Welcome back to another oneshot for another series I have in the works. This series for my OTP, dragonslayer. I hope you enjoy this oneshot for... Chunibyo Yang.
The dark cloudy sky roared loudly high above the barren field. Two warriors stood, a warrior who has been said to have been blessed by the gods with incredible battle prowess. And, a mighty dragon. But make no mistake, this was no ordinary dragon for as this warrior would not have been sent to deal with a mere nuisance.
No, this dragon that this warrior was sent to conquer was no other than the great Sun dragon herself. The mighty Yang Xiao-Long. The descent of the mighty Tai Xiao-Long, Consumer of Twelve Armies. And here stood her most fiercest opponent. They stared each other down, circling, awaiting for whomever strikes first. It doesn't matter who strikes first, for Yang Xaio-Long, Destroyer of Livestock, Spawn of Tai Xiao-Long, The Mighty Sun Dragon, will not be defeated by a mere mo-
"MISS XIAO-LONG, WOULD YOU PLEASE STOP YOUR MONOLOGUING! IT HAS BEEN TWELVE MINUTES. CLASS IS NOT DISMISSED UNTIL THE SPAR IS OVER. YOU HAVE YET TO START!"
Oh yea, she forgot. She's currently in a spar. Not a death match. Well, she could make it one.
"I wasn't monologuing. I was monologuing, internally." Yang stated in a matter of factly tone.
Miss Goodwitch simply deadpanned as she brought a hand to her face.
"I'm using my vacation time tonight. Miss Nikkos, please drop the courteous act and end the match already."
"With pleasure." said her opponent.
"Oh, so you'r- CLANG- HEY! I was talking." Yang shouted, holding her "scaly" face. A couple of her 'scales' falling to the floor.
"If you fought more than you talked, you probably would have won a match against me." teased the redhead.
Yang slammed her tail on the ground angrily. With a growl, she charged at the spartan.
A quick salvo of shotgun pellets caused Pyrrha to raise her shield to block, which gave Yang the opportunity to close the distance with the assistance of Ember Celica.
BANG BANG
Two more shots were let off onto Pyrrha's shield. Yet, she still held. That simply wouldn't do. A fury of punches were laid upon the object separating her first and Pyrrha's body. Having enough of her attempts to break her defense, it was time for an offense.
Shoving her opponent off her shield, Pyrrha unloaded a fury of strikes of her own. Slash after slash, Yang's aura was chipped as she tried defending herself.
With Yang on the defense, the sword was shifted into a spear, increasing the spacing between them. With the distance increasing, the effectiveness of her weapons were being diminished. Exactly what she wanted. A toss of her shield finally gave her the opportunity to get the distance she needed to finish the fight. With a backflip, she caught her shield and transformed her weapon into a rifle.
BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG
Pyrrha unloaded the entire clip into Yang, each shot staggering her closer to the edge of the ring. But she held firm, dazed but firm.
"That's the best you got. Let me show you how it's done."
With a yell, Yang propelled herself to Pyrrha with her gauntlets. Once she closed the distance, she unleashed hell onto her.
Aura enhanced punches were sent in rapid succession, each bone breaking punch hitting Pyrrha in the body. She's strong, she'll give her that.
But she's called the 'Invincible Girl' for a reason.
Siding stepping a punch, Pyrrha stomped on Yang's tail, her full weight on her heel that was dug into the scaly tail. Next, she grabbed Yang's forearm and threw her over her shoulder, a painful thwack was heard, even from the stands. Still gripping her arm, she spun the brawler around and threw her out of the ring. Yang crashed through the wall, dust coming from rubble.
"Miss Xiao Long is o-"
"OI!"
All heads turned to the frizzled girl, one of her horns being burnt and bent. The other horn being offset crookedly. Miss Goodwitch only sighed in annoyance at Yang's antics.
"I didn't hear no bel-" DING
She was silenced by a throw of a shield, which returned to its owner.
"There's your stupid bell, you stupid overgrown wannabe lizard." said Pyrrha as she walked off the sparring ring.
"Team RWBY, would you please collect your teammate and check her into the infirmary. While brain damage is not of a concern with her, it will do you well if she suffered a concussion."
"Yes Miss Goodwitch." Came a chorus reply from Team RWBY.
Beacons' cafeteria is nothing short of grand. Built after the Great War, its architecture was magnificent as the food served to the hundreds of defenders of humanity.
It is also where we find a group of friends talking.
"And then we were surrounded by a billion eels." said Noral.
"It was a King Taijitu." corrected Ren.
"And they shot lightning at us." the bubby girl continued.
"Lighting crystals were in place of its fangs." corrected the boy again.
As the conversation continued, a girl with red highlights turned to the redhead spartan from the spar.
"Did you really have to hit Yang with your shield? I mean, I know she can get a little too into it but was it necessary?"
"Ruby, you once told me how your sister fell from a tree, head first into a pile of stone. I think she'll be fine." replied Pyrrha.
"It's the principle. Isn't there some kind of warriors' honor?" asked Ruby.
"The only one who probably believes in that is Yang. Let's be honest, it fits if she does."
A girl in white spoke next, "She's right Ruby. Yang's delusional, if that hasn't already been apparent enough."
"Bliesssss," whined Ruby, "that's not nice to say about her. Even if it's true."
"Its fucking Weis-you know what, forget it. You're gonna keep saying it no matter how many times I correct you. I should have never told you that story."
Just then, the doors to the cafeteria slammed open. In walked a very unhappy looking faunus, whose tail was dragging across the floor. She took a seat next to a girl wearing a bow tie.
"How was the nurse?" asked Blake.
"She poked me with swords." replied Yang. "I'm hungry."
"Here Yang," said Jaune. "I got you fo-EEEE!"
A tail started the boy as the plate was grabbed by it and was brought towards the sulking faunus. She dove into the plate, literally. She started eating like a dog would a bowl of kebble.
"Um, Yang?" spoke Ruby, "Don't you have something to say?"
The only reply was the sound of meat being torn apart.
Blake made an attempt to grab the plate, only to be stopped by the threatening sounds of a low bellowing from the blonde. She wisely stopped her attempt at getting her to speak. Weiss on the other hand, was not phased by it.
"Bitch eat like a civilized person. You're not a dra-"
"I AM A DRAGON. SEE THIS TAIL. THESE HORNS. THESE SCALES. I'M A DRAGON!" proclaimed Yang.
"Yang how about we cal-ACK!" Jaune rose to speak but was grabbed by his neck by a golden tail.
"Jaune!" cried out Pyrrha in worry.
"Do not challenge me, knight. We may have made peace but that does not mean I have forgiven you." with that, she put him back down.
"Yang, look what I have."
Her attention turned to her sister who was holding something.
"That's right, it's raw chicken. C'mere, I know you want it."
Yang lowered herself to the ground as she crawled on all four to her sister, sitting like a dog would for a treat.
"Good girl. Now say you're sorry." commanded Ruby.
"I'm sorry." Yang said with a whine.
"Well, now that that's done, why don't we continue eating, yea?" suggested Jaune.
Soon the group returned to eating their meal.
Long after the school day ended, Yang walked into the Emerald Forest in search of her favorite spot. After a few minutes of walking, she finally reached her spot, a boulder that had a large chunk of it broken off, said piece was perfectly smooth and flat. Laying down on the ground, soaking up the sun's hot rays.
Taking her spot on the rock, Yang began to think about the day she had.
'Maybe I was too rough on him today. I shouldn't have lashed at him like that.'
"Well don't beat yourself up too much. After all, this is a new experience for you." said a a cheery high pitched voice.
Looking to her right shoulder, Yang saw a smaller version of Ruby.
"But I was too harsh, too rough with him. It's not the first time too. I don't think he will ever see me in the way that I do him." Yang said as she curled up tighter, her tail covering her face.
"Of course he does. Have you seen the looks he gives you. I know i do." said another voice.
Looking to her left shoulder, Yang saw another chibi version of her cat friend.
"It's obvious that the Tsundere method that I suggested is working. All signs point to it working." said Chibi Blake as she pulled out a graph chart titled.
"I hate you, stop corrupting my sister." yelled the Chibi Ruby at the Chibi Blake, who in turn, poked her tongue out at her.
As the two were bickering, Yang simply sighed and rested her head on her forearms.
'Maybe I should ask mom, she might have some knowledge in this.' thought Yang.
As she was in thought, her eyes spotted a trail of ants walking in front of her.'
'All this thinking has been making me a bit hungry.'
A long tongue quickly lashed out at the trail of ants, collecting them by the tens. As she was enjoying her snack, she felt a tingle go down her spine.
Her ahoge was twitching, so she knew it was real a threat.
As she was in deep thought, something tapped her shoulder. Turning to where she felt being tapped, she came face to face with her tail.
"What? What is it?"
Her tail answered by turning and pointing behind her. Looking where her tail was pointed, she was greeted by clouds turning gray, followed by quiet thunder.
"Uh oh."
The night sky above Beacon roared with thunderous booms. Lighting rained from the sky as if the Brother Gods were angry. But all of that was ignored by the sleeping defenders of humanity, or the future defenders of humanity.
One such aspiring defender was sleeping soundly, all cooped up in his cozy blue bunny onesie. That was until he felt something crawl up under his sheets. And he felt something prickly rub a bit against his body. Dare he look underneath and see the horror that awaits. Taking a deep breath, he lifted the covers and blue eyes met lilac eyes.
"Yang?"
Beacons resident self-proclaimed dragon, was laying on top of him, looking scared. Wait a minute, didn't Ruby say that she sle-
A hand quickly covered his mouth.
"SSSHHH. I need, I need your help."
"Help with what?"
He got his answer when a loud boom of thunder echoed through the room, Yang shivered. Curling up abit on his body.
"I'm…I'm afraid of thunder." she sighed. "Go ahead and laugh at me, but please do this favor for me."
She was surprised when arms wrapped around her. She looked up to him surprise, she opened her mouth to speak but Jaune beat her to it.
"I'm not one to judge, I'm the person to judge anyone. And don't worry, I won't tell anyone."
She smiled at him and moved closer up.
"But don't think of this anything more. I'll be gone before the morning light."
And true to her words, she was gone. But she did leave something for Jaune. When Jaune awoke, he felt a wet mark on face. But that was not the only thing she left for Jaune.
Unseen by normal eyes, Yang left something that many faunus considered intimate. She left behind her scent. Forever claiming Jaune….as hers.
