Charri got off the train that led back to the Conton City Center and checked her head's up display. As a newly promoted Time Patroller, she had access to four of the trainers; Yamcha, Tenshinhan, Piccolo and Krillin. As she got stronger and completed more missions, she'd "unlock" other trainers, like the Saiyans, the Frieza Force, the Artificial Humans, and eventually, Whis and Beerus. She looked forward to training with those last two, as they were the only ones who could help her ascend into Super Saiyan Godhood.

But for now, she was happy to work on the basics. And these four all had something to do with how things were back home, before joining the Time Patrol. Krillin created the New Turtle School, taking elements of what was taught by the Turtle Hermit and at his Orin Temple, and implementing techniques such as the bukujutsu for flight to round out the style. It was this style that Charri trained under, though due to his advanced age and eventual death, she never got to train directly under the creator of the school.

Tenshinhan was the creator of the New Crane School, the rival of the New Turtle School, though it was far more friendly than the original Turtle and Crane schools were. Unlike Krillin, Tenshinhan had only trained under the Crane School in his youth, and only implemented techniques from other schools later in life. The Kikoho and Dodon-Pa were specialties of the New Crane School, and Charri looked forward to learning them.

Yamcha's style was based around his Rogafufuken technique, a high-speed melee technique built around the speed and bite of the wolf, with elements of the Turtle School and the bukujutsu technique added in to round him out for the modern battlefield. Charri could learn a lot about close combat from Yamcha.

And finally, though it didn't have an official name like the others, Piccolo's "demon style" was what he taught Gohan when he was a child. He taught some basic attack strings, stances and many, many ki attacks, including his special, the Makankosappo. Out of all the trainers, Piccolo would be the best to help Charri get strong quickly.

Charri decided to head back toward the Patroller Academy and found Krillin in his youth. She smiled as she approached him, as he looked exactly like he did during the many conflicts her extended family had been part of.

"Hey, you're Charri, the new Time Patroller, right?" Krillin said as she approached. "I got a message from the Kaioshin of Time that you might want to train with me."

"I'd be honored to train under the founder of the New Turtle School," Charri said, bowing before Krillin. "Your insights were lost when you passed."

Krillin blushed and rubbed his neck nervously. "You don't have to talk to me like I'm some mythical figure, you know."

"Sorry," Charri said. "It's just that…I'm from a point in time when you ARE a mythical figure. You, Yamcha, Tenshinhan, Piccolo, great grandpa Goku…all of you are legends for what you did back in the day. You guys are the reason we had peace when I grew up."

"Gosh, when you put things that way…" Krillin said before cutting himself off and back on his original train of thought. "I'm told you trained under my New Turtle School, but didn't really learn any advanced techniques, right?"

"Just the bukujutsu and the Kamehameha," Charri said. "But the Kamehameha about as basic a ki attack as you can get."

"But it's a very useful springboard," Krillin said. "The Kamehameha gave me the experience I needed to learn how to fly, use the Taiyoken and eventually, gave me what I needed to create the Kienzan."

"I would have liked to have gone a little further in my training, but when Trunks offered me a job in the Time Patrol, I took it immediately," Charri said.

"Well, this is your chance to finish your training. Come on, I've got a pocket dimension where we can start on the Kienzan," Krillin said. "And from there, I'll teach you some unique variants of it."

"I'd like that," Charri said, bowing before Krillin. "I'm not going to miss out on those techniques again."

Author's Note: I'm not going to tackle every trainer individually. Just the ones that are most important to her development. But rest assured, she does train under ALL of the Xenoverse 2 masters.
