Hey, everybody. Back with another chapter.
Let's get to it.
MangoWango21: I've already shown a bit of this in The Odyssey.
Rico: Actually, yesterday, I finally created three new fighters for the Alliance, all of which are on the wiki. As for the Resistance becoming the Galactic Alliance, it won't happen, at least not before the end of the war. Now, could the resistance form the Galactic Alliance after the war to replace the New Republic, maybe.
Peter Hong Kong: Not familir with the J-Cadets or that novel series, so I'm not sure about that. However, any Resistance pilots can be trained on Terran fighters. I've seen some of the videos, and I'm trying to remedy all of the plot holes from the sequels in this story.
Chapter 11- Storm About to Break
(May 20, 2049, Starkiller Base)
Just like any other day, the secret First Order installation Starkiller Base is very busy. Now that the weapon is complete, the base's garrison of scientists, engineers, and controllers are running final tests on the weapon.
Deep within the main headquarters complex on the planet, in a large chamber used for meeting of the First Order's leadership, a secret meeting is underway. Standing in the center of the chamber on a small pedestal are two of the top people within the First Order: General Armitage Hux and the dark figure known as Kylo Ren. Meanwhile, on the far side of the chamber is a massive, towering hologram of the First Order's leader, Supreme Leader Snoke.
In his deep voice that strikes terror into the hearts of many, Snoke speaks and says, "The droid will soon be delivered to the Resistance, leading them to the hope of the Jedi. If Skywalker returns, the new Jedi will rise." His voice gets more dangerous at the end, and the anger on his face is clear.
Trying to remain calm and collected, General Hux says calmly, "Supreme Leader, I take full responsibility…"
"General!" Snoke abruptly cuts him off angrily, surging to his feet. He looks away from his two underlings before him as he mutters, almost to himself, "Our strategy must now change."
Hoping to placate Snoke, Hux speaks up again and says, "The weapon. It is ready. I believe the time has come to use it." He pauses, then says, "We can either destroy the government that supports the Resistance, the Republic, or destroy Naboo, the headquarters of the Terran Alliance in this galaxy. If we can cripple their allies, then we will stop the Resistance before they reach Skywalker."
"Go. We will destroy the Republic first. Oversee preparations, General," Snoke orders as he takes his seat again.
"Yes, Supreme Leader," Hux answers. He then turns and shares a look with Kylo Ren before he turns to leave the chamber.
Kylo remains where he is, and looks back up at the Supreme Leader as Snoke asks, "There has been an awakening. Have you felt it?"
Kylo is quiet for a moment before he simply responds, "Yes."
Snoke looks down at his apprentice for a moment before he speaks again, "There's something more. The droid we seek is aboard the Millenium Falcon, in the hands of your father: Han…Solo."
Kylo stands there, wrestling with his emotions and thoughts as he manages to respond to Snoke's statement, "He means nothing to me."
Snoke is not quite so convinced. "Even you, Master of the Knights of Ren, have never faced such a test," Snoke says, trying to see what kind of response Kylo will give.
Kylo stands there for a moment before he responds, "By the grace of your training and wisdom, I will not be seduced."
"Will you? Much of your family remains at large. Your sister remains at large, and I can sense her strength from wherever she is. And your cousin…he is growing in strength. He stands to become even stronger than his parents. Stronger than you. Perhaps he is who I should've chosen," Snoke says, a tone of contempt in his voice.
"I will let nobody stand in our way. They all mean nothing to me. Nobody will seduce me, or defeat me. Your training has made me strong," Kylo responds.
"We shall see, my young apprentice. We shall see," Snoke says in a low, dangerous tone before his hologram slowly fades.
Kylo Ren stands there, silent, his thoughts occupied with his father, Han Solo, and his cousin, Ben.
(D'Qar)
As the sun rises over the planet of D'Qar, the Resistance base built on the planet is busy. The Resistance is on maximum alert after the incident with Poe Dameron. Poe had been captured by the First Order, but managed to escape with the help of a deserting stormtrooper. Poe had been separated from the stormtrooper, but had managed to find a ride off of Jakku and had managed to return to D'Qar. Now, the entire Resistance is on high alert and engaged in the hunt for Poe's droid, BB-8, who had a piece of a map leading to Luke's location that Poe had received from Lor San Tekka before the First Order attacked his village.
As Resistance personnel are rushing around the base, a shuttle descends from orbit down towards the base. The shuttle is a relatively new Terran model known as the SC-63 Pegasus. A Resistance ground director directs the shuttle down towards its landing spot with his direction torches. The shuttle comes in and touches down on the landing pad.
Waiting at the edge of the landing pad is Leia, who is smiling brightly as she waits for the main passenger aboard the shuttle to disembark. Sure enough, after a minute, Leia's smile grows even bigger as she watches her nephew Ben step off of the shuttle.
"Ben!" Leia calls out to her nephew.
Ben grins broadly as he walks over to Leia. "Aunt Leia," he greets his aunt joyfully. He then reaches out and hugs his aunt.
"I'm glad you decided to come. I haven't seen you in too long," Leia says with a bright smile. She looks him up and down and says, "You've grown so much. You really take after your father."
"Thanks, Aunt Leia," he says with a smile. He then says, "Mom said to say hi and that she wishes she could come, but she was asked to fill in for Master O'Sullivan on an assignment after his wife ended up having their baby early."
"It's okay. I'm sure I'll see her again soon enough," Leia says before telling Ben, "Alright, why don't you come with me down to the command center?"
"Lead the way," Ben responds.
Leia leads Ben across the flightline towards the massive bunker complex where the command center of the Resistance base lies. As they enter, Ben sees a few individuals he recognizes. Admiral Ackbar is standing around the center holotable. And in one corner, he can see Jyn Erso and Cassian Endor speaking with some of the Resistance intelligence officers. Jyn and Cassian had continued their intelligence service for years after the war and in the last few years, had been supporting Resistance intelligence.
Leia and Ben come to the main holotable. As they stop, Leia says, "We have so far found no evidence of where BB-8 is, or if the First Order has BB-8."
"Any suspicions?" Ben asks.
"Many, but nothing in particular stands out enough," Leia says.
Ben stares ahead at the displays in front of him before he says, "We have to keep looking. This is our best chance to get my father back." For so long, he had kept his sorrow and his hope for his father's return at bay in order to be strong for his mother. However, now, with the clue needed to finally find his father, he can't hold his emotions back any more. At last, he might finally have a chance to be reunited with his father.
And, I'll end there.
So, we have begun the events of The Force Awakens. And, obviously, Ben will be taking part in it. It'll still be fairly similar to what happened in the movie, but with some differences.
The next chapter will be up somewhat soon. Until it's up, please leave a review, and stay tuned!
