While back at the house, Ada went immediately to the office and and file cabinet like Perry told her. She'd been to his office a few times, so she knew how to find it. Would she get to meet this woman she's been talking with over the phone or is it just about work?

Ada was still in tears since leaving Perry's house. No matter how hard she'd tried to stop, there wasn't any luck.

Before going into George's office, Ada went to grab some Kleenex to calm herself down. She would come back later and pack up some stuff before spending time with Perry.

Are these people going to have make her work? She could guess the right answer, which it was. No way was she going to work as volunteer at Perry's office with some people she's never met before.

Before leaving the house with the paperwork she looked for, Ada headed to the Kleenex box one more time since it wasn't working for her. Ada did feel sick to her stomach by crying for a long time, but didn't bother changing her mind about staying home. She promised her son she would do this for him.

She didn't quite catch Della's name was the last time they talked over the phone. She didn't like that kind of first meeting. She also promised her son that she would try calling her friends. Maybe she could do that after leaving the office to drop off the paperwork. A couple of her neighbors were the closest friends she's had, so they understand what she and Perry are both going through and support them.

Ada also told herself try not to get into tears when meeting Della and Paul. That would be embrassing. Some of her closest friends have told her that since she's never been sick in a day of her life she could live to be over a hundred, but found that hard to believe.

A couple of her friends are out of town, so there was no way to contact them for a while since it was vacation time for them. They're retired also, but it gives them more time to themselves. They do understand how lonely she could be without George around.

She made it to Perry's office. Ada knew they wouldn't be open much longer since it was almost time to close for the day, even though they might work overtime.

When Ada made it to the office, she locked the car door behind herself after getting the paperwork Perry wanted her to drop off. She opened the door to let herself in. When she walked in, Ada saw there was a woman at the desk. Would she be the one her son was telling her about?

"Are you Mrs. Mason?" the woman asked.

"Yes."

"Perry said for us to expect you," the woman told her.

"I remember we talked on the phone a few times," Ada replied.

"Yes, we did. Why don't you take a seat and I'll be with you."

Della got up from the desk.

"Paul, she's here."

"Thanks, Della. Do we know her name?"

"Ada. Paul, just remember we have to keep her busy," Ada heard Della say.

"I figured he would do this to me," she said to herself.

"Mrs. Mason, I'm Paul Drake," she saw the man come into the office.

"Della Street."

"Just call me Ada."

Both Paul and Della could see where Perry got his looks from.

"Perry wanted me to stop by and drop off the paperwork you asked for about my husband. I'll be going now."

"Mrs. Mason, he wanted you to stay for a while."

She knew where Della and Paul were coming from - Perry.

Paul and Della also saw Ada didn't look the type of person who needed help with somebody that didn't need it from other people. She was still healthy, and they saw it.

"What is there I can do around here? I promised him I would drop by and call my friends after this visit."

Della noticed the older woman's eyes were red from crying, and that was expected for them to see when she came over.

Now Ada still felt sick to her stomach. This was the second time that happened today.

She had a feeling this would happen and her son said to do something here at the office.

She'll talk with him tonight about it.
