Hey, everybody. Back with another chapter.

Let's get to it.

Chapter 71- Hit on Naboo

(January 25, 2052)

As the sun rises over Naboo on a somewhat chilly day, Grand Admiral Page is already awake and busy with his day. The Grand Admiral is currently in his conference room, engaged in a meeting with the members of the Joint Command via holo-call.

Jonathan looks at the images of the Joint Command members sat in a circle around the table as he plants his hands on the table, leaning forward a bit to make himself seem more assertive. "I have been working on the plans for the offensive for 're ready to go, but I can't carry them out unless I get my reinforcements," Jonathan says firmly.

Grand General Lawrence sighs as he says, "Jonathan, you know that the Grysk War is still not over. We're pushing them back, yes, and closing in on victory, but if we strip resources right now, that will only delay our victory over them."

"I know that, but this opportunity is not going to last!" Jonathan retorts firmly. He pauses for a moment before he says, "The First Order just lost hundreds of ships, and who knows what Kylo Ren might be dealing with psychologically after being shot down by Lieutenant Malka. If we press the advantage now, we have a chance to break the stalemate."

"But what do we do if we give you what you need, and lengthen the war with the Grysk by 6 months or more?" one of the other generals asks.

"I don't care! We have a chance here to break the First Order! They are still trying to recover from their defeat. If we can strike before they have a chance to recover, we can begin breaking through their lines and gain the momentum we need! If we can't do it in time, and they can recover and shore up their defenses again, we could be waiting another year or more for an opportunity like this, and how much will that cost the Alliance!" Jonathan shouts, getting a little heated. He is not going to give up so easily.

"I know how much this matters, Admiral Page. But it still is not easy for us to make this decision," Grand General Lawrence says.

Suddenly, without warning, the conference room rocks as the sound of an explosion echoes through the building. Jonathan steadies himself, and a few seconds later, the door to the room bursts open and a commander rushes in, eyes wide. "Admiral, we're under attack! A First Order fleet just dropped out of hyperspace and is engaging our fleet while some ships are bombarding the city."

Jonathan reacts quickly. "We'll finish this discussion later, gentlemen!" he shouts before cutting the call and racing out of the conference room. He then hurries down to the situation room in his headquarters.

Jonathan bursts into the situation room, where several officers are talking with the fleet above the planet while monitoring the situation. "What's the situation?" Jonathan demands.

"The fleet just appeared in orbit less than 3 minutes ago. Our ships have already confirmed that the fleet numbers about a hundred ships, mostly Resurgents and Imperial-IIs. Most are engaging the fleet in orbit, but there are three Star Destroyers bombarding the surface. We're trying to raise the shields, but one of the generators has already been hit, and the shields aren't at maximum strength," one of the officers calls out.

"Recall the Enterprise and Vanguard immediately and scramble all fighters!" Jonathan shouts. He scowls as he looks at the display screens. He should've guessed that the First Order would try something like this, and before the Vanguard and Enterprise were due to return from their current stations in systems in hot spots along the front lines.

As another explosion rocks the HQ, Jonathan just calmly stares at the display screens. If everyone gets through this, he'll be having some words with the Joint Command.

(Hours later)

As the planet of Naboo itself remains relatively undisturbed since stronger shields were raised, the space outside the atmosphere is anything but peaceful. The battle to protect the planet has been going on for a few hours now, and the outnumbered defense fleet over Naboo has been roughed up pretty badly. Twelve ships have already been destroyed, and many more have been damaged. A few small task forces have arrived to reinforce the defense fleet, and some long range fighter squadrons, but the bigger task forces, including those built around the Vanguard and Enterprise, have not yet arrived.

However, one major reinforcement had arrived: the Hammer Squadron and the Blue Nosed Bastards of Bodney. The Hammers had been stationed aboard the Vanguard, and the 352nd aboard the Enterprise. When word came of the attack on Naboo, the commanders of both ships decided the scramble the fighters and send them on ahead of the task forces, knowing the fighters could get there sooner.

As the battle rages around him, Daniel is weaving his way between battling capital ships, Kenzo flying off his right wing. The two had been focusing a lot on hitting the warships of the First Order's fleet, leaving more of the dogfighting to the 352nd. The Hammers had been key to destroying several warships, and destroyed many weapons mounts on other ships to give the defense fleet a better fighting chance. Daniel had also added another 10 kills to his total.

As Daniel streaks under the belly of a Tokyo-class Star Destroyer, he sees that the ship is moving in the direction of a relatively undamaged Resurgent. "Kenzo, let's hit that Resurgent up ahead! Give 'em hell!" Daniel calls over the radio to his wingman.

"Right behind you, friend," Kenzo calls over the radio in return.

The two pilots throttle up and close on the hostile battlecruiser. As they approach, they see several missiles coming towards them from the ship's ventral cannons. "Missiles incoming! Countermeasures!" Daniel calls out. The two snap their fighters into wide, sweeping barrel rolls as they deploy countermeasures. Thankfully, the missiles go sailing past them, and once past them, lock onto the countermeasures and track them before detonating.

Daniel switches to his Mavericks as he streaks under the hull of the Resurgent. As turbolaser bolts and lighter laser bolts streak all around Daniel's fighter, Daniel locks his missiles onto several turbolaser batteries on the underside of the ship. Locking onto one battery, he ripple fires four of his missiles. He then repeats the process, launching four more missiles on another battery, and his last four missiles on a third. The missiles blast away at the batteries. One battery resist getting destroyed thanks to the ship's surviving shields, but the other two batteries are destroyed.

Daniel streaks past his handiwork as behind him, Kenzo makes his own attack, destroying two more batteries. He then follows Daniel past the battlecruiser, and they start looping around for another attack.

Right then, the radio comes alive as one of the admirals in orbit calls out to all units, "All Terran Alliance units, reinforcements emerging from hyperspace."

Daniel turns his gaze away from the planet. Sure enough, within moments, the Vanguard and her escorts, numbering 16 ships ships, drop out of hyperspace. Only a minute later, the Enterprise and her twelve escorts also drop out of hyperspace. Aboard the Enterprise, the weapons crews manning the superlaser are finishing charging the weapon. As the ship emerges from hyperspace, the navigation officers begin manuevering the ship to get a firing angle. They quickly get the bow properly aimed towards a Resurgent class battlecruiser. On board, the admiral in command, Vice Admiral Vihaan Ahuja, orders, "You are cleared to fire the weapon!"

The superlaser's generators power up and fire. The tributary beams meet in the prow, and the beam of the superlaser fires, connecting with the battlecruiser and vaporizing it.

In his cockpit, Daniel grins as he watches the battlecruiser get destroyed. "Alright, now we got the firepower to tackle them head on!" he cheers as he banks back towards the ship he just attacked, ready for another run.

(Hours later)

Jonathan bursts into his conference room. As he had requested, the Joint Command is on another holo-call and is waiting for him.

The battle over Naboo had ended half an hour ago with the destruction of the final ship of the First Order's fleet. The Vanguard and Enterprise had brought interdictors with them, and they had cornered the First Order there while they destroyed the entire fleet. Out of the 101 ships that the First Order had sent, 100 had been destroyed, with one lone Maxima class heavy cruiser being captured.

All surviving Terran vessels have now formed a defensive line above the planet to guard against any further attack, and signals intelligence was listening in to try and intercept any First Order communications hinting at a follow up attack either on Naboo or another planet.

Jonathan had stayed in the situation room until he had been able to confirm the battle was over and the planet was safe. However, before leaving the situation room, he ordered his staff to make another call to the Joint Command.

As Jonathan enters, Grand General Lawrence asks, "What happened, Jonathan?"

"They launched a surprise attack on Naboo, and we only stopped them from destroying Theed by bringing the Vanguard and Enterprise back in time!" Jonathan bursts out.

One of the generals looks like he's going to say something to try and calm him down, but Jonathan slams his hands down on the table in front of him, looking around at everyone with an iron expression as he says, "I'm going to make myself perfectly clear, gentlemen. We might have suffered losses today, but we dealt a massive defeat to the First Order, and we did so not long after we crushed them at the wormhole. We just ruined any momentum they had made trying to recover from that defeat."

"I don't care what you say, gentlemen. I am going forward with the offensive. I am not passing up this chance, not when passing it up could lengthen the war by years! Operation Overlord II begins in late April. And I will be launching it with whatever forces I will have at my disposal by that time. It's up to you whether or not I do so with forces that have been reduced, or with the forces I need to guarantee a victory that doesn't take years. So if you don't want a dragged out campaign, then get me the reinforcements I need by the end of April!" Jonathan says, in a voice that sounds more like him giving orders rather than making a request.

The members of the Joint Command are quiet as they glance around at each other, exchanging glances before the other members all give nods to Grand General Lawrence. Lawrence looks back at Jonathan and says, "Grand Admiral Page, you will have reinforcements by then. We will find a way to get you the forces you need. You just promise us that those forces will be well utilized."

"They will be. Just get them to me," Jonathan says firmly, a bit of a smile beginning to cross his face.

And, I'll end the chapter there.

I hope you liked this one, and the focus I showed on Jonathan. I wanted to show a bit more of him in action as an admiral. We'll see a little bit more of him in action in the coming chapters.

Now, as I promised, I'm going to start wrapping up my original characters in my version of SWGOH in this universe by describing my original Galactic Legends. I'll start with my first Galactic Legend: Jedi Master Ahsoka Tano.

Jedi Master Ahsoka Tano is a Light Side GL, with Jedi, Terran Alliance, and Terran Jedi tags, designed to lead a Terran Alliance Jedi team. Although classed as an Attacker, she also has a lot of support mechanics from her moves, her leadership, and her unique ability. She kind of takes the place of Jedi Master Luke Skywalker since JML isn't in my version of SWGOH.

Her requirements are as follows: Relic 8 Ahsoka Tano, Relic 7 Grandmaster Plo Koon, 7 star Ahsoka Tano's starfighter, Relic 5 Hared Hansen (Padawan), Relic 5 Miriam Walker, Relic 5 Captain Rex, Relic 6 Master Ezra Bridger, Relic 3 Mand'alor Din Djarin, Relic 3 Simone Biles, Relic 7 Colonel Ahsoka Tano, Relic 7 Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker, Relic 3 General Hall, and Relic 3 Admiral Adams.

Alright. Next chapter will be up soon. Until it's up, please leave a review, and stay tuned!
