Peter Parker.
Mary Jane Watson.
Gwen Stacy.
Liz Allan.
Flash Thompson.
Ned Leeds.
Randy Robertson.
Sally Avril.
Glory Grant.
Hobie Brown.
Sha Shan Nyugen.
All fell to Harry Osborn.
It started when Harry decided to have a party with his father out of the house. He invited everyone who attends Midtown High.
When the party started, it was fun. Just high school kids doing high schooler stuff.
But then Flash noticed that Harry had a copy of Mortal Kombat and suggested that they played it.
That's when the party stopped being a party and became a slaughterhouse.
Harry ANNIHILATED anyone who dared to pick up a controller. His skill was unmatched. He was undefeatable.
"Fatality. Sub Zero wins."
"Hah! So, who's next? Who else wishes to challenge the great Harold Osborn?" Harry yelled triumphantly.
This was starting to get ridiculous.
"Ugh, Osborn is seriously starting to get on my nerves." Flash complained. "Can't someone take him down a peg already?"
"How though?" Liz asked. "He's better than all of us combined. It would be a losing battle."
Peter was sitting down, fingers tented sinisterly. And if he still wore his glasses, he would be willing to bet that they would be reflecting light to hide his eyes right now.
"I know a way."
Multiple heads turned to Peter. If he had a way to end Harry's reign of terror, they were gonna listen.
"I have a couple friends. And my friends have friends. Large quantities of friends. All it takes is two phone calls and they will come to this party. And they WILL end Harry's winning streak. All I need to know is if-"
Everyone raised their hands voting yes before Peter could even finish his sentence.
Including Harry.
"Wait, why is Osbon supporting this?" Sally asked.
"You think I would miss a chance for more pigs to slaughter? Send your friends, Peter! I'll kill them all!"
Karen was just relaxing with the others in Titans Tower. They had to round up Brother Blood, Control Freak, and Cinderblock in the past couple of hours. So, it was pretty safe to say they were exhausted.
"Bzzt, bzzt"
Karen picked her phone up quickly and saw Peter was calling her. If Peter was calling her, either a supervillain or math homework was kicking his butt.
"Hey Pete."
"Hey Karen, can you do me a favor? Grab every Teen Titan you can and come to Oscorp Tower?"
"Why? Supervillain tryna break in?" Karen asked.
"No, it's just that we're having a party and we started to play Mortal Kombat, but Harry's beaten everyone and the power's starting to go to his head."
Some cackling was heard over the phone.
"I'll be right there." Karen hung up, then turned to the various Titans. "Anyone wanna crash a party?"
Jaime was doing what any intelligent Young Justice member would do with their free time.
Thumb war. And he was locked in a bitter one with Cassie Sandsmark.
"Oh, you are going down Reyes!" Cassie exclaimed.
Jaime smirked. While Cassie was the stronger of the two, Jaime had speed and maneuverability. Something that could allow him to compete on equal terms.
He managed to avoid an attack, then counterattacked and pinned Cassie's thumb down at the joint. Hard to escape and was tight enough to hold Cassie long enough for the countdown.
"One, two, three, four! Jaime wins!" Wally yelled. Cheers were heard while Cassie held her hand out for Jaime.
"Good one, you gotta teach me that move." Jaime, being a fair sport, shook it.
"Oh, I will."
"Ha, I just wanna rock. I just wanna-"
Jaime pulled out his phone. Huh, call from Peter. "¿Qué pasa, arácnido?"
"Yo, grab as many Young Justice that play Mortal Kombat as you can and bring them to Oscorp Tower. This party needs a hero."
Now if that wasn't a weird request. But hey, no harm in helping a homie.
"C'mon Puny Parker, where are those friends of yours? Harry's still steamrolling us, and not one of them shown up yet!" Flash complained.
"Patience, Thompson." Peter said, still finger-tenting.
There was a DING of the elevator and before anyone knew it, a whole horde of teenagers suddenly spilled out into the party.
And leading them was none other than Karen.
"Kept you waiting, huh?"
"I understood that reference!" Gwen and Ned said at the same time.
"Oh, so these are the friends you called to defeat me! Very well. Who wishes to best me in Mortal Kombat?" Harry asked the crowd.
"I'll do it." Karen cracked her knuckles. "Can't be that hard to knock you down a peg."
"Fatality. Sub-Zero wins."
Karen stared at the screen in disbelief. This Harry guy, he was UNSTOPPABLE!
Dick? Easy peasy.
Rachel? Might've well had been practice mode.
Wally? Should've been classified as homicide.
And what happened to Karen and Jaime can't be said out loud.
Harry was right. Peter did give him more pigs to slaughter.
"What do we do? No one can beat this dude!" Jaime asked.
"I have one last measure." Peter said, STILL finger-tenting.
Karen's face became one of fear. "You don't mean,,,"
"Weapon M." Peter said.
"Desperate times, desperate measures." Jaime said. "Do it."
Marinette was working on a design when she heard her phone ring. It was Peter.
"Hey Peter, what's up?"
"Help." Peter said in a voice that didn't radiate urgency, but rather fatigue.
"What, homework?" Marinette asked.
"No, worse." Marinette heard Jaime's voice and then the sound of cackling.
"Villain?"
"Harry Osborn." Karen said over the phone. "He's killing everyone in the party in Mortal Kombat and it's getting on a lot of nerves."
Marinette grabbed her bag. "And you want me to defeat him?"
"Bingo." Peter said over the phone.
Marinette grabbed Peter's portal tech. "On my way."
Harry doubled over laughing. He nearly ran out of breath. Then he looked at his final opponent. And started laughing again.
"This? Is the girl who will defeat me?" He pointed to Marinette, who nodded.
"Alright then. Grab a controlled, and don't blame me for what happens ne-"
"Fatality. Scorpion wins!"
Harry stared at the screen dumbfounded while Marinette looked at him with a smug grin. After that, the partygoers proceeded to let loose dozens of whoops and cheers.
Peter elbowed Flash. "Told ya I know a way."
