So Sparky She-Demon wanted a story involving the Tok'ra, not sure if this is what she had in mind but I had fun writing it.

Hope you like it.

"If we get out of this I'm going to be having some serious words with your father," Jack snapped at Sam, "And with the rest of the bloody Tok'ra who thought this was a good idea."

"Get in line sir," Sam responded, brushing her dripping hair out of her eyes even though she knew the rain would push it back again within a few minutes.

They both froze and waited as a patrol of Jaffa went past, clearly not bothered by the rain or at least not showing any discomfort.

"This rain is really getting annoying," Jack complained once they were clear.

"Mmm," Sam agreed before continuing to say, "It looks clear, maybe we should try it now sir."

"Ok," Jack agreed, keeping his voice low, "But we leave the packs here. We can go quicker without them."

"But we need them sir," Sam objected, "Or at least the C4 in them."

"You're right," Jack agreed, "There's just too much to put in our pockets."

Sam nodded. Jack huffed but then looked around once more and slowly stood up from the position they had taken crouched behind a low wall. Sam also stood and the two quickly swung themselves over the wall before they sprinted towards the building they were trying to get into for the Tok'ra.

They got there without too many difficulties and Jack stood guard, his gun up and ready to fire at a moment's notice, while Sam quickly opened the door. Once it was open Sam checked the corridor was empty before she ducked inside, tapping Jack on the shoulder to let him know. Jack waited a few seconds, to double check the area to make sure that there was still no one around, before he quickly turned and followed her in. Automatically they both moved to find cover as the door shut behind him, just in case anyone came to have a look. They weren't too worried about that though since, according to the Tok'ra blue prints and intelligence, this was a side door well away from anything important. At the time Jack had deemed it the Goa'uld escape route and now, if everything went to plan, it was going to be their exit too.

"Where to now Carter?" Jack asked Sam, keeping his voice low, barely above a whisper. He had looked at the blue prints when they'd first been asked to do this by the Tok'ra but he had been more interested in getting in and out, he'd left what to do when they did get inside for Sam to sort.

"We need to try and dry off a little first sir," Sam replied in an equally low voice, "Just because these corridors are meant to be basically deserted doesn't mean that wet, muddy, footprints will go unnoticed."

Jack nodded and looked down at his feet, as well as Sam's beside him. Neither was too muddy but there was enough mud to possibly leave a mess.

They took the chance to put their packs on the floor and strip off their dripping water proofs. They both folded them up and then put them into the bottoms of their packs, in case they needed them again later if their escape plan went wrong.

"Right," Sam declared once they were done and their packs were back on their backs, "We need to follow this corridor then take the second left, then the third right after that then a left, then we should be where we need to be."

"Good," Jack responded, attaching his gun to his vest while Sam did the same, "Are we expecting any company?"

"According to intelligence no sir," Sam replied, "But it would pay to be alert."

"Yep," Jack agreed. He checked around before saying, "Right, you take the lead Carter, I'll watch out six."

"Yes sir," Sam said as she took one last look around before standing and walking down the corridor. Jack followed a few paces behind and both hugged the wall as they went, to give themselves a better chance of hiding if someone did happen to appear.

It didn't take them long to reach their destination and once they checked that the room was empty, opening the door and slowly looking round it, they both headed in and shut the door behind them.

"I'll set the explosives, you get whatever it is we're here in the first place to get Carter," Jack instructed.

Jack nodded and handed Jack her pack before she headed towards the bank of crystals that stood in the middle of the room. She walked around it a few times before she pulled out the instructions that the Tok'ra had given her. Carefully she worked her way down the page, pushing in a few crystals while she pulled others out carefully.

Jack finished placing nearly all the explosives and moved to watch Sam work. As he watched she carefully checked her instructions one last time before she pushed in another crystal before pulling out another and stepping back.

"All set?" Jack asked, coming to stand beside her, "The combination all done?"

"Nearly sir," Sam replied. She took a step forward and placed the crystal that was still in her hand into a slot on the other side of the bank. Then she pushed it fully in and went to stand beside Jack once again.

They both stood and watched as the crystal bank turned on its base before it began to expand in all directions, creating gaps in the column. "Cool," Jack whispered under his breath. Sam smiled and then Jack continued to say, "As much as the Goa'uld are, well I think the best way to describe them would be power hungry parasites, you've got to admit that some of their tech is pretty neat."

Sam chuckled again and shook her head. When everything had stopped moving the gaps were more than wide enough for Sam to reach in through to get at what was inside. Before she did that though she turned to Jack to say, "Can you place the explosives sir; we're going to have to beat a hasty retreat as soon as I take this out. The Tok'ra don't think there will be any further security measures, but…"

"Better to be running than dead," Jack finished for her with a nod.

"All ready to go sir?" Sam asked she walked towards the column.

Jack looked around and grabbed the packs from the floor where he'd left them before he looked to Sam, nodded, and said, "All set Carter, go for it."

Sam quickly swapped the block of C4 for the large crystal before she pulled the crystal she'd put in last out again, the bank proceeding to close up again.

They both started towards the door at a fast walk, almost a jog, and Jack handed Sam her bag back before he put his own, Sam put the crystal into her bag, nestled safely on top of her waterproofs before she put it on her back.

Once both had their bags sorted their gentle jog turned into a run. Just as they rounded the last corner they came across a Jaffa patrol. The patrol primed their weapons as the leader shouted, "Kree!"

Jack and Sam however didn't even slow down. Instead they moved to the sides of the corridor and Jack pulled out the detonator and set off the explosives. Because Sam and Jack knew what was coming they kept running and opened fire on the confused Jaffa. The Jaffa only managed to get off a few, badly aimed, shoots before they were all dead on the ground. Around them the walls shook a little, settling after the explosion, and Jack and Sam returned to the centre of the corridor, made their way round the dead Jaffa, and continued their run for freedom.

They reached the door and Sam opened it quickly before the two of them ran straight for their escape plan, hoping that their path was still clear. They were in luck, they made it to the cloaked cargo ship the Tok'ra had leant them for this mission. They headed inside and Jack went immediately to the pilot's seat while Sam made sure that the doors were shut before taking the seat beside him.

Jack quickly and gracefully got the ship off the ground and above the trees, heading straight up towards open space.

They remained silent until they were well clear of the planet and in hyperspace on their way back to the current location of the Tok'ra base. "Well that was fun," Jack muttered as he out the cargo ship into autopilot and stood up, not wanting the get his seat any wetter than it already was.

"Indeed," Sam replied with a smile, getting up too.

"So that was a fun little run wasn't it," Jack commented, stripping off his sodden jacket and throwing it over the chair, hoping the dry it out, even a little.

"Yes sir," Sam replied as she went to the bag in the corner to grab a change of clothes for herself and Jack, as well as something to eat.

The trip didn't take too long thankfully and the two of them spent the time talking about stuff, Sam's experiments, current, completed and planned, along with when Jack was next going to go to his cabin to try and catch that ever elusive fish.

When they arrived Jack landed quickly and then two of them made sure that they were decent and that they had everything they'd come with before they got out of the ship and meet with the Tok'ra what had gathered there.

"Next time," Jack commented after they'd said their hello's, "You want someone to run an errand to a world where it nearly always rains, send one of you own people, Carter and I are soaked to the skin and tired after all that running."

Sam didn't say anything before she handed over the crystal and the two made their way towards the Stargate, ready to go home and shower.
