Charri stepped outside the Time Nest and looked around the city. It was beautiful, as always. The sky was blue, the grass was green, it was warm but not too warm. It was a great day in Conton City.
But things were starting to sour. She saw a Namekian with ash colored skin and red eyes, wearing a purple vest that cut off above his shirtless abs, with brown gloves, white pants and gold and silver boots. He was storming up the stairs toward the Time Nest, and he was, like always, angry.
"What is it this time, Deimos?" Charri said, rolling her eyes behind her sunglasses.
"I heard someone else was chosen for that special assignment!" Deimos shouted; his rage barely contained. "And I want some answers why!"
"It's because of this, Deimos," Charri said. "You can't control your anger, and you'd make things worse for the timeline!"
"I would not!" Deimos said. "This is my one chance to finally kill Towa and Mira, and I didn't get it!"
"Yes, you would," Charri said. "Your nature means anyone you kill won't pass on the way they're supposed to. We can't have someone like Vegeta or Frieza wandering the mortal plane simply because a member of the Demon Clan killed them during a mission! It would cause more problems than Towa ever did!"
"I maintain my demonic nature so I can force that fate upon Towa! I will not allow her to escape punishment!" Deimos shouted.
Charri just sighed. This was what Deimos was always like; he wanted revenge on all demons for what was done to him. And Charri couldn't blame him for wanting vengeance; between being stolen from Namek as an egg and forced to live in the Demon Realm would mess anyone up, but Deimos was there for a century. He only broke free when Peparia killed Mira, which forced Towa to focus solely on reviving Mira.
But the fact that his desire for vengeance was his top priority meant he didn't care about protecting the proper timeline. He would cause death and destruction on a massive scale if it meant getting his hands on Towa.
"Look, I get that Towa screwed you," Charri said, trying to calm the demon Namekian down. "But the Time Patrol's main job is protecting history. But if you want to get at Towa, you need to find a better way to do it."
This took Deimos aback. "What do you mean?"
"I mean find a way to track her movements," Charri said. "Because we can't do that right now besides finding her actions in the scrolls. And you being a demon gives you insight we just don't have."
Deimos placed his hand on his chin and started rubbing it, thinking about what Charri said. "But I still need to make her pay."
"You may not get the chance to kill her, no," Charri said. "That is still Peparia's job. But you can take satisfaction in knowing that you used your knowledge of the Demon Realm against her."
Deimos smirked. "That could work," he said. Then he started grinning darkly. "And maybe, I can train you on how to resist possession. I would love to see Towa's face if she tried to possess you and finding out she can't."
Charri looked at Deimos and nodded. "That's a really good idea. True strength is as much mental as it is physical, and I need to be able to do what Peparia did against Demigra."
"Then let's head to the training rooms now," Deimos said. "I'll show you how to resist the might of the Demon Realm, but I want a promise."
"What's that?" Charri asked.
"IF you fight Mira and Towa, I want you to make them to suffer, understand?" Deimos said darkly.
"I'll use whatever force is necessary to take them down," Charri said, not wanting to commit to something so dark, but wanting to sound like she agreed with the demon Namekian.
"Good," Deimos said, taking Charri's statement as she intended. "Now, come on, we have a lot to do to get you ready."
