Only a couple seconds later, another M1 Abrams Tank appeared out front, and Jeremy knew it was for him. He got right in behind the wheel, fired it up, and the GPS immediately showed him the way to Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated. He threw it into gear and hit the gas to see if it could really go fast enough for the local streets, and sure enough, it did. It was also no harder on the pavement than the few vehicles he had driven before. But on public roads, it still made him a little nervous. He kept one eye on his GPS and another eye out for possible collisions. He sort of wished Megavolt was there to help him, but he had to remember that Megavolt was one of his three opponents. He took the tank further, seeing if it was fast enough for the wide open road, and it was. He merged responsibly, just as he had always done, and also as before, took care not to tailgate anyone.

When he made it to Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated, he fired a warning shot. But the only response from Dr. Doofenshmirtz was setting off his car alarm. He fired another round, but all it triggered was an announcement over the building's intercom. "Perry the Platypus, if that's you outside, don't try breaking in or I'll throw all five hostages clear off the balcony."

Jeremy knew there was only one safe thing to do. He drove straight to Buford's place, hitched up his giant trampoline, and towed it straight to Doofenshmirtz Evil Inc. He then, placed it directly below the balcony and fired a few of the tank's rounds into the mid section of the building. Sure enough, Dr. Doofenshmirtz threw the hostages off the balcony one by one. First, came PB&J Otter, then, Pinch Raccoon, and finally, Darkwing Duck. "Don't worry, guys," Jeremy assured them. "You're safe now. Just hop on the tank, and I'll drive you to safety."

PB&J Otter, plus Pinch Raccoon quickly cooperated, but Darkwing was defiant. "Don't you know that I'm supposed to be the hero, here?"

Jeremy remained steadfast. "You'd better not be stubborn and accept my help."

"Since when does a known superhero need a civilian's help?" questioned Darkwing.

"Suit yourself, then," said Jeremy and drove away in the tank, but Doofenshmirtz leaped from the balcony, himself and partway down, opened his parachute.

"Sir, wait up!" cried Darkwing, running after the tank. "I changed my mind! Please! Wait up!" Darkwing continued running after Jeremy, but after only about a mile, he was gasping for air. Moments later, be got his big chance. Jeremy stopped at a red light. Darkwing caught up. And Pinch Raccoon pulled him up onto the tank. And it was just in the nick of time before the light turned green.

Jeremy eventually made it home totally relaxed and noticed a difference. "Darkwing, I see you really needed my help after all. The five of you can stay with me until I can help you out further."

"That would be awesome," replied Peanut with enthusiasm.

"I agree," added Pinch.

Jeremy had a look at the scoreboard, and now, under his name, were up to 37 points. "Yes. Oh, yes. Oh, yes."

"If only things were that awesome for us," said Pinch.

"What's been the matter?" asked Candace.

"It was our friend, Flick," answered Peanut.

Don Karnage took over the story, because he had actually witnessed it. "Flick Duck was always the one who made PB&J Otter memorable. He had the funniest way of imitating not only other residents on the lake, but also everything they talked about. One day, they were all under my protection when Colonel Spigot came along, trophy hunting them. And Flick gave his life to defeat him."

"And we've been grieving ever since," added Peanut's sister, Jelly.

"I'm so sorry to hear that," Jeremy said emotionally.

Candace felt just as bad for them. "Sorry is not a powerful enough word to tell you how Jeremy and I feel about what happened."

"I believe it's my turn in the game now," said Don Karnage and wasted no time, rolling the dice. It landed on four. His piece moved ahead four spaces. There was a message on the board for him. And he read it out loud. "Paintball game underway. Tag a maximum number of armed enemies in ten minutes." So he went out front to investigate and saw that his helicopter was already equipped with a paintball turret. He looked inside to see that there were also a joystick for aiming it and a video monitor to show him where he was aiming. He fired up his chopper, and sure enough, the monitor immediately came on. The GPS also came on to show him where all his targets were. He took off and headed straight for his nearest few targets, and sure enough, they were armed with paintball guns, too. The first two turned out to be Chip & Dale, firing relentlessly at Donald Duck. Don Karnage decided to fire at all three of them and deliberately hit Donald directly in the butt. He thought it was someone under Chip & Dale's orders, so he returned fire to them. But before they could get away, Don Karnage tagged both of them. And before they could return fire to him, he swung out of the way went on to his next couple targets, which turned out to be Timon and Pumba. Timon hopped on Pumba's back. And the dynamic duo tried to make a run for it. But with fast reflexes, Don Karnage tagged Timon on the back of the head and Pumba in the butt. Timon returned fire but wasn't able to hit Karnage before he got away and went on to his next few targets. Better yet, Don Karnage's next three targets turned out to be his familiar enemies, Baloo, Wildcat, and Rebecca Cunningham. He took aim from a distance and fired rapidly at all four of them. When Baloo tried to return fire, Karnage fired five rounds directly into his nose. And they were all direct hits. Karnage flew to his next few targets, who turned out to be seven panthers, uniformed for Khan Industries. He steadily took aim and fired a bunch of rounds into their rear ends, getting the biggest kick out of it that he ever could have imagined. An even bigger kick than he had gotten out of making them crash upside down in the ocean to loot them. And as soon as they attempted to return fire, he fired directly into their faces. He carried on, tagging one target after another after another until he got word that time was up. From there, he returned to his game against Megavolt, Jeremy, and Candace to see the animated scoreboard, and under his name were a handy 51 points. "Yes! Oh, yes! I'm in the lead again."

"I never knew you were so stellar at paintball," remarked Jeremy.

Don Karnage had more news. "I've played paintball before. It was an endurance game on the island of San Andreas."

"That must have been a blast," added Candace.

"And it was," replied Karnage with a smile.

"Don Karnage, himself, is a blast," added Megavolt.

"And so is Jeremy," remarked Candace with affection.

"Your turn, Megavolt," said Jeremy.

Megavolt rolled the dice. It landed on three again. His piece moved ahead three spaces. There was a message on the board for him. And he read it out loud. "Planting Season underway. Stu and Bonnie Hopps need your help."
