So I wrote this over the past week long hand at college and at work during my breaks, I hope that you like it.

SG1 had been off world for a week and all of them were looking forward to getting back to earth for a decent shower and food that didn't come out of wrappers.

It had been a fairly easy mission, Daniel and Vala digging around in the ground before photographing and beginning to translate what they had found in the ruins.

While the two of them had been enjoying themselves, Teal'c, Cam and Sam had been left with very little to do, the only reason they were here in the first place was because SG1 were due an easy, unthreatening, mission.

The three had made the most of the peace, playing cards and trying to scare Cam with stories from previous missions. The three were more than glad though when Daniel and Vala announced that there were done, a full two days ahead of their original estimate.

The group were all heading back to the gate, all thinking about their plans for that evening, once they'd all showered and been checked over by the doctors.

Daniel and Vala were planning on a movie marathon back at Daniel's flat, well Vala was planning it and Daniel was finding it impossible to say no. Teal'c was planning on having his own marathon in his quarters on base, while Cam wasn't really sure what he was going to do since he'd been expecting to still be off world. Sam was planning on surprising her husband, who she knew was in town visiting the SGC.

Once they were all showering, all loving no longer having sand in all their clothes, and had been given a clean bill of health by Doctor Lam, they all went their separate ways, Daniel and Vala heading to the surface, and Teal'c to his quarters, while Can decided to stay in the infirmary to try and talk Doctor Lam into going out with him.

Sam said goodbye to them all before heading for her lab, she had a few little things to do before she could go home.

What she had to do was soon done and Sam started to shut down her laptop and give her workbench a bit of a tidy in preparation of being off for a few days now that the mission was over.

She had almost finished putting everything away when there was a knock on the door. Sam sighed; all she wanted to do was go home, chances were someone knocking on the door was going to put a pause on that plan.

However she knew that she had to answer it so she moved over to the door and pressed the button to open it. As she door opened and she saw who it was on the other side her face split into a smile. "General O'Neill," she greeted.

"Carter," Jack replied, also smiling. He stepped into the lab and said, "Not interrupting anything I hope?"

"No sir," Sam answered quickly, "Just packing up ready to head home to surprise my husband since I got home early."

"He's a lucky man," Jack muttered.

Sam laughed. "I'm a lucky woman," she replied, "Now however that surprise has been ruined."

Jack smiled at her. "Sorry about that but when I heard you were back early I just had to come and see you."

Sam wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him quickly on the lips. "Well that would explain why you're not in uniform," Sam muttered as Jack kissed her in return.

The two laughed and then Sam pulled away. "Give me a minute and then we can go."

Jack nodded and then moved to lean against the end of the workbench while Sam continued to tidy up.

It didn't take her long and Jack was soon helping her put her jacket on. When the pair went to open the door however they encountered a problem, it wouldn't open.

"Oh come on," Sam grouched as she continued to push the button time and time again, "This cannot seriously be happening right now."

Jack smirked. "Will pounding the button do anything Sam?" he teased.

Sam narrowed her eyes at him put did let her hand drop from the button. She grabbed hold of the phone instead and put it to her ear as she dialled. "Siler," she greeted once the phone was answered by the other party, "There still appears to be a problem with my door. Would it be possible for you to come up and let myself and General O'Neill out please?"

She listened for a moment before saying, "Thank you Siler." She then hung up and shook her head. "Damned thing has been on the fritz for weeks," she explained to Jack. She then frowned as a thought occurred to her. "Ever since it was general knowledge that you were coming here in fact."

"I'm sure that it's just a coincidence," Jack responded, "I mean things are forever in need of repair around here aren't they."

"Mmm," Sam breathed, "It's just a pain is all. I tried to fix it a few times, and I thought I had each time, but it would start playing up again soon after."

Jack nodded, he could understand that, it would annoy him too if something he'd thought he'd fixed broke again.

"At one point," Sam continued, "I entertained the idea that maybe someone was doing it on purpose, but why would anyone do that?"

Jack hummed in agreement.

The two were silent for a moment then they caught each other's eye, realisation on their face.

"You don't really think," Sam began.

"No, of course not," Jack continued, "I mean why would they purposefully lock you in your lab?"

"What if," Sam mused, "Everything before was just going to make me think nothing of being locked in, what if this was the whole point? To lock the two of us in her together?"

"Why would they do that?" Jack asked, "I mean what could that possibly achieve?"

"They don't know we're married remember," Sam explained slowly, "Maybe they decided to try and force a result for the multitude of bets that have been placed about us over the years."

"They wouldn't," Jack tried to disagree, "I mean they just wouldn't."

"You're not sounding very sure there Jack," Sam pointed out, "And it really wouldn't be the first time people have tried to interfere."

Jack shook his head. "This is unbelievable."

Sam smiled and shrugged. "There must have come to the same conclusion we did after we both got reassigned, you to DC and me to Area 51, that enough was enough."

Jack shook his head then laughed. "They're just a few years too late is all."

Sam laughed along with him.

"Hang on a second," Jack said, "If this was all a set up that means…"

"SILER," they both exclaimed together.

"Yes sir, ma'am," came a voice from the door.

The pair spun to face it and saw Siler standing in the doorway, which was still sliding open, telling Sam and Jack he'd only recently arrived.

"We'd like a word with you Siler," Jack began.

"About why you purposefully sabotaged the lock on my door," Sam continued.

Siler looked between the two of them. "I… you… we," he stuttered.

"Yes?" Sam prompted.

Siler then shook his head, turned on his heel, and sprinted away down the corridor. He'd known that if Sam or Jack had worked it out then he was going to be in trouble, but most of the base had gotten behind the idea and he'd eventually agreed. Now however, seeing the two disapproving faces, which were a lot scarier than he remembered, he had no choice but to run. There was no way he was going to face them.

As he ran he couldn't help but think what a bad idea this had been.
