Chapter 3: Demonstrate
The sound heavy breathing fills the air, sweat covers me, as I move forward only to be pulled back. Ice blue eyes are twinkling my way as a smirk plays firmly on his lips. "Do you ever do anything the easy way?" He says, his face is close to mine as he grips both my hands over my head.
My eyes scan his face, the way his skin is starting to get darker due to the constant heat here. I take my time to roam how his hair is so much longer than it usually is, how the stubble that is now adorning his face make him look more like the rouge vampire that he is. He's beautiful, always had been, always would be. He was the type of guy that good girls flocked to in order to get a taste of the wild side. But what he was most was a cheater.
"You cheated." I say as he continues to pin me in the grass.
We had started training eons ago, so that in case anything ever happen I would be ready. However what I didn't expect was Damon to spring an attack on me while I was lounging by the pool. In fact he had came outside, shirtless, in low hung swim trunks, and I thought we were going to sit by the pool together. Of course that didn't happen because as soon as I was poised to take a dip in the cold water he pushed me forward as he tagged me, calling "Your it." Over his shoulder.
And thus an impromptu sparring session had occurred. It didn't matter that my bathing suit was sticking to my body, or the fact that one cheek was almost on display due to said bathing suit clinging to part of my skin. It didn't even matter that I was barefoot.
If Damon wanted a fight, I'd give him one.
So we went back and forth, him using his speed and strength, me using my magic and the fact that I knew him better than he knew himself. I thought it would be easy to win, only we were at a stalemate with him on top of me grinning so disarmingly my way. If I let my mind catch up then I'd realize that perhaps we needed to change positions, perhaps even get up. However I was lost in cotton candy blue eyes. Those eyes were part of the trick, he tried to hypnotize you with his gaze and then he cheated.
"That is, what many would call a sneak attack my friend." Damon says rather goofily.
He's looking at me super proud of his sneak attack, while I'm not as impressed. "But we're on vacation?" I say causing him to chuckle all mastermind villain style. All he needed was a turtleneck, slicked back hair and cigar and he would be able to play villain in any action movie.
He only bops me in the nose. "Yes! That's true but bad guys don't sleep," He says pausing to give me the once over. "You should know seeming the bed of one bad guy you climbed out of."
Annoyed, I yanked on his hair hard. The topic of me and Klaus had been talked to death by Damon, and I was over talking about it. Or maybe I was just over hearing him talk about it.
"Don't think I didn't notice the fact that you said it again." I groan out, causing him to chuckle.
"Ashamed?"
"Not really," I admit. "I could've done worst." I admit thinking of my past bed buddies. In fact I had done worst. "Anyway back on track, we agreed our sparring sessions would be on pause till we went back home."
"What part of sneak attack are you not understanding." He asks blinking rapidly old school Damon style.
"You cheated!" I say again exasperated. "Just admit, and I'll go easy on you."
"And you're slow, but I guess I should give you the benefit of the doubt, I guess you're still tipsy after your decent to the dark side with Klaus." He says matter of fact.
That did it, not only was he a cheater but he was a blabber mouth at that. Pinching my fingers together I grabbed hold of his pectoral and gave him the hardest pectoral twister I'd ever given.
The holler he does is one that I'll remember always.
"You lost, it doesn't matter if I cheated." He grits as I squirm to break free using only my human strength. "I told you come over to my side and you'll have so much more fun." He says with an eyebrow wiggle.
I raise my eyebrows and bite my lip. He wants me to come over to his side, fine. I could do that easily. My head lifts up bringing my lips closer to him. I watch as the smile on his face kind of melts away to something more. His eyes are showing me something different in them.
"Bon," He says carefully. His eyes look me up and down while he still continue to rest above me.
I nuzzle his nose, and soon use magic to flip him over. When I'm over him I grin proudly. Lucy had told me once that whenever in battle don't be afraid to use your sex appeal against your opponent. Damon certainly did that all the time, so I decided to flip the switch and try it on him.
I lean down and grin in his face once I'm straddling him. "I win, you lose." Once again I nuzzle his nose before attempting to get up. He of course holds on to my waist.
"From where I am at, it looks like I'm the one that won." He says a lazy smirk on his lips. "Who could complain when you, and all your hotness is on top of me."
My face heats up at his words. Though he had often said things like this, it was still something new to me. Forever I had been the person that people had overlooked and now it seemed like more people actually saw me. I don't know if it were because of my new mind set or the fact that I had finally taken control of my life.
For a second I think he's playing as he always does but then he places a kiss to my wrist, a look of uncertainly and need flash in his eyes.
"Come on," He says lifting me up. "You better go get ready for you day with Lucy."
I cover my face. I had completely forgotten about it. "Thanks for reminding me, I forgot."
We walk back to the house, ignoring the way the neighbors next door look at the two of us from the window. They probably think we're crazy– it's probably true.
"Blinded by my beauty?" He says closing the door.
"Blinded by my victory." I grin.
He walks into the kitchen pouring the two of us some water. Once I've finished my water I look over at him again. "So what are you plans today?"
He hops on the counter. "I don't know, look good." Grin. "Whenever you leave me, I'm so lonely Bon," He says sticking his lip out. "How about you let me join you?"
"You're cute, really you are but that is never gonna happen." I deadpan.
He crosses his arms over his chest. "Why doesn't your cousin like me again?" Furrowed brow. "I'm awesome."
"She hates everyone she thinks took advantage of my kindness." I say easily. "If it were Caroline, Stefan or anyone else she'd have the same reaction." I purposely left of Elena because bringing her up was something we never discussed.
If I cared more, I would wonder why, she was the unspoken thing that probably kept us from a lot of things we never dared to admit.
"So now I'm gonna be bored again."
I pat his shoulder. "I've got a few idea's for you," I say pausing for effect. "You could perfect you pancake making skills."
He rolls his eyes. "Rude."
I giggle his way.
He continues "I don't know, I was thinking of putting a grocery list together for our weekly outing."
I nod because that's a good idea. We're running low on milk, eggs, flour, sugar and a couple of other things.
"But I think I'll start on that bourbon syrup and then later hang out with Vincent."
At the mere mention of the bourbon syrup he has perfected my eyes go wide. "Maybe we can have chicken and waffles for dinner?" I propose.
He only grins. "I prefer chicken and pancakes."
"Touche."

It's hours later when Lucy and I finally meet up. In the days following the order Klaus had sent out she's been happily busy with her magic shop now that Klaus had lifted the ban on magic in the quarter. While I had been appeasing a loose lips vampire. Who by the way, mentioned my tryst every single chance he got. Lucky for me, Lucy couldn't stand the sight of him and since he was scared of her, I was officially off duty of doing whatever popped into his mind.
Now Lucy and I sit on the waterfront enjoying a nice lunch and watching as boats pass by.
"I feel like it's been forever since I've seen you." Lucy says causing me to look over at her instead of the boats in the river.
I smile. "Well, you've been busy with the shop and I've been enjoying what New Orleans has to offer."
"Thinking about moving here?"
That was a question I had asked myself many times. I had been all over the world, and yet I hadn't found a place like New Orleans. Magic was always in the air here, I bet if I stuck my tongue out, I could even feel it dancing on my taste buds. I also enjoyed the eccentric group of people that Lucy called her friends and the food was amazing. However, home was home and despite how much I had loathed M.F. I loved it just as much.
"I could see myself coming here very often to visit you." I say giving her a smile in which she returned.
Soon the waiter comes to take our order. I ordered cat fish and french fries while Lucy had opted for a southern classic in gumbo. Once he's gone Lucy turns to me with eyes that are lit up and I already know that I'm in a world of trouble.
"Bon, have I told you thank you for your help in lifting the ban on magic in the quarter because what you did was monumental." Lucy says reaching across to hold me hand.
I bite my lip. It had been a long time since anyone had said thank you to me and actually meant it. Lucy meant her words and it warmed my cold heart just a little.
I rub my thumb on her knuckle. "We're family, you needed my help, so I helped." I said removing our hands to take a sip of lemon water. "Plus, it was the least I could do, since you found the rental house Damon and I are staying at."
At the mere mention of my best friend, as predicted Lucy rolled her eyes.
"I still don't know how you put up with that man, I've never seen anyone more needy for attention in my entire life. And lets not forget that he walks around like the two of you are an item. I bet he's scared away any and every male suitor you've had shown interest in you."
I raise an eyebrow at that notion. Damon had successfully, blocked me a couple of times, however he hadn't been able to do it nearly as much as he would like. After all, I was in control of my life, who I let in it, my body and my bed.
"He isn't that bad." I say trying to diffuse Lucy. "Damon likes to look out for me, he's just trying to protect me from getting hurt." I admit. Damon had once said he'd walk through fire for me, and I would probably do the same for him.
Lucy gapes at me for a second before speaking. "Girl please, he's trying to keep you for himself."
I can't help but chuckle. Lucy was serious about her dislike for Damon. Despite that my best friend and only living family member clashed, I knew that the two of them really just wanted what was best for me. If it were up to Lucy I'd be living it up with her as we did what we wanted to do together. Damon was the same way, he just wanted me to be with him.
"Okay, can we not talk about Damon, it raises your blood pressure." I remind causing Lucy to take a deep breath and start fanning herself. So dramatic. She and Caroline would get along immensely especially since they shared a mutual disdain for my best friend.
Soon my cell phone rings letting me know I've gotten a text, so I sneak a peak at my phone. It's a text from Klaus. Opening the window I see two sets of lingerie one blue as the sea and the other a fiery red. The text from Klaus ask which one I liked better. Grinning I type, "Go for the red, it'll match your lips."
Once I've finished typing Lucy is looking at me expectantly. I can tell by her face that she thinks I'm conversing with Damon which is not out of the ordinary. However this time it's Klaus who's interrupting our girl time and I don't know how to feel about that. The hybrid and I hadn't shared a single moment since our night together, which was fine by me. So to get a text from him was, suspicious.
"So how did you do it?" Lucy asks causing my skin to burn.
Startled by her train of thought, I quickly turn my phone off for good measure. "Do what?" I ask playing along.
Lucy gives me a look as the waiter returns with our food. He carefully places our food on the table making sure to grin at the two of us. I notice he has deep dimples chocolate brown eyes and a big smile on his face. His name tag reads Robbie, and by the looks of it, Lucy plans on tipping him generously.
Digging into my food, I hope Lucy abandons the topic because, I don't know what will come out of my mouth. The right thing, would be to lie, lie, lie like my life depended on it. But the only person I had to talk about my decent into the orbit of Klaus had been Damon and that was just weird. Most of the time, half of the time, he had asked me what the hybrid had done to make me break my rule on no baddies, and then the other half of the time, he was trying to convince me that maybe we should have a go at it for science purposes. I of course couldn't take him seriously because well, he was Damon. However, at times he said it like he meant it.
"Bonnie?" Lucy calls causing me to look up from my food.
"What, I'm hungry." I say jabbing my fork in a crimson topped french fry. When she gives me that famous Bennett look I had been on the receiving end one too many times I relent. Sighing I push my food in front of me. "I didn't do much, just gave him a bit of Bennett class for that ass." And oh what an ass it was.
"You might wanna tell me in detail how you handled him because it might come in handy for the rest of them." Pause. "Especially that brother of his Elijah." Lucy says way to bubbly for my taste.
The gag I do is quick causing my cousin to shake her head at me. "Gross." I say making a face. "If you ever decide to dabble with a vampire, at least promise me it won't be Elijah. Knowing his track record he'll probably leave you high and dry." I say utterly disgusted. My hate for Elijah was a real thing, I didn't care how good he looked. At least Klaus would tell you before he stabbed you in the back. He also was very good in bed, so that was a plus.
Lucy snorts. "Oh I forgot whom I'm talking to, you like your vampires with terrible tempers and blue eyes."
Now it's my turn to snort. If she really knew. Maybe I did have a type, blue eyes, crappy attitude it seemed to work wonders for me. If I ever started to look into settling down, along with blue, eyes and crappy attitude, I needed to add perfect lips to my list. "I can't deny that." I slip and say.
Lucy nods while taking a sip of the broth from her gumbo. "About Klaus, whatever you did, it made him unclench which I thought would never happen, he's legit the tightest I have ever seen." pause. "I'm just saying you can give me a few tips before you leave."
At her words I let out a giggle Klaus had said the same thing about me, in fact he said I was wound tight. "I can't give away all my tricks." Smile. "But I can at least tell you never to trust Elijah."
Lucy only tilts her head and looks at me, super suspicions but says nothing.
"Fine," I relent. "You have a problem with Klaus, just call me– I'll take care of it." I say with a wink.

Bonnie
By the time dessert roles around the two of us are too stuffed to order our own items so instead we opt to split a hot fudge cake.
"Honestly, I love having you here Bon, it's nice to be close to family again."
I pop a cherry into my mouth. "Right back at ya." I say with a wink.
I'm scooping piece of cake onto my spoon when I feel the air around us change. Lucy must feel it too because she's looking around almost as much as I am. To our surprise nothing seems to be out of the ordinary. That however, doesn't shake the sudden feeling of being watched.
"You know," Lucy says swirling her hot fudge and ice cream together. "You could always ditch that vampire that is your shadow and stay here for a while. It might be fun." She suggests.
I'm about to say something when a voice from behind stops me.
"Bonnie, Bonnie, Bonnie! Surely you're not just going to run away after all we've been through together?"
I don't even have to turn around to know that Klaus is smirking. I bet his dimples are on full display and his red lips are probably even redder. Lucy who seemed sad a couple of minutes ago seems to perk up. That must mean Elijah is near. Out of all the people to run in today, I was not expecting the two of them. One was bad enough, but add Elijah into the mix and things went down hill.
In that moment I have one of two options, I could ignore the hybrid which probably wouldn't work because well he didn't give a damn. Though I normally had nerves of steel a product of being friends with a reckless, loveable, annoying vampire, in this moment Klaus would totally win. The other option was to play it cool.
Naturally I wanted to chose option one, but Lucy was all but eating popcorn, so I chose option 2.
Turning around ever so slightly I catch sight of Klaus, wearing a hunter green henley and dark jeans. He's flanked with Elijah who can't seem to look me in the eye, good. "In case you haven't noticed, I don't run away from anything." I say with an air of superiority. My chin is tilted up as I gaze up at him.
My eyes though, run along him. He looks good, really good so good that my mind can't help but to remember the last time I saw him. The experience with Klaus had played out in my dreams so many times that I cross my legs at the sight of him. Was it a bad thing that I just wanted to yank him by the shirt, and kiss him? Probably so, it might cause a scene as well.
Klaus dimples. "Good to know." He says raking his eyes over me before finally resting his hands on top of my chair. He is super close, almost invading my space and I'm ten seconds from asking him to back the heck up, but I bite my tongue, opting to remain unbothered and more importantly unaffected "Nothing is more alluring than a woman who is unafraid to go after what they want, make decisions, or to live life." He licks his lips.
Our eyes lock at the moment with him all but challenging me to say something. I know he's bating me, and I bite back.
"Lucy was wondering how I was able to handle you?" I say causing him to break out in a surprising chuckle. I turn to Lucy. "It was surprisingly easy." I say before turning back to Klaus.
Smoothly he speaks, dimples on display. "I assure you, you handled me just the way I like it." Pause. "However, we may need to further convene, for the greater good and all." He says winking my way. "And it may take hours, but that's the way you like it?" He runs his hand on the side of my neck causing every inch of me to sprout to life.
From across the table Lucy is looking at me intrigued and the normal debonair Elijah has his mouth hanging open. That means, the only thing I can do is put everyone else on pause.
Using magic I freeze everyone around us except for Klaus, if he's surprised he doesn't say so.
I yank him down by his shirt causing him to chuckle in response. "What is this?" I ask looking into deep pools of blue satin eyes.
"What do you think it is?" He asks bringing his arms out to wrap around my waist. He drags me closer to him making the chair scrape against the hardwood as I move.
His face is close and for the life of me I can't seem to push him away. Instead I bridge the gap between the two us and plant my mouth on his. At first he seems to let me take the lead, so I do. I kiss his top lip then the bottom. I flick my tongue along the seem of his lips and he opens his mouth wider. Our tongues dance in a familiar dance, that still holds as much passion as it had the first time.
When I pull away for some much needed air he plants his forehead against mine. Since I had taken the first look at his lips I had only to kiss him and now that I had, I don't regret it all. Even a kiss from Klaus could leave a girl sated for a long time.
"You taste just as good as the first time." He mummers against me. " Perhaps you can offer more on the menu?" He says his hands sliding between the two of us and flitting against my skin.
The next thing I know is that my back is on a nearby table that is thankfully unoccupied. Klaus lifts my shirt licking my belly button, then sucking my belly button ring in his mouth. I nearly fall apart at the sight.
"Now on to the main course." He says sliding down.
It's then, and only then that I get a grip and realize what's about to go down, or whom's about to go down. I can't just stop world for a quickie with Klaus. Though it was tempting, so tempting, I needed to get a grip.
"Klaus," I call out all the while he's laying kisses on my inner thigh.
"Yes?" He asks after sucking a piece of skin in his mouth.
"This is not happening." I say sitting up. "We're in public!"
He grins but backs away to give me space, it's not much space but at least I'm not lying down on a table with him, about to have his own dessert. "It kind of looked like it could've happened." Smile. "Good thing I know this will happen again and it will be the privacy of my bed."
I cross my arms over my chest. "I'm serious."
He walks the distance between the two of us, while I'm still sitting on the table. His hands rest behind me, while he face hovers close. "It's okay, I'll taste you later, you tease." He says his eyes sparking and his mood chipper.
I roll my eyes and push him away. "In your dreams."
He grabs my hands and soon helps me up. "Each and every night."
Once we return to our seats. I take a deep breath stealing a glance at Klaus who only winks in my direction. Something about that man, makes me do crazy things. With a silent prayer on my lips, I unfreeze the world around us.
A bout of silence falls between us and the whole restaurant really. I realize that maybe I slipped up. In fact maybe we both slipped up. With every passing second my skin flushes more and more. But what gets me is the way he looks at me.
Elijah must see where this is going because he surprisingly steps in to save the day. "Niklaus, perhaps we should leave these two lovely ladies to finish their dessert."
Klaus ignores Elijah suggestion which isn't much of a surprise. Instead of speaking to his brother, he dares to dip his finger into some of the fudge on my plate and then suck it off his finger. Of course in Klaus fashion he winks me for good measure. Lucy lets out a curse word, Elijah starts to splutter words and I feel my nether regions heat up along with the rest of my body.
That mouth was nearly addicting.
"Nonsense, why leave when we can be in the company of beautiful women." Klaus says making sure to look me up and down longer than necessary. He made the clothes that I had on, which was not nearly as revealing as the dress I wore to his house days before, seem scandalous. In fact olive green shorts and basic tank was perfect for this weather. My hair was natural in a pony tail while I wore nude wedges. If anything you'd think Klaus and Elijah would be eyeing Lucy who was nearly naked. The girl, loved to show skin. She was wearing light blue jeans that had rips in them and a black sheer shirt with her black bra showing. Klaus should be looking at Lucy, but he kept looking at me.
And I couldn't for the life of me, stop looking at him. Get it together.
"Or you could join us?" Lucy calls her voice penetrating the sudden lust fog that has filled my mind.
At her words I don't know who turns to look at her quicker, me or Elijah. Couldn't she see that this train was about to crash and burn. The last thing we needed was the Mikaelson brothers to join us. Klaus needed to be far away from me and Elijah even further away than Klaus.
Klaus turns from staring me down, to Lucy and offers a pleasant smile. "I'm afraid Elijah is right, but thank you for being so hospitable."
I snort, causing eyes to look my way. Lucy is looking at me like this is her chance to sit down with Elijah, and I'm looking at her like please do better. Elijah is holding back a grin, which is handsome, quite handsome, though I still hate him. And Klaus is looking my way too pleased.
If he thought I was jealous that was the furthest from the truth.
Klaus leans down close to my ear similar to so many times before and whispers. "I'll see you around, love." He says pulling away.
Soon enough he and Elijah are on the move, but not before Klaus gives me the once over again, which leaves nothing to the imagination. Not a single person had ever looked at me with that much hunger, ever. He might as well have it written in the sky that we got naked together, because everyone can see it, and if they couldn't Lucy could.
When the Mikaelson brothers are finally out of the restaurant with takeout in hand, while leaving a trail of broken hearts in the form of male and female, I turn to look at Lucy who is holding back a grin.
"So?" She poses elbow on the table while her chin rest on her hand. She batting her eyelashes a lot all the while I'm holding back my own grin.
"Yeah?" I say before picking up my water and drinking it. Once I've finished I opt for the menu in need of something strong, really, really strong.
Was it bad that, that little display only made me want to break him down, all over again? I could already see it, I'd go slow, so slow that he'd be begging for more. I needed to pull it together.
"You got it in with Klaus!" Lucy says grinning from ear to ear. In fact I don't think I've ever seen her this excited. I don't know what was more off putting the fact that she was all but celebrating or the fact that she nearly screamed it for every supernatural in here to hear.
I look around the restaurant briefly, before turning back to Lucy. "I slept with Klaus." I finally admit. My head lolls forward as I put it down on the table.
Lucy is too busy giggling to even console me. "Well, at least he looked at you like you were on the menu."
I look up at her. "Not helping." I deadpan.
"You were looking at him like you'd be down for it." Lucy continues as if I haven't said a word. "In fact the two of you were kind of hogging all the spotlight from Elijah and all his fineness."
"It was a one time thing." I whine causing Lucy to cackle like never before. I was glad she was enjoying this, because that soap opera moment Klaus staged would never happen again. Nor would I stop the world because I wanted to tongue him down again.
The restaurant seems to get back to normal when Lucy speaks again. "Was it good?"
"Unbelievably so," I groan. "But it was a one time thing." I say even though my words waver briefly. Did I think about it, all the time. Would it happen again, initially I thought no, but even I had to admit that, if it happen again my body certainly wouldn't complain. In the end my experience might make me have much higher standards for bed buddies because Klaus was, an animal.
Mere moments later I feel the wind and know that Damon is sitting at my side, in fact his chair is all up in my area, and he's already eating the rest of the hot fudge cake off my plate. I don't know who told anyone that it was okay to go for my chocolate cake, that was a big no no.
"What was a one time thing?" Damon asks. He looks happy and it makes me smile to see him smile. He also looks very handsome in his navy blue shirt, grey jeans and leather jacket. But what made him look even better was the baggage that he carried as his relationship with Elena, it was starting to loosen. He was finally getting healthy and happy.
We share a look as he smiles at me before placing a rather sloppy kiss on my cheek and then proceeds to finish off my piece of chocolate cake. Our earlier disagreement was a thing of the past.
Lucy can only grin. "Bonnie and Klaus in the flesh, getting hot and heavy."
I don't know who glares harder me or Damon. It was our next words that made Lucy laugh even harder as Damon and I said at the same time. "It was a one time thing."
Lucy laughs harder. "Keep telling yourself that," She says looking from me to Damon. "Both of you."
Damon and I share a look once more as waiter brings the whole bottle of bourbon our way.
