel of Water, keeper of the Water Tablet."

Daimon clenched his fists. "That was payback for him, then. I have heard enough."

Mel sighed, casting her brown eyes onto me apologetically before she went after Daimon, who stomped upstairs. I now looked right at Colby, well first I noticed his entire backside since he was lying on his stomach. Then I noticed that he noticed me checking him out. "Like what you see or something?" He laughed.

"How old are you?" I suddenly asked.

"I am mega old," Colby answered. "Why?"

I shook my head. "I mean your vessel. How old was he when you possessed him?"

Strangely, Colby went back to looking across my room for a short while in silence before he replied. "Fifteen years old. Also, demons don't call them vessels like the angels do. We call them meatsuits."

"I believe you're right, sorry." I said, recalling one of the many conversations between myself and the Winchesters in the Impala. CRAP. I was supposed to see Bobby and Dean before I came here. They're going to assume the worst if Castiel doesn't fill them in. "My vessel is fifteen too, so I thought it was a coincidence that you're the third supernatural being I've met who's my age during my trial on Earth." Even though I'm here now.

My unusual words caused Colby to look back at me. "Trial on Earth? You mean when you were just living up there?" He asked. I nodded with a frown and he shared one back. "Who said anything about a trial? Your existence means more than that, you know."

A whimper escaped me so I looked away in shame. "Tei."

"Hey Lynn, look at me," Colby asks in a way that nearly sent me into shock. He didn't speak coldly or cruelly, and certainly not possessive. It was soft and kind and... younger. Slowly I return my gaze to him. "No more calling him that, okay? Let's call him 'T' since I think hearing his real name upsets Dai."

I place my fist over my mouth, but I don't know why. No more Tei? No Teivel? Just... T? No, no I couldn't do that, not to him. Not even if he...

Colby pats the open space in front of him, promptly inviting me. "Don't be alone when you cry. You called me your hero, yeah? So let me be just that. Come here."

I placed my fist down where Colby pat, relaxing my hand out. It was warm only where he touched, I swear it, so I myself have had enough too. "Only if you tell me why you're so warm."

Colby smiled to my surprise. "Only if you come here like I asked."

"Deal." I easily lay down and rest my head in the same warm spot Colby pat. I'd been lightly crying this entire time, so now that I was close enough to him he could wipe my tears away. I think his warm touch was becoming intoxicating.

"You mentioned the Angel of Water earlier," Colby started, quickly catching my attention. "That means you know about their titles."

Where was he going with this? "I was told about them, yeah."

Colby was now holding my face with his hand. "I've been a demon for a really long time, but I still remember my old title. I thought it no longer applied ever since I've been down here, but since you've shown up you've been proving me otherwise."

"I don't understand," I simply said, but his follow up was anything but simple.

"I used to be Colby, the Angel of Coal." He admitted to me, and it was absolutely shocking, but it made sense to me. When I first met him, I knew he was a demon but he was different than other demons I've seen. Now I know why.

I placed my hand over his gently. "Thank you for telling me the truth. Tei always kept secrets or lied about everything." I close my eyes to avoid crying even more because I'm extremely tired of doing it.

Colby stunned me next by pulling me close to him. "It's T, not Tei. You can do it Lynn, I believe in you."

"I can't." I buried my face in his warm and comforting chest. So much warmer than Tei. Less aggressive. Less... mind invading. I opened my eyes just to make sure Colby couldn't read my thoughts, but I don't think so.

"Then I'll hold you until you can," he offered, tightening his wrap around me. "You can talk about him all you want. Let it all out, it's the only way you're going to get over him."

I sighed in defeat, giving in. I waited until I finished crying for good before I began to tell Colby the story about a girl and her favorite person who was her best friend.
