Don Karnage wished he could fire some weapons at the Thembrian forces, but a little to his panic, he didn't have any. He, at least, knew which tank was Megavolt's because he had not only seen it in Jeremy's side yard, but it was also the only M1 Abrams. Karnage still did what he could. He picked up one Thembrian Tank with his winch and immediately dropped it in the lake. For his next move, he used the blades of his chopper to cut open a Thembrian blimp, so it would leak out all of its hot air. And sure enough, it lost control and crash landed.
Megavolt continued firing one round after another, blowing up more and more Thembrian forces, and he was absolutely loving it. "Die, you Thembrians! Die! Die! Die!"
For another move, Don Karnage used his winch to pick up one Thembrian tank to drop on another, and it bent the turret out of shape. So he realized he could simply pick up the next tank my its cannon, and that was just what he did. He used his winch to bend one turret after until the rest of the tanks started to turn back. For his next move, Don Karnage picked up one more Thembrian tank with his winch and used it as a wrecking ball against the remaining blimps and choppers while Megavolt continued firing rounds at them. After about ten more minutes of combat, the Thembrian forces gave up and went home. Don Karnage landed his chopper back at Jeremy's place. Megavolt returned his tank there and looked at the scoreboard. Under his name, it displayed eight points. And Jeremy had something to remind Candace of. "Candace, your turn."
Before taking her first turn, Candace called Don Karnage into question. "Mr. Karnage, do you normally do a lot of looting, regarding what you stole from that runaway train?"
"I used to," Karnage answered. "but now, I'm better known as an aerobatic pilot, complete with teammates and wing walkers."
"So why are you and Megavolt such good friends?" asked Jeremy.
Don Karnage told it just as it was. "Megavolt and I are BFFs, because he wears pants amid several enemies who don't in the same way that I do."
Candace's curiosity continued. "Have you ever blindfolded Megavolt to lead him to a special surprise?"
"I never have," Karnage answered. "It's been the other way around."
Megavolt stepped in. "Your turn, Candace."
"Alright, then," said Candace. "but after this game is over, I really need all three of you to testify against Phineas & Ferb for this." And she rolled the dice. It landed on five. A message appeared on the board for her. And she read it out loud. "Detox facility construction project scheduled tomorrow. Grab the excavator and dig a pit for the foundation."
"I don't think there's room for it here in this neighborhood," replied Jeremy.
"That's a fair point," said Candace. "but still…" But before she could talk any further, she was teleported to an empty lot, where she found herself already wearing protective construction gear. And there was already an excavator idling. She took a good look around. "Hello? Anyone here?"
"I'm here." It was Launchpad McQuack. "And we need you to cover the afternoon shift on the excavator. The cement mixers will be here first thing tomorrow. And if they have to sit, it'll cost us badly."
Candace was still bewildered. "So how do I know where to dig?"
Launchpad explained in a hurry. "Exactly where you dig is in within the four survey stakes I've put in place. Each one marks where a corner is supposed to be. And I need the whole pit five feet deep." Without another word, he clocked out, hopped in the Thunder Quack, and flew away.
Candace quickly got in the excavator and tried it out for size. She fiddled with the controls, and it was nothing shy of a frighting experience. She remembered just how frightening it had been when she first got behind the wheel of a car, but this was far more petrifying. She really felt the power, and it was a scare, comparable to a loop in a roller coaster. But she wanted a good score. So she knuckled down and began digging in it. Once she took the first scoop of dirt, she took it aside and dumped it. She took a second scoop and threw it to the side, too. As she took the digging further, she actually found the job fun. Scoop by scoop, bucket by bucket, she carried on. At one point, she was concerned that her mother and stepfather would file a missing person's report. But she remembered that Don Karnage, Megavolt, and her boyfriend before her had all returned before long. So she forged ahead. In one sense, it was very hard work. In another sense, it was fun. After a while, it was sort of tiring, but the sheer power of the machine was still a thrill. Once the entire pit was five feet deep, Candace was teleported straight back to the board game. "Finally! I got the job done!" She checked the animated score board. And under her name, she saw ten points.
"How was your first turn?" Jeremy asked Candace.
"In some ways," answered Candace. "it was tiring. In other ways, it was a blast. I really felt the power in that excavator."
"Jeremy," said Don Karnage. "Your turn now."
Jeremy rolled the dice. It landed on three. His piece moved three spaces ahead. There was an animated message on the board for him. And he read it out loud. "Fourth of July fireworks display atop Mt. Tri State. Haul fireworks there by sunset."
