After Irina and her family had left, Kuoh, Issei, and Valerie were sad since their first friend had left, but still had Rias to play with whenever she came around, this time though, they had to have eyes on them at all times after they were ambushed .
Victoria found out that the people who were set on attacking Valerie and Issei were other descendants of Maous like her, so she made an emphasis on watching them. She had her familiar, which was a dark Phoenix watch over them
One day, Issei and Valerie were walking around Kuoh when they came across a long staircase, which ended in a shrine where they found a girl, months older than them playing alone.
????: Oh, hello.
Issei: Hi there.
Vali: Hi.
????: Did you need something?
Issei: Oh yes, we were walking around town, and we saw this staircase, so…..
Vali: We wondered what was at the top here, to which we found this shrine here. Do you live here?
????: Yes I do, I live with my parents.
Issei: Oh, forgive my manners. I'm Issei Hyoudou.
Vali: And I'm Valerie Hyoudou.
Akeno: I'm Akeno Himejima. You're siblings?
Issei: Close, we're actually Cousins, but we're more like siblings .My mother adopted Valerie.
Vali: Nice meeting you, Akeno. You can call me Vali
Issei: And you can call me Ise.
Akeno: Of course Vali, Ise. You have a ball there, want to play ?
I/V: Sure Akeno.
The three kids played together, whilst inside, a woman, was watching them play together and she looked happy that her daughter had found friends.
Shuri: Look, Baraqiel, Akeno's got some friends.
Baraqiel: I see that Shuri, but why do I sense Devil energy from them.
SC – Hyoudou Home
Victoria had been tracking Issei and Valerie for some time. She'd been a worry wart ever since they had been attacked at the park she was surveying them from her familiar.
SC – Himejima Shrine
As Akeno, Valerie, and Issei were playing, Baraqiel went out to see the kids when he sensed Vali and Issei's Devil signature.
Baraqiel: Akeno, get away from them! What do you want devils??
Issei: We mean no harm, sir. We were just playing.
Vali: Yes, sir, we mean no harm.
Akeno: Dad, please stop. They don't mean any harm.
Baraqiel: They still have the signature of devils.
Akeno: But dad, they also have a human signature. They're just like me.
Victoria, watching from her familiar, was getting pissed off by the interaction and decided to teleport to their location.
As Baraqiel ,Issei, and Valerie stood off, a silver Lucifer Circle appeared, and out came Victoria, looking extremely angry.
Baraqiel: Victoria Lucifer!!!
Victoria: You want to pick a fight with my children Baraqiel??!
Issei: Mom, stop, he was just protecting Akeno the same way you would me ,Valerie and Irina.
Valerie: Yes, auntie, there is no need to worry.
Baraqiel was dumbfounded to see that Issei was Victoria's son and Valerie, her niece.
Shuri: What's going on??
A Yamato Nadeshiko appeared from behind the shrine, looking exactly like Akeno, but the exception of her eyes.
Baraqiel: Shuri, stay there.
Gorou: Victoria, what's going on??
Victoria: Stay there, Gorou.
The two pairs of families ended up separated by the children. Shuri, Baraqiel, and Akeno on one side and Victoria, Gorou, Issei, and Valerie on the other. Shuri then slapped Baraqiel.
Shuri: Did you not think that she would react that way! You're threatening her children! I understand her feelings perfectly and why she would react that way, they must have been a danger not too long ago and she must have been worried over them, are you not a Leader of your Faction, think before you act!!
Baraqiel was slapped into reality with that as he realised Shuri's words .
Shuri: The best we can do is apologise to them.
The Himejima family turned to the Lucifer-Hyoudou family with Shuri leading them.
Shuri: Lady Victoria, I can not express my deepest apologies for my husband's actions. He is just extremely overprotective of Akeno.
Victoria: Oh no, it's alright, I understand his protectiveness. My children were attacked a while ago, so I've been a bit paranoid over them.
Shuri: I see.
Baraqiel: Victoria ,I hope you can forgive me for this.
Gorou: It's alright ,I'm just hoping there will be no other misunderstandings.
Shuri: Would you like to come inside for tea?
Victoria: It would be our pleasure. Ise-kun, Vali-chan, you'll continue playing Akeno-chan, right?
Vali: Sure, Auntie.
Issei: Of course, mom. Come on, Akeno-chan.
The two couples went inside as the three kids continued playing.
Shuri: Here you go. My husband usually prefers Sake for when he is stressed.
Victoria: Thank you, Miss Himejima.
Shuri: It's alright, and please call me Shuri, Lady Victoria
Victoria: Leave out the Lady, its not really necessary.
Baraqiel: When did you move to Kuoh, Victoria?
Victoria: It has been a while, I wanted to move out of the underworld, so I talked with Queen Yasaka and Lady Amaterasu about moving here, to which they agreed ,then later I met Gorou, we got married and had Issei. At around the same time, Valerie was born as well, but Razevan saw what Father was going to do, so he faked her death and sent her my way.
Baraqiel: So Rizevim is still trying to destroy everything.
Victoria: Yes, he is.
Baraqiel: Hmm, I see.
Gorou: I've always wondered why is Akeno alone most of the time?
Shuri: Ah, it's because she would think some kids would see her as a monster because of her half Fallen heritage, plus my clan didn't approve of me marrying Baraqiel so they would try to kill her.
Victoria: My apologies to hear that, honestly I had the same worry for Issei, and Valerie, but they made friends, Irina though she recently moved to England was the only normal human other than her family who knew of who we are.
Then there was also Rias, though that is a given considering the Gremory Clan is one of the few that doesn't discriminate against a person's heritage and treats their servants as family.
Baraqiel: So, in the technical sense, Kuoh is under the Lucifer Family's governance?
Gorou: Yes, it is that way. Underworld politics would be a messier headache than living in a town on the outskirts of Greater Tokyo.
To Akeno, Valerie, and Issei
The trio were playing well together, playing catch and all sorts of games, that was until Akeno stopped and cried a bit.
Vali: Akeno-chan, what's wrong?
Akeno: No, it's just ,you're the first people to not discriminate against me due to my heritage.
Issei: Like you said, we're just like you, we're also Half-Devils, though it's unlikely the devils in the underworld would discriminate us due to mom.
Akeno: What do you mean?
Vali: Auntie Victoria is actually the strongest person in existence right now. She can beat Great-Red, and she has before
Akeno's jaw dropped at hearing that Victoria had beaten Great-Red before.
Akeno: Really?!
Issei: Yeah, it was when she was younger, fresh off the Civil War, mom was a battle maniac so she sought out strong opponents quite frequently, eventually beating Shiva, then Great-Red, even Ophis doesn't cross mom's path knowing what she can do.
Akeno: Wow.
Vali: Akeno-chan, could I see your wings?
Akeno: Ummmm, sure, Vali.
Akeno unfurled her pair of black wings to which the Lucifer pair looked astonished.
Issei: Wow their so fluffy.
Vali: And soft
Akeno: Thanks, guys.
Issei: Here's ours as well
Vali and Issei showed Akeno their wings as well, Vali 5 pairs of wings and Issei 6 pairs.
Akeno: Wow, you both are really strong .
Issei: It's not really much.
Vali: Yeah, Auntie probably has more than this and just chooses to show only a single pair.
Akeno: But I do have a question: How come you're devils but have Angel Wings?
Issei: Oh that, it's because of Great Grandfather, remember before he was cast out from heaven and fell, he was an angel. So it's pretty much guaranteed for a Lucifer to have these wings, though I think it's only myself, Valerie, mom, and Great Grandfather who had this composition of them.
Akeno: I see then.
The trio returned to playing as they enjoyed themselves, whilst despite a rocky start, the Himejima and Hyoudou family became extremely close, quite like the Hyoudous and Shidous, along with the Lucifer, Lucifuge and Gremory Families.
The kids would constantly rotate visits from one another's family, as they grew closer, with Akeno growing a slight crush for Issei. One day, though, something would happen that would make Victoria's blood run cold
Shuri and Akeno were home as Baraqiel had been called back by Azazel for a mission, Victoria had left a warning beacon around the shrine as she ,Issei and Valerie were preparing dinner as Gorou was about to return from work, when the beacon went off.
Victoria: Oh no, Shuri!!
She immediately teleported to the Himejima Shrine, but she was with the kids so they came along ,what they saw was a scene of devastation as the shrine was destroyed and no one was there, she ,Valerie and Issei began searching around. Vali and Issei could not find Akeno.
Baraqiel and Azazel soon arrived when they found Victoria looking for Shuri, Baraqiel was panicked and began searching as well, Azazel assisted as well.
Victoria: Shuri! Akeno!
Ddraig: Partner, head that way, pointing in a north-east direction.
Issei began running into the forest in that direction as he sensed a sign of life but it was dwindling, Valerie was not far behind, that's when they found Shuri, slowly slipping away.
Vali: Aunt Victoria! Over Here!!!!!
Baraqiel, Victoria, and Azazel were alarmed by the calls from Vali. They went in the direction where the Twin Sky Duo went and Found them trying to heal Shuri.
Baraqiel: Shuri!!!!!
Baraqiel immediately raced to his wife's side.
Shuri: Baraqiel, I'm sorry I wasn't able to protect Akeno.
Baraqiel: No its my fault for failing both of you!
Victoria: Don't go, my friend.
Shuri: Victoria, I enjoyed the times we had our talks , please find my daughter and take care of her..
Shuri was almost gone when Victoria asked a question of Baraqiel.
Victoria: Baraqiel, I can save Shuri but I need your permission to reincarnate her as one of my pieces.
Baraqiel: Please do so, Victoria.
Victoria: Okay……….. In the name of the Devil Queen, Victoria Lucifer, I reincarnate you, Shuri Himejima, as my Bishop, Live on!!!!!
The Bishop Piece mutated as it entered Shuri as her breathing stabilised.
Victoria: She's safe, but I'll need to take her back home to continue healing her with Phoenix tears.
Issei: We'll stay here with Uncle Baraqiel and Great Uncle Azazel and continue searching for Akeno mom.
Victoria: Stay safe you two, Uncle Azazel take care of my kids.
Azazel: Will do Victoria.
The Quartet continued it's searching for Akeno, as it turned out fruitless ,that was until a call came in from the Gremory Household.
[Communication Incoming – Rias]
Victoria: Rias what's going on?
Rias: I heard you were searching for Akeno Himejima?
Victoria: Yes we are, do you have any information on her?
Rias: Yes ,I've got her here, I had to reincarnate her as my Queen to save her.
Victoria: Thank goodness, thank you Rias, I'll inform Baraqiel of this, tell her I managed to save her mother..
Rias: Of course Lady Victoria.
