Chapter 10: Complicated

Since that night at the drive in, Klaus and I had spent a vast amount of time both in and out of the bedroom. We got along better than I would've ever imagined. He was like a witch encyclopedia, it was crazy. Even though he didn't practice magic at all he knew spells as fluently as he knew different languages. He also had a sense of humor that had me laughing more times than often.

Klaus was also a shit talker which made perfect sense if you really thought about it. After years of being nearly silent I too often talked shit because why not speak what was on your mind?

And lets not forget about the sex. I don't think I had ever had so much of it, in my entire life. I thought that when Enzo and I had gotten together that- that had been the pinnacle of my sexual experience, but boy had I been wrong. I genuinely questioned how any other guy would be able to live up to the Klaus experience once this thing had ended.

Flashback

Sweat cools on my body, as I lay completely languid. I had lost count of how many times Klaus was able to make me fall apart and bring me back together at the same time. This time, he had trailed a rose along my body until I was whimpering for his touch and when he finally gave it to me, he really gave it to me. In fact I think I had the marks to show, but at least I was happy.

Now though, the man is busy in the shower and if I had enough strength I'd saunter into that shower, and pay homage to my favorite part of his anatomy. However, my whole world had been rocked so hard, I was still seeing stars.

Closing my eyes briefly, I catch the scent of fresh clean man which is always a good thing. Popping open an eye, Klaus strolls in sans clothes water droplets coating his fair skin. When he can tell I'm watching him, still impressed, he turns his head over his shoulder and winks.

"I see you're still lounging about." He muses all the while examining a white shirt that has sleeves that reach his elbow and another shirt which is black with three buttons and short sleeved. Seeming I don't remember him ever wearing short sleeves when he turns and holds the two shirts up, I nod toward the darker shirt.

I sit up bringing the sheet with me, all the while watching as he dresses, first with boxer briefs, then with blue jeans and finally with the shirt I've picked out. To say I'm pleased by his selection is a understatement. "Is this your way of kicking me out." I ask a brow raised. "Because if so," I don't get the chance to finish my statement because in a flash he's taken the sheet that was covering me and tosses it to the side. He leans against the bed, his jean clad knee dangerously close to the softest part of me.

He's got this wicked grin on his face and I'm grinning back at him like an idiot. Was it possible to hypnotized by his eyes, or maybe it was his smile, scratch that, his grin– oh dang maybe it was his dick that had me hypnotized after all! "Now why would I do that, when you're such a delectable morsel." He says all the while bringing his arms around my waist, he brings me down slowly against his knee brushes against me. I let out a gasp at the mere feeling and before I know it he's swallowing the moan that is nearly out of his mouth, with his tongue down my throat.

More.

I want more of him, so much more that when he's pulling away from me, his face inches away from mine, I'm tempted to say so, so tempted. Instead I kind of follow him all the while he has this soft look on his face.

Briefly, I wonder if he can tell what I'm feeling?

My thumb caresses his stubbly cheek as he closes his eyes, showing off long eyelashes. I move close, my lips nearly touching his when he speaks again.

"Hope will be here soon." He breathes against my lips. "Haley is going away and my daughter will be staying with me for the week." He says finally opening his eyes.

I nearly swoon at the mere intensity of those eyes, eyes I could get lost in, if I weren't careful. Despite the fact that we had a very rough start, the man I had been seeing a lot of lately was someone, I was beginning to like.

He leans close our forehead touching."If we keep this up, I'll get lost in you." His voice is raw, pure, exposed even. "I'll take you in every room in this house." He growls lowly.

Blue eyes look at every bit of exposed skin starting from my face, down to my dark brown painted toes. When he looks back up, his fangs are showing.

My heart speeds up at his admission.

"I'll want you and only you." He continues, as a swear leaves his mouth. "Till you're bathed in my scent." He says as his eyes show his hybrid visage. "But," He says reaching for me, his finger rubs over a hickey he had managed to make earlier. "I'm a father first." He says looking up at me once again.

His words only make him that much more desirable. He's a man that takes care of his daughter and in my book that is much better than any other title he has. "Good." I say kissing him on the cheek. "And just so you know." I say pulling away and hopping out of bed.

I look around and find the rest of my clothes, pulling my dress on. "I find daddy Klaus so much more sexier than any other look you've got."

When I'm dressed he's standing behind me, his arm thrown around my waist. "Is that so, what about angry Klaus?" He asks close to my ear.

I turn around to face him. "Close second." I say with a wink. "Now," I say picking off a piece of lint off his shirt. "Go get ready for your little girl, and I'll see ya, when I see ya."

When I make it to the front door Klaus is leaning against it, his lips slanted in a smirk.

"Just a little something to remind you of me."

Next thing I know he's sunken down on his knees and I'm a melted mess.

When he stands up again, he makes a show of licking his lips. When he finished he presses our lips together in one of the softest kisses I've ever received.

End of flashback

That had been days ago, and I still wasn't over it.

"You're home." A voice sounded behind me. I had actually come home earlier but Damon had his door closed and we still hadn't spoken since our blow up. I had been staying with Lucy in an effort to make sure I got the space I needed. However, I knew I couldn't hog up space with Lucy for too long.

I knew that one day Damon and I would have to talk. I still meant what I said, every freaking word I said, but I wouldn't hide away from him because we were all grown up here and things needed to be said.

"Yeah." I say my back to him. I had actually been on my way out. The supernatural town meeting would be starting soon and Vincent was having a cook out after that. That was had been my plans for the day, I just wanted to get a few things before venturing over to the meeting.

I can hear him take two steps and then he stops suddenly. "Can you, can you at least look at me?" He asks causing me to let out a sigh. Nonetheless I turn around. He looks like he too was on his way out. Dressed like only Damon Salvatore could dress in all black with a grey short sleeve shirt. His eyes are sad though. "I thought you were still staying with Lucy?"

"I am!" I say at once. "I mean, I was." I say fiddling with my necklace. "But I thought staying at her house was actually like running away from the truth, and I didn't want to run away anymore."

He lets out a shaky breath. "That's good, I'm glad you're home." He says walking over to the couch. "I see that you're on your way out, and I am too," Pause. "The supernatural meeting is today."

I let out a chuckle because it seemed that Damon and Vincent really were friends. And I was glad for that, they both needed guys to hang out with. "You and Vincent really are quite the pair."

He chuckles. "He's cool people, but" He says looking me up and down. His eyes are soft as he speaks. "He can't take the place of you." Grin. "You're far more prettier."

I do a small curtsey which has Damon grinning.

"Listen Bon, I know you want space," He says nervously. "And I can give that to you– if you really want it. But I still want us." He wipes his hands on his jeans. "I can't lose you, you're far too important to me." He says desperately.

It's the way he's looking at me that has me shifting from one foot to the other. Usually I was super charmed by him but right now, it was like a wall was put up between the two of us, and his effect on me was dwindling. I lick my lips. "I meant what I said to you, I want space, I need space." I stressed. "I can't have you all over me all the time, I need to breath and I need you to let me make my own decisions instead of thinking you know what's right for me!"

He pokes his lips out. "Is this about Klaus?" His arms are crossed now.

"This is about me setting boundaries and you being man enough and my friend enough to abide by those boundaries."

His eyes do that thing when they go crazy for a second before he speaks again. "Fine, I'll abide by your rules and," He swallows hard. "Boundaries."

I smile for the first time with him. "Good." I say turning to leave.

"I still don't trust him." Damon says causing me to turn around so fast my ponytail nearly whips me in the face.

"You don't have to trust him, you just have to trust me and the decision I've made." I admit my voice has an edge to it. I've earned the right to live my life the way I wanted to and Damon needed to get that through his head. After everything I had been through, with all the crap that had included him as well, this was my time to shine the way I wanted to.

He looks so taken back by my words I wonder if he thought that everything would be forgotten so easily.

"Ok."

"Okay?" I know I sound like a parrot but I'm shocked.

"Yeah, this is me being grown about the subject." Pause. He scratches his head. "I wondering since we're going to the same place maybe we can ride together?"

The sound of a horn honking causes me to turn my head and peek out the window. Lucy was right on time. "That's Lucy, I'm riding with her–"

He looks so devastated I decided to at least send him an olive branch. "But, maybe I'll see you at the cook out."

He smiles then, the smile reaching his eyes. "That sounds good to me." He gets this look of determination on his face suddenly. "Maybe we can even sit together."

Lucy honks the horn again, and I grab my purse before waving at him and leaving.

Klaus

He had been in good spirits. Having Hope live under the same roof as him had been a dream. His daughter had the uncanny ability to make everything right in his world, if only for a little while. The way he felt about her, was something he never thought he could feel. He loved her more than he had ever loved anyone else in the whole world. That was why he was even still going to supernatural meetings, because he wanted the world around Hope to filled with rainbows, sunshine and everything a little girl would want in the world. But most importantly, he wanted the world to be safe for her.

"Why do you have to go papa?" Hope asked as the two of them walked along the street, ice cream in hand.

He looks down at her, his every being touched with warmth, her warmth and her shining love for him. Nobody has ever loved him the way his daughter has loved him, and hopes to be the same for her. Kneeling down he gets eye level with her. "I must go to protect our home and make sure that everyone is playing nice together."

Hope gets this look on her face that is so similar to the one he gets when he too doesn't get his way. "But what about me?"

He chuckles, spoken like a true Mikaelson. "You," He says tapping her nose. "Will get to spend the day with Rebekah and Marcel at that water park you've been talking about so much."

She smiles and soon launches herself into his arms. "Thank you papa, thank you, thank you, thank you." Hope says placing kisses on his face.

He holds onto her for dear life. To think at one time he thought defeating his enemies was the best feeling, nothing compared to being with his daughter, of being a father. He had never known what real happiness felt like until Hope.

When she looks at him again, he holds her eyes. "I need you to promise to listen to Rebekah and Marcel at all times."

"Yes papa!" Hope says nodding her head.

"And, I need you to keep an eye out for aunt Bekah she can't swim too well."

"Okay papa." She says still grinning. "I will protect."

"Now," He says standing up. "Lets continue our walk."

And they do, till he's stopped in his tracks by the sound of a voice, a raspy voice he hadn't heard in days, and then followed by the sight of her.

"Seriously Luce, I can't believe you left the potato salad at the magic shop."

"Shut it." Lucy says closing the door. "You're lucky I remembered, you know you can't eat everyone potato salad or mac and cheese for that matter." Lucy mutters. "What did you bring anyway?"

Bonnie scuffs. "I sent the drinks over yesterday."

Lucy chuckles, "Before you go back to that bumpkin town of yours we're going to get you to start cooking more, I swear it."

He doesn't realize he has a smile on his face till they nearly reach the Bennett women.

"Papa, look at her dress it's pretty." Hope says skipping forward. She comes to a halt when the Bennett witches turn to see her, and him for that matter. The package deal of Niklaus and Hope.

She's right, the dress that Bonnie is wearing today is rather pretty, but he suspects it's because Bonnie is pretty herself. She's wearing one of those wrap dresses that show just enough cleavage to make a man twitch in his pants but not nearly enough at the same time. Her hair is pilled in a high pony tail, her face is sunkissed, and her heart shaped lips are painted his favorite shade of red.

"Hi!" Hope says brightly. "My name is Hope. I like your dress."

He catches eyes with Bonnie quickly, before she looks down at Hope. She bends down lady like and speaks to his daughter. "Hi Hope! My name is Bonnie, and this is Lucy." She says pointing at Lucy who is holding the potato salad.

Hope then, walks back over to him, her hand holding his. "She's pretty daddy." Hope says in her own form of whispering.

Once again he lets his eyes get its latest fill of her. "Yes she is very pretty." He says noticing the flush of her skin at her words.

"Are you a princess?" Hope asks causing Bonnie to look from him to Hope.

She chuckles and her voice wraps itself around his mind, reminding him of the way she says his name when he goes deep then deeper.

"No, I'm not a princess." Bonnie smiles down. Hope seems enthralled by the charm bracelet that adorns Bonnie wrist while he's enchanted by her beauty.

Hope nods her head. "My daddy is King!" Hope says happily. "I'm a princess, maybe you can be princess too like me." Hope says with doe eyes. "Papa, can you make Bonnie a princess like me?"

Lucy grins and hangs her arm over Bonnies shoulder now. He had completely forgotten she was with them. "Wouldn't that be something." Lucy says a sly look on her face. "Princess Bonnie Bennett, I like the sound of that, what about you blue eyes?" Lucy says directing her question to him now.

All eyes are on him now, waiting for his answer but the most important eyes are those of his daughter. "Come now Hope, the book store awaits you." He says gaining her attention.

Bonnie elbows Lucy who is giggling once again. "Well, it was nice to meet you Hope and–"

He reaches for her hand and places a kiss to it. "Call me Niklaus." He says playing along.

Her breath hitches and it's music to his ears. "Niklaus." She says causing him to swell in his long dead heart at the sound of her saying his full name.

He watches as the two Bennett woman disappear from view when Hope brings him back to the present.

"They are special like me daddy."

He looks down at his daughter. "You are right about that Hope, special but nobody is as special as you." He smiles, bringing her in for a hug.

By the time we made it to the town meeting, the banquet hall was nearly crowded. Groups of supernatural gathered together hoping to talk about what was going on in the community. At front and center was Vincent, who managed to be the moderator for just about everyone. The other key players were Elijah who spoke on behalf of Vampires, and Klaus who spoke for the werewolves. As well as a woman by the name of Gloria had represented the witches.

When Vincent saw Lucy and I, he flashed a grin our way. We waved back at him as he took his spot at the podium. I knew Damon wasn't too far away, he and Vincent had been chatting once we got here, the only people that seemed to be missing was the Mikaelson family. No sooner, had I thought it, the two Mikaelson men appeared, to be the envy, vain and bane of many people at the meeting.

I had to admit the Mikaelson men, sure did know how to make an entrance. Lucy and I even shared a look once they brushed past us. Elijah was still wearing jeans, which was still very weird but he looked good. He had worn a black shirt button down shirt and dark jeans. As for Klaus, he was wearing a dark blue shirt, dark jeans and leather jacket. The hickey he left on my neck, started to tingle the moment our eyes locked.

"Are you guys having eye sex?" Lucy whisper causing me to jump in surprise. I hadn't even realized she had gotten that close to me. In fact I thought she was much further away.

I turn to look at her my face flushing. "Say it any louder will you?"

Lucy quickly dismisses my words. "Don't worry I always do a spell before we talk because it's private, however." She says her brown eyes going to where Klaus and Elijah are sitting. Klaus is still looking over here, and now Elijah too glances in our direction. "If you two keep looking at each other like you're ready to tear apart each others clothes, everyone in town will know." She starts chuckling. "As if they couldn't tell when he popped up during our lunch outing."

I let out a sigh and run my hands through my hair nervously.

"Fix yourself." Lucy says her lips twitching. It was something her mom use to say every time we acted up as kids.

Before either of us know it we're giggling.

Vincent walks over to his spot and soon begins talking into the microphone. "Let this meeting begin." Vincent says causing the room to go silent.

From where I sat, I watched as Vincent did his thing, he talked the talk and walked the walk. He went over this with people who had questions and even explained the logistics of everything he was talking about. In fact he was on good terms with everyone so it made it easier to listen to him. And I was in awe because he was really that good at his job.

Bonnie

Once a break is called in the town meeting, I find myself lingering off to the side with Lucy while she chats away with the locals. Some come over and speak to me, more so witches and warlocks who were showing appreciation for my help in getting the magical band lifted in the quarter. Some eyes roam my way, with what you could feel was contempt for even bothering to broker a deal with a vampire, let alone a hybrid. And others seemed to be watching as if they were trying figure me out and what motive I would have, aside from Lucy to even care about the witches.

From across the room I can feel ocean blue eyes lift over to me, along with a pair ice blue eyes following my every movement. The reason behind the sudden interest is purely because a wolf by the name of Chase introduces himself to me. He's cute, dark hair, chocolate brown eyes, and facial hair, which I am feeling. Turns out he's one the guys who actually has a job, which is a rarity in the supernatural world. It always seems like most people are just rich from being old, or having family fortunes but Chase is a supernatural detective, which is pretty cool.

"So how about you, aside from freeing the witches of the Mikaelson band on magic, what else do you do, or like to do?"

I have to bite back a grin. Like this had never been my life. Often times I was looked over, but it felt like and seemed like here, people saw me, and I liked being seen. "Well, I like to travel a lot, hence the reason why I'm here." I say with an easy shrug.

Chase nods his head. "Maybe you might want to tell me all about your travels, maybe over dinner and drinks?"

In that moment it literally feels like I'm aware of everyone that is watching or listening at that very moment. I can see Vincent and Damon talking over in the corner, with Vincent facing where Chase and I are standing. Damon pulls out his trusty flask gripping it rather hard. Across the room, Klaus and Elijah who were deep in conversation suddenly stop, and some of the admirers of Chase are looking my way.

In all honesty, I wouldn't mind getting a drink with him. Klaus and I weren't serious and I spent most of my life, not really living it.

Just as I am poised to speak our phones go off at nearly the same time. I look down seeing that it's Caroline, the same Caroline I had seemed to miss every time she called. Chase had looked down at his phone, saying it was the station, and soon pulled his card out, placing it into my hand before jetting off.

My cell rings once more before I decided to take it and leave the room, with all the tongues wagging.

Klaus

The very moment she had left he had fought within himself to appear aloof. He listened without really paying attention and responded to those he deemed worthy but really, he was just trying to listen out for her.

Finally after a mere ten minutes he lifted from his seat, ignoring the warning look Elijah sent his way. He had whispered to his brother in a long forgotten language and soon left the room all together. He wasn't even surprised when he ran into Damon Salvatore on his way out, probably hoping to get a moment alone with her as well.

"Stalking again," He says by way of greeting the lovesick vampire. "It never does work out for you, mate."

Damon turns around quickly his fist clenched. "Says the man who couldn't even keep Caroline Forbes."

He shrugs. "Caroline is so far in the past, but you know who isn't, Bonnie!" He grins. "In fact, I can still taste her on my tongue," Grin. "That's something you'll never get."

He's not surprised when Damon makes a move to strike him and as predicted he moves behind the vampire and snaps his neck.

BB-BB-BB

Bonnie

Alone I finally hear and see Caroline a smile forming on my lips.

"Bonnie! Thank goodness we've been missing each other way too much." Caroline says as she appears in front of me, she's holding her phone up in the perfect lighting. Gotta love Caroline.

I grin into the phone and find a place that I can lean against the wall. "I know, I miss you babe!"

"I miss you too babe." Caroline echos. "I nearly forgot what you sounded like, let alone looked like, and now that I'm looking at you- you're glowing girlfriend!" Caroline beams.

I let out a chuckle. "I think it's the magic that surrounds this place."

"Let me see the full look."

Rolling my eyes I pan the phone down from head to toe, so that Caroline can see what I'm wearing.

"Okay seriously you're like super hot, and magic has nothing to do with it." She beams. "That's from straight up good D."

I can't even hide my grin. "How in the world can you tell so far away."

Caroline maneuvers the phone as she rest on her back. "First off, your glowing, second your dress is showing loads of cleavage. Your lips are painted red, for seduction and you just look properly screwed."

She was right about it all of course. My time with Klaus had certainly had worked wonders for my body and skin. My eyes even looked clearer. I had no idea it could be like this, like ever.

"So tell me about him and please tell me it's not Damon because I will literally throw up the blood bag I just downed."

I roll my eyes gearing myself for a rant from Caroline about Damon but instead she just waits patiently. "It's not Damon." I say causing Caroline to get up from her bed and do a happy dance.

I clear my throat causing her to stop mid dance. "What, I'm just celebrating a victory for the ages!"

I can't help grin. "You seriously thought it was Damon I hooked up with?"

Caroline blinks rapidly. "Yes. You guys are attracted to each other even if you refuse to admit it to me or anyone else for that matter." She shakes her head. "Whatever I'm just glad whomever you hopped on, wasn't him."

I nod my head. "We're, actually like on a break."

"Wait a minute?" Caroline nearly screams. I have to look around to see if anyone is looking my way because she's super loud. "You broke up with Damon?"

My brows raise. "You are aware we were never together, he has never been my boyfriend."

Caroline scuffs. "Please, you were more of a girlfriend to him then his own girlfriend. "Caroline says shaking her head. "You guys are like emotionally invested while Elena, as much of a cow as she is, was the unlucky person that got him in bed," Caroline then holds her finger up probably seeing the words written all over my face I'm about to say. "And I can attest, that he talks just as much when he thinks he's laying it down as he does when he's not laying it down." She shudders. "Consider yourself lucky. You dodged that train wreck."

I snort.

"Now about the guy who is laying it down," Her eyes sparkle. "I want full specs and inventory of everything." Caroline insists. "And I mea g."

I can't help it now, but I'm full on laughing because this is why I love Caroline. As much as I would like to share with her, what I'm up to here, I'm not about to share stories about Klaus, I mean how weird would that be. I could see it now, so did he do that one move that left you nearly blind from falling apart? Or was it that delicious thing he does with his tongue? Not in this lifetime would I divulge that information. Instead though, I opt to give half truths.

"His name is Nik, and he's an owner of a club." I say hoping my words sates her thirst.

"And I'm guessing he's hot." Caroline asks.

I can't even hide a grin. "Very much so."

Caroline squeals and dances around again. "I am so glad, you're not only getting laid but that you moved on for all the suckers from the past." Eyebrow wiggle. "Including King Sucker."

I let out a scuff about the past guys I've been with. "Me too."

"Tell me, does he have a brother because then we could totally double date?"

Once again I'm giggling because that is such a Caroline line. "Lucy called already has her eyes set on the brother." I chuckle. "And she'll fight you for him."

"Damn! Well at least you're happy- I'm happy for you." Caroline bursts.

I smile a real smile. "Thanks C." I say my smile slowly fading. "So what's going on, on the home front?"

"It depends," Pause. "Do you want the Elena saga or your coming home party?"

A frown is threatening to overtake my face because 1. I don't really care about the Elena front. And 2. I was dreading telling Caroline that my trip was extended till further notice.

"I guess door number 1."

Caroline lets out a sigh. "So get this, Stefan finds Elena in the hole she fell in, I guess she was just waiting for someone to get to her." Eye roll. "Anyway, she fell by the old Lockwood, crypt and Stefan gets to her, he nearly gets her to come out because why she would want to stay down in the dirt is beyond me..."

"Caroline, the point." I urge a playful smile on my lips.

"Okay, so he gets her to like the light and then this bitch realizes that Damon is not at the end of the tunnel and walks back into the cave, dirt area."

I can't help it I'm cackling. "So she like got out of the hole, reached the end of the tunnel and was now at a crypt opening and all but turned around like a ground hog who saw it's shadow."

Caroline is giggling now. "Yes, and get this, after she realizes her boyfriend was nowhere near, she goes on a rant about how she gave up everything for him!"

I shake my head. "I mean," I say shrugging. "It's Elena."

"And to top it off, she starts crying and snoting and saying it was mistake to throw away everything she and Stefan had, for Damon."

The sad thing was, I was not surprised at all by the current events going on back home. "How did his new girl take the news?"

"She clocked Elena and looked like she might get Stefan once she saw him holding her."

Now it's my turn to laugh because the drama continued. At least I wasn't in it.

"Now, onto your return date, I would like to know what you plan on wearing because I'd like to decorate the house in colors that work well with what you're wearing."

I sigh. "About that, I'm actually extending my time here, something came up."

Caroline pouts but then sobers up. "I guess I can't fault you, you're obviously glowing from all the sex you've been getting and I guess I'll just have to wait till the newness wears off."

I snort, while she chuckles. It's seconds later when we disconnect, and I'm feeling better after finally talking to her.

When I put my phone away I round the corner, surprised to see Klaus leaning against a wall, looking every bit like the rouge vampire er hybrid he was. Gosh he was pure trouble, but at least he made things fun.

KM-KM

Klaus

When she rounds the corner, his eyes take every detail of her. He looks at her from head to toe and then back up again.

"You were gone awfully long." He muses.

"And you felt compelled to come look for me?" She asks a hint of a smirk on her lips.

He bites back his own grin. His hand itches to reach out and touch her buttery soft skin. He aches to be between her legs, hearing her call out his name. "Lets just say, I'm making sure no one is touching what's mine." He reaches for her but she steps back, her green eyes dancing with mischief.

She crosses her arms in front of her chest offering the most delectable view of her breast. Oh how he missed nuzzling the twin beauties. "But I'm not yours." She says her voice in a challenging whisper. The sassy grin she sends his way, is what does it.

In a flash, he's got her wrapped around him. His lips are trailing down the exposed skin of her neck. "What about now?" He asks placing a tender kiss to the side. When she refuses to respond he does so again, this time sucking on the tender flesh. "And now?"

He pulls away to look at her, just as she places tiny hands on his chest. "I'm still not yours."

Somewhere deep inside the words you'll be mine soon enough rattles and vibrates in his chest.

"Be honest," She says lifting his chin up, he had been caught staring at her chest again. "In your obvious stalking attempt," He scuffs. "Did you listen to my phone conversation?"

He smiles a slow smile. "I don't stalk, I lurk." He levels her with a look. "As for your conversation, I heard every word. It's good to know you think I'm hot."

She tilts her head up to the sky as if she waiting for an alien to take her to its space ship. Then she looks at him and shakes her head before walking away.

"It's quite alright if you walk away from me love, the view from behind is marvelous!" He only roars with laughter when she holds up the middle finger in the air.

Elsewhere

Click, Snap, Flash. With every picture taken a story was told.

From afar, eyes watch with keen interest the self proclaimed Hybrid King and the Bennett witch. The power they radiated together was nearly blinding. It was something that was enough of a jolt to cause anyone with knowledge of the hybrid to pause. Niklaus loved his witches, unless he didn't. And now he seemed to met someone who essentially was his match.

It was no surprise that the hybrid had found his match, in the Bennett witch. The family had been come from a long line of powerful women and Bonnie appeared to have the most power of them all. If the rumors were true, not only was the witch skilled, but she was also fearless, a trait an opportunist like Niklaus would find alluring. As for the Bennett witch, she seemed taken almost as much as Niklaus.

They looked happy.

What some might see as two people enjoying themselves, laughing, joking and flirting. These eyes had seen a budding relationship between the strongest of the vampire/ wolves and the strongest the Bennett family. Essentially, the two of them were a romance that could never happen.

After all the pain he caused everyone, he didn't get to be happy not after everything he had done, not after all the people he had wrecked, all the lives he had ruined. He had personally inflicted pain on anyone within his vicinity for hundreds of years. It high time someone pay him back for all those who perished at his hands, his words or his actions.

He didn't deserve an ounce of happiness. Yet watchful eyes had seen glimmers of that happiness in the form of two witches.

Of course, the first witch, had been the offspring he had sired. The same offspring whom had inherited genes from, vampire, wolf and witch. Hope was the only of her kind, and her power rivaled her fathers. The Bennett witch had seemed to grant that monster shimmers of happiness as well, and that wouldn't do. Between, he, his daughter, and the Bennett witch, the power the three of them had together could change the world they all lived in.

Once again it appeared Niklaus was stacking the deck in his favor. The only difference was that, this time he would lose it all.

A.N. 2: The next chapters will go back to being shorter chapters, this one just ran away from me.
