The time had come for her next mission. Charri rode her hoverboard back to the Time Nest, though it struggled with the stairs, and she entered the Time Nest. However, she was met by someone she hadn't met before. It was a Kaioshin with blue skin and red eyes.

"Hi, I'm Milele, the Kaoishin of Time's apprentice. The Elder Kaioshin has asked me to bring you to the Time Vault," Milele said, offering her hand in friendship.

"Nice to meet you," Charri said, shaking the Kaioshin's hand.

"I'm sure you're confused to see me," Milele said, leading Charri to the Time Vault. "Well, I haven't been here that long. I was training under Shin for a while before Chronoa found me. She has a task for me that I intend to perform to the best of my ability; the Toki Toki is about to lay an egg, and I'm supposed to be the guardian of it."

"Toki Toki's going to lay an egg?" Charri asked, confused.

"Oh, you don't know the significance? The Toki Toki creates time for new universes; when an egg is laid, a new universe can finally begin its life," Milele said, happily. "And I'm going to be the guardian of a new timeline."

"So, he creates all the timelines for all the universes?" Charri asked, excitedly. This was a big deal!

Milele chuckled. "Actually, most universes only have one timeline. Your Universe 7 is the only one currently existing that has multiple stable timelines. All other timelines have either been pruned by Chronoa or had their universe destroyed by Zeno."

Charri shivered at the mention of Zeno. Her great grandfather was friends with him, but that didn't mean he wasn't dangerous due to just how…childlike he was. He destroyed universes on whims and played games with galaxies. And he was the highest deity in all the multiverse, so you didn't want to piss him off.

"Anyway, the Elder Kaioshin was looking for you," Milele said. "I'll see you soon, okay?"

Charri nodded and headed up the stairs into the Time Vault, where she was met by both the Kaioshins in charge. Her briefing was quick; Towa, the leader of the Time Breakers, had messed with the Saiyan battles once again. Charri took the scroll and headed into the battle, where she found herself at the point in history just after Nappa had killed both Tenshinhan and Chaozu, leaving Piccolo, Krillin and Gohan to battle him.

Nappa had been powered up, but Charri's recent training put her on his level. Though, thanks to Yamcha's training, she could utilize the Kaioken, meaning that, like her great grandfather, she could temporarily multiply her strength. And right now, a times four Kaioken was her limit, though she intended increase her stamina over time.

The battle with Nappa was tough; his strength had been increased severalfold by Towa's power up, so he could tank blows that would have taken him down hard in the proper timeline. And her great uncle Gohan, despite being well trained by Piccolo, was still only a 5-year-old boy, and was terrified. The three adults fended the elder Saiyan off, but when the time came for Gohan to attack after Nappa was knocked down to toward ground, he ran away and hid.

"Kaioken!" Charri shouted, activating the technique and rushed down toward Nappa, getting to the ground before he hit, and used Piccolo's Evil Explosion to send him back toward Vegeta. She charged up a Kamehameha and blasted Nappa, doing enough damage to put him at the state he was supposed to be at this point in the battle.

It was that point when everyone felt the presence of Goku, though something was preventing him from getting there. Charri broke off, leaving the battle to Krillin, Piccolo and Gohan, since Piccolo needed to die before Goku got there, and headed toward whatever was keeping her great grandfather.

What she found was strange was a man in Saiyan battle armor, but he looked like Goku and Goten. Charri dropped into a fighting stance just as the Elder Kaoishin came in over her communication device; this was Turles, an enemy from another timeline, one where Goku hadn't been as badly injured and Yamcha, Tenshinhan, Chaozu and Piccolo survived the battle with Vegeta. He planted the Tree of Godly Might, and had eaten the fruit, making him more and more powerful each time he did.

Turles was strong. He was giving Goku and Charri a run for their money, holding both of them off. Charri had been forced to use a Kaioken just to keep up with the evil Saiyan, though Goku hadn't needed to do so.

But a savior had come. A powerful presence entered the timeline, and it was a familiar face; Peparia, the Ancient Saiyan. Turles took that moment to run, and Peparia was forced to stop midair. She looked over at Charri, nodded, and left the timeline, continuing her search for the Time Breakers.

"He's gone. But who was that anyway?" Goku said.

"That was Turles, from another timeline," Charri said. "I'm on a Time Patrol mission, and I'm here to help you."

"That's good," Goku said. "Come on, we need to help Gohan!"

Charri and Goku flew back to the battle, and all had happened as it was supposed to; Krillin was crippled, Piccolo had died protecting Gohan, and Gohan was badly hurt. Goku gave a Senzu bean to his best friend and son and squared off against Vegeta.

"Kill her, Nappa," Vegeta said. "I will take care of Kakarot."

Charri activating the Kaioken at the base multiplier and charged in at Nappa. She nailed him with a hard left in the gut. She then followed up with several more, before launching him into the air. She then charged up a Masenko, which nailed Nappa right in the face.

But Nappa wasn't dead. He rushed in and nailed Charri with the same attack that cut Tenshinhan's arm off, but all it did was knock Charri back. Nappa charged Charri again, but Charri countered with the Rogafufuken, striking multiple times through Nappa's guard before knocking him back at a rock formation.

It was this point when Goku and Vegeta began their beam struggle, but unlike the proper timeline, Nappa was still alive. He charged up his own ki blast and fired at Charri, who was forced to block the attack. And just as Goku used a Kaioken times four, Nappa released his beam, only to see Charri alive, though she was hurt badly.

Charri charged up a Kaioken Kamehameha and blasted Nappa, forcing him to block as well, though much like Goku with Vegeta, she overwhelmed Nappa, putting him in the dirt.

But Nappa wasn't dead. And with Vegeta using the Power Ball technique, Nappa looked up and began to transform. Instead of one Great Ape like the proper history, there were two.

Charri was panicking. Vegeta as a Great Ape was dangerous by himself, and now, Nappa would make things far more difficult. Charri did the only thing she could think of; she called out to Krillin to cut their tails off and used a Kaioken time three to charge at Nappa.

Charri rushed in at Nappa's tail and grabbed ahold of it, flying up as high as she could while holding Nappa. Thankfully, Krillin had enough time to charge up and throw his Kienzan before Charri's arms gave out, severing the tail of the elder Saiyan. And before the Kaioken could run out, Charri fired a Kamehameha at Nappa, which had enough force to finally kill him.

Charri turned to Vegeta and realized that her liberal use of the Kaioken had worn her out. Goku was also worn out due to having to ramp up to a Kaioken times four to overwhelm Vegeta in the beam struggle and was now at the point as well. And just like in the proper timeline, Goku was caught by Vegeta and had been crushed by him.

Charri cursed the fact that she had been born without a tail but remembered that there was one more Saiyan here with one; Gohan. She shouted for Gohan to look up, which he did hesitantly, and transformed into a Great Ape. And thanks to Goku's telepathy, Gohan focused his attention at Vegeta, giving him the time to gather what energy he could for the Genki Dama. He handed it off to Krillin, who headed up to a higher ledge.

"Don't worry about Gohan," Charri said, heading to another ledge. "He's pure of heart, so the Genki Dama won't hurt him." She then charged up two Kienzans, preparing for the right moment to cut off the Great Apes tails.

The battle was heavily in Vegeta's favor, but he was cocky; he didn't think anything could hurt him. And when he left himself open, Charri threw her first Kienzan at Vegeta's tail, severing it.

"Krillin, now!" Charri shouted as Vegeta began to shrink. Krillin followed her order, and threw the ball, nailing Vegeta head on. And then, Charri threw her other Kienzan at Gohan's tail, severing it as well. Both fell to the ground, but Vegeta was gravely injured.

Krillin dropped down and started to limp toward Vegeta, intending to kill him. But in the proper timeline, he couldn't be allowed to do that. She placed herself between him and Vegeta's pod, shaking her head.

"Why are you stopping me?" Krillin asked, clearly confused.

"It's okay, Krillin," Goku said as Vegeta crawled into his pod. "Next time, I'll beat him on my own." He turned his head to Charri as the pod blasted off. "Thank you."

Krillin turned around and started limping back to Goku, and Charri took the scroll out of her belt and returned to the Time Vault.

The Kaioshin of Time and the Elder Kaioshin congratulated Charri, as did another voice at the top of the stairs. She looked up and saw two other Time Patrollers; Trunks, the woman Charri idolized, the Ancient Saiyan Peparia.

"Nice to meet you," Trunks said. "I'm Trunks, the leader of the Time Patrol. This is my partner, Peparia."

"Hello," Peparia said, nodding.

"I know who you are!" Charri said excitedly. She was practically bouncing. "You're the one who stopped Demigra! You're a hero!"

Peparia just shook her head. "Quit fawning over me," Peparia snarled. "Fame only gets people killed."

"...I'm sorry," Charri said, bowing her head.

"Don't mind her," Trunks said. "She's a little blunt, but she's nice once she's warmed up to you."

"We've got a job to do, Trunks," Peparia said. "Towa and Mira are causing problems again, and I don't like it when people I kill return to life."

"And that's why Charri was recruited; she's going to take care of the changes in history so we can focus on finding them," Trunks added.

Peparia looked over Charri and glared in dissatisfaction. "Your power is low. I hope you're a novice instead of a weakling."

"Uh, yes," Charri stammered out. She was still freaking out at meeting her idol, despite the dressing down she'd gotten. "I've only been here a few months, and before that, I was a student in the New Turtle School."

Peparia smiled slightly. "Then you should keep up your training," she said. "If I know Towa's methods, you'll be facing off increasingly stronger foes as she gathers battle energy for Mira." She looked over at the Kaioshins and continued. "Now, I'm hungry after my recent fight with Mira, so I'd like to get something to eat. By your leave." She bowed before the Kaioshins before leading up the stairs.

Charri's mind was racing. The saying went "never meet your idols", and this was true here. Peparia had been cold and blunt, but that's what Charri had expected from a Pureblood Saiyan. They didn't feel as strongly as Earthlings did, which is why the Super Saiyan state was such a big deal for them; that much rage was foreign to them.

But still, Peparia's strength, as well as her accomplishments, were worthy of emulating. Charri was going to take Peparia's words as she meant them and get stronger. She'd make her idol proud one day.

Author's Note: I gave Yamcha the Kaioken, since he trained under King Kaio, since he has little going on besides his non-martial arts careers. This gave him something unique in a way like Krillin's New Turtle School and Tenshinhan's New Crane School.
