I gave myself a week before I acknowledged reality. I stayed in bed, in the room Colby picked for us, for most of the time. A lot was on my mind and it was hard to process. I was no longer in the Domain. The Chosen One came for me.

Mel never left Daimon's side as she slowly taught him things about the New World. It was very much like a child constantly asking their mother, 'what's this?'. The first time Daimon came up from the basement, the questions increased ten fold. It was hard to take him seriously due to him keeping his pair of silver aviators on.

He was checking out the breakfast bar. "You eat on it?" He summed up Mel's quick explanation of it.

"Yes dear. Let's check out the rest of the house." Mel urged him on. Daimon stepped into the living room and looked all around. Megan was sat on the blue sofa, watching television.

"Are you sure those people are not in the box?" Daimon asked, observing the program.

"They are not in the box." Megan deadpanned.

"I was not asking you, imposter," Daimon scoffed at my blonde friend.

"My name is Megan, not imposter!" Megan retaliated. "Why do I have to keep repeating myself?"

Daimon opened his mouth, but suddenly he went crashing into the ground. Megan widened her eyes in confusion. "He deserved that one." I said. I've been sitting next to Megan this whole time. The show we are watching on TV is called Doctor Who. Megan claims it's one of her favorite shows, and it's also the source of that blue police box I remember seeing. She offered to introduce me to the series, and I said why not.

In my mind however, watching TV with Megan is the closest thing I have to remember my years of watching TV with my old love, and sometimes I would write the letters to Megan during my own favorite shows as a child.

I can hear Colby now. Aye, progress!

Mel taps her foot impatiently. "I'm growing tired of your childish behavior, Daimon."

"Did she just do that?" Megan asked, watching Daimon get up angrily. Before he could yell at Mel, Cas appeared in front of them, looking urgently at Megan.

"Another weapon has been revealed." He announced.

"Oh crap, really?" Megan responded, jumping up from her spot next to me. "I'll call Drew! Do you think Raphael will be there?"

"I know he will be. He sent agents after..." Cas stopped, looking around us all in the living room. "Myself, along with Dean and Sam Winchester."

"You said Sam?" I spoke up instantly. "Isn't he in the Cage?"

Cas shook his head. "Someone or something brought him out of the Cage shortly after he jumped in. He's been back the whole time you've been gone."

"You're serious?" I asked in growing excitement. "Sam's really back?"

"You're the one who's back, you know," Colby announced, coming down the stairs of the house with a familiar bottle of liquor in his hand. "Castiel, what's up bro?"

"Wait a minute is that-?" Megan recognized, but Cas stopped her abruptly.

"Colby, I need your help in acquiring stolen weapons from Heaven."

Megan narrowed her eyes at Colby as she whipped out a cell phone and made a call to Drew, I'm assuming. "Sure, I remember those," Colby nodded, dodging Megan's expression casually. "But uh, just one problem." He widened his blue eyes before blinking just once to reveal black demon eyes. "I'm not as good as I used to be."

"I saw you as soon as we met in the Domain," Cas admitted. "I always thought you to be dead after what happened, but this was done instead?"

"You don't know the half of it," Colby deadpanned, joining us on the sofa.

Cas frowned. "I'm sorry Brother. I still respect you and admire your strength from being a member of the Hev."

Colby instantly cringed as a lightbulb halfway went off in my head. "I've heard of the Hev, but I'm coming up blank."

"Wait-" Colby muttered.

"The Hev are an elite group of angels in Heaven who do all kinds of retrieval work, among other various assignments." Cas explained while Megan hung up her phone with a nod.

"Drew's coming," she let out as I placed my fist over my mouth. Just hearing the word 'assignment' lit up the other half of my lightbulb.

"Raquel is a member of the Hev." I finally remembered. I'm also intrigued that Colby was a member too. Why didn't he tell me?

"That's correct. You... met her?" Cas asked, tilting his head.

"We helped her defeat an angel named Sachiel." I admitted.

This appeared to be news to Castiel. "I see." He said quietly, as the sound of flapping wings announced Drew's arrival.

"Hey," he said quietly, stepping closer to Cas.

"Do you want us to all go?" Colby asked, leaning forward. I looked over at Mel, who shook her head slowly.

"I don't think he's ready," she motioned to Daimon, whose only interest at the moment were the people in the 'box' talking.

"We'll be fine without him." Megan said with a tone that suggested rudeness but I could tell she didn't mean it. She bit her lip really quickly but stopped after my brother's response.

"I do not want to help you, imposter."

"Nobody asked you for your help anyway!" Megan scowled at him. "Why are you such an ass?"

He lamely answered with, "Why are you such an imposter?"

"Daimon." Melgreth warned him.

"Can we go?" Megan turned to Cas irritably. He nodded at her. In unison, Colby and I get up from the sofa as Mel approached me with a slight bow.

"Please be safe, my Lady," she said warmly. "We will be here when you return. Colby, protect Lady Lynn with your life."

"Duh," Colby grinned, taking my hand. "Let's go."

Castiel zapped us away, and when we reappeared I was reunited with the Winchesters. "Hey!" I exclaimed, squeezing Colby's hand.

"Hey Lynn," Dean said with a growing smile. "Cas said you went to Hell, huh?"

"It was hard," I told him, then looked over at Sam. He appeared different to me somehow, even though he looked exactly the same. I had a weird vibe that this was indeed Sam, but...

"New bodyguard boyfriend?" Dean interrupted, checking out Colby.

"That's right," Colby rubbed under his nose. "Name's Colby."

"These are my friends, Megan and Drew." I introduced the quiet pair behind us.

"Wait, Megan?" Dean repeated.

"The Chosen One?" Sam realized. "The girl Cas told us about?"

"That's me," she stepped up to show herself. Sam nodded at her and Dean politely shook her hand.

"For a chosen one, you look pretty normal." Dean noticed.

"Thanks?" Megan said, raising an eye and looking around. "Cool mansion." She noticed, causing us all to finally check out the area. We were in the yard of a white mansion, but it could be tan. The lighting here is bad, and it's getting dark on top of it.

"Should we split up? What are we looking for?" I asked.

"You three go ahead. Us humans will stick together for this one." Megan said half jokingly, but found herself with Drew, Dean and Sam anyways. The Human Gang, I'll call them.

Colby and I followed Cas into the mansion, where the sound of a frog croaking grew louder as we reached the foyer, along with party music. THERE'S A FROG ON THE STAIRCASE. "Who lives here?" Colby asked.

"I believe Balthazar has been staying here, and he's possibly the one who stole the weapons." Cas answered, pushing open a double door right of the stairs, where the source of the music was. I saw a massive black piano, and the entire room lit up from multi-colored flashing party lights.

"Balthazar?" Colby muttered under the music. "You mean our..."

The double doors closed behind us and they locked themselves. Cas pulled out an angel killing sword from his coat, prompting Colby to do the same. It was still clear as day to me watching Colby defeat Coy and take his sword. I'm the only one without a weapon, but I've never needed one before.

"Cas," a male voice trumps the music. "You're here and you brought the party I see."

Someone's standing by the piano. He stood just slightly shorter than Cas, dressed in an all black suit. It was vaguely dark in here so his hair might have been short and brown or blonde.

"Balthazar." Castiel confirmed for us.

"It's so good to see you," Balthazar snapped his fingers, ending the party lights and music. Normal lighting flooded the room and everything was more visible now, even Balthazar.

"I grieved your death," Cas pointed out harshly. "What are you doing here?"

"You're the one traveling with another dead brother of ours," Balthazar reminded him, acknowledging Colby. "You'll have to tell me how you faked your death that good."

"I didn't," Colby spoke to him. So Balthazar must be a fellow angel. "I ended up in Hell."

What in the world happened to Colby that I didn't know about? In the Domain we promised to never keep secrets from each other, so why was he doing exactly the opposite?

"I see," Balthazar smirked. "You're welcome to kick it with me."

"Balthazar, you stole the Staff of Moses." Cas announced angrily.

Balthazar nodded in confirmation. "I stole a lot of things."

"We need your help." Cas pleaded.

"Oh, I know. I've been hearing all about it, and as far as I'm concerned Cas, nothing's changed. We're brothers. Of course I'll help."

"Thank you. I need the weapons." Cas decided instantly.

"Don't ask that." Balthazar scoffed.

"Why did you steal the weapons?" I asked him, just so I could get my voice out there. "I'm Lynn, by the way."

"Interesting group you've acquired Cas," Balthazar said jokingly. "Hybrids and dead brothers."

"Wait until you meet the rest of my family," I said cheekily. Colby grinned from my side. "Now about those weapons?"

Balthazar sighed. "I stole them because I could. Cas made it possible. I'm just following in his footsteps. Stopping the Apocalypse? All the rebelling you did? It's a new era. No rules, no destiny. Just utter and complete freedom."

"Sounds fun," Colby encouraged.

"So this is what you do with your freedom?" Cas growled. "Heaven's under a civil war! We can beat Raphael and end this if you give me the weapons."

Balthazar roared with laughter. "The fighting will never stop. Grab something valuable and fake your death too."

"You're crazy," Cas decided. "Raphael will know you're here."

"I'm armed. Let him try." Balthazar warned. "Other than that, this has been fun. Good to see you Cas, even though you haven't changed. You too Colby, we must catch up soon."

Colby had a remark but got interrupted from a loud crack of thunder. Something was familiar about it... shouldn't there be lightning? Blue lightning?

"Was that you?" Balthazar asked us.

"Nope," Colby answered.

"That's my cue to leave. Tell Raphael to bite me." Balthazar advised, disappearing immediately.

"Great guy." I said quietly but with sarcasm. A freak lightning storm begins outside - there it is, finally. I heard a faint flap, drawing our attention across the room to see an angel appear. He too was dressed in all black.

"Please don't," Cas warned the angel, brandishing his angel blade. The enemy angel advanced on us without hesitation. "Brother, don't make me-" Cas prepared his blade.

Meanwhile, I made myself reappear in front of the angel. "Last chance." I offered, but he showed no signs of stopping. I sighed to myself, remembering Cas training me to do what must be done. The angel swung his sword at me, so I grabbed his arm to stop him, and that was the final touch. He engulfed in the light of his own Grace as I smited him.

"Why won't any of them listen?" Cas asked himself angrily. He got his answer when a familiar Archangel grabbed him from the back of his neck.

"They don't listen because their hearts are mine." Raphael announced, throwing Cas through the double doors we first entered in. Out of anger, I launched my attack. After everything Cas has done for me, I'll be damned if I let him get treated like this.

Raphael punched me in the face so hard I went straight down. Colby took his turn but Raphael blasted him back into the piano, crushing it. He might be out for the count. I stand up and go after Raphael, who kept bullying Cas with his kicks. "I don't think God will be bringing you back this time." Raphael sounded certain as he went to plunge an angel blade into Cas. I made it to the other side of the foyer just as Balthazar popped up behind Raphael.

"Hey!" The French accented angel yelled. "Look at my junk." He held out something in his hand, a strange blue crystal with white light inside.

"NO." Raphael said in growing horror. He reached out his arm but froze in place, and I had a small trigger to when Teivel stopped and dropped to the ground after we started the spell on him. Only this time Raphael didn't flop to the ground. He turned totally white and... melted? No, it looked like bits of salt.

Did Balthazar just turn an Archangel into a salt pile?

"You came back," Cas observed as I went to help him up. Raphael had beaten him pretty badly.

Balthazar shrugged. "Raphael will have to go looking for a new vessel. Should give us all a wonderful head start. Well, until next time guys."

"Next time?" Cas asked. I made sure he could stand by himself before I ran back into the piano room to fish out Colby from the mess. I was surprised to see that Megan and Drew were now in here, being the ones to dig him out of the debris.

"You really wanted to play it, or what?" Megan asked him jokingly.

"Always wanted to learn the piano, sure," Colby scoffed, wiping down his camo shorts. He glanced at me as he made his way over. "I'll do better next time."

"Not your fault," I shook my head. "Demon versus an Archangel will never go the way you want it to."

"We should get out of here," Megan suggested. "Dean said they have some unfinished business with Balthazar first, but I don't think we have to wait."

"Just a moment, please," I leave the piano room to where Raphael melted, and I saw Balthazar in a circle of holy fire. "You guys do what you have to do," I said to the others, finally looking at Balthazar. "Thank you." I told him earnestly. He did just save us all, you know.

Balthazar looked annoyed at the others but he did manage a small nod towards me. I nodded back and return to Colby and the other two, who were happy to zap us all back to Michigan.

"Wait, does that mean Raphael's dead?" Drew asked after I explained what happened with Balthazar and the crystal item.

"No, but it might be a while before he gets another vessel," I summed up. "Balthazar seemed sure he had time to go hide again."

"Maybe it's time to let everyone know you're back," Colby suggested. "If we've got time before Raphael recovers, I can't think of a better window than this."

"Since you're trying to make decisions for me, I'll make one for you. Go into our room so we can have a serious conversation." I found myself acting like Mel, even tapping my foot on the ground with my arms crossed over my chest.

"I wasn't trying-" Colby sighed, putting his hands in his pockets and dragging his feet across the living room and up the stairs.

"Everything okay?" Megan asked me cautiously.

"Yes, thank you. Just something I need to clear up." I answered her, heading for the stairs.

"I'll uh, let Mel know we're back," Drew offered, using his cane to guide him into the kitchen.

"Thanks," Megan said to him, almost avoiding making eye contact with the kitchen.

"I'm sorry you and Daimon can't get along," I said quietly, going upstairs. "I'll have a talk with him about it."

"Nah, that's okay!" Megan declined quickly. "Maybe we can be friends one day."

"Maybe," I agreed before I head down the hallway to our bedroom on the right. Megan said we could decorate our room however we wanted, so the first thing Colby did was swap the bed with a waterbed. What trend have I started?

In our room, Colby was sitting on the reading nook while looking out the window at all the trees blocking any good view. "I'm in trouble, aren't I?" He asked without turning back.

"Just a little," I answered. "Why didn't you tell me you're one of the Hev?"

Colby sighed. "You didn't ask, and I'm not part of them anymore."

I growled internally. "Is there anything else I should know about you? Since you want to go against our agreement."

There was a minor-long silence before he said, "No." Promptly ending our conversation.

"If you say so. I'm gonna go check on Mel and Daimon." I decided, leaving Colby to himself as I exited our room. To try to remove these bad feelings, I forced myself to think about the upcoming reunions I would soon encounter.
