Hey guys and girls.

Firstly, let me say sorry for not updating Stone Cold Hunter.

As many of you may not know, this fanfic was placed on Haitus due to the fact that I had quite a bit on my plate. First off, I was getting married and didn't have the time to get chapters out save for a few that had already been written.

Plus the fact that Melissa, my wife was confirmed pregnant with out child. My son as you know is Damon.

So this fanfic was very much shelved for a while. But now is the time to pick up where I left off and finish this fanfic.

So Naruto has begun his training as a new member of Akatsuki. Determined to learn the truth of his father who only recently was revealed to him to be an Akatsuki Agent.

Fire fueling him to push himself to the limits to gain access to his father's title and the archives that document everything about his father.

Wanting to be the one who steps up to show that he isn't a coward. Naruto must make a choice in his life.

Also this chapter has been renamed.

Disclaimers: I own nothing.

Opening song: ONLAP - Freak Like Me (feat. Halocene)

Chapter 6: Blood Rage.

Every fibre of Naruto's body burned. Muscles ached, bones grinding against one another. Lungs over saturated with air. His vision hazy. His breathing laboured.

But he pushed himself forward. Doing his best to avoid the temptation of passing out and resting. Knowing full well from the first experience of executing any stragglers who fell behind the pack burned in the form of that memory of killing that man a few days ago.

This was a test, yes. No two ways about this. But the stakes of failing the test was too high. Akatsuki was still a mystery to him. But one thing he truly knew of this shady group was this. The weak are culled while the strong take what they want.

Show your worth and you will be rewarded. Show cowardice, and you will find yourself in a body bag. Looking to his hand, he slightly opened his fist. A leaf from the tree resting in his hand.

Looking ahead, he at last saw his destination. The barracks. He made it. The internal clock in his mind ticked on. Drawing closer to the time of the deadline. Aching muscles suddenly injected with pure adrenaline as he pushed himself over the finish line.

Finally reaching his destination, Raven looked to her watch and pointed to her companion, Esdeath.

"Uzumaki. 45 minutes 19 seconds." she said with the cyan haired woman noting it down.

Sweat finally caught up with him as a tidal wave of perspiration washed over his very being. Looking up he found Erza already at the base along with 4 others. Erza herself was already stretching. Her back towards him.

"I feel you staring at me. It's rude." she barked with venom without looking behind him.

She didn't even to have looked to break a sweat. How was that possible? With the altitude of the base it would give anyone a hard time. It didn't make any sense for Erza to be fine. Unless she was used to this type of training already.

An air horn shook him to the core as a fright over took him of such force.

"Right maggots." barked Raven clapping her hands once. "Line up."

Doing what she said without a second thought, they 6 lined up and stood at attention.

"This test had two parts to it. 1 was to test your endurance." spoke Esdeath taking over from Raven as she held up a finger. "The second was to see which 6 would make it."

With that said, Esdeath smiled rather sadisticly. Her persona beginning to take over.

"Survival of the fittest. Anyone mind telling me what it means?" spoke Esdeath in a rather strange vicious tone.

Erza's hand shot up at once.

"The weak perish and the strong survive. It is a basic rule of the jungle. Take what you want. Never give anything back." spoke the red haired with Esdeath smiling.

"Correct. Within the ranks of Akatsuki, every agent knows this simple truth. You must be fit and mentally prepared to do what must be done." spoke the cyan haired woman as she moved to be right in front of Naruto.

"Because if you show one shred of cowardice. You will find yourself in the ground. A wooden box and six feet deep."

Naruto himself felt the words reverberate deep within him. Hearing them awoke the very same feeling he felt the moment he took his first life. An unsated rage that could only be quenched through the slaughter of precious life. A need to vent. Curling his fingers into fists he grit his teeth behind sealed lips.

Seeing this reaction, Raven smiled. She had been told of the trigger for Naruto from Esdeath. But never had she seen this. No doubt this kid had seen his fair share of Hell. But never to the extent where it could be used to bring forth unimaginable levels of rage and hate.

Leading the 6 into a hanger where they found 6 other people with bags over their heads in a kneeling position. Their hands tied behind their backs with cable ties. Raven moved to the table that lay off to the side. A black cloth covering the items resting ontop.

Grabbing said cloth, she pulled it off showing 6 Five Sevens.

"Today, we'll also see if you can carry out an order from your superiors." she spoke handing each of them a pistol. "One of these people has a target on their back. Your job is to find out which one is which."

For once, Erza was always the cold calculating type. She had always been told that in life, you have a target. You are given the resources to do the task and that's it. Straight forward. Plain and simple. Now she was here playing a game of chance? 6 targets. 1 with the target. Something wasn't right. She didn't like the odds. 1 wrong move and she may have the full wrath of her moral code fall on her.

"Can we ask the victims?" asked one of the recruits.

This earned a bullet in his head by Esdeath holding the pistol that still smoked as metal clinked to the floor, showing a spent shot.

"What did Raven tell you this morning?" she hissed as she holstered the pistol. "When on an assignment, you can't ask questions."

"Choose your kill. And send the poor fool screaming into the void." barked Raven now leaning against the table folding her arms in the process.

It was at that instant, Naruto stepped forward. Moving to be standing behind one of them, he pointed the pistol at his chosen target and pulled the trigger. Killed literally execution style.

The body flopped onto the ground with a fleshy thud as the sound of another bullet case fell to the ground. Standing up properly at how merciless Naruto was. Before she could speak, Naruto moved to the next person and repeated the process. Utterly stunned at what Naruto was doing everyone looked on at how bloodthirsty Naruto was being right now. He spoke not a word. Merely position himself behind them and pull the trigger.

It was astonishing but also a nightmare at the same time.

In the span of 5 minutes. Naruto, in his blood rage, had just executed 6 people all by himself.

Moving with cold atmosphere surrounding him, he gently placed the pistol onto the table and turned to everyone. Apparently still in his blood haze.

Raven was the first to snap out of it.

"Mr. Uzumaki. Mind telling us why you shot the 6 people? I made it clear that you should only kill 1."

"You said to kill. And so I did."

This time Esdeath chimed in.

"Well well." she cooed with a sultry voice as she placed her hands on her hips and leaned forward. Showing off her cleavage to Naruto. "6 possibilities. Only 1 choice of action. Could've been anyone."

"Again. You said I must kill. And so I did." this time giving a growl to his words as Naruto narrowed his eyes, challenging both Raven and Esdeath.

Esdeath herself, wasn't going to lie in this situation. Ever since her time in Akatsuki, she had grown into a very sadistic woman. Enjoying the pleasure of those in pain. Seeing herself almost mirrored in Naruto's eyes, she had to admit. It did turn her on a bit.

"Indeed." spoke Esdeath giving Naruto a slow clap. "We gave you the order to shoot. And you delivered."

Turning to the rest, Esdeath continued.

"Let this be a lesson to all of you." barked the Ice Queen in cold undertones. "When on a mission, and your target is surrounded by bodyguards 24/7. There can be no witnesses. Sure your target is right there, but there is then the case of needing to ensure no one comes across the body. Naruto here, clearly knows that. As he just demonstrated."

"Right maggots." interjected Raven. "Return to your rooms. While you were busy with today's lesson, we finished granting each of you access to your own rooms. Take a key as you leave the hanger."

Saluting and walking out, the group each grabbed a key just as Raven instructed. But for Erza, she was not having it. Her father told her many times to always be number 1. To fall behind and get 2nd, was mediocre. Gritting her teeth at how she was just outplayed by a nobody, she grabbed her key and walked away.

"Naruto Uzumaki. I'll remember the name." she growled under her breath as she walked to her destination.

With Kushina.

It had only been 2 days since she was arrested. She had not only been found guilty of neglection and pedophilia. But also fixing grades. The police were extremely thorough in their investigation as to what she did in her free time and her work life.

Finding quite the amount of anomalies throughout the tests Kushina had wrote, it was discovered that the students who frequented her and bedded her, all received extremely high marks. Sending the paper to be marked by another teacher who specialized in Kushina's very field, they found the papers to have been marked with bias intentions.

Everything lined up. They would sleep with Kushina. And in return, Kushina would give them a passing mark in the form of distinctions. Not only that, but all students that had been found to have slept with her, were held back a grade due to this notions.

It did not go down well for them and their parents.

Currently sitting in a holding cell as she looked at the barred window. Watching as thunder clouds began to roll in, she hung her head and actually began to mourn for the vanishing of her son.

"Oh my sweet Naruto." she wept in a murmur. "I am so sorry."

And scene.

There we have it.

The long awaited chapter of Stone Cold Hunter.

Sorry it took so long but with this chapter, it signifies the lifting of the Haitus.

So Naruto has only begun his training under the watchful eyes of Esdeath and Raven. All in the hopes of joining the Crows and inheriting his father's legacy.

But it seems he not only has impressed a few but gained two new obsticles in his path to his goal.

Esdeath seems to have taken notice of Naruto. Placing him on her radar. At the same time as well, also landing on Erza's radar.

It seems that Erza will begin to see Naruto as a rival. One she must utterly crush beneath her feet.
