Author's Note: Chapter title is a reference to the English dub of Dragon Ball Kai version of the "Ginyu Tokusentai" theme that was played when the Ginyu Force first landed on Namek. Check out both versions on Youtube, they're hilarious.
Charri walked through the portal to enter the Time Nest, having received a call about a new change in history. She had just finished training with a 5-year-old version of Gohan, which was after she had trained under Raditz and Nappa. Vegeta was next on her list, but it wasn't the same Vegeta at the Capsule Corp Time Rift; this one immediately recognized Charri, even in her adult form. That meant that Vegeta was either a composite version of him who had knew all the forms and abilities from all the different timelines, or he was far enough along in her history to recognize Charri as an adult.
Charri pushed those confusing thoughts out of her mind as Milele explained the mission; Ginyu had taken control of someone he wasn't supposed to, and he was about to kill Krillin and Gohan.
Once in the Time Vault, Charri took the scroll and concentrated on it, entering the timeline before this event happened. She entered the timeline when the Ginyu Force were beginning their "Special Fighting Pose" as they introduced themselves to the crew. Charri smiled, as she'd always enjoyed their poses, as well as her great Uncle Gohan's Great Saiyaman pose. In fact, she'd play "Ginyu Force vs Great Saiya Squad" with her cousins, so she learned ALL the poses.
But Recoome and Guldo had dark power ups, so she had to take them on first. In the proper history, Guldo had to die first. "Gohan, Krillin, you two handle Guldo. I'll hold off Recoome until you're done." She said, dropping down into her fighting stance.
"That's funny!" Recoome said in his big, goofy voice. "We were going to play rock-paper-scissors to choose between you guys!"
"I promise, I'll give you plenty of fun!" Charri said. And almost immediately rushed in with a hard left to his cheek. This sent Recoome flying, but Charri didn't relent, rushing in behind him and sending him upward. She rushed after him again and began rapidly pummeling him with all her strength before sledgehammering him back to the ground.
Recoome backflipped as he hit the ground and planted his feet. He then did a special pose and shouted "Recoome…Eraser Gun!" before firing off a purple blast from his mouth.
But Charri wasn't afraid. She didn't dodge, instead placing her hands above her head, the left hand over the right and started charging ki. "Masenko!" she shouted and thrust her hands forward, meeting Recoome's ki blast with her own.
The blasts were evenly matched, so Charri was forced to let out a loud kiai that helped her channel her ki to a high enough level to overwhelm Recoome's blast. Recoome was forced to disengage and dodge, which played right into Charri's hand.
"Kaioken times three!" Charri shouted, powering up and rushing down fast enough to once again connect with Recoome's jaw. But Recoome rolled with the punch, spinning around and nailing Charri with a ki laced punch he called the "Recoome Mach Attack!"
Charri just smirked as she flew back, twirling her body before lightly landing on her feet. She then slid her right leg forward and thrust her hands forward and started charging up her ki. She then pulled them back in a familiar motion and started chanting the familiar words that came with this attack.
"Ka-me-ha-me-HA!" she shouted and blasted the humanoid. But Recoome simply blocked the attack, holding his arms across his body.
"Kaioken times FOUR!" Charri shouted, boosting her strength and allowing her to overwhelm Recoome, burning off his armor and knocking out several of his teeth.
But Recoome wasn't done. He flipped up back to his feet and said "I'm getting bored! Can I end this already?" He then crouched into the starting point of his ultimate attack. "Recoome…Ultra…. FIGHTING…"
But he was cut off with a powerful blow to his stomach. Goku had arrived. Krillin and Gohan were relieved that he was there, but Vegeta was irritated; in this history, he hadn't taken any damage thanks to Charri, so he was irritated that Goku had taken the victory. But he refused to allow Goku to take the kill, blasting Recoome with a ki blast powerful enough to turn him to dust.
But Goku's attention was not on Vegeta; it was on Jeice and Burter. But as in the proper timeline, after Gohan and Krillin left to retrieve the Dragon Balls, Vegeta blasted off too, leaving the fight to Goku and Charri.
But something wasn't right. Charri felt a familiar presence enter time timeline and landed behind Jeice and Burter. He offered them both a piece of fruit from the Tree of Might, and both hesitantly took it. They both ate the fruit and were immediately overwhelmed by their new power. Once they were stable, their ki had spiked heavily, making them on par with Goku right now, and above Charri.
But Charri wasn't afraid. She knew she couldn't use the Kaioken as liberally has she had during the Saiyan battles, but she had both instantly deadly techniques and techniques that could raise her ki far beyond what she was capable in a resting state.
She took to the air and clapped her hands together, crossing her fingers except for the index and thumb, and let out a loud kiai to help her gather he ki. Then, she uncrossed her fingers and placed her tips together to form a diamond.
"Shin Kiko-HO!" Charri shouted, firing off the blast and flooring Burter. She fired it again and again and again, keeping him down until his stamina finally wore out. She fired off one more blast, ending his life without a problem.
However, something strange happened. Trunks flew in with a scouter attached to his ear.
"What the hell are you doing here?" Charri shouted before realizing what had happened.
"Trunks" dropped into the first part of Ginyu's pose, revealing that Trunks had his body stolen.
"Captain Ginyu of the Ginyu Force has arrived!" Ginyu said in a new pose.
"Captain…? You hadn't told me you were in a new body!" Jeice said, panicking a little.
"You must always be prepared for this, Jeice! Now, pose!" Ginyu said.
Charri rushed in and nailed Ginyu in the cheek, and then roundhouse kicked him into the rocks. She then thrust out her right hand and blasted Jeice with a ki blast, sending him flying as well. She couldn't let Goku know what happened, because he still needed to lose his body to Ginyu as well.
Trunks contacted them over the radio and said he'd return to the Time Nest, but the Kaioshin told him not to; he had to get his body back before returning for history to get back on track.
Charri quickly disposed with of Jeice, since he had lost the Tree of Might boost, and nodded as Trunks in Ginyu entered the fray.
"Wait, Goku, he's on our side!" she shouted as Goku glared at him.
"What's going on here?" Goku asked, clearly confused.
"It's a long story," Charri said. "All that matters is that we wear down the purple haired guy."
"Okay, if that's what we have to do…" Goku said, extremely confused but more than willing to fight.
Charri could tell right away that Trunks was irritated at the body he was inhabiting. It lacked the Saiyan ability to grow stronger as he fought, leaving him at a severe disadvantage. But unlike the three of them, Ginyu didn't know how to power Trunks up, because if he did, he'd overpower all of them.
Because of this, because Trunks' body was so suppressed, the three of them were able to do significant damage to his body. This allowed them to put Ginyu in the position to want to change bodies, using his body change technique to change into the "more powerful" body of Goku.
This was Trunks' one chance to get his body back, and he dove in between Ginyu and Goku. But once Trunks had his body back, Turles returned to the battlefield, and grabbed Goku in a full nelson, an unnecessary action since Ginyu took Goku's body in the proper timeline. It makes us look better in Goku's eyes for him to think there was nothing we could do, Charri thought as Ginyu took Goku's body. So, he should be willing to accept our help.
Trunks rose to is feet, though he was clearly in a lot of pain. "I can't handle Turles like this," Trunks said. "You'll need to fend him off."
"Okay," Charri said. "You help Goku until I send him packing."
"Little cocky, aren't we?" Turles said, smirking.
"I'm a lot stronger than last time," Charri said, charging ki into her left hand. She once again thrust forward at her enemy, but with the enhanced strength she had put into the attack, she not only sent him flying, but once he got up, she saw that she broke his jaw.
Charri smirked and rushed in with a powerful knee to the gut. She continued her attack rush with relentless blows to the stomach and face. She then grabbed him by the hair, punched him a couple times before flipping him over her shoulder.
Turles was badly injured at this point, knowing he'd require healing from Towa before he could work on her behalf again. He teleported out and Charri looked over at Ginyu. He was taking damage, but not enough, thanks to Vegeta not being around. This meant that Charri would have to make up the difference.
She once again rushed in with a hard left to the jaw, again sending her opponent flying. She chased after Ginyu and hit him with a hard kick to the back that she combo'd into a flurry of kidney punches. She then sent him airborne with a powerful left kick, and then she sledgehammered him into the dirt before blasting him with a Masenko to top off the damage.
She stayed there, floating in the air, knowing she had to put herself at risk to put history back on track. Ginyu's eyes lit up, and shouted "Change NOW!", sending off his beam. But just as in the proper history, Goku managed put himself between Ginyu and his foe. And as in the proper history, Goku managed to toss a frog between Ginyu and his target when he tried to take Charri's body again.
Charri smiled as Ginyu's body started hopping away like a frog would, taking the scroll from her belt and returning to the Time Nest as Vegeta finally entered the scene, with Goku's friends coming out of the ship, having seen the battle from inside.
"You almost screwed up there, Trunks," Peparia said, continuing a conversation that was being had before Charri returned. "I nearly needed to come in after you and even the odds."
"I'm sorry," Trunks said nervously.
"You should be," Peparia said bluntly. "I trained you better than that. We can't make those kinds of mistakes; they make our back up's job harder."
"I'm glad you're back," the Kaioshin of Time said, changing the subject. "From what we've seen, Slug and Turles are definitely working for Towa and Mira."
"I killed Mira once," Peparia added. "I'll do it again."
"But her science is frightening," the Kaioshin of Time said. "Reviving Mira is proof of this, and he's stronger than he was back then. And we still have no idea of their plans this time."
"We'll go after them," Trunks said. "No mistakes this time. But we still need you to do damage control."
"If things work out the same as last, she'll be using Frieza next," Peparia said. She turned to focus on Charri and continued. "You need to be ready for that, and right now, you're not."
"Goku wasn't either when he landed on Namek," Charri said. "And he took on Frieza just fine. I'll do the same."
"Good," Peparia said. She turned her attention back to Trunks. "Come on. You need some multiple opponent drills again if you fell to Ginyu's tricks."
Charri just looked on as Peparia and Trunks walked out of the building. She was far off from their current strength, so she'd need to close the gap. But thanks to her friends and new mentors, she'd be able to do so. She only needed the time to do so.
