Asmodeus and Sathanas stepped out of the portal when Asmodeus's eyes suddenly widened, sensing something that startled her.
"Oh my God!" She exclaimed, causing her companion to turn towards her.
"What?" Sathanas inquired, one eyebrow raised.
"She did it. She actually did it!" Asmodeus declared, a hint of fear evident on her face.
"Did what?" Sathanas pressed.
"Leviathan... she's pregnant!" Asmodeus revealed, stunning her companion.
"SHE'S FUCKING WHAT?!"
Sathanas was in disbelief. One of the seven had become pregnant, and it was the second most unlikely among them.
"How!? There should be no way for any of us to conceive!" exclaimed Sathanas.
"Hello? I embody the Sin of Lust! It's more likely for me to become pregnant tenfold with those souls in hell. It's my choice not to. And I'm certain that Lucifer will decide to conceive at some point. She's not eager to do so right now," Asmodeus retorted, her eyes rolling.
Sathanas sighed, understanding her perspective. What did this mean for them? Leviathan was pregnant? But with whom? As they ascended the stairs, they saw the Fenton family in conversation with Lucifer.
"As you can see," Lucifer was explaining, "Danny has raised an issue that even I cannot reverse. I'm not fond of it, but we must allow Leviathan to have her child. However, we won't need to address this immediately. Demon pregnancies are vastly different from human ones. It won't be a mere nine months; it takes about nine years for a demon child to be born. Moreover, this is the first instance of one of the Seven Deadly Sins conceiving. Thus, I'm uncertain of the repercussions it will have on us."
The Fenton family sighed, acknowledging her point. Lilith leaped from her seat and embraced her adopted mother, catching her off guard. Lucifer understood the gesture and reciprocated the hug.
"Thank you, Lilith," She said, feeling somewhat consoled.
"I never took you for one to enjoy hugs, Lucifer."
As they all turned, they noticed Asmodeus and Sathanas at the doorway, prompting another sigh from Lucifer.
"Sathanas, the Sin of Wrath, what brings you to Earth?" She inquired, aware that her power was restraining Sathanas's.
"I've heard tales of you dwelling on Earth with a human family, and how you've even taken a king for yourself," Sathanas remarked, then glanced at Lilith.
"And adopted a child," She noted.
"Earth always has ways to surprise me," Lucifer remarked, rolling her eyes.
"I'm aware of your power split. Many are eager to usurp your position," Sathanas interjected.
"I've recovered a few pieces. However, I had to allow some to retain theirs and others I've entrusted with pieces," Lucifer explained, placing a hand on Lilith's head.
"How did things fare with your sister, Asmodeus?" Jazz inquired.
"She's under control. She has a few... let's call them playmates, to occupy her for some time," Asmodeus responded with a smirk.
"Where's Leviathan? We need to have a discussion," Sathanas questioned, scanning the room.
"I'm right here."
All eyes shifted as the Sin of Envy entered, caressing her abdomen.
"Greetings, Sathanas," she greeted with a sly grin.
Sathanas shot her a glare, then removed her axe from her back, placing it on the table before approaching Leviathan.
"WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING?!" She roared.
"You are aware of my past, Satan," Leviathan retorted, rolling her eyes.
"Do not address me as such. That is no justification! You are well aware of the dread that surrounds the prospect of your offspring!" Sathanas exclaimed, radiating light.
"Stand down, Sathanas," Lucifer commanded, exhaling wearily.
Sathanas glanced back at the Sin of Pride, observing her head shake.
"I merely pointed out that we are powerless regarding Leviathan's unborn child. Even my sister concurs. It displeases us all, yet we are left with no alternative," Lucifer stated, approaching.
"You may have triumphed this time, Leviathan. However, be forewarned. Should this recur, the opinions of others will be of no concern to me," Lucifer declared, her eyes ablaze.
"Should it happen again, I will ensure you rue the day you coupled with my king. And I will incarcerate both your progeny without hesitation!" She proclaimed in a demonic timbre.
Leviathan growled in response, swiftly placing her hands over her stomach.
"Touch them, and I'll tear your hands off myself!" Leviathan threatened before Sathanas intervened.
"Speaking of the new king, where is that charming lad?" inquired Asmodeus.
"He's grounded," Jack and Maddie replied in unison, exhaling deeply.
"On what grounds?" Asmodeus questioned, puzzled.
"For making Leviathan pregnant," Jazz replied.
"Huh, I knew he was attractive, but I didn't realize he could impregnate one of us," Asmodus mused.
"Though I had no idea she would use me to conceive," Danny remarked as he entered the room.
Sathanas regarded him, noting his slight frame without much impression. Yet, she recognized the remorse he felt for his actions, evident as he remained unresponsive to Asmodeus's advances.
"Hello, Danny," She purred.
"Our date will have to wait," He declared, gently pushing her away.
Lucifer sighed, aware of Danny's contemplative state.
'He is merely human. I may not grasp what my father sees in humanity, but one lesson they've taught me is the virtue of aiding others' well-being. This doesn't equate to forgiveness; he has yet to learn his lesson,' She mused, approaching him.
Danny took a seat, and Lucifer, placing her hands on his shoulders, began to massage them gently before leaning in.
"I remain upset with you. However, I acknowledge your remorse. Now, be honest, do you regret impregnating Leviathan?" she inquired, prompting a heavy sigh from Danny.
"I...don't know," Danny murmured, bowing his head.
Even Leviathan was taken aback by his words.
"I just wanted to make her feel better. She was alone, having lost everything when her mate died. I wanted to be of assistance...," Danny said, growing increasingly upset with himself.
Sathanas could detect his self-pity, which reminded her of Justice's self-doubt during her training. Leviathan blinked. Indeed, she had conveyed all that to Danny; she was truthful. Yet, witnessing his distress made her question whether she should have been more mindful of others' perceptions. Perhaps she was deceiving herself, shifting the blame onto others when she shared the responsibility.
"I'm sorry," She said, and everyone turned to her, taken aback by her words.
"I was trying to shift the blame onto others, making excuses because I didn't care about their opinions. I was really tired of being alone. When I heard that this boy had won the queen's favor, I felt envious. It's in my nature to take what I don't have from others, acting like Mammon," She admitted with sadness.
"I've been here only a week, and I'm already expressing myself like a human. But that doesn't mean I'm devoid of other emotions. I've experienced love before, and I can recognize the love between them. I can't change the past, but I promise not to coerce anyone into this ever again," She concluded, sighing deeply.
"Levia," began Asmodeus.
"I still blame myself," Danny admitted, his gaze falling.
"Then grow up and move on!" Sathanas exclaimed, prompting him to look up again.
"You heard her; she can't change the past. None of us can! So quit your moping and overcome it! If you let this trouble you, you're no different from the weaklings I contend with!" She declared, confronting Danny.
"Humans are far too fragile! Cease your self-pity and focus on the future. If Lucifer can forgive you, then you must forgive yourself and move past it!" She continued, catching Danny off guard.
"I despise weaklings, especially crybabies!" Sathanas stated, snorting in disdain.
"Danny, this is Sathanas, the Sin of Wrath," Lucifer introduced, taken aback by her candidness.
"And the teacher of Justice," added Asmodeus.
"I still haven't forgiven you for taking my top student," Sathanas growled.
"Oh? What happened to 'growing up and moving on'?" Lucifer smirked.
"Shut it!" Sathanas growled, seizing her axe.
"Put that away, Sathanas. You know you can't carry that on Earth," Lucifer said, catching her off guard.
"Since when did you care about the rules?" She asked, puzzled.
"As I've repeatedly said, Earth is not like Hell. I may have told the town I exist, but I never disclosed where I'm staying or what else I'm doing," Lucifer said, rolling her eyes.
She then turned back to Danny, who was still looking down. He was evidently pondering Sathanas's words but remained upset with himself. Lucifer seemed poised to speak before Asmodeus launched herself at him.
"I think I know a way to cheer you up," She said with a smile.
"Asmodeus..." Danny began.
"I'm not accepting 'no' for an answer, and you know it," Asmodeus interrupted.
"Lucifer, with your permission, I would like to date your king now," She stated, looking at her.
"Denied," Lucifer responded, to her surprise.
"My king has committed a crime against me. I must teach him a lesson. All deals and ideas are postponed until the punishment is delivered. That's an order," Lucifer explained.
"And you, Leviathan, will join him. I won't harm your unborn child, but you will pay for defying my orders," She added, turning to the Sin of Envy.
Under normal circumstances, Leviathan would have dismissed such a threat with scorn. However, the sight of Danny's pain and distress compelled her to acquiesce.
"Very well. But harm my child, and I will retaliate," She declared, her resolve unyielding, signaling her determination not to forfeit what she had sought for so long.
Lucifer acknowledged with a nod, aware of her tenacity. Meanwhile, Sathanas observed the group, puzzled by the change in their demeanor.
'What has this planet done to them?' She wondered, her bewilderment evident.
I've returned with another chapter. Sathanas has arrived on Earth and discovered Leviathan's pregnancy. Lucifer has explained to the family what Danny said before meeting her fellow sins. Leviathan has acknowledged her part in the events, showing a more human side. The premise is that the longer the sins stay with Danny, the more human they become, yet their inherent natures cannot be simply erased.
In the next chapter, Danny will spend time with Sathanas to understand her better and attempt to liberate Tucker from Lucifer's power. I'm also contemplating introducing another character who will encounter Lucifer's power, Valerie. Whether it will mirror 'Shades of Grey' remains undecided.
Regarding the demon pregnancy, I initially thought it would take 90 years for a demon to be born, but I've reduced it to 9 years. Thus, Leviathan's child will not be born until Danny turns 23, sparing anyone the responsibility of caring for a newborn demon for an extended period.
The next sin to be introduced is Mammon, although her appearance is still under consideration. My goal is to introduce all Seven Sins before Sam is released from Lucifer's power.
