Two people walked down the dark streets of Vale. one was a Narehate, the other, a human. "Maa, so this is Vale. it's a lot bigger than you made it out to be Lil' Rose." Saki said looking at his human companion.

Ruby nodded. "After living in the Abyss for twelve years, it's so…" she began "Alien to you?" Saki suggested. The scarlet girl nodded.

Before she could respond however, the sound of shattering glass was heard. the two friends looked at each before rushing towards the origin, with Saki keeping up with ruby by running on all fours.

Stopping at the corner of a building, the duo peeked over the side and saw a grey and blue clad girl wielding a giant blue scythe facing off against several men. "That girl's outnumbered." Ruby said, hand instinctively reaching for her tanto and new sawed-off lever action rifle.

"Ruby, that girl kind of looks like how you did when you were fifteen." Saki said catching the young woman's attention. "She does, but enough talk. More helping." Ruby said. Saki grinned. "Different location, same profession." He said priming his musket.

Sapphire wasn't having a good evening. She'd decided to go to Dust till Dawn for the latest edition of weaponsmith's monthly, now here she was, facing off against Roman Torchwick and his goons.

"You're really something Blue. You really are. Sadly this is the end of the…" his sentence was cut off as the crack of a rifle going off resounded in the street. Blood splattered on the ground as a grunt fell to the ground with an inch wide hole in his chest. "The hell?" another goon voiced everyone's thoughts.

"Maaa, come now. It's a bit unfair to gang up on someone isn't it?" came a masculine voice. Turning, the azure reaper saw someone who she almost mistook for her mom and a creature that she didn't know of.

The gun in the woman's hand was smoking, signifying that she'd been the one that had fired. "This is your one chance to drop your weapons and surrender. If you don't, then we won't be sorry for what happens next." She said slightly unsheathing her sword.

The remaining goons looked at each other before dropping their weapons. 'Idiots.' Roman thought. The creature seemed to smirk obviously content with the goons choice.

"Maaa, good choice. Now get on the ground and wait for the authorities to take you in, understand?" it said and the goons nodded.

Roman ground his teeth before dropping his cigar and snuffing it out. "You three really are worth every cent. Well blue, red, Fluffy, it's been a pleasure." the criminal said. "FLUFFY!?" the creature yelled.

With the creature temporarily distracted, roman raised his cane and fired. "Look out!" Sapphire yelled tackling it to the ground.

"You ok?" she asked. "Yeah, I'm good." It said. "Mr. Hollow, he's getting away." The woman said. "After him. We'll catch up." 'Mr. Hollow' said.

The woman nodded before rushing to a ladder and 'Mr. Hollow' got up. Sapphire looked at the shop keep. "mind if we go after him?" she asked and the old man gave her an 'uh huh'.

Just as she was about to start climbing, sapphire felt a weight on her back. "Sorry, ladders aren't exactly my forte." Mr. Hollow said sheepishly. Sapphire nodded, and despite the weight, was able to climb up to the roof.

Roman growled. "So persistent aren't you three." He snarled. "Maaa, yep. We're all kinds of stubborn ginger." Mr. Hollow said. "Well then, sweet dreams." Roman said tossing a red crystal before shooting it.

However, instead of feeling intense and burning flesh, the trio were safe from harm as a blonde-haired woman stood next to them.

"Shit." Roman said scrambling to the cockpit. "We have a huntress!" the pilot, a woman, got up and traded places with him.

"Oh crap." Saki said as the unknown woman shot fireballs at him, Ruby, ruby's younger look-alike, and blonde woman.

"I've had enough of this shit for tonight." The Narehate muttered before loading an HE/AP bullet into his musket and aiming at the craft's visible engine "Eat this you mother…" Saki said before squeezing the trigger.

The woman noticed and put up a firewall attempting to detonate or melt the bullet before it could. Unfortunately for her, it sailed through the wall and pierced the engine causing it to catch fire.

Roman peeled the craft away. Just as the blonde was about to stop them, Ruby intervened. "Let them. The bullet my friend here shot hasn't gone off yet."

The woman frowned, but complied. Roughly, thirty seconds later the engine on the now distant craft exploded. It crashed outside vale in a fireball, lighting up the sky.

"Whoa," Sapphire said in awe. "Maaa, serves those two right for ruining our nighttime stroll, eh?" Mr. Hollow said, an odd satisfaction in his voice.

LATER AT VALE'S POLICE DEPARTMENT

"I should send you all home with a pat on the back and a slap on the wrist." Glynda Goodwitch said scaring Sapphire whilst Saki, and Ruby remained unfazed.

"They started it." Sapphire countered. "I appreciate the help by the way, but was killing that goon necessary?" the azure reaper asked her, unknown to her, older sister.

"You did what?!" Glynda asked in shock. "it's how we handle things back in the Abyss, or as you Remnantian's call The Great Sinkhole. And by we, I mean my colleague and I." Mr. hollow said.

'Ozpin offered murderers a chance to become a huntsman and huntress?' Glynda thought. Hiding her unease, the blonde professor continued. "Fortunately for you miss Rose." She said catching Sapphire's attention. "there's someone who wants to talk with you."

"Sapphire Rose, you have silver eyes." Ozpin said as he came in

After Ozpin offered Sapphire to attend Beacon early, she was shocked to learn that her rescuers were also attending.

"Sapphire, do you have any idea how dangerous that was?" Yang scolded her sister as Ruby, and Saki watched. "so, that's yang. She looks like she could have quite the temper." The Narehate said in his native tongue so Ruby's arguing sisters couldn't pry into their conversation. Ruby nodded

"Yes, she prides her hair. So if you don't want to get clobbered, I suggest you don't touch it nor cut even a strand." She replied also in the Abyss language

"Sapphire, thank Oum. When the police called, your father, Raven and I feared the worst." Summer said crushing the azure reaper in a bear hug. "Ack, I know mom, and I'm safe thanks to them and Uncle Qrow's training." Raven frowned "Them?"

Sapphire turned towards the Narehate and her mother's lookalike. Saki saw her looking at them. "you're up Lil' Rose. Go say hi. Try not to be awkward when they realize you're their daughter." The Narehate said before semi curling up on a nearby couch.

Ruby deadpanned. Her friend of twelve years practically threw her under the bus. Then again, this was her family, not his.

"So, you helped my daughter. Thank you." Taiyang said offering a handshake. "What's your name by the way?" Ruby stumbled slightly with her words, unsure if she should lie or not. Saki, on the other hand, didn't.

"You don't recognize her?" he asked, raising his head. "should we?" Raven asked. "What kind of idiots are they?"

"Granted the fact that she's been missing for twelve years, how can you forget your own daughter's face?" Saki asked in annoyance. This made everyone's eyes widen. "Ru-Ruby? My little rose?" Summer asked having now gotten a good look at the young woman.

After giving Saki a slight glare, Ruby smiled bitterly. "yeah. It's really me. if you need proof check with Ozpin or my lazy friend here."

Saki smiled as Ruby's mother, father, and sister yang hugged his Lil' Rose. His job was done. He could return home now, but he'd promised Ruby that he'd go with her to beacon.

Summer smiled. "Look at you Ruby. What a fine young woman you've grown up to be." She said before it faltered when Yang asked her eldest biological daughter the question that was literally on everyone's mind. "Where have you been for the last twelve years Ruby?"

Ruby sighed. "I've been living in the Abyss for the last decade or so." She said. "The what?" Sapphire asked her newly reunited sister.

"Maaa, speak English Rubes. Remember what Ozpin said. the people of Remnant call the Abyss by a different name." Saki said making the human resident of the Abyss' fourth layer face fault.

"Right, I forgot. The Abyss is what we call it, but you and the rest of remnant know it as The Great Sinkhole." Ruby said clarifying what she meant whilst receiving some horrified looks.

"How?!" Raven exclaimed. "Qrow went there once to escort some merchants and regretted it." The family failed to see the pained glance ruby made to Saki, whom glared at her.

"That place is extremely dangerous Ruby. How'd you survive?" Yang asked. "I think it's best we take this conversation somewhere less crowded and unlikely to draw attention." Saki said getting down from the couch.

"And you are?" Taiyang asked the Narehate. "Name's Saki, Saki Hollow. I'd prefer it if Lil' Rose's sisters call me Mr. Hollow. You can call me Saki."

"Mr. Hollow! I'm not a little kid anymore!" Ruby wailed out while blushing. This got some laughs out of everyone.

LATER ON PATCH

"So, you saved Ruby, and practically raised her for 12 years after she refused to leave with the cave raider party that Qrow was a part of?" Summer asked. Saki nodded.

"Yes, but she seems to still have the intent to return with me to the Abyss once she graduates." The Narehate said with a steely expression. Summer, Taiyang, and Raven glanced at the eldest rose child, who at the moment was trying to figure out how to use a scroll with Yang and Sapphire's aid.

"If she does, what will you do Mr. Hollow?" Taiyang asked him. Saki sighed. "I don't know."

"Don't mean to be rude by changing subject, but I absolutely love the tea and food. They're both exquisite. And I mean it, considering that I've been eating food you'd most likely gag at. Took Ruby a bit, but she got over the weirdness of some creatures being edible." The Narehate said

"Thank you for your compliment, Mr. Hollow."

THE NEXT DAY

"I can't believe I'm going to Beacon with both on my sisters." Yang said bringing sapphire into a bearhug. Saki watched in mild amusement as Ruby pealed her younger biological sister free of Yang's iron grip before arguing with her.

The Narehate tuned everything out until he saw a blonde boy rushing towards Ruby and her sisters. "Ruby motion sickness six o'clock." He called out in his native tongue

"Why'd your friend..?" Yang began to ask ruby before the elder rose sibling leapt onto the rafters before leaning back whilst staying aloft by a hand.

"So cool!" Sapphire said with stars in her eyes. "Why are you up there?" Yang asked. "to stay away from you Yang." The abyss resident Rose said. "Why?" Sapphire asked

"Yang's got puke on one of her shoes." The Scarlet Rifleman said. this caused her siblings to simultaneously look down. "Gross. Gross. Gross." Yang said before eying sapphire's cloak.

"Don't you dare Yang! Get away from me!" the azure reaper squawked before bolting. The blonde brawler then eyed Saki's tail. "Maaa, I dare you to try. If you do, I'll cut your hair into a bob cut. Ruby would gladly help." The Narehate said with a smile. Yang shivered.

The smile was anything but kind. That theory was confirmed by the sound of ruby partially unsheathing her tanto. "I get the message." She said. "Good." The Narehate said before his terrifying smile turned into a sympathetic one. "There's some wipes by the garbage cans."

A/N: Thus end chapter 2 of the AU of The Amazing Mr. Hollow. You're probably wondering are Roman and Cinder dead? The answer is yes. Like its original, Salem doesn't exist, which means no Fall. Cinder was a part of Roman's gang. What's become of Mercury and Emerald you're asking? Wait and see.

Also Sapphire Rose, she's a character in my bad batch story but is a clone of ruby in said story. In this one, she's ruby's biological sister.
