When we reappeared, I was unsure of our location, but I knew we were standing in the hallway of some kind of apartment building. The floor was carpeted grey and stained from old age and wear and tear. Each dark brown apartment door was evenly spaced between each other. The one we stood in front of read, '343'.

Colby lightly tapped his knuckles on the door. Merely a few seconds later I heard a chain come undone as well as the main lock turn. The door opened and there was a fraction of the angel Balthazar's face being shown to us.

"Told you I'd be right back," Colby sounded a bit cocky. He was still holding my left wrist.

"Right, right. Hurry up then." Balthazar opened the door all the way and stepped aside for us to trail in. "Lovely to see you again Miss Logan."

"I don't recall telling you my last name when we met." I remembered this for absolute sure.

"Ah, right you are. About that..." Balthazar gave a very obvious but concerning look towards Colby.

"It'll all get explained really soon," Colby reassured. "Balthazar has a photo I need you to look at."

"Alright." I'm extremely confused but Colby said this was an emergency, so I have to play along. Balthazar pulls out a polaroid from his black waist coat and extends his arm out to me. I accepted the photograph, immediately inspecting it.

There were two young girls standing together, arms wrapped over each others' shoulders. The girl on the left was rather short for how she looked. Her eyes were small and brown, her hair as dark as Tei's was. She wore all black, a tee with sweatpants.

The girl on the right was taller than the other, bearing large brown eyes that were strikingly familiar to me, as well as the rest of her features. Her hair was so blond it was nearly white. Once I noticed the minor parted bangs I knew exactly who this was.

"Why do you have this photo of my human mother?" I demanded, looking back up at Balthazar angrily. I'll be damned if my deceased mom Lindsay had any connection to the angels or even demons - other than myself.

"It's not my photo," Balthazar simply replied. "Come on then, she's in here. Feeling a bit better than before but... eh." He shrugged and turned from us, starting down a long apartment hallway and stopped at the one of the bedrooms.

I looked back down at the photo. If this isn't Balthazar's photo, and it certainly wasn't Lindsay's...

My eyes cast upon the girl in all black. A strange feeling came over me. I began to go after Balthazar, following him into the bedroom after he gently opened the door. A dim table lamp was lit up in the far left corner of the room. On the opposite corner was a large bed that held up a woman laying on it.

A pregnant woman.

Balthazar stepped over to the bed, kneeling down to get closer to the woman with closed eyes. "Keri," he whispered. "Lynn Logan's here to see you."

The woman opened her eyes, revealing them to be small and brown. There was no mistake - this was the girl in the photo with my mom.

Balthazar got back up to give the lady space. I slowly approached. "Hello," I said weirdly. "You knew my mom?"

The woman who looked sickly frowned. "Knew?" She repeated hoarsely.

"She was murdered." I decided to tell her.

The woman's face fell. "No... Amy too?"

She knows Lindsay's sister as well? Who was this lady anyway? "Aunt Amy is fine." I reassured her.

"Joanna?"

"Are we related?" I decided to ask. "Joanna is my grandma and you seem to know us all."

She shook her head. "My adopted parents were friends with your grandma Joanna. I... was friends with Amy and Lindsay." She sighed, laying her head back down on her pillow. She slowly moved her hands and placed them over her stomach.

"There's a problem," Balthazar began. "The child is constantly feeding off her power to grow, but most of her Grace is gone so before Keri even gives birth the child will kill her."

I just stared, completely unable to register anything he said.

Balthazar glared at Colby. "Did you not tell her anything?"

"Nope."

The French angel scowled, ushering me over. I listened and got closer to him and the woman Keri. "Lynn, this is Keri Rivers. She's a Nephilim but most of her Grace is gone."

"Is that why I haven't sensed anything from her?" I realized. To me she was just a normal but kind of sickly looking pregnant human woman. "How's it possible for a Nephilim to not have most of their Grace?"

Balthazar gave another cross look to Colby. "Bro, she's trustworthy. She's started her own Flock of Nephilim already."

"What does that mean?" I wondered.

Balthazar shook his head. "That's not important. What's important is we need to get Keri the rest of her Grace back to her, so she and the child are safe."

"I'll do anything to help," I suddenly blurted out.

"Excellent," Balthazar said happily. "I know just what you can do."

I urged him on with widening green eyes.

"I understand you've been granted access to Heaven before," he started. "I need you to do that again, only this time you need to sneak into Heaven's Jail and bail out a particular angel."

This request was insane already. "Which angel?" I asked anyway.

"His name is Ciar, the Angel of Black," Balthazar replied. "However he's known as something utterly terrifying."

Couldn't scare me more than Tei could, I bet. "What is it?"

"The Extractor," Balthazar named. "To better suit you, Grace Extractor. He can remove, insert, bend, twist, pull, come whatever may, to any angel's Grace. An excellent torturer and retriever."

"Even an Archangel?" I dared ask, remembering Raquel threatening Oro to free the Extractor. He absolutely wanted to avoid that. But Oro was dead now per Megan. Good riddance.

"Oh yes." Balthazar confirmed.

"Is that why he's locked up? Too dangerous?" I assumed.

"Well that, but he got put there for having her," Balthazar pulled a fresh blanket over Keri, who'd fallen asleep.

"Having her?" I repeated. "As in... she's his child?"

"Correct. Technically, Nephilim are most forbidden among us. He just got caught I suppose." Balthazar explained. "He was always obsessed with his self-image, so he had her named after him. Keri, Nephilim of Ciar's Heir."

I now gushed at Keri, watching her sleep. She was another child of an angel. Like Danny and Mindy. Like Drew. Myself and Daimon even. Plus, she knew my human family.

I'll protect her too.

"Maybe I can talk to Cas about it first," I suggested. "I'd rather do that over planning some kind of heist in Heaven."

"Aw man," Colby pouted. "That sounds so fun though."

Balthazar shook his head. "He doesn't know about Keri and I'm keeping it that way."

"Cas is reliable and trustworthy," I argued, but inside I knew how he felt. Cas knew about Drew obviously, but nobody knew about my cousins other than myself and Colby. Shouldn't I take my own words to heart?

"No."

"Balthazar-"

"No."

"Hey," a soft and raspy voice rambled from the bed. "Zar, it's okay."

"Keri," Balthazar sighed. Did she just call him 'Zar'? I found myself smiling a little bit. "If you're found out, they'll want you dead and they'll most likely pop off Ciar too."

"Cas won't let that happen," I intercepted. "Isn't he in charge now up in Heaven?"

"Do what she says," Keri said to Balthazar. He gave us all a look similar to the annoyed one he shared when he was trapped in the holy fire.

"Fine. Just get Ciar here as quickly as you can."

"I will," I softly gazed at Keri. "I'll be back."

"You look like your dad," she said before she returned to sleep, her hands drooping down from her stomach. That hurt my heart in a good way. Even though the truth was, Angie looks like her daddy. I shook my head and stepped away from the bed, nodding at Colby.

"Know how to get a hold of Cas?"

Colby zapped us to another new place, this time outside. "Are we at a coffee store?" I realized, Colby practically dragging me inside the little shop.

"Coffee is one way to get on Ciar's good side," Colby admitted as we approached a counter. "Megan told me about this place. It's not too far from her safe house actually." He waited patiently for a cashier to greet us for our order. Colby ordered a plain black hot coffee and some kind of hot tea. When it was my turn, I gulped. I missed having warm coffee in the mornings with Tei in the Germany house.

I wanted to smack myself harshly. Tei murdered my family. Tei took away important people from my elder brother. The Germany house was erased by a crazy cult. Accept the truth.

What is there to miss? Carrie's question ran ragged in my brain, and my unwanted but honest answer to her was what ate me up even more. I didn't miss any of those things, I just missed Teivel.

God damn it.

"Iced coffee with sugar," was what I decided on. While our drinks were being made, I asked Colby, "You seem to know Ciar, seeing as you know he likes coffee. What's he like?"

"He's good at his job, I'll say that," Colby answered. "I personally hate him, but I've worked with him a lot during my angel-life. He can be cranky but smart. Maybe even a little bit like Balthazar - those two used to be buddies."

"I believe it," I chuckled. "So what about asking Cas?"

"He's meeting us here," Colby admitted. "I texted him a while ago."

"Interesting," I scratched my head, wondering where my cell phone was. "Have you heard from Alice?"

"Yeah. Your kitten is unclaimed and she's gonna nurse him to full health. I already told her you're gonna take him."

"You did?" I blurted at the same moment Cas appeared next to us. I immediately looked around, but luckily no one seemed to notice how the trench coated angel appeared out of nowhere.

"Interesting place to meet," Cas spoke. Didn't I just say that?

"Better than a bar or a run down motel the Winchesters prefer," I teased with a shrug.

Our drinks were ready. Colby went to get them from the pickup counter when Cas asked, "What's going on?"

I ushered Cas to sit down at a booth. Colby joined us, sliding me my iced coffee. I readied the straw and took a sip. Strong with a hint of sweet - just the way I like it. "I need you to let me into Heaven, Cas," I started the request as normal-sounding as I could.

"That shouldn't be a problem, but what for?" Cas did that one thing where he tilts his head.

"We need to borrow Ciar, long story short," Colby interrupted. "Then you can lock him right back up. Drew can keep him in line if he tries anything."

I nodded in agreement. A Nephilim was easily stronger than any angel, I learned.

"Ciar?" Cas repeated. "What do you need him for?"

"He's got some Grace we need," I admitted.

"From an angel?" Cas assumed.

"Sure," Colby answered, sipping his tea.

"I see..." Castiel seemed to ponder. "Very well. I trust you to oversee Ciar while he's out, but you're to bring him right back to his cell when you're finished."

"Sure thing, bro," Colby reassured.

"Colby, I'm sorry but because you're a demon, you can't enter Heaven." Cas announced. "However, I will have Drew accompany Lynn."

"Fair enough." I looked forward to the semi-alone time with Drew. He was so handsome to look at when he wasn't paying attention.

"Bring him to where we were before," Colby instructed me, understanding we now had to part ways. After we all got up from the booth, Colby came close to me, holding the right side of my face with his left hand before he pulled me in for a kiss. It was embarrassing for me because I had never kissed anyone in front of Cas before. Plus, even though Tei and I only shared one kiss, he was still better than Colby unfortunately. I could never tell him this though. What partner would?

"Be safe. I love you." Colby whispered to me. He must be keen on embarrassing me to death.

"I love you too," I said back, before Colby disappeared. I turned to Cas and half-smiled. "To Drew's?"

He nodded. "To Drew's."

Brooklyn, New York

This was the first time in over a year that Drew's Mom had seen me. "You're alive!" She gawked when we suddenly appeared in that same old motel style living room. Why hadn't Drew moved his mom into Megan's (much larger and nicer) safehouse? "Drew said you were back, so I was wondering when you'd show your face again," Drew's Mom continued. "How are you?"

"I'm okay, how are you Miss Copperfield?" I replied, nodding at Drew who was relaxing on his bed.

"Please, call me Jane," Drew's Mom insisted. Finally I put a name to Drew's Mom - Jane Copperfield.

"What is it this time?" Drew asked, acknowledging that Cas was with me.

"I need you for protection," I said simply. God, don't let Colby or Tei hear me say that to another male.

"What do you mean?" Drew asked as Jane took my comment to heart.

"Look at you sweetie, you've got strong angel girls asking you to protect them." She gushed.

Drew went red in the face while he got up from his bed, reaching for his cane. "Where are we going?" He asked loudly.

"Heaven." Cas answered. "Lynn will be leading this mission. I have many other matters to attend to." He added. "Lynn, when you're ready to return, just think about it and you'll leave Heaven easily. Colby will know how to notify me afterwards."

"I understand," I looked at Drew. "Ready? Don't worry, this won't end with us running into the Devil."

Drew shook his head sarcastically as Castiel snapped his fingers. Things here were mostly white, especially the wall we were facing. "This way, slow-brains." I heard a vaguely familiar quiet but kind of squeaky voice. Drew and I faced the same way and saw the same person - a short young woman with brown eyes and white hair with no bangs.

"Raquel," I realized. The Angel of Lamb.

She nodded at us. "Hello again, Lynn." She looked at Drew with widening eyes. "You've got Metalhead Junior with you this time. Very interesting company you keep."

"Family, not company," I corrected her, looking at Drew with a sense of love I hoped he wouldn't think was intimate. I did include him into my family, or Flock as Colby suggested before. At the same time, I still had those original attractions to him, even though I hadn't the slightest clue how he felt towards me.

I recalled the photo of the blonde girl at Drew's place. Whoever she was held deep meaning to Drew, but I never had the nerve to ask him about that or anything at all. I liked him so much but hardly knew anything about him.

Huh, that sure sounds familiar. I think I've developed a type... how sickening.

"You knew my father Brap?" Drew asked the angel before us.

She nodded. "Of course. Brap was one of us, a Hev. We all called him Metalhead."

Brap was a Hev? So was Colby; did he know Brap? If so, did he know who Drew was? If he didn't know, wouldn't he be excited to find out?

"Because he was the Angel of Metal?" Drew assumed.

"Sure," Raquel said. "But he was very good at his job. He collected rare metals for Heaven all over the planets."

"...plural?" Drew realized.

"Oh yes. Metalhead was so good he could search nearly anywhere." Raquel admitted. "His death was tragic to the Hev. However... you are his son, and you are stronger. We would love to have you join us and resume his work. Really... you could probably create new planets with metals for you to harvest for us."

I cannot believe Raquel just invited Drew to the Hev. Wasn't he already under Cas?

Drew shook his head. "No thanks. Let's stick to why we're here."

The Angel of Lamb nodded. "Castiel informed me you need to free the Extractor," Raquel said to me. "I'm here to guide you to his cell and I'm the one who will unlock and re-lock it when you return him."

"Fair enough, lead the way," I waved her on. I realized the opposite side of us contained cells up and down. Drew and I followed Raquel until we reached the correct cell. "This is the one?"

She nodded.

I looked at Drew. I could tell he didn't want to approach the angel behind bars. I gave him a reassuring smile before I stood close to the cell bars. "Hello in there." I called out.

The angel was facing away, but I could still see the back side of him. He looked a little short, being anywhere from my height to mere inches taller. His hair was black and went down to the back of his neck. I waited patiently for him to decide to turn around to face me.

"Who are you?" He narrowed his small brown eyes as he fully inspected me head to toe. My God, if Keri had been male, she would be his twin. There was no denying they were father and child.

"I am Lynn Logan," I introduced. "A child of Lucifer. I'm accompanied by a Nephilim whose angel parent was Brap, the Angel of Metal."

The angel acknowledged all the names. "Metalhead fathered a Nephilim?"

Instantly I looked at Raquel. "Is he part of the Hev?" I wondered.

"He is." She confirmed. "We named him the Extractor."

"Is that you, Lamb?" Ciar asked from his cell. "Have you learned to forgive yet?"

It sounded like it was supposed to be a joke, but I didn't get it. Raquel simply rolled her eyes. "We're here to let you out, Ciar. You're on assignment under Lynn. Metalhead Junior is accompanying her in case you attempt anything funny."

Ciar came close to the bars, so I could see his face clearer. His vessel seemed to be a man possibly in his early thirties. "Interesting," he said quietly. "What is the assignment?" He now looked at me and asked.

Raquel proceeded to unlock Ciar's cell. "I'll leave that for you guys. I'll be here when it's time to put him back in." After the cell opens, Raquel disappears.

Drew finally acknowledged what Raquel said about his job, so he stepped over to me as I pulled open the cell door all the way. I stepped back near Drew so Ciar could come out. Casually the angel crept out, acknowledging us. "I believe I'm at your service, child of Lucifer." He said simply. "Times have certainly changed. What do you need?"

"You're coming with us out of here, first of all." I bravely approached him, placing my hand on his right shoulder as I swung over onto that side. I looked at Drew, nodding. I followed Cas' suggestion and thought about going back to Balthazar's apartment.

Like magic, the three of us were suddenly there. Ciar looked around, unimpressed. "Ciar," I said. "Do you know where your daughter's Grace is?"

The Angel of Black seemingly choked. "Have you seen my daughter?"

"I have."

I heard a door open, and Colby's footsteps thudding towards us. "Does she look like her mother?" Ciar asked in amazement.

"I think she looks like you," I answered honestly. "But she's sick and needs her Grace."

"She should not need her Grace," Ciar deduced. "I left her enough to survive on, and she would not be detected by angels. Unless... is she with child?"

"She is," Colby made his appearance, handing the untouched hot coffee to Ciar. "Present for you."

Ciar was too shocked to accept the coffee at first. "In my father's name, is that you, Colby?"

"Sure is," Colby said sourly. "As much as I want to kill you, I'm keeping it cool because your daughter is in the other room."

Ciar gasped. "Keri is here?" He seemed to ignore Colby's remark, along with the coffee offering. With his right hand he pulled open the top of his shirt. With his left hand he reached down. I knew he was wearing a necklace, but all you could see was the grey thread around his neck. He pulled out a small crystal that was glowing faintly and was latched onto the grey thread.

That glowing crystal looked very familiar. Sometimes I noticed Megan wearing practically the same thing. "Is it safe for her to have her Grace? Is she still being hunted by Heaven?"

"No way," I denied. "Cas is in charge now, and he's trying to stop Raphael."

Ciar sighed. "If it's safe, I will return her Grace. Take me to her... please. Everything I have ever done was for her safety."

I noticed Drew was welling up. I felt for Ciar too. He seemed like a caring father. My human dad was too and I missed him. Drew on the other hand never knew his, so he would never know what it was like. I felt sorry for him, it seemed like he had been through so much already for his young age. I understood very well.

"This way," I guided Ciar down the little hallway to the bedroom door, knocking before I entered. "Balthazar? I've brought him like you asked."

"Balthazar?" Ciar repeated in absolute excitement. "Is that you, old pal?"

"It sure is," I had never seen Balthazar smile the way he did at Ciar. "Good to see you."

Ciar noticed the adult woman sleeping in bed. He almost appeared to be crying. "You've kept your promise, Balthazar. You kept her safe."

"I did." Balthazar nodded. "Do you have her Grace?"

"Right here, so you may want to step back, old pal." Ciar advised. "All of you, step back as well."

I didn't notice that Drew and Colby had followed me. We all stepped back, and Colby wrapped his arms around my waist from behind me. "We're better off standing behind Drew. Well, me at least."

"I won't even ask," I forced us behind Drew. Balthazar squeezed over by us.

"Watch the Extractor in action." Colby said with a drop of sarcasm. Regardless, we were all watching. Ciar leaned over the bed, right over Keri's head and chest.

"I wish your mother were here to see you," Ciar whispered to Keri. "She would be thrilled to be a grandparent, that's what it's called right? I'm here to make sure both you and the child are safe, for your mother's sake."

Next, Ciar yanked free his necklace, holding the crystal in his hand. He waved his open hand up and down over Keri's body, finally centering on her chest. Then his eyes began to glow, first brown because of his eyes, then they slowly turned black. Not like a demon's eyes, more like bright obsidian.

A strange shadowy figure starts forming over Ciar but slightly behind him. When Ciar starts to press down the crystal into Keri's chest, she immediately opened her eyes and started screaming. Instantly I wanted to lunge towards them, but Colby's hold on me kept me immobile. Drew gulped.

"It's alright," Balthazar reassured us. "It'll be over soon."

Ciar pushed the entire crystal inside, and the shadowy figure behind him turned out to be his wings slowly spreading out. Beautiful and incredible.

Keri didn't seem to resist even though she kept yelling in pain. Maybe she recognized her own power returning to her. Maybe she even recognized Ciar.

Ciar muttered a few words in Enochian which caused the entire room to engulf in a pure white glow. Both Colby and I groaned for probably the same thing - the white glow was causing us a burning pain. This could be what Colby meant before by staying away.

Though blind, I felt Colby hug me tighter from behind. In front of me, someone wrapped their arm around my neck in an effort to shield me. I felt warm from Colby's touch but now I thought I could smell... rust.

The white glow faded away, and an embarrassing scene unfolded. Colby was still holding my waist from behind, and Drew was the one who hugged me from the front. His eyes were closed and his head was over mine, leaving my face in his chest just under his neck. He was taller than Colby so I wasn't used to this, but it was nice.

I heard Ciar sigh and Balthazar cleared his throat. "Bro," Colby said in instant annoyance to Drew. "What the hell are you doing?"

"Sorry, I heard you guys hurting and I didn't know how to help," Drew apologized as he pulled away from us.

"Thank you," I said warmly to him. The odd rust smell was strangely calming.

"Yet she's the only one you helped, holding her the way you did." Colby said cruelly.

"That's not even what I-" Drew started to argue, but I held my hand up to interrupt them both. I looked deeply at Colby with disappointing eyes. I had never truly acknowledged it until I was with Colby, but thanks to Tei, possessiveness and jealousy was something I could spot out easily.

I hated it. And I hated what I had to do next. I spin around to face Colby and I headbutt him as hard as I could. I didn't feel anything, but Colby went smacking to the floor. "Damn." Balthazar let out.

I waited for Colby to get himself up. He looked at me with a mix of emotions. "I didn't escape a jealous and manipulative relationship just to end up in another one." I scolded him. "I hate to do this where we're at, but you're making me do it. Drew and I are friends, that's what I know. If that were to ever change, you will be the first to know. Can you please stop acting the way you have?"

The entire room was silent. Colby rubbed his forehead where I hit him, then he disappeared before my eyes. I sighed and turned back around. Ciar was looking over Keri's bed. She looked to be fast asleep and not in pain. "How is she?" I asked.

"She will be fine," Ciar seemed promising. He looked over Keri one more time before he walked over to Drew and I. "I believe I am ready to go back now. It's better if Keri doesn't see me."

For some reason, I didn't want him to return to his jail cell. "Could I possibly convince Cas to let you stay with us?" I wondered. "Or even return to the Hev. You're powerful, Ciar. You could be, you know... handy."

The Angel of Black smirked. "I would love nothing more than to resume my duties and keep my daughter safe."

"If Cas let you out... he might be convinced." Balthazar input. "So, we need Colby back I suppose. I'll summon him." He went across the room towards the dim lit lamp, where a small bowl of ingredients lay. Mel was right before and Balthazar was the one who summoned Colby away.

"He's still as immature as ever," Ciar noticed. "Could somebody tell me how he's even alive right now? Even though it's been many, many years, I clearly recall Raueriel reporting that he was killed in action by that annoying demon Angry Rylie."

Rylie? I knew that name. From where? Megan. He was looking for the Elemental Tablets and Megan helped Cas stop him. Crowley killed him. Thinking of the tablets once more caused me to remember what Mel said about them in the Domain. It hit me so hard I almost gasped.

Someone she knew was looking for the tablets. That someone was Daimon's pai. I don't know his name because they always addressed him as pai.

Are Rylie and pai the same demon? Is he truly dead?

My thoughts on that matter went unfinished due to returning to what Ciar said. Colby was killed by Rylie? Angel-Colby, for that matter?

"Why did he kill Colby?" I found myself asking. I doubt he would tell me himself. All of this information was new to me.

Ciar looked at me. "Do you know what Colby's job was when was in the Hev?" He asked me.

"Not a clue. He's been keen on keeping anything from me if it comes to his past life as an angel." I admitted.

"I swear," Balthazar scowled as he readied the summoning spell. "It's that vessel he's in. Letting all those human teenager feelings corrupt him."

"Colby was a very excellent member of the Hev," Ciar chuckled. "He was known as Prophetguard. He would protect any human prophet he was assigned to with his life. He never failed a prophet and never failed an assignment until his very last one. He took possession of a teenage human boy, and guess who the prophet was?"

I looked at him in wonder. Balthazar glanced at Keri sleeping.

"A teenage human girl," Ciar filled in the blanks. "Let's see, what happened next Balthy? Colby fell madly in love with that girl and got both of them killed for it."

"Sounds like our boy." Balthazar agreed.

I gulped as I grew nervous, even slightly betrayed. I wasn't angry that there was another girl before me, I'm angry that he didn't tell me. He expected me to tell him everything about Tei and I, but couldn't tell me anything about whoever she was?

Ciar checked on Keri. "Does Colby know who she is?"

Balthazar nodded. "I had to tell him so he would enlist Lynn's help."

"Is she someone special?" I found myself asking them, also looking over at Sleeping Beauty- I mean Keri.

"She's the only descendent left of Colby's lover girl." Balthazar admitted to me.

"I suppose that is why he wants to kill me," Ciar said lamely. Balthazar struck a match he made appear and tossed it into the bowl. A moment later we heard a poof, and Colby reappeared before us.

"Done pouting?" Balthazar asked him. "Your girlfriend wants to keep Ciar with you guys, so good luck convincing Cas."

"What the hell for?" Colby demanded. "You're awful, Ciar. You belong in the Jail."

Ciar narrowed his thin eyes. "As did you for breaking the rules. Yet here we both are, brother."

Colby ignored him, looking at me. "Have Drew take you guys back."

Drew had been silent this entire time until now. "To the jail cell?" He guessed.

"You can do it," I encouraged, walking over to grip Ciar's shoulder. "Ready?"

Ciar looked at Keri a final time, then at me, then he scowled at Colby. "Do you even love this girl, Colby? Or is she just a pretty replacement for Adrie?"

Colby replied in a tone that frightened me. "Don't ever say her name again."

Ciar didn't speak. Nobody said a word.

After a few moments, Colby said, "I'll let Cas know you're heading back." He was avoiding eye contact with me. I did the same because I'd probably melt him with just my angry-filled eyes. I looked at Drew with a slight nod and a faint shred of sadness. Drew returned the nod and zapped the three of us away.

So her name was Adrie.
