Meanwhile, on a planet very far away from Planet Earth, two Saiyans, having just slaughtered an entire race of life on the planet were eating some of the wildlife for lunch when they got the message from their fallen comrade, Radditz.
"So... Radditz kicked to bucket to his weakling brother... and not only that, but Chill's also defected from the order and is living on Earth? I heard she had a falling out with King Cold, but I never expected her to be a traitor," Nappa frowned in annoyance.
"Or that she'd gotten that strong. And remember, the King Cold line transforms to get weaker. She's probably even stronger than just a mere 2 thousand," Vegeta said before taking a bite of the meal he had in hand. "But I'm more interested in that thing near the end. Dragonballs, I think they were?"
"Yeah... with those things, we could probably wish for Radditz to come back. Or better yet, our entire race!" Nappa smirked.
"Yes, indeed. But I have a better idea. They can grant any wish, so what about immortality? Eternal youth! Maybe both of them at the same time? Imagine how powerful we could be with that power! We could rebuild our entire race back up after that!" Vegeta smirked.
"Hehe, I like the way you think, Vegeta! But what about that other Saiyan that appeared? The one Radditz called his mother... I thought that there weren't any other Saiyans aside from us, Radditz, and Kakarot," Nappa frowned.
"From what I heard from Frieza's transmissions, Chill defected from the order because King Cold was furious at her for training Saiyans in secrecy among her Battle Brigade. And then, training them to use pacifist treatments to handle foes, never once killing anyone. Pathetic, isn't it?" Vegeta chortled before then almost choking with his mouth full, getting some water to get it down. "Ugh. Still, we should get going as soon as we can. I know Chill's tactics to a T. She's a wimp, never once wanting to throw a punch if she can help it. We can take care of her easily, since she'll never hurt a fly. You'll see! We'll be the ones to find all those Dragonballs before anyone else!" Vegeta shouted.
"Then what are we waiting for? Let's get going! It'll take us about 1 year and 4 days of that planet's time to get there, so let's go," Nappa smirked as they then got into their space pods and then started their trek.
"Sweet dreams, Vegeta. Soon, we'll be all powerful," Nappa smiled before the hyper sleep functions initiated.
"Yeah, see you soon," Vegeta smirked back.
"You can't be serious! THOSE two are coming HERE?!" Stratos shouted in shock after I brought together the Battle Brigade to meet up at Capsule Corp. But in the process, I had to bring Bulma alongside me because of her needing to get home to start her own training... as well as editing one of my spare Scouters to read in English numbers as opposed to the alien language made for everyone else.
"They are, though. Nappa and Vegeta are going to come soon, their entire goal being to get at the Dragonballs. And also, possibly, killing everyone on our planet. And to prevent them from doing so, right before they arrive, we're going to wish Goku back to life as he fell in battle against Radditz. He'll be our trump card part two, because his son, Gohan, is being trained by Piccolo. We just need to trust that the green man can train him well," I frowned, the group looking confused before then gawking.
"You mean that green Namekian that wanted to rule the world? I thought he was a bad guy, so why is he training Gohan?... Should we be worried?" Oragna asked in concern.
"I'm watching them from afar with my ki sensing and I can sense that Gohan, though scared, is still safe. If anything bad happens to that kid, I'll be there as fast as I can. But until further notice, we will be training as much as we possibly can. We're going to up our training regime! We're going to up our G training to 50 Gs and, after that, 60!" I smirked; the group being surprised at that.
"Are we going to be able to handle that?" Peppino asked as he stroked his tail in concern. He was the only one of our Battle Brigade's Saiyans that had trained to never get drained from grabbing his tail. The reason? His parents had him train since infanthood, where he had to do so in order to grab his binky, it being held at the very end of his tail.
"We'll have to. Because we both know how strong Nappa and Vegeta are," Gine frowned.
"But along with that, I want to train you in a secret technique. Specifically, a secret technique that only a Saiyan can do," I said, which Gine looked confused at.
"Um... what technique are you talking about? I'm not sure I follow..." Gine said with concern.
"Two words. Super. Saiyan," I said, which made the trio gasp and look stunned.
"You can't be serious! It's just an old myth, right?... RIGHT?!" Oragna asked in shock and disbelief.
"Oh, yeah? Well, I happen to know that Frieza has his own secret troops, them being a duo of father and son. Broly and Paragus, with Broly being able to turn Super Saiyan at the young age of 1," I smiled, that making the group stunned. "And that, my dear friends, is why Frieza and King Cold wanted the Saiyans to be scared into submission as opposed to being treated fairly. Because any Saiyan can use the ability, but it's different for each one. For those with birth defects like Broly, he'll get stronger the angrier he gets, with his Super Saiyan state being half as strong as Frieza at his maximum. As for the myth, it goes like this," I said as I then took out a book. One that I'd managed to salvage from the Saiyans' largest library before Frieza could bomb them to kingdom come.
"W-Where'd you get that book?" Gine asked with worry on her face.
"I salvaged it about a year before Planet Vegeta was destroyed... anyways, let me read it aloud. Chapter 5, section 6. The Legend of the Super Saiyan is one that is truth, but to release this state of unrelenting strength, it depends based on the Saiyan who undergoes said transformation. If a completely purehearted Saiyan feels unrelenting rage, they will release all of their rage at once, making their strengths 10-fold to their original power. And if the Super Saiyan continues training in this state, they will ascend to higher levels of power," I read aloud, which the group gawked at.
"Well, what about those that have rage in their bodies, like Vegeta?" Peppino asked.
"For those with the natural bloodlust of the Saiyan bloodlines of Vegeta's royal lineage, the warrior will only grow to Super Saiyan if they get as strong as they possibly can in base form. Only then will they be able to ascend to Super Saiyan, but only if they feel unrelenting frustration. And for those who feel a mixture of the two, who fight passively but have killed prior, they will need to reach an unrelenting rage, but only after achieving a pure state of absolute calm."
"So for us, we need the third option, then? Sounds tough..." Oragna said, me nodding at that.
"Any time that we aren't training in the G force chamber, we'll be training in how to become Super Saiyan. And I'll also try to visit Gohan in private to try and have him train in this power, too. If we can achieve this transformation, we can be strong enough to content with Vegeta and Nappa both!" I smirked, which made the group nod afterwards.
"Okay, we'll try it out... but what about Stratos and Sphara?" Peppino asked.
"We'll train just as well, but our strength will get tougher regardless if we're training in heightened G forces. You know, since we're Cloudians," Stratos smirked.
"And Stratos is about 1000 and Sphara is 900," I explained, us then getting to the training.
It took roughly 7 months total of training between all of us in the Battle Brigade team, but I'd eventually managed to get everyone trained up enough to be comparable to Nappa as well as manage to get the Saiyans to learn how to go Super Saiyan. But there was only one problem.
"It's... so hard... to maintain that form..." Gine sighed and panted after her first time. It was like with Gohan in his time in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber in the Cell Saga. It was tough to maintain the transformation without a constant stream of fury. So they needed to get really mad and stay like that to have a chance at defeating the Saiyans.
"We've got to keep training, then. In the book, it states that, with enough times of transforming into Super Saiyan, you can eventually enter the state even without getting angry. But for now, I'm going to check up on Gohan and Piccolo. The kid survived so far, now he's getting training from the not-so-jolly green giant," I frowned.
"Is that a reference to your past life?" Stratos asked, me nodding.
"Yes, it is. A brand of veggies that had a giant green man as its mascot," I smiled. I then disembarked for the training location where Piccolo was with Gohan. And after enough time of flying, I eventually reached the location and saw that the duo were engaged in a battle of training, which Gohan was actually keeping up with Piccolo, but was getting worn out.
"Huh?" Piccolo asked when he sensed me, allowing Gohan to get a good hit to his side, me smirking as I simply lowered myself down to the duo.
"O-Oh! It's you!" Gohan gawked when he saw me.
"What are you doing here?" Piccolo frowned. "I thought I told you to not interfere."
"I'm here to share my own training session with Gohan. I'm sure you've been overhearing my discussions with my training group by now, right, Namekian?" I asked, him frowning at me.
"You mean you think you can make Gohan turn Super Saiyan as well? Even though he's not a full Saiyan?" he asked, me nodding as I then opened the book and flipped to a certain chapter.
"Here. Chapter 6, section 8. And I quote: 'For those few Saiyans that are halfbred with other races, which is a rarity in and of itself, the path to becoming Super Saiyan will be slightly different, depending on the overall personality of the child. If the child is wild and unruly, it will be quite easy to turn into the state of Super Saiyan. But if the child is shy, quiet, and reserved, it will be much harder. If the latter is true, they must train to near-exhaustion and then, in that instant, feel frustration and anger at the same time. Only then can the child undergo Super Saiyan for the first time, which, after the first transformation, they can turn into it easier with each successive attempt." I explained, which Piccolo smirked at.
"I see. So we need to train Gohan to the point he gets exhausted, and only then can we get him to attempt a transformation?" Piccolo asked, me nodding.
"I can actually speed that process up. You want to try it out, kid?" I asked, which Gohan sighed and nodded.
"I'm ready, all or nothing," he said, me nodding at his words. I then zapped him with a special version of my paralysis attack. One that would make him exhausted as opposed to paralyzed. And after it connected, he gasped as he felt the feeling and then he looked upset.
"Now, think about what happened with Radditz. How powerless you felt as he kidnapped you and tried to kill your dad. And now think of how strong you've already become!" I said, trying to amp him up. And after enough prodding, Gohan's power began to fluctuate insanely! And even the ground began to quake and quiver!
"W-What's with the ground?" Piccolo asked.
"RGGHHH... GGGRRRRGGHHHH! ! !" Gohan growled.
"LET IT ALL OUT!" I shouted, Gohan then doing just that and shouting in absolute frustration and fury, his hair then rising high and turning blonde, his eyes growing insanely sharp and green, and his eyebrows shrinking back into his face. And his strength? Insane! It wasn't 10 fold for this kid! It was 20 times original power! And since his strength previously was about 700, he now was at 14,000 power! He was actually stronger than Vegeta in this instance!
"Rghh... grrgghh..." Gohan growled as he tried to control it.
"Okay, Gohan, now try to control this anger," I said, him then growling and trying to do so... before then reverting back to normal with sweat beading down his face.
"It's... that was... incredible..." Gohan panted before then falling down and falling asleep.
"Is he okay?" Piccolo asked, that being all that he could say after that.
"He'll need a little bit of rest after that. When he wakes up, give him some food and water. Then, train him more in both physical and Super Saiyan status. After that first transformation success, it'll be easier with each successful attempt. If he keeps it up, he can turn Super on a whim. And his strength at that moment? Stronger than Vegeta, the stronger of the two Saiyans," I smirked.
"Wow... okay, let's get to work. Thanks... Sally, right?" Piccolo asked, me nodding.
"And you keep it up, too, Piccolo. Your strength has increased to 3000, but it still pales to Nappa's 7000," I explained, him nodding as I then went to a small detour. I wanted to visit Chi-Chi and see how she was doing right at this moment. I simply went to Goku's house and knocked on her door. And after doing so, Chi-Chi slammed the door open and looked stunned.
"GOHAN?! Is that you?!" she asked, me frowning. "Oh, it's just you, Sally," she frowned.
"Yes, it is. I wanted to check up on you," I smiled, her frowning.
"I sensed where you were earlier. You were to the north of us. Tell me, is that where my Gohan is?!" she growled, me frowning at her.
"Say I were to tell you where Gohan was being trained at. What would you do? Go there, tell off Piccolo, and take your kid back home? Do you really think that'd be the smartest thing to do?" I asked, her growling and then slamming her fist through the door.
"WHAT ABOUT COLLEGE?! HUH?!" she growled angrily.
"Girl. Gohan's still in elementary school. And he's our second best bet against the Saiyans when they show up. His power level, when I was training him with Piccolo, went higher than the strongest of the two Saiyan's maximum," I said, Chi-Chi still being furious. "And besides, why would you be getting pissed at someone who could very easily tutor your kid in all fields?" And when I said that, Chi-Chi looked surprised.
"Wait... you... you say you can teach him?" she asked.
"I've been alive in this current form for nearly 150 years. Trade secret, don't tell anyone, makes me feel old," I said, her smiling and nodding. "And I recall a lot about my past life, especially about my academics, where I made distinguished honors every year throughout High School. And being near Capsule Corporation so much has given me knowledge about the Capsule classes, so I can teach him in all fields. But only if you allow me and Piccolo to train the kid."
My words seemed to make Chi-Chi enter pondering mode, almost as if it were the biggest deal ever. And the biggest problem was her deciphering if she should let Gohan train and do schoolwork at the same time. "And best part? My services only require that, if I'm hungry, I can have food here. And I eat far less than Goku ever does," I said, Chi-Chi doing a small chuckle after before sighing.
"Okay... fine. I won't like it one bit, but I'll allow you to keep training Gohan. But if anything happens to my boy during the Saiyan invasion, I am going to find some means of ruining your entire life after you ruin mine," she said, me nodding at her.
"I'll try my hardest to make sure he stays safe," I said, her frowning as she then closed the door and I saw that the hole was right by her chest area, me frowning at that. "By the way, you may need to hire a carpenter."
"I KNOW THAT!" she shouted at me. I then thought it best to disembark from her and proceed to get to training with another person. One that I'd been training in a lot of techniques whenever my Battle Brigade had finished training for the day. And no, it was not Kami. It was someone that was actually stronger than him.
So where did I go to? The mountains that the Ox King hailed from, me going to the one mountain that held the Furnace of Souls, me going inside of the mountain to meet my teacher. And yes, it was Annin, a woman that had actually been alive for 9 thousand years, not the actual amount in the anime or manga, but a high number regardless and one that knew of how my world managed to perish away and get redeveloped over time.
"So, you ready to train the Annin way?" asked the guardian of the furnace, her orange outfit being just as striking as usual. Especially her antenna.
"Yes, I'm ready, master Annin," I smiled at her.
"I still have no idea why you want to train with me in specific, especially when I'm supposed to guard the furnace, but I'm sure there's some reason, especially since you know the secrets," Annin smiled at me.
"Keep that hush hush, because I don't want anyone to find out," I smiled at her. "Anyways, the reason I've been training with you is because of some of your unique strengths that only you have. Mainly, the ones involving extensions of clothing and size changing. Your power becomes at least 100 times greater than its origin whenever you grow to your true size, and I want to get that strong myself, in case the opponents are stronger than they should be," I smirked, her nodding at me.
"Indeed. Okay, but just know, it takes a lot of time to learn the strength of clothing extension... but for size changing? It'd take about 4 months worth of training in it specifically to learn it," she explained, me nodding at it.
"Then I'm ready to learn," I smirked. I did need to train more and more, especially if I wanted to get strong enough to protect everyone. But above all else, I wanted to save a specific few that would die in the coming adventures. Those included the numerous Namekians that get slaughter by Frieza, his men, and Vegeta; all the innocent victims of Frieza, Cooler, and King Cold's horrid genocidal tactics, and all the innocent souls that would get absorbed by Cell, including 17 and 18.
