Don Karnage and Megavolt both appeared back near Jeremy's house with their artillery still well intact. Megavolt knew just what he wanted to do next. And he explained it over his two way radio. "This is it, Don Karnage. Next, I want to destroy the San Quentin State Prison."
"Excellent decision, my friend," replied Don Karnage and airlifted Megavolt, in his tank, straight to that very facility.
When they got to San Quentin, they were quickly spotted from the lookout tower and confronted over a loudspeaker. "Attention aircraft! This airspace is prohibited! Reverse course now!"
Don Karnage dropped the tank out front and carried out a reply over his own loudspeaker. "As you wish, stupid head." Then, he flew to the nearest gas station to refuel.
Megavolt fired up his tank and drove towards the main gate, being shot at, but the tank was completely bullet proof. He crashed through the gate. And the guards broke out their machine guns. But Megavolt still didn't stop. He took aim and fired his first round at the lookout tower. It was a direct hit sending the glass room up in smoke. And he carried on shooting the towers as if he was shooting ducks in a shooting gallery and really going for the gold. Once all the towers were down, he ran over five of the guards and fired his next round at the warden's office. He then went on to fire rounds at one of the prison's wings, blowing the biggest holes in the wall. A small handful of inmates took the opportunity to escape, but the rest ran for cover. Megavolt blasted a few more holes in the wall and went on to run over about 25 more guards who were trying to stop him. Following that, he blasted 18 holes in the wall on the other side of the wing, allowing more inmates to run free. But most of them feared for their lives, too. He went on to run over about 22 more guards, much to a few inmates' pleasure. But being unarmed, most were still worried that they had been caught in the middle of a war. Some were nervous that they were about to be annihilated for their crimes, but Megavolt went on blast holes in the prison's second wing. The remaining guards tried climbing on his tank to pull him out by force, but he electrified the tank, giving them the most painful electrocutions they could ever imagine. He blasted one hole after another after another in every part of the prison… "Take that, you stupid facility!" …until he ran clean out of ammunition. He went on to run over about 48 more guards before making his getaway.
When Megavolt came out of the torn through prison gate in his M1 Abrams Tank, Don Karnage knew just what the signal was for. He took to the sky in his Chinook Helicopter, lowered his winch, and used his loudspeaker again. "Come along, Megavolt." So as soon as Megavolt slowed the tank down, he whisked the tank home to the board game. They checked the scoreboard. And Megavolt now had twelve points.
Candace was now totally blown away in a negative sense of the word. "I still just can't believe the cops never came after you guys!"
"I guess you didn't hear Megavolt's actual wish," Don Karnage pointed out.
"My actual wish," Megavolt pointed out. "was to legally carry out a rein of terror."
Candace was still somewhat agitated. "I'm telling both you guys, I've seen much better days, with Phineas & Ferb, all year round."
"We still have a game to finish here," Don Karnage pointed out.
"And it's still your turn, Candace," added Jeremy.
Candace was in no mood to party anymore but did what she had to do. She rolled the dice. It landed on four. There was a message on the board for her. And she read it out loud. "15 men are going into diabetic shock. Get them all to the hospital in 40 minutes." And before she could call anything into question, an ambulance appeared right out front with the lights and siren already active. Candace got behind the wheel to see if the GPS already knew where the first target was, and sure enough, it did. But it also showed a timer counting down the minutes and seconds before the patent's likely death. She threw it into gear and peeled away in the very direction the GPS was leading her. But it was sheer tension for her. Other motorists did their best to stay out of the way. But she still couldn't help but worry about a horrible accident. When she encountered motorists in front of her, stopped at a red light, she almost had a panic attack. But she remembered something she had seen EMS do earlier in driver's ed. She drove into the oncoming lane of traffic, where oncoming motorists pulled over to make way for her. Finally, she pulled into the apartment complex, where another teenager was waving her down and asked him the quick question. "Do you know who's going into diabetic shock in this complex?"
"Yes," said the other teenager quickly. "He's my dad, up there, in unit eight."
Candace took the key out of the ignition, grabbed the stretcher, and searched frantically in unit eight. She found it in moments and knocked on the door. "Come in," said a female voice from inside.
Candace went in to see that the victim was laying on the floor, gasping for air, and that the young woman inside was totally emotional. "I just hope he's not already terminally ill."
The other young woman was still anxious. "I'm just praying that my dad will be okay. Please take good care of him!"
"I will," answered Candace. "I'll get him to the hospital in a flash!" So she quickly scooped him up with the scoop stretcher, straddled him carefully down the stairs, secured him in the back of the ambulance, checked the GPS for directions, and peeled out of the parking lot, rushing him to the hospital. Once she was on the road again, all motorists were letting her through. But she could barely keep her emotions in check. She looked up and noticed that she was about to rear end another stopped car at a traffic light, so she slammed on the brakes and swerved into the oncoming lane of traffic once again. She was not only having an emotional experience, but also an anxious experience. All vehicles pulled over to make way for her. But she still couldn't help but worry that someone might have their stereo up and not hear her siren. With the patent still alive, she made it to the hospital with him, where there were plenty of doctors and nurses waiting. So as soon as the patent was on his way in, and she had the scoop stretcher available again, she checked her GPS for the next patent. The route was highlighted as before. And the clock was ticking. She activated her siren and peeled out of the parking lot as before. But she was barely able to keep the tension and emotion in check. She picked up the patent from the scene of an accident, involving a big rig and rushed him to the hospital, still feeling anxious about his condition. After 13 more runs, she returned to Jeremy's place, had a look at the scoreboard, and it said that she had 22 points. "Jeremy, it's your turn again."
"I don't know about you three," confided Jeremy. "but I'm getting the creepiest feeling about this whole game."
"Can you, at least, testify about it to my mom?" asked Candace.
Jeremy had hesitations. "This game could still prove to be an exceptional birthday present."
"Besides," added Megavolt. "Either of you could still land on an effective wishing star like I did."
"Not to mention," added Don Karnage. "As a game of many different skills, it's better than a theme park."
Candace was still at odds with her brother and stepbrother. "I just want to get through this and get out of here. Jeremy, it's still your turn."
"Right, you are," replied Jeremy and rolled the dice. It landed on four. His piece moved ahead four spaces. There was an animated message for him. And he read it out loud. "Whitewater tubing. Survive the ride with the least bodily harm."
