Charri stood on the landing pad for the Capsule Corp Time Rift. She'd been given a new assignment regarding them; help stabilize them. Other time patrollers had figured out how to do so, but they needed a strong individual to complete the tasks necessary to do so. For Namek, it had been to fend off the Frieza Force whenever the call came out and get the Grand Elder to recognize her. On Frieza's ship, it was to join the Frieza Force and become the right hand of either Frieza or his brother Cooler. At Buu's house, it was to help him create his species by feeding him as much as a Saiyan could eat, and at Hercule's house, it was to gain the trust of Hercule and help Gohan and Videl defend their city as the Great Saiyanman 1 and 2.
But at Capsule Corp, she had to gain the trust of Vegeta. And depending on when this rift came from, she wondered if Vegeta would recognize her.
Charri entered the rift and looked around. She saw Vegeta as a younger man, meaning he probably wouldn't recognize her due to the time period he was from. She saw Bulma, and she looked like she was in her mid-40s, so Bulma wouldn't recognize her. And in the side yard, she saw Trunks and her grandfather running around and playing, and she knew that this Time Rift was from after age 774.
She walked over to Vegeta, somewhat dejected. Vegeta looked up and glared at Charri. "Who are you? What do you want from me? Don't speak to me if it's not important! You're disrupting my training!"
And that's when Charri realized how they'd stabilize this time rift. "I'm here FOR you, Vegeta," Charri said. "I'm here to train with you."
Vegeta grunted. "You seem marginally better than the rest of these trash around here," he said. "You're a Saiyan, aren't you? Like my son and daughter."
"Yes, I'm a Saiyan descendant," Charri said.
"You must be a time traveler," Vegeta said. "Because the oldest hybrid is Gohan, and he only had his first child recently."
"You going to train me or not?" Charri said, standoffish. She couldn't reveal too much about her life, because while stable, this Time Rift was not part of the proper timelines of Universe 7.
"You've got some spirit!" Vegeta said, smiling. "Very well, show me how strong you are!"
Charri nodded and began powering up. She ramped up her strength as high as she could, but it was far below Vegeta's at this point. But before Vegeta could mock her, she rushed in with a hard left to his cheek. This caused him to flinch, though he wasn't moved back in the slightest. But Charri couldn't let up, coming back right kick to his ribs. Vegeta merely grabbed her leg and tossed her into the fence.
"You're definitely a novice," Vegeta said, looking down at Charri as she climbed out of the bushes. "But you have potential. Get yourself trained up and come back. You're no use to me now."
Charri nodded, knowing what that meant. She needed to give Vegeta a fight worthy of his strength if she was going to stabilize the rift. And she looked forward to getting strong enough to do so.
