It was around six in the morning as Dan had approached Training Ground 12. He looked and saw Naruto approaching with Sasuke, Sakura, and Hinata. They all looked groggy, but knew they would wake up with what they were about to do.
"You prepared?" Dan asked.
"As prepared as we can be." Naruto said. Dan then nodded and got serious.
"Then let's get to work." Dan said.
Taijutsu Training Pt. 1, McGarrett Style
It had been a few minutes as Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and Hinata were panting as they ran, Dan leading the charge. Dan soon stopped and the others followed suit.
"We really need to run more." Sakura said.
"That was only a few minutes." Dan said.
"Seriously?" Naruto asked.
"Seriously. Now," Dan said, "we work on strengthening your muscles, and building up Chakra."
"How?" Sasuke asked. Dan then went to one of the logs, having put a protective covering over it, and lightly punched it.
"We'll take turns striking the log." Dan said.
"How will that help?" Sakura asked.
"It will strengthen our muscles," Dan said, "and help us improve our punches and kicks."
"That makes sense." Sasuke said.
"The rest of us will be learning to gather Chakra." Dan said.
"Is that why you have leaves over there?" Sakura asked.
"It is. They'll be helping. Those that aren't doing either," Dan said, "I'll be teaching Taijutsu. Namely, Hinata and Naruto."
"I hope Father doesn't get mad that I'm learning Taijutsu that isn't the Gentle Fist." Hinata spoke.
"He won't. Trust me." Dan said.
"Okay." Hinata said. Dan gave a nod and looked at Naruto.
"I'll be teaching you Taijutsu first, Naruto. Hinata, start by striking the log. Alternate your hands as you do so. Sasuke and Sakura, you'll be using the Leaf Concentration Exercise to gather your Chakra." Dan said.
"Alright." Sasuke said.
"Let the training begin." Dan said.
[Meanwhile….]
Hiruzen sighed as he read yet ANOTHER report of a Genin being killed.
'This is starting to get old real quick.' Hiruzen thought. He set the report down, and two people stepped in. Hiruzen looked confused.
"What brings you here, Inoichi?" He asked.
"My daughter has something to give you." Inoichi said. A young girl then placed a small vase of lavender on Hiruzen's desk.
"Lavender?" Hiruzen asked.
"You've been reading mission reports that include the deaths of Genin, right?" The girl asked.
"I have." Hiruzen said.
"This will help ease the stress from you." The girl said, smiling. Hiruzen gave a small smile.
"How thoughtful. Thank you!" He said.
"You're welcome, Lord Hokage!" The girl said.
"Come on now, Ino. We need to get you home." Inoichi said.
"Okay, daddy!" Ino said. As they were leaving, Hiruzen took a sniff of the flowers.
'The Yamanaka know their flowers. Lavender is good for relaxation and stress-relief. It has a calming effect.' He thought.
[Hours later, at Training Ground 12….]
Naruto and the others panted and Dan nodded.
"Whew! This training is tough." Naruto said.
"Never said it would be easy." Dan said.
"How can you do this stuff without getting winded like us?" Sasuke asked.
"I've learned to control my breathing. The more control you have on your breathing," Dan said, "the easier it is for you work out longer. You've all done great so far, but that was just a warm-up. Now, the REAL training begins." Dan then threw four Training Kunai at their feet.
"Huh?" Hinata asked.
"Training Kunai?" Sakura asked. Dan then motioned to a training dummy.
"I'm going to show you how to use the Taijutsu I'm teaching you effectively." Dan said.
"Why the training dummy?" Naruto asked.
"Because he will act as the assailant." Dan said.
"Huh?" Sakura asked.
"The attacker. He's saying we'll be practicing on the training dummy." Sasuke said.
"Ah!" Sakura said.
"This will help you all know how to improve your skills. I haven't even shown you any REAL Taijutsu yet." Dan said.
"Wait," Hinata said, "Taijutsu is hand-to-hand combat! Why are we using weapons?"
"Simple. I'm going to show you how to do it on the training dummy," Dan said, "and you're going to practice it on each other. Hinata will practice with Sakura, and Naruto will practice with Sasuke. This is exactly what I learned from Ezio, and it's the basics of all forms of martial arts in general. This is heavily defense-oriented. Meaning you'll be looking for weaknesses to exploit so you can go on the attack."
"Isn't that what the Byakugan and Sharingan do?" Naruto asked.
"Not quite." Dan said.
"Huh?" Naruto asked.
"The Byakugan," Dan explained, "the Kekkei Genkai of the Hyuga, allows them to utilize the Gentle Fist because it allows them to see the Chakra Network of their opponents. Depending on the order they hit the Chakra points, they can increase the Chakra flow, or completely stop it. The Sharingan, the Kekkei Genkai of the Uchiha, allows them to copy the Jutsu of their opponents. They eyes themselves can be used for Genjutsu, as well as Taijutsu and Ninjutsu. The only downside is they can never copy another Kekkei Genkai, like Lava Style, or other secret techniques, like the Hyuga's Gentle Fist or the Akimichi's Expansion Jutsu."
"What does that have to do with the Taijutsu you're teaching us?" Naruto asked.
"Because those styles of fighting are similar to the Taijutsu I'll be teaching you. It's all about reading your opponent's next move." Dan said.
"Is that why you had us start by exercising?" Sakura asked.
"That was to help you build endurance." Dan said.
"So the strikes on the log were to help us gain muscle memory for where to aim our punches and kicks." Sasuke said, catching on.
"It also helps you build up the muscles in your arms, hands, and legs so you can withstand attacks better." Dan said.
"Meaning it can help me improve the Gentle Fist!" Hinata said. Dan gave a smile.
"Now you're catching on." Dan said.
"Everything we do is a form of training! You're showing us the basics before we even get to the Academy!" Naruto said.
"That way," Dan said, "you'll be better prepared."
"Does this mean you're training us to be like you?" Sakura asked.
"I'm in no way teaching you how to be Assassins. I'm just helping you in Taijutsu so you can better protect yourself." Dan said. Sakura nodded and Naruto smiled.
"Let's get started then!" He said.
"Alright," Dan said, "copy my stance." Dan then got into a basic fighting stance and the others copied it. That is, except for Hinata. Naruto looked at her and rose an eyebrow.
"Hinata," Naruto spoke, "why are you in the stance for Gentle Fist?"
"Because I can sense Father watching me from afar. I don't want him being mad." Hinata said. Dan sighed and stood normally.
"Take five you four. I'll have a word with him." Dan spoke. The others stood normally before watching Dan go to a tree. He then glared and Hiyashi sighed, showing himself.
"Hinata's very perceptive." Hiyashi spoke.
"Do you trust me?" Dan asked.
"I do." Hiyashi said.
"Then why are you watching me train her when you know I'm helping her?" Dan asked.
"The elders are paranoid. They want her to be sent to the branch family and have her younger sister, Hanabi, succeed as the Clan Head. They solely want her to master Gentle Fist. No other forms of Taijutsu." Hiyashi said.
"You put your foot down. As the current Clan Head," Hiyashi said, "you have the authority to make ALL decisions of the Hyuga. The elders are just advisors. You want what's best for Hinata, right?"
"Of course I do!" Hiyashi said.
"Then go to the Hyuga elders and have them prepare a sparring match against their single best besides Neji," Dan said, "and have it be with no weapons, no ring outs, and FORBID the use of the Byakugan. That way, it makes it an even fight."
"A training spar? What will it prove?" Hiyashi said.
"You'll see. I suggest you get it set up now. Let me handle training your daughter." Dan said. Before Hiyashi could speak, Dan had walked away. Hiyashi looked nervous, but put faith in Dan and walked away to get the spar set up. When Dan got back, Hinata was nervous.
"D-did it go well?" She asked.
"He's going to discuss something with the elders. Now," Dan said, getting into his stance, "get into the stance. Time for the real training to begin." All four mirrored Dan's stance, causing Dan to get serious.
'This will show them how effective other styles are.' Dan thought.
[Later that day….]
[Hyuga Clan Compound]
Hinata stood in a ring in front of the Hyuga elders, Naruto and Dan watching with Sasuke and Sakura. Hinata's mother, Hitomi, was worried. However, she was reassured by Hiyashi.
"Have faith. Dan knows what he's doing." He whispered. Just then, another Hyuga entered and the elders got serious.
"This training spar will be a one-on-one between Hinata Hyuga and Kagami Hyuga. Per orders of the Clan Head," an elder spoke, "this spar will have no weapons, no ring-outs, and no usage of the Byakugan."
"What?!" A Hyuga asked.
"The Byakugan is forbidden?!" Another asked. Kagami gave a grin, getting in the stance for Gentle Fist.
"I don't need the Byakugan to defeat this weakling." She spoke. Hinata then got serious and got into her own Gentle Fist stance.
"The only one seen as weak," Hinata said, "is one that puts up a bravado." Kagami gave a glare, but Hiyashi gave a firm one. Kagami then grit her teeth.
'Damn it! I almost forgot about the stipulations. Not being able to use the Byakugan makes it hard on both of us. However,' Kagami thought, her grin returning, 'I can still show how to beat her easily without using the Byakugan.'
"Are both ready?" An elder asked. Hinata and Kagami looked determined and nodded.
"BEGIN!" Another yelled. Kagami made the first move and time slowed for Hinata. She read the attack and time resumed as she caught it and struck Kagami in the chest with a palm before spinning around and elbowing her in the lower back, causing Kagami to fall and land on her face.
"Ah!" A Hyuga said.
"What the?!" Another asked.
'That was not in the Gentle Fist move set!' An elder thought. Kagami then got up as Hinata now stood in a modified Gentle Fist stance.
"That isn't Gentle Fist! You're cheating!" Kagami said.
"I believe the stipulations called for the Byakugan to not be used. That makes Gentle Fist half as effective." Hinata said.
"She's right!" A Hyuga said.
"They're fighting at half strength!" Another said.
'I wondered why Hiyashi called for this. I think I know why now. That brat she keeps hanging out with.' An elder thought.
"You may be fighting at half strength," Hinata spoke, "but I haven't held back."
[ Flashback]
[At Training Ground 12….]
Dan approached the training dummy, getting into his stance. He then punched the dummy in the stomach before spinning behind and striking the dummy in the lower back with an elbow, making the dummy move forwards.
"In most cases," Dan said, "an opponent will try and put you at a disadvantage. You need to identify your opponents openings before they notice they have them, and use them to your advantage."
"How so?" Sakura asked. Dan then motioned to Hinata.
"Try and attack me with a Gentle Fist strike." Dan spoke. Hinata then got in the Gentle Fist stance, charging at Dan. However, Dan had read the attack and caught it before putting an open palm at her chest, stopping before it made contact.
"H-how did?!" Hinata asked.
"Your movements were too rushed," Dan said, "and it created an opening. A ninja must see through deception, but deception can come in many forms. To see through deception, you must first hone your instincts." Dan then let Hinata go and she stood back. She then got more determined and charged again. This time however, her movements weren't rushed. Dan read the attack again and dodged it, but Hinata gave a quick turn and put a hand at his chest, just barely touching it. Hinata was impressed with herself.
'I…. I did it!' She thought.
"You're improving." Dan said.
"Way to go, Hinata!" Naruto said.
"This is a unique form of the Gentle Fist you have," Dan said, "and you can utilize it both with AND without the Byakugan. You can call it…"
[ Flashback Ends]
"That still wasn't Gentle Fist!" Kagami said.
"It was. I just modified it to suit my style. I call it the Guardian Fist." Hinata said. Kagami growled and stood up, her Byakugan now activated.
"Kagami! The stipulation!" An elder said.
"FUCK THAT!" Kagami yelled. She then charged at Hinata, full speed, but Hinata glared seriously and caught the attack again, taking Kagami to the ground and putting an arm behind her back.
"Yield." Hinata said.
"NEVER!" Kagami said. She then fought out and got distance. However, Hinata quickly recovered and Kagami stood in a familiar stance. Dan recognized it and glared.
'Does she mean to humiliate Hinata?!' Dan thought.
"I've completely mastered it! Gentle Fist Art: 8 Trigrams 64 Palms!" Kagami said.
"Kagami! Enough!" Hiyashi ordered. However, Kagami didn't listen, charging towards Hinata. Time slowed as Hinata caught the attack and closed her eyes.
"The conditions have been met, Father. She escalated this spar into a battle. As heiress to the Hyuga Clan, I must be the one to put her in her place." Hinata said. Time then resumed as Hinata threw Kagami back, before opening her eyes, activating her Byakugan. Kagami went to get up as Hinata stood in her own stance. A Hyuga elder gasped and Dan gave a grin.
'Show them the results.' Dan thought. Kagami struggled to get to her feet, looking at Hinata before the realization hit her.
'What?!' Kagami thought. Hinata focused and saw that Kagami was well within range.
"Gentle Fist Variation:…." Hinata spoke.
"What?!" A Hyuga asked. Neji then got to the front and looked shocked.
'Cousin Hinata?!' Neji asked. He saw the stance before looking over and seeing Dan and Naruto smiling. Neji caught on and gave a grin.
"Kagami is the best and brightest of the Hyuga right now! What is Lord Hiyashi thinking?! He needs to stop this farce!" Another Hyuga said.
"Have faith in Lord Hiyashi." Neji said.
"Huh?" Two Hyuga asked, looking at him. Neji gave a smile before looking at Dan.
"He knows what he's doing." Neji said. Kagami then successfully got to her feet and charged at Hinata, looking to deal the final blow. However, her senses caused her to freeze up as she felt the intent from Hinata.
"Why did she stop?" An elder asked. One looked to Hiyashi , but was looking past and glaring at Naruto.
"That boy must have something to do with it." They spoke. Hiyashi then looked over to the elders and shook his head. They all caught on as the realization hit them. The earlier strikes to the chest and back had been infused with Chakra. They all looked at Kagami and saw she wasn't frozen because of paralysis, she was frozen because of fear. Dan gave a smile before Naruto closed his eyes.
' It was at this moment, she knew…… she fucked up.' Kurama said. Kagami's eyes went wide as she went to use 360 Rotation, but Hinata never gave her a chance.
"Guardian Fist Art: 8 Trigrams 64 Palms!" Hinata said. Hinata then charged forwards with immense speed, causing Kagami to gasp.
'Shit! She's too fast!' Kagami thought.
"8 Trigrams… 2 Palms!" Hinata said. She then struck two key points and Kagami froze in place.
"What?!" An elder asked. Hinata got even more serious and Kagami knew she was done.
"4 Palms!" Hinata said, striking four points.
'No way!' Kagami thought. Hinata kept striking at this point, her hands being a blur.
"8 Palms! 16 Palms! 32 Palms! 64 Palms!" Hinata spoke. Time then slowed as Hinata reared an open palm back and the elders eyes went wide.
'Impossible!' They thought. Hiyashi smiled and gave the nod to Hinata.
"Finish her, Hinata-chan!" Naruto spoke. Hinata got even more serious as an aura surrounded her, making Kagami fully realize it.
"I fucked up." Kagami muttered. Time resumed as Hinata showed determination.
"8 TRIGRAMS 64 PALMS!" Hinata yelled, striking Kagami's chest with force and authority.
"KYAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!" Kagami yelled, being forced back and sent to the wall. The impact caused her to fall forwards, but she landed on her hands and knees. Kagami then panted before looking up, seeing Hinata's gaze from the ring. Hinata got back into her stance and glared intently.
"Do you yield?" Hinata asked. Kagami went to stand, but soon felt the impact of the strikes and clenched her eyes. She then lowered her head before shedding tears.
"I yield." Kagami said.
"What?!" An elder asked.
"I yield! I yield! I YIELD!" Kagami yelled. Hinata then stood normally before bowing to Kagami.
"Thank you for the spar." Hinata said. Kagami sobbed before getting her breath.
"Thank you for the spar." She spoke. Hiyashi then went to the elders, getting serious.
"The teachings of the Hyuga have gotten too predictable. As such," Hiyashi said, "I propose that a few promising Hyuga learn another form of Taijutsu that the Gentle Fist may work with, and form their own variations. Hinata is the perfect example, having learned some Taijutsu from her friend, Dan McGarrett. He helped his friends in the basics, but Hinata had formed her own style of Taijutsu from it, and incorporated Gentle Fist. This has strengthened her abilities, and the spar has proven it."
"You exposed the Byakugan's teachings?!" An elder accused. Dan then got in front, his glare making the elders freeze.
"He didn't expose them. I caught on to them. As have all your enemies. The Hidden Cloud in the Land of Lightning being a key one. Why do you think they attempted to abscond with the Byakugan twice?" Dan asked.
"Ah!" An elder gasped.
"Hinata's dubbed her Taijutsu the Guardian Fist. This will allow her to improve on the Gentle Fist, too." Dan said.
"She developed it from your teachings?" An elder asked.
"All I did was show them the basics. The rest is up to them." Dan said. Hinata then stood near Dan, glaring at the elders.
"If you ever accuse my father of betraying the clan again," she spoke, "you'll be experiencing my Guardian Fist first-hand. Is that clear?!"
"Yes, Lady Hinata!" The elders spoke, tensing up. Hiyashi gave a proud grin.
"That's my girl." He said. Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura then approached and Hinata looked at them.
"That was amazing!" Sakura said.
"You were awesome, Hinata!" Sasuke said. Hinata gave a light blush, looking away a bit.
"You're just saying that." She said.
"No," Naruto said, "they aren't."
"Huh?" Hinata asked, looking at Naruto.
"What they're saying is the absolute truth. Don't doubt your abilities. You bested one of the best and brightest Hyuga using your OWN form of Taijutsu. Even your cousin is proud of you! I know I am!" Naruto said, his smile bright. Hinata then smiled and hugged Naruto, which shocked him at first, but he smiled once more and returned it.
"Thank you, Naruto-kun." She spoke. Dan then went over to Kagami and held out a hand. Kagami took it and helped her up.
"She really did a number on me, huh?" Kagami asked.
"Let this be a reminder. Not everyone is weak. Some just hide their strength for when they need it." Dan said. Kagami looked at Dan in shock.
"Why would they hide it?" She asked.
"Because if one shows their strength each time," Dan said, "it will become their greatest weakness." Two Hyuga medics then walked over and Dan walked away. Kagami stopped him, however, and he looked at her.
"W-will you show me?" She asked.
"Only you know how to hide your strength. That is something not even I can teach." Dan said. The medics then started treating Kagami as Dan walked back towards Hinata.
"How about we get some ramen to celebrate Hinata's win?" Sasuke asked.
"Sounds good to me!" Naruto said.
"B-before that," Hinata said, "I…. I need to say something." Hinata then broke the hug with Naruto, looking into his eyes.
"Hinata?" Hiyashi asked.
' It seems you're about to hear something you never expected.' Kurama said.
'What do you mean?' Naruto asked.
' Just listen to her, Naruto.' Kurama said. Sasuke and Sakura looked confused, but Dan gave a smile.
'Guess she finally got the courage.' Dan thought.
"Naruto-kun," Hinata spoke, "I know we haven't known each other long, but…. I…. I see you as more than a friend. Even if you don't see me the same way. I know I'm being selfish by doing this in front of my clan, but…. I can't go on another day without saying it."
'Hinata?' Naruto thought.
"Naruto-kun," Hinata said, "I…. I had developed a crush on you. However, in such a short time, those feelings grew. Hearing what you had gone through in the village, not knowing whether or not the Civilian Council would have you banished from the Hidden Leaf, it made me sad. That's when I realized I had more than a crush on you."
' Catching on yet?' Kurama asked.
'Is she… confessing to me?!' Naruto thought.
"Naruto-kun," Hinata said, "I…. I don't know if you feel the same way, but…. I…. I love you." This sent a shock to everyone listening. Dan, however, gave a grin.
'Called it.' Dan thought.
"W-what?" Naruto asked. Hinata blushed deeper, but stayed firm.
"I love you, Naruto-kun. I would do anything, and I mean ANYTHING, to just stay by your side. If your life was in danger," Hinata spoke, "I would risk mine to save it. If you needed help, I'd always answer the call. If you were feeling sick, I'd be there to help you heal. If you were feeling sad, I'd do my best to comfort you. If you were feeling happy, I'd be there to celebrate with you. I don't care what anyone else says or thinks. If I were given just one wish, it would be to be by your side for all eternity as your wife." Naruto's eyes widened in shock, and time seemed to stand still.
'Hinata-chan….' Naruto thought.
"I don't expect an answer now," Hinata said, "but I'm willing to wait as long as it takes to hear what you have to say in respo- MMPH!" Hinata got cut off, but not by anyone in the Hyuga. Sasuke's jaw dropped, Sakura put her hands to her mouth, Hiyashi was stunned, the rest of the Hyuga were speechless, and Dan simply gave a smile. Hinata blushed deeper as she soon realized what was happening. The one who cut her off was Naruto, and he had done so by kissing her. Naruto held Hinata close, to which she gave in and seemed to melt into his embrace. Her blush faded as Naruto broke the kiss.
"If we weren't children right now," Naruto said, "I'd take you up on that wish to be my wife." Hinata gasped as Naruto smiled.
"Naruto-kun," Hinata spoke, "d-does this mean what I think?!"
"Is Jiraya of the Sannin a huge pervert?" Naruto asked, grinning. A Hyuga elder then did a spit take and Hitomi started laughing. Hinata giggled before looking into Naruto's eyes again.
"Guess the answer is obvious." Hinata said.
"Yeah," Naruto said, "but I'll say it simply for clarity." Naruto then moved some hair out of Hinata's eyes, smiling.
"Naruto-kun." Hinata spoke. Naruto gave a soft smile and Hinata put her hand on his.
"I love you, too, Hinata-chan." Naruto spoke. The two then shared another kiss, causing Hiyashi to smile.
'Guess we would be in-laws if you were here, Minato.' Hiyashi thought. The two broke the kiss and Hitomi approached them.
"I'm proud of you, Hinata." She said.
"I assure you that I will never hurt her, Mrs. Hyuga." Naruto said.
"Just call me 'Hitomi' from now on, Naruto. You know," Hitomi said, "I was great friends with your mother. She really earned the nickname 'Red-Hot Habanero' when she was younger. She only had eyes for Minato, though. She got that nickname because of how she brutalized anyone who made fun of her red hair."
"I see." Naruto said.
"Minato always seemed to love it." Hitomi said.
'Maybe I should dye my hair red.' Hinata thought.
"Don't you dare, Hinata." Naruto said.
"Huh?" Hinata asked.
"You don't need to dye your hair. It's perfect the way it is." Naruto said.
"H-how did you know I was thinking that?!" Hinata asked.
"It's obvious you wanted to see if I still loved you if you had red hair. I'd love you even if you were bald. You don't need to look pretty to impress me. You just have to be yourself." Naruto said. Hinata smiled and blushed.
"Oh, Naruto-kun!" She said, hugging him. Dan smiled, but he soon went on alert and glared. He then got in front of Naruto and Hinata, grabbing two Kunai meant for them. Everyone gasped and Dan grew serious as he saw the Former Civilian Council Head with a disgusted look on their face.
"Attacking two children," Dan said, "and one of them is the Hyuga heiress. You must have a death wish."
"The only one with a death wish is that Demon Fox brat by staying in the village. If the Hokage won't do anything, I will!" They spoke. Dan then closed his eyes and his intent grew serious.
"For that to happen," Dan said, "you'll have to go through me." Dan's eyes then shot open, revealing a Dark Blue Sharingan, but it was only in the initial, or Novice, stage.. The Former Head then gasped and stepped back.
'Damn it! I forgot that the Uchiha had gifted him with new eyes that contained the Sharingan! It might have a different color,' they thought, 'but they work the same without a doubt!'
'He unlocked his Sharingan!' Sasuke thought.
"Lord Hiyashi," Dan spoke, "what is the punishment of those who attempt to take the life of your daughter?"
"There is only one punishment befitting: death." Hiyashi said. The Former Head glared and charged, but was taken aback by how fast Dan moved and took them down. Dan used the Kunai they threw to immobilize their legs, causing them to scream out in pain.
"Sweet Kami!" A Hyuga said.
'That was fast!' Sakura thought.
' Remind me never to piss him off.' Kurama spoke.
'Duly noted!' Naruto returned. Two ANBU then showed up and took the Former Head into custody.
"We'll have Ibiki-san talk to him." One said.
"Have him checked by medics first." Dan spoke. The two ANBU left with him in a shunshin and Dan sighed, his Sharingan deactivating.
"You have saved my daughter once again, Dan." Hiyashi said.
"Put it on my tab." Dan said, making a light joke. Sakura giggled and Hitomi went to him.
"Perhaps we could assist in Hinata's training." She spoke.
"That would only complicate things as she is the only one out of us five that can utilize Gentle Fist effectively." Dan said.
"Who said it was Taijutsu?" Hitomi asked.
"That's what I've been training her in." Dan said.
"He's got a point." Hiyashi said.
"Anyways," Dan said, "I need to get going. I have my own training to do."
"What about your gift?" Hiyashi asked.
"What could you possibly give me?" Dan asked. Neji then approached and held out a piece of metal. Dan immediately recognized it and took it.
'How?!' Dan thought. Sasuke was about to say something, but Dan forced the piece down in his hand, revealing it to be a concealable baton.
"I had discovered this while training. Perhaps you could use it more than I." Neji said.
"What is it?" Naruto asked, intrigued.
"A concealable baton." Dan said. Dan then got in a stance before giving some practice strikes using the air.
"Ooh!" Sakura said.
"Seems you're familiar with it." Neji said.
"This is something from where I'm from originally. My father used it," Dan said, "and he showed me how. This will definitely help me. Thank you, Neji."
"That doesn't count as your gift. It will be ready tonight." Hiyashi said. Dan then closed the baton and sighed.
"Just don't go overboard." He said. Dan then walked away, Sasuke and Sakura following him.
[Later that night….]
[Dan's Apartment]
Dan sighed as he was lying in bed. He looked out his window, seeing the night sky. However, no matter what he did, he couldn't sleep. He soon got out of bed, looking at the time. It was 12:30 AM.
'How am I awake at oh-dark-thirty?' Dan thought. He then heard something slip under his door, looking to see an envelope. Dan approached and picked it up, opening it. He then looked inside and pulled out a piece of paper.
"Dan," the paper read, "I fear the attempt on Hinata and Naruto was only the beginning. I wish not to reveal my identity, but I ask for your assistance. For you see, I have a large amount of respect for you. I have a lead on some unique weapons that may prove useful to you. However, it's too dangerous for you to try and acquire them now. I shall wait to reveal this information to you until the day you graduate from the Shinobi Academy. Do not forget that you must hone your skills not only as a Shinobi, but also as an Assassin. For this, I have written you. There are some targets who seek to cripple the Hidden Leaf from within, and some who seek to cause our friendly ties with others to be severed. You should be able to identify them using your gift, but they may be aware that their days are numbered. For this reason alone, you should meet me. There is an abandoned building just south of Training Ground 44. I will be waiting there. Bring your gear, including what you received from Orochimaru. -A Friend." Dan went on alert, thinking back to when Orochimaru had died.
[ Flashback]
[Uchiha Compound, Sasuke's House]
"There's a key in my pocket. Take it. You'll find more use for it than I will." Orochimaru spoke.
[ End Flashback]
Dan then went to where he put the gear and equipped it. He then grabbed the key and stealthily left.
[Abandoned Warehouse]
Dan was hidden on a rooftop, looking from above at the location. He activated his Eagle Vision and saw one in gold on the inside. He then stealthily ran and jumped off the roof, his Eagle Vision still active. He quietly landed in a hay cart before exiting it and deactivating Eagle Vision. He then made his way inside and used the shadows to blend in. That was when he saw someone trying to open a chest.
"Damn it! This key won't fit!" The person said. They then pulled out a lockpick, looking to open the chest that way. However, Dan had made his way to them and grabbed them from behind. He then faced them towards a wall with a sheet covering it and put the Hidden Blade at their throat, causing them to gasp.
"Scream and you're dead." Dan spoke. The person was frozen in pure fear.
"Please. Don't kill me. I'm just a treasure hunter and merchant!" The person pleaded.
"Then why are you sneaking around an abandoned warehouse in the Hidden Leaf?" Dan asked. The person quietly gasped and went to scream, but Dan was faster and slit their throat. He then released them, causing them to fall on more sheets that soaked up the blood from them. Dan then looked at the chest and approached it. He pulled out the key he got from Orochimaru and put it in the slot. It was a perfect fit. He then unlocked the chest and opened it, revealing another Hidden Blade, a sword, some other weapons that he didn't recognize, and a coat with the Hidden Leaf insignia on a metal plate at the left sleeve. He then saw a note and picked it up. The note read as follows: "To whoever finds these items, they are not to be used lightly. The Brotherhood will surely try and retrieve them. Should I be killed, I will give the key to this chest to the one who takes my life. Should you not be the one with the key, I ask that you leave these items. If you have the key, and you unlocked the chest with it, these items are rightfully yours. They belonged to Misaka, before her life was taken by Danzo. She trusted me with her secret, and she told me she was the last of her kind. The Brotherhood I speak of are ones employed by a shipping magnate: Gato. They wished to sell these items, and make more to sell. Misaka asked that I hide them, and that I not reveal this secret to anyone. I entrust this secret to you, and leave you with this message. May the Creed guide you." Dan then got serious and took his bag off his back. He then put the items inside, having the sword attached to the bag next to the other, and got serious. He looked back to the one he killed and wrapped them in the sheets. He then removed all traces of evidence that a murder was committed, but went on alert and drew a Kunai.
"Impressive. Your skills are impeccable." A voice spoke. Dan then looked and saw four wolves.
"You're from that den in Training Ground 44." Dan surmised.
"We are. Gosei had spoke of this place as he felt a disturbance. Now we see why. You had killed a thief." One spoke.
"Seems there was a security measure I didn't know about." Dan said.
"Au contraire, young cub. Gosei is a wise, attentive wolf. This warehouse is within his range of sense." Another spoke.
"We will dispose of the thief's corpse. You just focus on getting out of here." A third said.
"Speak nothing of my presence unless my name is spoken." Dan said.
"You have our word." A fourth said. Dan then left through an open window and left the area.
'I need to inform the Hokage about this in the morning.' Dan thought. He then ducked into an alley on instinct, watching as two thugs looked around.
"It's been longer than usual for him. Think he got collared?" One asked.
"Something tells me that gear is a bit more trickier to obtain than he thought. Probably had to use a lockpick." The other said.
"That gear will make Gato tons of money at the right price. He said he can break into any chest with no problems." The first said. The thugs then went into the same alley as Dan to avoid detection from two Leaf Shinobi. Dan used it to his advantage as the two had gotten to his level. He held Kunai at their throats and they froze.
"Scream and you're dead." Dan spoke.
'How the Hell?!' One of them thought.
"I overheard you say something about a chest with gear inside of it. What does Gato plan on doing with that gear?" Dan asked.
"He wants to sell it to other Shinobi. Make a profit from it." One spoke.
"Do you know what gear is in the chest?" Dan asked.
"All we know is it belonged to some girl that bested Gato by taking down one of his operations in the Hidden Sand. He heard she was killed," the other spoke, "and wanted her gear so he could sell it and get that operation back up and running. He was adamant about it."
"What was the operation?" Dan asked.
"We don't know." The first spoke.
"We're only looped in on his dealings with the Mist and the Land of Waves." The second spoke. The two went to draw swords, but Dan glared and they froze again.
"You gave me information," Dan said, "so I won't kill you. However, if I come across you again, I won't hesitate. Your hired thief is dead, and was thrown to the wolves. There is a short window of escape for you, as the guard change occurs quickly since Orochimaru's death. I suggest you spend less time trying to kill me, and more time booking it to the village gate. Move!" Dan removed the Kunai from their throats and the thugs hurried out, not even looking behind them.
'Looks like I have my first target whenever I become a Shinobi.' Dan thought. He then casually walked out, grinning as he was soon joined by Itachi and Kakashi.
"You knew we were following you this whole time, didn't you?" Kakashi asked.
"Why admit what you already know?" Dan asked.
"We already informed the Hokage. We were looking for you anyways. The next Academy classes start tomorrow. Take the day and relax." Itachi said.
"Don't you mean they start in a few hours?" Dan asked.
"No," Itachi said, "they start tomorrow morning. It's almost 5:30 AM right now."
"Your timing of this is impeccable. We were starting to think you weren't going to use your skills again." Kakashi said.
"Sasuke and Sakura will be spending time with each other today. As will Naruto and Hinata. What will you be up to?" Itachi asked.
"Seeing what some of the weapons I acquired can do. This broken sword is of no real use. I can probably have it smelted to be used for something else." Dan said.
"Follow us." Kakashi said. The two took Dan to the blacksmith near the gate and they smiled.
"Good to see you again. Looking for some training gear?" They asked. Dan then took his bag off and revealed the broken sword.
"What can you make out of this?" Dan asked. The blacksmith then looked shocked.
"You're looking to smelt this? I can easily repair it!" They said.
"The missing piece is lost," Dan spoke, "and it can never be recovered." The blacksmith was stunned.
"A shame. I suppose I can turn this into a Kunai. Would this be acceptable?" They asked. Dan then had a better idea. He opened the bag and revealed the second Hidden Blade, as well as some of the smaller weapons he found.
"What could you create using that broken sword and these?" Dan asked. The blacksmith looked at the weapons, intrigued.
"These small weapons are darts. Each one has a different use: Sleep, Poison, and Paralysis. The blade is like the one on your wrist right now. I might have something." They spoke. They then looked around before revealing a glove made out of Kevlar that went up to the forearm.
'A glove?' Dan thought. Time then stopped and Dan looked around. He then saw two Assassins: Jacob and Evie Frye.
"Seems this blacksmith has the right idea." Jacob spoke.
"How so?" Dan asked.
"This glove goes to your forearm. Like the ones that my brother and I wear." Evie spoke, showing her right arm.
"The Assassin's Gauntlet." Jacob said.
"That sword was once a Piece of Eden. However," Evie said, "given how it now looks, the power is no more. It's just a broken sword. You have the right idea of smelting it, but he doesn't know how to combine it properly."
"You have our training and memories," Jacob spoke, "but you can't access them until the situation calls for it."
"This is such a situation." Evie said.
"Wait," Dan said, "are you saying that I can still add stuff to these?"
"The weapons Misaka had were to create a Gauntlet," Jacob spoke, "and you can create a means to deflect swords, daggers, and others like it by smelting down some of that junk in your bag. However, it will take you a few days to do it yourself with no training."
"Yet a trained blacksmith can do it in just a day. If not less!" Dan spoke. The twin Assassins smiled and left, causing time to resume. Dan then pulled out some pieces of metal, some wire, an arrowhead, and a small case of flares.
"Whoa!" The blacksmith said.
"How long would it take you to make two Gauntlets using these items?" Dan asked, taking the Hidden Blade off his wrist and setting it down. The blacksmith was shocked, but gave a grin.
"Seems Misaka had the right idea, too." They spoke. Dan went on alert.
"You knew her?" Dan asked.
"I did," the blacksmith said, "and I can definitely make what you're asking. In fact, I can improve on it since you have that case of flares."
"How much?" Dan asked.
"No charge," the blacksmith said, "and it won't take me long at all. Just stand there and watch." The blacksmith pulled out the matching glove and set it on the table. He then got to work, and Dan was impressed. The blacksmith started by getting the broken sword and the small pieces of metal smelted. He then put the gloves on a mannequin and got the molds ready.
'For these to be effective,' the blacksmith thought, 'the blades must not be hindered. I can make a Dart Launcher and a Flare Launcher at the top of the right Gauntlet, and have a small buckler attached to the top of the left to give him added protection. That wire and arrowhead gives me an idea! I can add THAT to this!' The blacksmith then smelted the wire and arrowhead before adding in some spare pieces of metal he had. The moment it was all together and combined, he poured them into the molds. He then got to work and utilized every technique he knew. He then pulled out a broken launcher and attached the proper mechanisms to the right Gauntlet. Afterwards, he got to work on polishing everything up, making sure they were looking nice, and attached everything together. He then removed the finished product off the mannequin and smiled. He looked to Dan, nodding.
"Your order is ready." They said. The blacksmith then revealed the gloves and Dan was amazed. Kakashi was impressed, and Itachi was shocked.
"Amazing." Dan said. He then put the gloves on and flexed his wrists, revealing both Hidden blades.
"Remarkable!" Kakashi said.
"I can make adjustments to them as you grow." The blacksmith said.
"Is that real, solid gold you made the right one with?" Itachi asked.
"It is," the blacksmith said, "and I made the small buckler on the left out of galvanized steel. I included a Dart Launcher and Flare Launcher on the right. Try out the Dart Launcher on those thugs over there. The one on the right is an insomniac, the one in the middle is highly attentive once his friends are hurt, and the one on the left has a kill-on-site order in every Hidden Village. Afterwards, use a flare to summon any nearby ANBU that are on patrol." Dan then gave a grin and uses a Paralysis Dart on the middle thug, a Poison Dart on the left thug, and a Sleep Dart on the right thug. The middle thug fell down immediately, causing the other two to look at them in concern. The left one then gasped and gripped their chest before coughing up blood and collapsing. The right one went to run, but soon got dizzy and collapsed, falling asleep. Dan then rose his right arm in the air and fired off a red flare. A group of six ANBU then appeared and saw the downed thugs. Itachi was impressed.
"Amazing!" He said.
"That's not all. I managed to repurpose an old launcher I had found. You can now climb all types of buildings with great speed using it." The blacksmith said. Dan then caught on.
"You added a Zipline Launcher?!" Dan asked.
"That I did. Feel free to test it out on that building. The wind had blown one of my fabrics onto the roof." The blacksmith said. Dan then ran towards the building and fired the launcher when he got close, using footholds to get to the top. He then picked up the fabric and fired the launcher again, this time descending back the blacksmith's stall. Kakashi could hardly believe it, and Itachi's jaw dropped. Dan then held out the fabric to the blacksmith, grinning.
"You've done me a great service. Thank you." Dan said.
"Anytime. Feel free to stop by if you need to restock on darts or flares." The blacksmith said. Dan nodded and walked away with Itachi and Kakashi in tow.
"Something else to tell the Hokage." Itachi said.
"I think he'll soon know." Dan said.
[Ichiraku Ramen]
Naruto smiled as he waited for his order, looking at Hinata.
"I've never tried the couple's menu before. Guess it might be big enough for us to share." Naruto said. Hinata giggled before putting her head on his shoulder. He wrapped an arm around her, smiling.
"I hear you'll be starting the Academy tomorrow, Naruto. Are you nervous?" The shop owner asked.
"A little," Naruto admitted, "but I'll have friends there to help me."
"Plus," Hinata spoke, "you'll have me."
"Aww! That's so cute and sweet!" The owner's daughter said. The order was then placed in front of them, causing the two to smile brightly. They started eating as someone walked in.
"Welcome!" The owner said.
"I'll take the standard." They spoke, sitting not too far from Naruto.
"Coming right up!" The owner said, getting started. The person looked at Naruto and Hinata, feeling slight happiness at the two of them.
"Put their order on my bill." They spoke. That got their attention and the two looked at him.
"Are you sure? It's pretty pricey." Naruto said.
"I'm sure. You're starting the Academy tomorrow, right? You need all the funds you can get." The person said.
"Thank you, mister!" Hinata said. Some water was then set in front of the person, and they grabbed it.
"My name… is Jiraya." The person said. Hinata gasped.
"One of the Sannin?!" She asked.
"You've heard of that, huh? You know Orochimaru was one, too. Before he went absolutely bonkers trying to gain immortality." Jiraya said.
"That," Naruto said, "and the Sharingan."
"Oh?" Jiraya asked.
"Don't play dumb. Dan told us about you already." Naruto said. Jiraya tensed up.
"I had no idea you knew him." He spoke.
"He's even helped train us in Taijutsu! He's a great friend." Hinata said.
"Is that an attempt to make me jealous?" Naruto asked. Hinata giggled.
'I see. The two are dating. Such a young age for it,' Jiraya thought, 'but I can understand why. Especially with Sarutobi-sensei reinstating the old teachings. To think the Civilian Council was so bigoted. I might not have liked them, but I pity the fools.'
"You're making your father proud, Naruto." Jiraya spoke.
"Huh?" Hinata asked.
"You knew my dad?" Naruto asked.
"I helped teach him," Jiraya said, "and he even taught me a Jutsu: Rasengan."
"Rasengan?" Naruto asked.
"Perhaps I'll show you when you're older." Jiraya said. Jiraya's order was then placed in front of him and Hinata smiled.
"I heard that you write novels now." She spoke.
"I do," Jiraya said, "but they're not for children. They're adult novels."
"Adult novels?" Hinata asked, confused.
"He means it involves making babies." Naruto stated. Jiraya nearly choked and did a spit take before coughing.
"Ah!" The owner said.
"Are you okay?" The owner's daughter asked. Jiraya then caught his breath and nodded.
"I'm fine. I'm fine." Jiraya said.
"How do you know that, Naruto?" Hinata asked.
"Because he's also known as the Pervy Sage more than as the Toad Sage." A voice spoke. Everyone looked and Jiraya was stunned as Dan walked in with Kakashi and Itachi.
"Yo." Kakashi spoke.
"One Beef with Mixed Vegetables, coming up!" The owner said. Dan then sat in between the three and Jiraya got nervous.
"You've seen my record." He spoke.
"Nope," Dan said, "but I have seen 'No Jiraya' signs outside of the hot springs and the bathhouse."
'Of course that would be a giveaway.' Jiraya thought. [Author's Note: Womp womp.]
"Put his on my bill, too." Jiraya said, slightly downtrodden.
"If you need research material," Dan said, "look at old mission reports of past Kunoichi."
"Huh?" Jiraya asked.
"Most Kunoichi in the past had seduced their enemies for information," Dan said, "or made love to them in an attempt to get them off their guard and vulnerable. They had to be pretty detailed about it, too, most likely. Try asking the Hokage for those reports, and you can have it written off as a business expense on your taxes." Dan's order was placed in front of him and he started eating.
"That's… actually a good idea. Why hadn't I thought of that?" Jiraya asked, drinking more water.
"Because you think with your dick more than your brain." Dan said. Jiraya did another spit take and Hinata laughed, Naruto joining in. Dan gave a grin and Jiraya looked at him in shock, but it was soon replaced with a grin and he gave a light chuckle.
"A child like yourself scolding me on my habits. You're making me feel old, kid." He spoke.
"Tends to happen when you've had to see that type of stuff growing up." Dan said.
"How many hearts have you broken with that demeanor of yours?" Jiraya asked.
"What makes you think I have?" Dan asked. Jiraya was shocked.
"You haven't gotten a crush yet?!" He asked.
"Is Tsunade Senju a terrible gambler unless trouble is brewing?" Dan asked.
"Touché." Jiraya said. Dan then finished eating and sighed. He then placed a wad of bills on the counter, causing Jiraya, Naruto, and Hinata's jaws to drop.
"It's on me. This should be enough to cover their orders," Dan said, "and expand this place for more seating. I'm sure you're tired of simply having a stand. With your food, you need to be able to seat more than just seven to eight people. Call it an investment." The owner was shocked.
"How did you get this much?!" Jiraya asked.
"Someone with a KOS order appeared in the village. That was part of the reward I got for it," Dan spoke, "and I got a reward for two other thugs that had high bounties on them. Not that I'm bragging or anything."
"Eh." Jiraya spoke, unable to find the proper words.
"I'll be back later tonight." Dan said, getting up and leaving.
"Thank you for your patronage!" The owner's daughter spoke.
"That's more than I make completing a mission." Jiraya said.
"That's only a small amount, too." Kakashi said.
"Huh?" Jiraya asked. Itachi then pulled out a paper.
"This was the combined reward," he spoke, "taxes taken out and everything." Jiraya took the paper in curiosity and opened it, his face soon went to one of disbelief.
[Meanwhile….]
At a small gambling house in the Land of Water, a woman was smiling as she had set down a briefcase full of bills. However, before she could open it….
"WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!?!" A voice yelled, causing what looked like a ramen stand to go into the sky before falling down. The woman looked back, recognizing the voice.
'Jiraya?' The woman thought. She immediately grabbed the briefcase and motioned a younger woman to follow her. The two ran to a horse stall and the woman showed the briefcase.
"I need to purchase the fastest horse you have!" She said.
'Jiraya never screams like that. Something must have happened.' The woman thought.
"We don't have any for sale," the stall owner said, "but we do offer a one use Flying Raijin for 250 Ryo." The woman slammed the briefcase down and opened it, pulling out a small wad and slamming it down, shocking the stall owner.
"Me and my associate need to get to the Hidden Leaf." She spoke.
"I thought you said you'd never go back!" The younger woman said.
"That scream was Jiraya. He NEVER screams like that." The older woman said. Before the younger woman could speak again, the two disappeared from the stall and appeared outside of Ichiraku Ramen. The older woman then went in and the owner was shocked. Jiraya looked and his jaw dropped.
"T-Tsunade?!" He asked.
"You never scream like that, Jiraya. I heard it all the way in the Land of Water! What happened?!" She asked.
"Our friend just financially humiliated him." Hinata said.
"Huh?" Tsunade said. Jiraya then held out the paper and she took it.
"This was the combined total of a triple bounty reward." Jiraya said. Tsunade opened the paper and her face went to one of disbelief.
[Meanwhile….]
Hiyashi was helping his wife make tea for some guests, but suddenly….
"ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?!?!" A voice yelled, the ramen stand going into the air once more. The screaming caused hot tea to spill onto the counter and they had tensed up.
[Hokage's Office]
Hiruzen had finished looking at important documents and sighed. However, he soon went on alert as Tsunade burst into the office.
"Ah, Tsunade. What a nice surprise." Hiruzen said.
"Cut the shit, old man! Why is a child that hasn't been through the Academy yet getting paid the current amount of debt that I owe as a reward just for taking down three thugs?!" She asked, her tone livid.
"Those three thugs were three of the most wanted in the Great Shinobi Nations." Hiruzen said, causing Tsunade to shut up.
"Just who is this kid?" Tsunade asked.
"His name is Dan McGarrett," Hiruzen said, "and he's also the one responsible for killing Orochimaru." This sent Tsunade into shock.
"W-what?! O-Orochimaru is dead?!" Tsunade asked. Hiruzen gave a motion for her to sit next to him, to which she did.
"I have MUCH to update you on." Hiruzen said.
[Dan's Apartment]
Dan sighed as he went to get a shower, but a knock on the door stopped him. He went to it and opened the door to see Tsunade with a younger woman.
"Tsunade Senju," Dan said, "as I live and breathe. Here to challenge me for my reward money to pay off your debts?"
"Au contraire. I don't want your money." Tsunade said.
"So you mean to kill me to avenge your former teammate." Dan said.
"That's not it either." Tsunade spoke, her demeanor shaken.
"Bull." Dan said. Tsunade then cursed herself.
"Tch! Sarutobi-sensei was right. You ARE attentive." She spoke. Dan then sighed and shook his head.
"Alright. Get it over with." Dan spoke. Tsunade was shocked and the younger woman gasped.
"Look," Tsunade said, "I admit that I want to kill you because you killed Orochimaru, but that doesn't mean I WILL! I just want an explanation as to WHY you did it!"
"He was experimenting on others to gain an Immortality Jutsu," Dan said, "and he tried to take Sasuke Uchiha for his Sharingan. Happy?" Tsunade was even more shocked.
'Not even an ounce of hesitation!' Tsunade thought.
"I'm about to get a shower. If you'll kindly excuse me." Dan said.
"Wait!" Tsunade pleaded.
"What now?!" Dan asked.
"I…. I just… wanted to know if you ever planned on becoming Hokage one day." Tsunade spoke.
"Not for me. I don't do politics." Dan said, starting to close the door. However, the younger woman stopped him.
"Please," she spoke, "hear us out. My name is Shizune. You share the same first name as my fallen brother."
"I'm aware of that. I've been taking notes and doing research when I haven't been training for the Shinobi Academy, which I start tomorrow. Hence why I'm trying to get a shower so I can get some sleep before it gets too late." Dan said.
"What will they have you learn first?" Shizune asked.
"Forms if Taijutsu," Dan said, "but I may get asked to teach given how four of my friends already know the basics. They'll just be improving."
"What weapon did you use to kill Orochimaru?" Shizune asked. Dan then motioned to a mannequin to which the two looked and Tsunade was shocked. They saw the Gauntlets, the vest, the sword, and the belt with pouches.
"Where did you get those items?" Tsunade asked.
"I found them after arriving in the Hidden Leaf. No doubt the Hokage has told you of how I arrived." Dan said.
"You know of Misaka then." Shizune said
"Danzo Shimura has already been apprehended. His execution is yet to be determined." Dan said. Tsunade was shocked.
"How did you manage that?!" Tsunade asked.
"I can explain that tomorrow." Dan said. The two then FINALLY got the hint and bowed their heads.
"Forgive us. We haven't meant to keep you." Shizune said.
"I need all the rest I can get." Dan said.
"Have you been training all day?!" Tsunade asked.
"You have no idea." Dan said.
"Guess we will see tomorrow." Shizune said. The two then left and Dan closed the door. He then went and got a shower, but stopped as he saw a girl his age with a Kunai.
"You killed Orochimaru-sama." She spoke. Dan then noticed red hair on the girl and sighed.
"Great," Dan spoke, "another Uzumaki."
"Quit your ple- wait, did you say ANOTHER Uzumaki?" The girl asked.
"I did. My friend, Naruto, is the son of Kushina Uzumaki." Dan spoke.
"I didn't think there were any left!" The girl said.
"Why don't you drop that Kunai and I can tell you about it after I shower?" Dan asked. The girl then approached Dan, putting the Kunai on a table, before giving a light blush.
"How about I join you?" She asked.
"We're only children. We're incapable of doing that type of stuff." Dan said.
"Doesn't hurt to train though, right?" The girl asked. Dan then caught on.
"You were held captive by Orochimaru. You escaped." He said. The girl hugged Dan before kissing his cheek.
"How about we get to training?" The girl asked. She then grabbed Dan's hand and took him into the bathroom, closing the door.
Hinata: Oh, Naruto-kun. I'm nervous.
Naruto: Relax, Hinata-chan. Everything will be fine. Just remember what Dan taught us.
Hinata: The key is focus.
Naruto: Exactly!
Hinata and Naruto: Next Time: Taijutsu Training pt. 2, Academy Style!
Hinata: Maybe we can have Dan show what he knows to everyone.
Dan: I get the feeling that was going to happen anyways.
