Author's Note: Chapter title's name is a reference to "F" from Maximum the Hormone, the Japanese metal band that made the song about Frieza that inspired the title for Resurrection of F.

Charri opened her eyes after feeling the familiar sensation of time displacement. She looked down at the situation; Frieza was fighting Nail just before the Earthlings made their wishes about Piccolo. But this Frieza was stronger than he was supposed to be, so he was going to kill Nail long before he was supposed to.

Charri rushed in and tried to nail Frieza in the cheek, but the Emperor dodged, showing Charri just how difficult this was going to be. She tried to hit Frieza again, only for him to dodge again. She tried again and again, and the Emperor kept dodging Charri's attacks.

Charri stood there, breathing heavily beside Nail, who had already been taken down. And she got the worst news; Turles and Slug were at the Dragon Balls and were about to kill Gohan and Krillin. She couldn't be in two places at once, and right now, Frieza was the greater threat.

Charri ramped up to Kaioken times three and rushed at Frieza, this time connecting. But it still wasn't enough to even scratch Frieza. She kept attacking as quickly as she could while the Kaioken lasted, trying to hold the Emperor off as long as she could. But Frieza was having none of it. He grabbed Charri by the throat and began to squeeze.

Charri couldn't breathe. Her windpipe was being crushed as Frieza used barely any strength at all. But Charri was saved when the sky darkened. Slug and Turles had summoned the dragon, and Nail told Frieza what the darkened sky meant.

Frieza angrily tossed Charri into the rocks and blasted off, swearing loudly. Charri, in the meantime, did as the Kaioshin of Time told her and removed the scroll from her belt and returned to the Time Nest. She held her throat and was choking as she returned to the Time Vault.

She slowly stood, exhausted from her ordeal. She was coughing as air was forcibly pushed from her mouth and lungs and back down again. Once she had visibly recovered, the Kaioshin of Time handed her the scroll again. She was heading back to that era to fight against Slug and Turles at the same time she was fighting Frieza.

"Healing…" Charri wheezed. "I need healing before going back into battle. Frieza…powered through my barriers…"

"Oh! Of course!" the Kaioshin of Time said, taking Charri's hand in hers and began channeling her magic. "I didn't realize that took that much out of you!"

"I need to become a Super Saiyan," Charri said. "Kaioken takes way too much out of me."

"You're going to need it, young lady," the Elder Kaioshin said. "We're not done with the changes in history yet."

Charri nodded. Frieza's first form was far stronger than her standard usage of the Kaioken, so she'd need to ramp it up the next time she fought Frieza. But for now, Slug and Turles were at her level, and she'd need to beat them.

The evil Saiyan and Namekian were at each other's throats from the start, arguing over what to use the wishes on. But Charri's presence made them focus on her. Both took the fruit of the Tree of Might and boosted their power several fold.

Thankfully, this battle went Charri's way. She kept them both at bay without needing to use the Kaioken at all. She didn't even need to block most of the time. She paced herself extremely well as the fight went on, doing plenty of damage on her foes.

But their power kept rising. She was forced to block as the time battle went on. And eventually, their power grew enough to hurt Charri. They managed to get through her defenses on several occasions.

But something wasn't right. Their power was overwhelming them. It was the fruit of the Tree of Might; Towa's efforts to strengthen it in the Demon Realm had tainted it, and it was tearing Slug and Turles apart. Their demonic ki was hemorrhaging out of them.

Things got so bad that Trunks was forced to break off from his battle with Mira and leaving it to Peparia and charged in to save Charri from the two. He quickly overwhelmed them as their strength was not even close to Trunks', and a combined Burning Attack-Kamehameha ended the threat of the demonic Saiyan and Namekian.

Trunks returned to the battle with Mira as the sky darkened; Gohan and Krillin had summoned Porunga. They were about to make the wish to revive Piccolo, and the one to bring him to Namek. Frieza would be rushing toward the fight shortly, and Charri needed to be available to fight as soon as the Dragon died.

She landed at the battlefield just as Frieza did, and the battles went as they were supposed to; they held off Frieza in his first form, though Frieza skipped right to his final form. This caused Vegeta to freak out as he had in the proper timeline, with Piccolo entering the scene after he merged with Nail. But this wasn't enough, as Frieza was still stronger than he was supposed to be.

Vegeta asked Krillin to help him exploit the Zenkai boost, and he managed to hold off Frieza for a bit before he was tormented by Frieza. Eventually, Goku entered the battlefield, got Vegeta's "Saiyan Pride" speech before burying Vegeta with as much honor he could give him.

Charri was freaking out, of course. Goku was stronger, of course, but Frieza's dark aura power up from Towa made him stronger still. And Charri didn't know if her body could handle the higher levels of Kaioken the way Goku's could.

But Charri couldn't think about that now. She had to help Goku.

Goku, for his part, did most of the heavy lifting. His strength was great enough for him to be toyed with as Frieza had in the proper timeline, but Charri popped in whenever Goku was on the back foot. But she had to conserve her strength; she was going to need to ramp the Kaioken to a multiplier she'd never went to by the end of this battle, and that was going to hurt like hell after.

Good thing the Kaioshin of Time can heal me, Charri thought as she ramped up her Kaioken to a 10 times multiplier to help her keep up with Frieza. But as time went on, both she and Goku began to tire.

"Hey," Goku said, panting heavily. "Since you can use the Kaioken, do you know about the Genki Dama?"

"Yeah," Charri said, panting as well. "But I can't make one myself. You're going to need to do it."

"That was the plan," Goku said, raising his hands to the sky. "You hold him off while I gather the energy."

Charri nodded and ramped up her Kaioken to a 20 times multiplier. She rushed in on Frieza and actually did some damage this time. She wailed on Frieza as hard as she could, pushing him back and keeping him from looking up. But eventually, she began to tire.

Luckily for her, Piccolo did as he did in the normal timeline and rushed to her aid. He used his own techniques to keep Frieza distracted, which allowed brief moments to rest for Charri. But as in the proper timeline, they were still being overwhelmed by Frieza's might.

Eventually, the Genki Dama was ready, which forced Charri and Piccolo to dodge far, FAR away. The ball hit Frieza and did considerable damage. But of course, he wasn't dead. He returned to the fight, blasting Charri with enough power to critically wound her. He then shot Piccolo in the chest, very close to the heart. And then, he telekinetically raised Krillin into the air.

Charri popped open her Senzu capsule and ingested it as Krillin was disintegrated. She quickly recovered as Goku's rage started to overwhelm him, turning his hair golden and his eyes green. He had achieved the Super Saiyan for the first time in his life.

Charri, however, had gotten a Zenkai boost due to the damage she had taken, so she was ready to take the fight to Frieza. But she wasn't needed. Goku was tossing Frieza around like a ragdoll, Towa's boost not nearly being enough.

But things changed drastically when Frieza launched his death ball. After powering up to his full strength, another person appeared. It was Cooler, Frieza's brother. Frieza's stronger brother. And he was being empowered by Towa.

Charri did the only thing she could think of. She ramped her Kaioken to a 50 times multiplier, making her as strong as she'd be as a Super Saiyan. But she immediately regretted it, as the pain she was in now was extreme.

But she couldn't think about that now. She rushed at Cooler and nailed him straight in the jaw. Cooler flew back but quickly recovered, bulking up to his own 5th form. He rushed back at Charri, who dodged as quickly as she could, and nailed him in the jaw again as she countered his move.

Charri had to work quickly. She charged up a Kamehameha and blasted Cooler, though Cooler was able to block it. This forced Charri to let out a kiai, pushing more ki into her blast, but this was still not enough.

This left Charri with no other option. "Kaioken times 100!" she shouted, and immediately pushed more power into her blast, completely overwhelming Cooler. However, this drained the last of her stamina, and she started to fall toward the ground.

Thankfully, the Dragon returned to life, and this meant that the timeline was back to normal. She removed the scroll from her belt and closed her eyes, concentrating on the scroll, feeling the familiar distortion before passing out completely.

She awoke in the Time Vault to find the Kaioshin of Time and the Elder Kaioshin standing over her, the Kaioshin of Time using her magic to heal her.

"That was reckless," the Elder Kaioshin said. "You nearly killed yourself with that stunt."

"Though I'm sure North Kaio would be pleased to hear someone survived that high a multiplier," the Kaioshin of Time said. "Still, I'm glad you're safe."

"I need to become a Super Saiyan," Charri said. "I can't keep up without it."

"We'll get you there," Trunks said, finally alerting Charri to his presence. "You've got the power, but you'll need to find your own trigger. It's different for all of us, and it's always personal. You saw how Goku transformed, and both Peparia and I lost someone too. But my father, the younger me, Goten…all of them had their own trigger."

Charri just sighed. She knew that her grandfather and the other Trunks had transformed young and with ease. But Charri had never found her trigger. She'd need to find it, and quickly, if she were going to keep up with her enemies.
