Hey, everybody. Back with another chapter.

So, this is not going to show the start of Ben and Rey's journey. This will take us back to some other, familiar characters to ensure we don't go too long without seeing them. Next chapter will be the one to start Ben and Rey's journey.

Also, for reference, in this story, whenever I'm having the characters speak in another language where I can't find the specific translation, I'll put the English words in italics.

Chapter 48- Deep Strike

(January 5, 2051)

In the caverns lying under feet of rock, Anakin Hall carefully clambers over a boulder partially blocking the passage. Hearing a sound up ahead, he pauses for a moment to ensure that he hasn't been noticed before pressing on.

Anakin raises his wrist up to his mouth and whispers into his wrist comm, "Hania, aa' ha'ii baa nanina?" As is custom for the team when speaking over frequencies where there's a chance the First Order could be listening in, he's speaking in Navajo.

Quickly comes the reply from his ASAT teammate, Hania Nez, "I just got out of the facility. Got some data that might be useful. Heading in your direction."

"Hozho. Keep an eye out," Anakin says.

Anakin and Hania are currently on a previously unknown planet in the Unknown Regions on a special mission from Jonathan himself. Terran intelligence had managed to discover the location of a planet that the First Order used as a communications base. It was also believed to be one of the locations of the bases used by the Knights of Ren when they were not traveling. Anakin and Hania had been asked to undertake a mission to confirm the planet's existence, see what intelligence they could gather from it, and attempt to kill any Knights of Ren they found on the planet.

The two had landed on the planet a short time ago and separated. Anakin had gone searching for the base used by the Knights of Ren, while Hania infiltrated the communications base to sabotage its equipment and download any useful data from the First Order's computers.

Anakin had finally found what he believed to be the base. He had felt a particularly strong presence in the dark side. Stronger than would be present just because of the presence of a dark side user. Anakin begins to wonder if there is a small dark side vergence on this planet. If so, it makes sense that the Knights of Ren would build a hideout over it.

Anakin makes his way around a bend in the rocky passageway, and spots an opening up ahead. Anakin makes for the opening and soon emerges into a chamber that looks to be a mix of a computer center and mess hall. It's pretty big, being about the size of a basketball court.

Anakin looks around, wondering if these computers might hold some intel on the Knights. Then, almost simultaneously, three doors leading into the room open at once, and three of the Knights of Ren enter the room. One of them wields what looks like a massive machete made out of what looks like beskar. Another wields a massive club that seems to have some kind of grenade launcher on one end. The third wields a massive two-ended vibroblade.

Anakin looks around at the three. "Well. This is quite a welcoming party," he he remarks calmly.

"Did you think we would not detect your intrusion, Jedi? We knew of your presence here since the moment you entered," one of the three Knights says.

"I figured as much. But I also wouldn't put it past you guys to be incompetent enough to stop me or even find me," Anakin responds, yet to move or to draw his lightsaber.

"You will regret your overconfidence. We embrace the way of the Ren, and you will die at our hands," another of the Knights says as all three begin to approach Anakin.

Anakin smiles confidently as they approach, drawing almost within saber range. "We'll see about that," he says with a hint of mirth. Then, almost faster than the eye can follow, he uses the Force to yank his saber off his belt and into his hand, the blade springing to life as he whips it off towards his left, knocking the one wielding a club stumbling back before he attacks the one directly in front of him, the one wielding a machete.

The three Knights are caught off guard by the speed and ferocity of Anakin's sudden attacks. The three try to stumble away from him to try and get some breathing room to give them a better position to fight back. But Anakin is not about to let them have it.

Anakin presses his attack, his saber flashing in front of him with great speed as he continues slashing at the knight in front of him. The other two quickly try to come to their fellow's aid, but Anakin is not about to be caught off guard. Sensing their movements through the Force, he kicks the knight in front of him in the chest to knock him back as his lightsaber swirls around either side of him, blocking the blows from the other two knights without him ever even looking at them, letting the Force guide his movements.

Anakin finally turns to face one of the knights as he crosses the blade of his saber with the shaft of the knight's club. "You're about to find out why I slew two of your fellows almost a year ago," Anakin says before he attacks the knight with increased ferocity. His blade flashes like a blur around him as he pushes against the knight's defenses, all the while occasionally bringing his saber behind him to block blows from the other two Knights.

The knight, in a bit of desperation, puts all his physical strength into pushing Anakin back before swinging the end of his club around to reveal the grenade launcher. However, right as he is about to launch one at Anakin, Anakin reaches out with one hand and uses the Force to explode it right as it exits the barrel. The explosion damages the end of the club and knocks the knight stumbling back. Before the knight can react, Anakin throws his saber at him, and the blade impales the knight through the chest. Anakin then rushes forward and yanks the saber out of the knight's chest, turning to face his remaining two opponents.

Both remaining knights charge to attack Anakin, striking at him simultaneously with their weapons. Anakin brings his saber up to block them, then sends them stumbling back with a burst of Force energy.

Anakin focuses on the one wielding the massive machete and stabs his saber towards the knight's chest. The knight manages to deflect the blow, but Anakin proceeds to stomp on the knight's foot, then striking again as the knight's body is reacting to the pain. The knight partially deflects the blow, but Anakin still manages to graze his arm. He strikes again, but the knight is able to block this blow. However, the knight blocks too high, and Anakin uses this advantage to cast a bolt of Force judgment at the knight. The knight recoils in pain, and while he's trying to recover, Anakin swiftly beheads him.

Anakin now turns to face his final opponent. However, the final knight seems to realize that he can't hope to match Anakin alone. Using his limited power in the Force, he sends a flurry of objects lying around flying towards Anakin. As Anakin is distracted to stop them, the knight turns to flee.

Anakin watches the knight flee, heading up the passageway he had entered the hideout through. He then raises his wrist up to his mouth and says, "A knight is coming to you."

"Wehee," comes a simple response from Hania.

Anakin turns his attention to the computers in the room and what information he might be able to glean from them.

The knight continues to run, hoping to get up to the First Order base on the surface and see if he can get any reinforcements and alert Kylo Ren. However, right as he exits the tunnel, he suddenly hears the sound of another lightsaber being ignited, and off to his left he sees Hania standing in a ready position, the green blade of his lightsaber shining bright.

"You thought you'd get away from us that easily?" Hania questions before sprinting forward to engage the Knight.

Knowing he has to stand and fight, the knight swings one of the two ends of his massive vibroblade towards Hania to interrupt his charge. However, Hania deflects the blow as he Force-jumps up and over the knight. The knight turns around to face Hania, and is barely able to stop Hania from burying his saber in his head. The knight tries striking at Hania's legs, but Hania easily dodges every blow, leaping around as if he's dancing, using his saber to keep his enemy's weapon away from him.

The knight begins to grow increasingly frustrated as Hania just seemingly dances around him, looking effortless as he avoids every blow, and Hania just seems to be enjoying it. The knight doesn't know this is one of Hania's favorite tactics, using his agility to effortlessly avoid blows and just wait for his opponent to get frustrated enough to start making mistakes, and then take advantage of it and strike.

Sure enough, the knight begins to grow increasingly frustrated as he realizes he's not even close to touching Hania. His blows begin to get more and more wild. Finally, he strikes so wildly that the blow goes sailing over Hania's head, and Hania mutters, "My turn."

Hania strikes right at the knight's right arm, cutting about halfway through his arm. The knight cries out in pain, but the pain is not enough to cause him to drop his weapon. He blocks Hania's next two blows, but Hania then kicks him to the ground. And before he can try and get up and protect himself, Hania leaps forward and drives his saber down through the knight's chest. He holds his saber there for a moment before slowly standing up, looking down with satisfaction at his vanquished opponent.

Hearing the sound of footsteps, Hania looks up and sees Anakin walking out of the passage. "Got anything?" Hania asks.

"Yeah, I killed his two buddies, and got a few things off their computers," Anakin says. He looks down at the body of the Knight that Hania just killed and smirks. "Hope he didn't exhaust you too much," he says.

"Not at all," Hania responds with equal confidence.

"Alright. Let's get out of here," Anakin says, and the two head back to their ship, ready to head back to friendly territory.

I hope you like the duel with Anakin against the three Knights of Ren. In case it wasn't already obvious, Anakin is basically this generations Calvin Adams, but with incredible Force sensitivity.

As you probably noticed, I included a few Navajo words and phrases I was able to find. To translate the words I included, "aa' ha'ii baa nanina" literally means "how are you doing", "hozho" means "very good", and "wehee" means "all right". Everything else in italics was also said in Navajo, but I couldn't find translations online. Also, for those who don't know, Navajo isn't spoken like English. There's more guttural sounds and different enunciations, so the words and phrases I used don't sound exactly like they look, especially since I couldn't put all the extra symbols. I'm trying to learn Navajo myself, so I decided to include a few words and phrases. I may continue to do so in future scenes with the ASAT team.
