Two hovercraft appeared right out front. One with Buford at the helm. The other idling unoccupied. Megavolt reluctantly got in the empty one, hoping he wouldn't get wet. An animated traffic light appeared in front of him and Buford. And they both heard the announcements from who sounded like Mayor Roger Doofenshmirtz. "When the light turns green, put the pedal to the metal. Megavolt, Buford, stand by."

Slowly but surely, the traffic light turned from red… to yellow… to green, and the race was on. Megavolt saw the animated checkpoint and took aim, but the hovercraft's drifting tendency came as a frightening surprise to him. But he did realize a technique. It was like competitive drifting, only the vehicle did it by design. He chased Buford a few blocks down, not letting go of the accelerator, and was having quite the taste of high speed adventure. He and Buford raced a few blocks further, having the time of their lives, and once on a big straightaway, Megavolt saw his big chance. He tapped the rearmost side of Buford's hovercraft. And both hovercraft lost control, spinning out in opposite directions and slamming sideways into the back of a big rig. With speedy reflexes, Megavolt refocused, saw his big chance, and pulled ahead. "Take that, tough guy!" The next couple checkpoints were straight ahead, but the one after that was on an exit ramp. Megavolt was right on target with it and soon had the hang of it, but what he saw coming next was something to dread. The checkpoints were leading him straight into the river. He knew that hovercraft like his were amphibious, but his electrical superpower came with a weakness. It could be shorted out by water. But he had scored points on his first two turns. So without thinking, he hit the water on his hovercraft. And it was still an experience of thrills. In fact, he also remembered that he could make full recoveries from exposures to water. And right up ahead, he saw the checkpoint on the other side of the river. He put the hammer down and hunched forward for less air resistance. He knew just how high to aim the hovercraft for the checkpoints to turn around and immediately saw the first checkpoint for the return part of the race. But Buford deliberately splashed him by passing too close. His electrical superpower shorted out. And Buford took most of the electrocution. That gave Megavolt a chance to pull further ahead. He came off the river, got back onto the open road, and went weaving through traffic. As far as the checkpoints went, he was right on target. But he was still on edge about Buford catching up and overtaking him. He carried on at about 35 miles an hour faster than the speed limit, dodging one vehicle after another and stayed ahead Buford. But after that splash, he knew how Baljeet felt about all that bullying from him. It was also a grim reminder that he and Darkwing Duck had both been tormented by the same school bully. But by no means did he let that stop him in the race. He saw just the right exit to get off at and once again, was right on target. By now, he had the hang of a hovercraft and was still having quite a time, driving it. Back at Jeremy's house, an animated, checkered flag was waved on him. He immediately hopped out, went out back to see the scoreboard, and saw that he had 26 points. "Now, we're talking! Now, I'm really on the board!"

Jeremy and Candace were now wide awake, and Jeremy launched a reminder. "Candace, your turn now."

"I just hope I don't have to do another high pressure job," said Candace and reluctantly rolled the dice. It landed on three. Her piece moved ahead three spaces. There was a message on the board for her. And she read it out loud. "Shooting star. Make a wish as it passes." Moments later, a shooting star did come her way. She knew just what to wish for. And just as Megavolt had done before her, she made her wish out loud. "I wish my mom believed me about everything that Phineas & Ferb had been up to."

Jeremy heard his girlfriend and had an idea. "Candace, let's check the news to see if your wish came true."

"Excellent idea, Jeremy," replied Candace with a smile and pulled out her smartphone. She went through the local news sources. And sure enough, she did find a headline about her brother and stepbrother. But it wasn't at all what she was expecting. "Nine-Year-Old Stepbrothers Become Top Earning Inventors."

Candace tapped into the news coverage to see the story, and hearing from the news anchor, it was a shock to her. "If artificial intelligence has ever let you down or even impressed you a great deal, imagine being able to clone your very manual intelligence or even someone else's. That's just what two close nit stepbrothers have made possible. And thanks to that, they've raked in four million dollars by now. Margret has the story."

"Jeremy," said Candace. "have a look at this."

Jeremy came over. Candace continued watching. Phineas & Ferb showed up on screen. And the narration continued from Margret. "Cutting, welding, sheet metal, and a tremendous outcome."

Linda came on screen. "I never could have imagined that the boys were capable of a project nearly like this."

Margret continued her narration. "That outcome was the first of its kind."

Phineas came on screen for his interview. "This is our biggest success, yet."

The narration continued. "That success – a new kind of cloning machine."

Phineas came on screen again. "It creates a robotic clone of the body and a totally advanced and precise clone of the human mind."

The narration continued. "That cloned mined is every bit as capable and just like the original, really goes the distance."

Linda came on screen once more. "I never noticed it before, but as it happens, my son and stepson both have savant syndrome."

The narration continued. "Savant syndrome is often associated with autism, but in comparison with autism, it's totally rare. In Phineas & Ferb's case, it includes perks for the whole family. Both parents get to chauffeur the boys in a brand new Rolls Royce. And the whole family has a VIP cabin on an Atlantic cruise booked. The boys plan to patent more inventions in the near future and not slow down anytime soon. Reporting live. I'm Margret for News Five Danville."

"Those boys really have a lot going for them," remarked Jeremy.

Candace was rather disappointed. "I guess there's no stopping them now." She took a look at the scoreboard, but it was more bad news. "I can't believe I still only have 22 points."

"And there's no stopping us, either," remarked Megavolt. "Jeremy, it's your turn again."

"Will do," replied Jeremy and rolled the dice. It landed on six. His piece moved ahead six spaces. There was a message on the board for him. And he read it out loud. "Hostages held by Dr. Doofenshmirtz. Rescue them before the worst happens."
