Chemical Plant
He has that pest right where he wants him. After tampering with his plans for a grueling week, Robotnik will finally be rid of his only challenge.
"Sayonara, Sonic the Hedgehog…"
A green light messes with Sonic's vision..but there was little he could do. His prized legs have been weakened. His body losing energy at a rapid pace. A mad megalomaniac's ready to put a tragic end to his adventure. Sonic struggles a bit more, but still can't get the heavy boot of Robotnik off him.
His emeralds start glowing yet again, but the pair aren't alone. The bag containing the rest has a mixture of colors beam out! The fabric itself tears as if those emeralds have a mind of their own! Robotnik's eyes dart back and forth, his curiosity peaking, as well as the uncertainty.
"Is this the true power those emeralds possess?" Robotnik ponders. "Why didn't I hunt these earlier?!"
The five emeralds float out by force, joining their two brethren as they circle around the two. He pace gets quicker and quicker, as both pairs of ears start ringing! Robotnik has to cover his.
"What is this power?!"
Sonic's unresponsive, being elevated right in-front of their eyes! Robotnik tries to force him back down, but nothing he's doing has any affect! "Not now! I WAS WINNING!"
A golden flash envelops their sights…

Robotnik comes to see those rodents removed from his machine. Instant dread. Not only did they get away unscathed, but the emeralds surrounded Sonic like he was some some sort of supreme being. Doctor climbs that ladder the quickest he's ever had, and rushes into the brain of the machine.
Being the eyes of his destructive robot, what he finds makes him wish the rodent was still blue.
"..not like this.."
Sonic's enveloped in yellow, with the aura surrounding him having a smoke effect. Super Sonic's easy to rumble!
Robotnik's practically frozen in place at this discovery. "You.." his look of shock quickly transforms into a glare. That Doctor punches his keyboard in frustration! "THIS IS ALL A LIE! You were mere roadkill! How come YOU get to use the emeralds?!"
Super Sonic keeps his newly red eyes focused on the machine.
"Answer me!"
Nothing.
"Do you think YOU'RE in control?!"
He smashes a button, sending a good fifty missiles out to pulverize him! The golden pests turned into a mere cloud of smoke. Those missiles must have ripped Sonic from his new high horse! Robotnik jumps in joy. "YEAH!
Super Sonic floats out without a scratch.
"..I hate you, hedgehog."
That overpowered hedgehog crosses his arms. "You talk a big game. Better get down to reality before you end up with egg on your face."
Robotnik slides his goggles down, revealing the reflection of Super Sonic. He may think he's a normal hedgehog, but he's dripped in nothing but gold. The Doctor had never seen a lifeform THIS strong before. Despite his gut warning him to back away, Robotnik never listens to a gut feeling. He's just too proud to do so.
"My game is not just big. It's MASSIVE!"
Those lasers shoot from the eyes, but Super Sonic dodges them with ease. Robotnik rips into the structure of his Chemical Plant, duel wielding two walls. He goes to pancake Sonic, but they get stopped by the hedgehog's newfound strength! No matter how hard he squeezes, the Doctor can't squish him!
"Blasphemy!"
With one strike from each hand, both walls crumble into dust! Robotnik forces his jaw back on its hinges, scrambling for new material. He rips a blue/yellow pillar from its place. "GET A LOAD OF THIS!" He yells, taking another massive swing at the hedgehog.
Not only does Sonic evade, he rips it from the Death Egg's grasp without a sweat!
Robotnik clasps his bald head. "I can't believe this!"
Sonic blasts the machine left and right with that beam, sending its head spinning around! He sends that beam crashing onto the head of the beast, folding its head in half! The Doctor has to jump out of the way JUST to avoid a fatal crushing! He almost trips getting back to his precious buttons.
The sweats building up on the Doctor, as he smashes EVERY button he can see! He even breaks one in his desperate attempt to get ANY advantage he can on this, this superhuman being! Never has he panicked this much in his life..
"I was supposed to win.." Robotnik whines to himself, firing on all cylinders. "But nooo..the trashpanda has to pull THAT!"
Sonic's not scared of the missiles ahead. Much like their last battle South, Sonic uses them as mere stools to get a crack at the Death Egg. A net comes flying out of a compartment, even wrapping itself around him!
"A!" Robotnik raises a fist. "That'll teach—"
Sonic rips it in half and keeps going! "Nice try big shot."
The Doctor looks dead inside. "Give me a big fat break.."
As the two goliaths clash above, a slumped Tails takes a second to catch his break. "I can't be too long. Every second counts.." he tells himself, grabbing a loose piece of metal to force himself up. That Fox turns to his right and spots the idle Tornado. Easy plan. His ears perk up, hearing rapid taps behind him.
Stones running for it too. "Don't get in my way!"
Tails trips him and heads for his prized plane. As he uses what's left of his strength to fly over, he gets another glance at the action. "You can do it, Sonic!"
The hedgehog turns around, taking a little bow, before decimating a middle behind him.
While it looks like the Mobians are on their way to recovery, Stone's clutching his knee. He tries to get up, wincing along the way. An invisible force knocks him back on his ass! A chameleon appears, with his signature yellow horn. "You're a wanted man."
Stone puts his hands up. "When am I not?" Before he can answer further, Stone's yanked by his black petard! He's turned around, face to face with a abnormally large crocodile.
"Street says you're a terrorist. You ain't seein' heaven."
Back to the action, the Death Egg's got this elastic arms on its legs, almost panting at all this effort. If it were anyone else, this robot would have won in the first minute. Arguably SECONDS.
Robotnik'e stomping around inside, a temper tantrum boiling. "What are you?!"
That hedgehog doesn't respond, so he goes to a different plan. The left arm of the beast rises. It's arm stretches out like a band, gunning for Sonic. Sonic dodges that one…only to be snatched by the other one!
"Rip me a new one, sideshow!"
Sonic tears both arms off, flipping them around. Robotnik's face goes flat at the sight. Not only did his joke bomb, but so did his plan. Sonic decks the machine across the chest with its own limb! An uppercut from the right arm dings the folded head! Sonic practically turns himself into a buzzsaw, using those "limbs" to cut across the scalp!
As the scalp slides off, Robotnik can feel the open air, blowing his mustache further than he'd prefer. He tries straightening it In the chaos, but it's not budging. He has bigger concerns anyway..because Super Sonic's floating above him. He can do anything he wants to the doctor, and nobody would be able to hear his cries.
Instead of taking his head off, Sonic asks one simple question: "You gonna leave this place alone?"
Robotnik's got his hands behind his back, crossing his fingers. "Yes! I will just settle elsewhere!
That earns a glare from the hedgehog, who zips down to the body of the beast. He enters one end, and comes out the other! The machine shakes as he tears through it like it's paper! All that work on his baby, and Super Sonic's put it all to waste. What was once a valley of red and yellow, are now holes spread through the body.
Sonic even targets the legs, making the machine stumble about! He zips back up, facing the doctor again. He's still got that glare on. "Now?"
Robotnik falls to his knees. "Please Sonic..I'm just a man who craves knowledge. Look, I had a theory about machines, it crumpled..can't we just start over?"
None of his pleading seems to sway Sonic.
"You're too good of a soul to just leave me on the streets, right?"
Sonic tears the whole head off the Death Egg, leaving Robotnik stuck inside! Sonic just punts the problem away, leaving him to either learn, or continue his thirst for domination. No matter what though, Sonic tells himself that he'll square up any day of the week.
He starts to feel nauseous. Glancing at himself, he finds that the yellow form he once had is gradually going blue again. Without air support, this fall could be a bad one! Unfortunately, there's no plane in sight, so he has no choice but to take the plunge.
The ground gets closer. Sonic flails around, looking for a savior. A planes wing dashes into view, and he extends his feet..
Nails a solid landing on the Tornado! He collapses to his knees, panting after the stress of the fight. Even as a furry superman, it took a toll. He glances at Tails, that trusty pilot. "Nice catch, buddy."
That compliment puts a smile on his face. "I could never leave you." How selfish would that be? Sonic's basically Tails only friend right now, the Fox couldn't mentally take ditching him at all. Plus the way he just casually takes to conversation..Tails wishes he could be as laid back.
The two get a good view of smoke rising into the atmosphere. Nature suffers again, but as far as Sonic's concerned, the doctor's done for.
VROOM!
Or is he?
"HEDGEHOG!"
That Eggmobile comes barreling towards them, with a dusty Robotnik salivating at the sight. "Here's a valuable dose of advice: ALWAYS GO FOR THE DOUBLE TAP!" He smacks a button, as a wrecking ball attached to a chain pops out from beneath!
"Watch out!" Tails panics, pushing a button of his own. Two blasters pop out between the wings. He fires away, piercing the doctor's transportation, and forcing him further away! The eggmobile's spinning around like a record..
Tails look of panic mellows out. "Phew.."
Robotnik slaps a button below, as a jetpack unsticks itself. He goes flying from his seat, but the jetpack follows on its own, attaching itself onto his back. As the engines kick in, Robotnik decides to leave them with one last warning. "I always come back, hedgehog. You'll BOTH be one with my glorious creations. Time doesn't stop for anyone.."
"Woah!" Sonic wags a finger. "That's really interesting! I don't care."
"Everything's a joke to you…"
"Nah.." Sonic stretches an arm. "We've got the power of teamwork.
Robotnik grimaces at his words. "Cheesy as usual I see." He boosts away, living to fight another day. If he's going to wipe that smirk off the rodents face, he's in desperate need of a stronger arsenal. Luckily for the Doctor, he's very adaptable.
As he flies away, Sonic initiates a fist bump with his new pal. "Nice shot. When'd this plane start packin'?"
"I installed them before we went to the Sanctuary. You won't mind if I make new ones right?"
Sonic shrugs the question off. "You do you."
Hope you enjoyed the total curbstomping that just took place. A lot of developments in this one. Sonic almost lost, Stone's facing charges of terrorism, and Robotnik's going to have to come back with a better plan.
Anyways, this next chapter will act as a epilogue. We'll see how Sonic and Tails are doing. Maybe Robotnik's actually got a plan cooked up..see you there :)
