Back at the Casagrandes' apartment complex, the family was still acting rather crazily with Carlota having gone missing. Frida, probably the worst out of everyone there, seemed to be out of it very badly. Though she seems calm now, painting a picture of a cruise ship, trying to ease her mind off of what's been happening.

Frida:"Aaahhh..."

As she finishes her picture, she examines it with a satisfied smile on her face...before taking a bat and smashing the canvas to pieces.

Frida:"(slamming the bat against the canvas) AAH! RAH! GRRA! HAAGH! AAGH!"

While she destroyed the beautiful painting she just created with uncontrolled rage, CJ and Bobby were at the door of her room, the latter shakingly carrying a plate with tea and a batch of oatmeal cookies Rosa made in the hopes of calming Frida down. Bobby slowly went into and presented the plate to his crazed aunt.

Bobby:"H-H-Here you go, Tia. Abuela made them to help calm your nerves."

Frida:"(suddenly calm again) Thank you, Roberto. These are just what I needed after a long and stressful."

Bobby:"But it's only eleven o'clock. (Frida points the bat at him) ...Nevermind."

With that, Bobby and CJ quickly make themselves scarce while Lincoln and Ronnie Anne were on the coach, watching the news when they could hear Frida crying while eating.

Frida:"¡Ay, mi hermosa hija! I want my Carlota back so badly! I can't imagine what's happening to her right now."

Lincoln:"This is getting out of control. Even by my standards. Frida must really miss Carlota, huh?"

Ronnie Anne:"I know. It's driving us all crazy. I wish there was something we could do about it."

Lincoln:"Well...why don't we go and try and find Carlota ourselves."

Ronnie Anne:"What? Lincoln, that's wishful thinking, but-"

Lincoln:"No, just hear me out. And have the others come in too."

A few seconds later, Ronnie Anne called in the rest of her family to hear what Lincoln has to say.

Lincoln:"Alright, listen everyone. I know you are all missing, Carlota so bad, but I think I might have a plan to find her and get her back."

Carlos:"You do?"

Lincoln nods, but is suddenly caught off guard when the unhinged father of Carlota takes him by the shirt and raises him up to meet him at eye-level.

Carlos:"Well, don't just stand there, keeping us in suspense! Tell us what your plan is!"

Lincoln:"Ah!"

However, before he could do anything crazy, Carlos got hit upside the head with la chancla, courtesy of Rosa as he puts Lincoln down and falls to the ground unconscious.

Rosa:"hijo mío loco. Lincoln, what was this plan of yours, mijo?"

Lincoln:"(gets up and dusts himself off) As I was saying, I'm planning on some of us going to go find Carlota. Here's how it goes: I get my sister, Lisa, to track down where the plane she was on was last located. We book a flight from there and travel nearest to that location. A team of four, myself included, should be enough."

The rest of the family agreed with Lincoln on this, saying that it seemed look a good plan.

Ronnie Anne:"Still, a few questions still stand. None of us know how Carlota is doing right now. Or if she's even safe from harm."

After hearing that, Frida looked ready to break down in tears again, but Maria and Rosa were there to comfort her.

Lincoln:"Well...then I guess I have to go and figure it out."

Ronnie Anne:"I'm coming with you. Obviously."

Bobby:"Me too."

And that is when Frida looked toward the kids with an expression of determination on her face.

Frida:"As will I."

Ronnie Anne:"What? Are you sure, Tia?"

Frida:"Yes. Anything to see my daughter again."

Lincoln:"Then it's settled. I'll call Lisa right away and have her pinpoint the last location of Carlota's plane."

Frida:"Ha, ha HA! At last! I'm getting my daughter back!"

Everyone else in the room took a step back away from Frida since she was acting a little unhinged at the moment.

Speaking of Carlota, she and the other girls had been traveling across the unexplored part of the jungle for some time now, where it had grown darker and the trees and plant life thicker. They had managed to shake the cult, but they didn't seem to be getting any closer to camp. Fortunately, the self-proclaimed leader was there to keep their spirits up.

Kimberly:"Come on, girls. We have to keep moving. The jungle doesn't exactly go on forever."

Tricia:"Right. Well, it's not like things could get any worse."

And just as she said that, a regular-styled rain shower ended up starting, getting the girls wet. They all looked at Tricia in annoyance, upset that she just had to jinx it.

Tricia:"My bad.

Angelica:"Changing the subject, what about those...people that we faced? Who exactly were they?"

Kimberly:"When I first encountered them, I had gotten the feeling that they were the reason behind getting stuck in this jungle. Now they wish to make slaves out of us, should we ever get captured by them."

That sent a chill down Carlota's spine, making her nervous by this information.

Carlota:"Are we...are we gonna have to go after them?"

Kimberly:"Eventually...maybe. For now, we must keep moving."

The trail they were on led to some kind of marshland. A root bridge connected to a man-made section of huts that were mostly domed shaped, made of reeds and straw, had no doors, some of them had windows, were pretty small, and most of them looked like they could fit about three people tops, forming a small village, it seems, and the girls were a little defensive about it, none of them ever seeing it before.

Carlota:"What is this place?"

Kimberly:"Some kind of village, looks older than anything else here."

While the sight of the dilapidated village made them feel unnerved, they still wanted to get out of the rain and headed into the first hut they crossed after the bridge. It seemed bigger than the rest of the village since they were all able to fit inside. Once they were in, the only thing they could find was a table with a journal on top. Considering the other 'residents' of the jungle, a journal like this was a little out of the ordinary as the girls looked at it in curiosity.

Carlota:"Who would leave a journal like this here?"

Angelica:"Don't know. But maybe we'll find the answers inside the book."

The others agreed and opened the book to see entries with dates that go back a few months. It read that the journal belonged to an archeologist named Professor Aadan Obiakolam, and he was searching for some kind of artifact within the jungle. The girls read the first entry of the journal.

"April 5: From the Journal of Professor Obiakolam. It has been a matter of months since I've exploited my resources and have come thus far to this uncharted section of Africa, where I can guarantee that lying just beyond the trees is a mystical artifact, ripe for the taken. My colleagues and peers have all left me, giving up their thrill for this expedition, but I'm not going to let years of research go down the drain just like that. I've come too far to fail, the relic is soon to be in my grasp. Fortunately, I miraculously found a group of natives who were kind enough to let me stay with them in their village. As soon as I'm done with my map of this place, I'll embark on the artifact."

The girls looked around at the hut they were in, realizing that this must've been where the Professor may have been residing. Skipping over a few entries, the girls found one that was dated a few months before this time.

"July 14: My map had been completed and it took this long to find out that the old temple is just a few miles back from where this village resides! How could I not know this before? The natives never spoke of it, almost acting afraid whenever I brought it up. But to think that they live so close, yet cower in the shadow of the very treasure they were practically housing! I must see this for myself! I need to! I need this thing through and finally accomplish what I've come so far for! It is this discovery that will put me on the map! And nothing will stand in my way!"

Kimberly:"Sounds like this Professor started to lose his mind over this obsession of the artifact."

Angelica:"Could this artifact be the very skull that cult leader was holding?"

Carlota:"(flips through more pages) I believe this may confirm your suspicion, Angelica."

They looked at the very last entry written in the journal and safe to say that they were a little bit spooked by it.

"?: "Head hurts. Skull... Feel angry. Saw Temple outside window. Welcoming. Must be fate. Skull good...Jungle… home…Power...Want to... rise..."

The girls were weirded out, Carlota and Angelica were even scared by what the skull did to this man. Closing the journal, Kimberly decides to take it with them as they back out into the marsh village. They were planning to cross to the other side of the marsh in the hopes of getting back on the right path. But there was one thing that was still on Carlota's mind.

Carlota:"So...what do you think happened to the rest of the villagers around here?"

Tricia:"Maybe they...tried to leave after what happened with the Professor. But wound up getting lost in the jungle as we have."

But as they were making their way through the abandoned village, they could overhear something moving in the water. They slowly started to walk down the bridge, listening to the sounds of...hissing.

Kimberly:"Stay calm and do not...move."

The girls did so, trying to remain perfectly still to not make any sound...but that is when a humungous alligator came out from under the water, chomping through a part of the bridge as the girls soon began to run in panic from it, screaming in terror. The gator chased after them from under the water before suddenly jumping high enough to land and start crawling across the bridge, gaining on them. Seeing that they had no choice to defend themselves, Kimberly brought her spear.

Kimberly:"Go on ahead! I'll keep this thing occupied."

Tricia:"What?"

Kimberly:"Just go!"

But that is when Carlota brought out her club and sided with Kimberly.

Carlota:"I have your back with this!"

Kimberly:"Fall back, Carlota! You're not ready for this!"

Carlota:"No way! I'm not gonna leave you behind!"

Kimberly:"...Then follow me closely!"

While the other girls make it out of the marsh, Carlota and Kimberly find themselves on a high wooden peer, two boats underneath. The gator had them cornered on it as it crawled up towards them. The two braced themselves, seeing that the gator was about 12 feet long and with a snarling maw.

Carlota:"Okay...maybe this wasn't such a good idea."

Kimberly:"Well, you put yourself up here. But don't worry. We got this!"

The two quickly moved out of the way as the gator roared and charged at them, snapping its teeth as Carlota went a little too far off the side and found herself dangling off the ledge by her hands. This left Kimberly to fight the gator alone for a moment, stabbing the beast from under its snout. Quickly getting herself back onto the platform, Carlota rushed over to Kimberly and whacked the gator over its head, slamming her club and making the animal dizzy. One last swing and the girls were able to send the gator back into the water. With that, it angrily retreated while the girls nodded at each other and ran back to meet up with the others by the end of the marsh village.

Tricia:"Are you girls okay?"

Kimberly:"Nothing we couldn't handle."

Angelica:"Glad to hear it. Now let's head back to camp."

Tricia:"Are we even on the right path again?"

Kimberly:"I think so. I recognize this part of the jungle now."

Angelica:"We should be able to find our way back from here then."

Some time after walking through the jungle path, there was a clearing and their camp could be seen in the distance. Not wanting to miss any moment of sanctuary, Carlota immediately ran in front of the other girls, only to slam into something big and ripply. Stumbling backward, she regained herself and looked to see that it was Fumi that she had ran into.

Fumi:"Ah. There you guys are. I was just about to go looking for you."

Tricia:"Well, here we are."

Kimberly:"Are the others okay?"

Fumi:"They're fine. Just as worried as I was."

Kimberly:"Well, we have a lot to talk about. So let's give them the news."

Back at the camp, Malika, Kate, Dani, and Wilma were talking amongst themselves outside the main hut. They were thinking of finding new ways to sustain themselves that were safe and healthy for the camp. Specifically, Gardening.

Wilma:"We should have enough space around her to start a patch."

Malika:"But we still need to find seeds and herbs and stuff. And until Kimberly comes back, we don't really have a say so in this."

Kate:"I wouldn't worry too much about that. Here she comes now."

The girls look to see Kimberly and her crew coming out of the woods. And Fumi only went to look for them a few...seconds ago.

Dani:"Welcome back everyone."

Wilma:"Yeah. Good to see you're all in one piece"

Kimberly:"Yeah, but we have a lot to talk about. So let's all head inside."

The others nodded in agreement as they all headed back to the main hut.
