Cassie was munching on her cold fries when platinum appeared. The refuge was now closed and her red hair was now in a messy bun. And her bright purple eyes seemed to have a happy glow about them. She appreciated the older women. When Cassie first started coming around, platinum was nothing but caring and listened to her every word. It was like having an older sister. Being an only child was hard enough but it made it worse when your father was a god and your mother was off on her adventures. Maybe that was why, Cassie always tried to have a smile on her face and to be cheerful. It masked the pain she was hiding.

"Cassie Darlin. Are you available this weekend?"

Cassie shrugged.

"yeah not like im going on any missions." She complained.

"Sometimes it is good to relax the body and the mind. Missions can be overwhelming. Especially when you're stressed." A male voice spoke.

Cassie looked behind her to see a tall man with long blue hair, bright grey eyes, and a goatee. He wore a white button-down shirt and black slacks.

"Cassie, this fine glass of cold water is my husband steel. Honey, you know Cassie."

Cassie flew from her seat to shake Steel's hand.

"Hi! I love your club! It gives me a place to hang out! um, you know me?" Cassie questioned as she looked back at Platinum.

Steel cleared his throat and sighed as he directed Cassie's attention back to him.

"Why don't you sit down." He began. " yeah you do know me. We've met more than a few times. But you were 13 when we first met."

He then took off a silver watch and before her eyes, Steel began to look familiar. His hair was now black and his eyes a crystal blue.

He almost looked like Superman.

And then it hit her.

"superboy!?"

"It's steel now, but yeah it's me."

"wow, I can't believe this. It's been years! So you own the refuge?" Cassie asked

" yes, mam. My wife and I alongside my brother wanted a place where all species could get together without the drama. Speaking of my wife, before we make any decisions Cassie I think you need to know the truth."

"the truth?" Cassie questioned.

"yes." superboy told her. " The refuge is just our place of business, it's not our home. I want you to have all the facts before you spend a weekend with us."

"so what's up?" Cassie asked.

" platinum has something she needs to tell you."

Cassie turned to Platinum who looked nervous.

"Well, since we takin off our disguises.I might as well take off mine."

With that said, Platinum took off her silver bracelet, and her appearance changed to a woman with blonde hair and crystal blue eyes. A familiar scar on her face, made Cassie rise on the defense.

" TUPPENCE TERROR! You're supposed to be dead." Cassie sneered

" and I still am. Sit down little darlin and I'll tell you what happened
