Dashing diagonally to dodge a whip, Inuyasha continues to avoid the attacks of the demoness that was terrorising the surrounding area. It was just the boys this time. Kagome said she had exams to study for while Sango needed to get supplies and repair the Hiraikotsu. Of course, the half demon would rather keep moving and looking for shards than being stationary so here we are.
A nearby village ran into some trouble with a rogue witch wrecking havoc as she passed through the villages. Kaede had so kindly asked for their assistance; with the promise of a handsome pay, of course they said yes.
And besides, Miroku won't admit it out loud but he could relate to hanyou. He too was feeling angsty and pent up as well, for different reasons though. So a little pest control is great for relieving some tension.
Miroku ran forward and used his wind tunnel, pulling the witch back towards him, closing it while they were mid air. Inuyasha took the opportunity and slashed at them with his claws inflicting damage and flinging them to the ground.
"Curse you, half demon! And you damned monk!" they sneered. Clutching the open wound on their chest, Miroku could see the other hand rummaging in the satchel they carried.
"Inuyasha, be careful!"
"Keh, small fry can't hurt me." Inuyasha tried to draw his sword to attack but the witch was quicker to draw and a white sparkly dust was thrown towards them. Miroku managed to block its trajectory, blocking his face with his sleeve but Inuyasha wasn't so lucky.
"What the ..?" The dust hit the half demon in the face and he frantically started sneezing and rubbing his eyes. Miroku was quick to his side with a bottle filled with water Kagome had left behind, holding his head back and pouring it on his face .
"What the hell was that witch?"
She chuckled. "That wasn't exactly what I wanted but it might do the job. Good luck dealing with him, damned monk!"
With one barely good eye, Inuyasha quickly drew his sword and directed a wind scar towards the witch. She disintegrated with a shrill scream.
Finally, that was over. They had proved to be difficult in the beginning by making low life demons and humans they turned into monsters attack them. Small fry but all irritating still, they got through them with little injury to themselves except for right now.
Inuyasha was on his knees, face a little red from sneezing and rubbing his face, clearly inflamed. His eyes watered heavily trying to flush the foreign body out of it. Miroku was to his side and held his face in his hands.
"Hey, hey! Calm down and breathe through your mouth, take deep breaths."
Inuyasha felt like his lungs were on fire, throat was scratchy and it was hard to swallow. His eyes were also burning and the coolest thing he could feel were the hands on his face and soon the water that was poured onto his forehead.
"Talk to me Inuyasha. How are you feeling?"
"Everything…..burns, " he replied, voice raspy.
"Drink the rest of this. There's a river nearby. Come on, I know you can make it," the other man encouraged while handing Inuyasha the bottle and putting his arm on his shoulder for support. The half demon all but clung to the other man's side as they staggered through the forest to the river bank. Miroku still being the coolest thing outside of the furnace his body was currently creating, not fully understanding why. That was one problem.
The other was the separate internal battle he seemed to be having with what he thinks is himself.
"Get out of me!"
"Can't do that cause we're you."
Currently, he is surrounded in darkness. Miroku missing, sending him into a further panic.
"We need to calm down. We're gonna scare him away," said another voice.
"We?!"
Inuyasha was looking at himself, sitting against the dark wall. He couldn't see its eyes behind the bangs; only the crooked smile and the gleam of his canines. He snarled at it, going to draw his sword only to realise it was missing.
"We still have our sword, just not in here." Light filtered in through two holes that opened up above its head, giving a visual of the outside. It was like he had been shrunk down small enough to fit inside a giant's head; his own head. Through the holes he could see Miroku's and his own feet, moving forward and staggering to support the half demons' weight.
"Just a little more…almost there." Miroku's voice rang soundly against the dark walls like he was right next to him. His relief to know the monk was fine was cut off by the presence infront now standing of him.
"But yes, we," the other him said, confirming his double.
Inuyasha sneered at himself, finally being able to see its eyes. Everything about it was a splitting image of himself, except for the red coloured eyes learing back at him.
"Which part of me are you then? The evil in my heart?" Inuyasha mocked. It cackled a laugh in response.
"Oh much worse," it cackled, "We are your desires manifested because you've been rejecting something you don't want our sweet little monk to know."
Inuyasha's eyes widened in surprise before he tackled himself to the ground grabbing him by the collar.
"Leave him out of this!" he demands.
"He is literally the centre of this. Nothing will stop what will happen, just relax and let it play out. We feel it'll end very well."
On the outside of his head, his body moved on its own; still clinging to Miroku's shoulder and side as they stumbled closer to the banking. Body feeling heavy and his senses becoming hazy to the world except for Miroku. Inuyasha wanted nothing but to bury his face in his neck and inhale all that is the man trying so hard to hold him up.
Finally reaching the waters edge, Miroku slowly brought both of them to their knees and Inuyasha immediately put his face in the water. Exasperated, he held his sliver locks back from getting wet.
"Seems we can't defeat a foe without a casualty," he commented while putting his staff down. "Do you feel okay?"
Miroku's hand grazed the skin on the back of his neck and the fire in his body got hotter. Inuyasha's head snapped upward and he slapped the hand away, jumping a few feet away from the monk.
'Good luck dealing with him, damned monk!' The witch's words replayed in his head, guessing this was what he assumed was the start of a change happening to Inuyasha. Not sure of what to expect, he stood slowly, clutching a few sutras he stashed away inside his robe with his staff in his other hand. He may have to subdue his friend till he finds out what is really happening to him. The villagers might have an idea.
"Inuyasha? Can you hear me?" He could see the side of his face from his crouched position but his bangs hid his eyes. Oddly enough, Inuyasha was smiling and that couldn't be good.
"We can hear you loud and clear, Miroku ."The voice answering him sounded morphed and layers, sending a shiver down the monk's spine. Slowly putting some distance between the half demon that was getting up, the monk took a few steps back readying himself for an attack.
"What are you and where's Inuyasha?" he demanded.
"We're right here and as for what, we think it'd be much nicer...to show you."Inuyasha began to steadily stalk towards him causing the monk to walk backwards. Suddeny Miroku watched Inuyasha hand punch himself in the face stopping his ascent. "Inuya…"
"Stay away from me, Miroku!" he growled the warning. It was his voice and only his this time.
"Talk to me, Inuyasha. I can't help if you don't give me something," he can see he's trying to fight whatever is trying to take control but before Miroku could take another step, Inuyasha rushed him. He ripped the staff away from him and pinned him against a tree. The hand that held the sutra pinned above his head. His clawed hand gripped his jaw pushing it to the side bearing his neck. Inuyasha pushed his leg and pressed it against the monks crotch and whispered against his neck.
"Were you going to use these? Hmm, it would hurt alot, Miroku. We know you don't want to hurt us." he taunted.
Miroku stood frozen, unsure of what to make of anything, but he could see his eyes now. He watched his amber eyes slowly fill, changing its colour from amber to bright red. The monk tried to but couldn't look away as if stuck in a trance till he felt Inuyasha leg grind against his crotch.
"Inuyasha….please…." he gasped out trying hard not to moan.
"Not how we imagined you begging for mercy, monk. But it'll do for now", he said while dragging his nose against the shell of his ear and licking his jaw.
Suddenly the monk's body felt heavy and hot, even the hand being held to the tree began to burn, making him drop the papers. The monk's body was responding heavily to the half demon's menstruations and Miroku started to panic, pushing against Inuaysha with his free hand.
"Wait, Inuyasha…wait …STOP!"
Inuyasha pushed off his body off, jumping back several feet to put distance between them. Miroku slid down the trunk panting and stared after the half demon. The red had faded and was replaced with amber, but something was still off about them. The half demon looked mortified and feeling shame for what he had just done, he took off.
