Author's Note:

Hey everyone, it's been a long time since I've posted anything I know. I'm still trying to polish Prologue B of 'To Save Magic and Exact Revenge'. However, as I was looking through my old stories, I realized that, now that I'm older, I'm not happy with the Harry Hadrian Snape series. I love my premise for it, but I could have done better. Those that reviewed for the HHS series telling me the story is crap will be glad to know that I also agree that the story was so badly written that it makes me cringe. I'm literally ashamed, especially considering that later stories are better written out.

So I will be re-doing that series. This is going to be that Rewrite. This story will merely cover the time before Hogwarts, then I'll have the Sorcerer's Stone up afterwards. There are going to be a lot of changes- starting with the birthdates and the prophecy- and honestly, it could just end up being its own story, I'll leave the original stories up until after I get the new ones up then they'll be taken down, but this will be the new focus as I go through the stories and hope that something will kick start my brain with the Magic and Revenge story. Please let me know your thoughts and feelings on this story! It would be a big help.

Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter. Harry Potter and the wizarding world belong to J. K. Rowling, and I am merely playing the puppet master!

Summary:

Harry James Potter's older twin Liam Michael Potter is presumed to be the Boy-Who-Lived. Harry is sent to live with Petunia and her family where Severus Snape saves him when he's nine years old. Living with someone who cared about him, befriending the Malfoys, and managing the connection he had with the being that was once Lord Voldemort, Harrison Hadrian Prince is ready to learn what it means to have someone care about him and to have friends and family. And how to prepare for the challenges ahead of him.

The Prophecy that sets everything into motion:

'The one with the power to vanquish the evil in our world approaches... born to those who have thrice defied the Dark Lord, born as the seventh month dies... And the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, and he will possess a power the evil knows not... and evil must die at their hand, for neither the Dark Lord or his equal can live while the evil survives... The one with the power to vanquish the evil will be born as the seventh month dies...'

0. Prologue and Prophecy

James Potter helped a very pregnant Lily Potter through the floo and into the office of Headmaster Albus Dumbledore. Also in the office was an equally pregnant Alice and Frank Longbottom. Once the two soon-to-be mothers were seated as comfortably as they could be with being so close to their due dates, they finally turned to the old wizard who was lacking the usual twinkle in his eyes. "Why are we here Albus?" James asked. Albus looked aged in a way none of them had seen him in quite some time.

"There was a prophecy about Voldemort and a child born at the end of July who will defeat him, James. And only your families fit the description." Albus said.

"No!" Frank growled. "There has to be a mistake Albus! Our children are not going to face that deranged monster!" The women and James were nodding their agreement with Frank's words.

"There is no mistake, Frank. The Prophecy goes thus:

'The one with the power to vanquish the evil in our world approaches...

This obviously is referring to Voldemort.

born to those who have thrice defied the Dark Lord, born as the seventh month dies...

There is only your families that have defied him three times and have children due at the end of July.

And the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, and he will possess a power the evil knows not...

The child will be marked as his equal and have a power he's unaware of that will be vital in defeating him.

and evil must die at their hand, for neither the Dark Lord or his equal can live while the evil survives...

And this indicates that it will be him that must vanquish him, as the child cannot live so long as Voldemort is alive.

The one with the power to vanquish the evil will be born as the seventh month dies...'

This is the prophecy that foretells one of your children defeating him. I don't like this anymore than you do, but one of your children will be the savior of our world." Albus told the families gently. The two couples were frozen in dread and disbelief at what they had heard. "There's another reason I called you here, other than just to inform you about the prophecy." Albus told them, after letting them come to terms with what he had told them. They looked at him sharply. "I believe that you should all go into hiding once the babies are born. Voldemort has heard at least part of the prophecy and could very well target your families once he's deciphered what he's heard. My suggestion is the Fidelius Charm and I implore you to do so as soon as your children are born." he told them gravely. Albus watched the two couples leave his office and sighed heavily before a small smile touched his aged face. 'This war is almost over.' he thought with relief, not noticing the wary look Fawkes gave him.

"That's good, Lady Longbottom, just a little more!" The medi-witch encouraged the brunet on the hospital bed.

"Push Alice! Just a little more honey!" The disheveled man next to her told his wife. It wasn't much longer before a baby's cry filled the room.

"Congratulations Lord and Lady Longbottom, you have a healthy heir." the witch told them, handing the small bundle over to the woman. They smiled at the small bundle of pink flesh.

"Oh, Alice. He's perfect just like you." Frank told his wife softly. She smiled.

"He's going to be strong like you Frank." she murmured tired but content. "What should we name him?" She wondered with a grin.

"How about Neville Augustus Longbottom?" Frank asked, a mix of the names both of them had discussed over the past several months. Alice nodded.

"That sounds perfect." she agreed.

"Just a little more Lady Potter. I see the crown now." The medi-witch ordered. "Give me one more strong push." The medi-witch smiled at the cry that filled the air. "A healthy heir." she informed with a grin as she handed the average sized baby boy over to a nurse to clean. "Take a moment to rest my Lady. We still have one more to go." the lady encouraged.

"You can do this Lils." James supported his fiery haired wife who was currently crushing his hand.

"Get ready Lady Potter. It's time to start again." The medi-witch said, getting back into position after the woman had had a chance to catch her breath. Once more, James Potter felt his hand beginning to be crushed as the red-haired woman began to push again. "He's almost here my Lady." the medi-witch encouraged. A weak cry was barely heard barely a minute before midnight struck. The medi-witch tensed as she registered the baby in her hands- well, hand. He was tiny. Too tiny, really. She had never seen a baby this small. "Murdoch! Get him to a monitoring chamber immediately!" Medi-witch Cross barked to her second nurse who was quick to take the baby and rush off.

"What's wrong?" Lily demanded weakly.

"He needs to be monitored Lady Potter. He's too tiny and needs to be observed for any complications." Medi-witch Cross informed the woman. "Nurse Sweeting, see to Lady Potter and their first son." she ordered before running after Murdoch and the smallest child she had ever had to worry about. As she left, two men were led into the room, the one with lighter hair, Remus Lupin, worriedly following the medi-witch with his eyes as she rushed off.

"What's going on?" the dark-haired man asked watching a medi-wizard taking a vial of calming draft from Lily's lips. This was Sirius Black.

"They took the youngest to a monitoring chamber." Lily replied fretfully, moving her eyes to the son that was being bathed and given required shots in the room with them. But the worry for her youngest was palpable even to the non- werewolves.

"I'm sure he's going to be fine, Lily." Remus assured the woman. It took quite some time before the woman was calm enough to speak again.

"You're right." she said with a confidence she didn't feel in the slightest. "Where's Peter?" She asked in concern as she kept an eye on her oldest who was almost done being bathed. She noted he had a tuft of red hair. He was going to take after her, she realized.

"His mother needed help. She's not doing well." Sirius explained softly.

"Oh, poor Peter!" Lily gasped. "Is he okay on his own right now?" she fretted.

"He insisted that he'd be fine. He's stronger than he seems and he's done this before." Sirius assured her. That was when the nurse approached and handed Lily her first born.

"Here you go. A healthy eight-pound baby boy. Do you want to name him now? Or do you want to wait for your youngest?" the nurse asked gently.

"For our youngest." James answered. The nurse nodded. It took nearly 45 minutes before Medi-witch Cross returned with their youngest. Lily was desperate to get her youngest, only for him to go to the nurse from before who began to run the monitoring charms.

"I do need to talk to you about your youngest." she said. "Your youngest is rather tiny. He barely reached five pounds. His lungs were barely functioning and his heart beat was weak. We were worried he wasn't going to make it." she admitted to them, horrifying them all.

"What?!" she raised a hand and requested some silence.

"We were able to stabilize him." she informed them. "However, he will need to be monitored for a couple weeks, either here or under the eyes of another professional healer. There is a chance that even with constant monitoring, there's a good chance he'll never fully develop like other kids will and he'll most likely develop asthma and a weak constitution. Be prepared for that." she informed them. "Currently, both your boys have their shots and vaccines." She informed them. It wasn't what they had wanted to hear and Lily felt herself tear up at the struggles of her youngest. "I'm sorry." Cross told them sympathetically. "I know that wasn't the news you wanted to hear. However, he could possibly out grow this. He won't be average, but he could still grow up healthy. The first couple years will be the most crucial. But there is hope." She assured them. That did provide some comfort, they supposed. "For now, would you like to name your sons?" She asked. They nodded furiously as Lily took the youngest.

"Merlin he's so small." she cried softly.

"He'll be fine. He's a Potter. He'll pull through." James assured his wife, hugging her gently while being careful with their two sons. Especially the youngest. She nodded, a little more assured.

"So, what are their names going to be?" Remus asked softly.

"The oldest will be Liam Michael Potter." Lily said. Michael after her father and Liam after James's great-great uncle on his father's side.

"And this little guy." James smiled gently at the smallest, finger brushing against his cheek. "He'll be Harry James Potter. And we'd like the two of you to be their god fathers." James told the men who were surprised, not having expected that.

"Remus, we want you to be Harry's godfather and Sirius, we'd like for you to be Liam's." Lily requested.

"I thought Snape was supposed to be one of their god fathers." Remus said confused.

"We discussed it with Sev. He's worried that having a god son from the light side while playing spy could potentially put said godson in danger. Being Little Malfoy's godfather would be more accepted due to his position." Lily explained.

"I guess Snivellus isn't too bad." Sirius muttered, getting a weak slap from Lily.

"Do you accept or not?" She asked with a tired but fond huff.

"We accept." they said happily.
