The day Michael was due to arrive was sooner than Lucifer would have liked. He was hanging out in his throne room, surrounded by Bee, Stolas, Charlie, and Ozzie. Lucifer was fidgeting a bit, his gaze wandering over to Ozzie, who had shown up out of nowhere. Lucifer had no idea how Ozzie had found out about Michael's visit, but he was glad his old friend was around. Ozzie had made it clear that after Lucifer helped him with get Mammon off Fizz's back, being here for him now was the least he could do.

Lucifer was trying to stay calm, but his nerves were running high. He was looking forward to seeing Michael again, and the waiting was getting to him. The moment finally came when Michael showed up. Lucifer could see Charlie's eyes widen with shock, and she let out a soft gasp. Michael was, without a doubt, the spitting image of Lucifer—same build, same face. But where Lucifer was a whirlwind of red and chaos, Michael was all serene and cool in white and blue.

Lucifer didn't even think twice. He sprang up from his throne and bolted towards Michael. Stolas let out a surprised yell, trying to call Lucifer back, but it was too late. Lucifer was already wrapped around his twin, holding him in a tight, heartfelt hug. The moment Michael's arms went around him, Lucifer felt a rush of emotions he'd been keeping bottled up for eons. Tears pricked at his eyes, and he didn't even bother trying to hide them.

Lucifer had thought that he would be angry, resentful, maybe even scared. But hugging Michael was like coming back home. In his twin's arms he was home.

Michael chuckled softly as they pulled away. With a teasing grin, he called Lucifer a "crybaby," making the whole room burst into relieved laughter. Lucifer laughed too, feeling a mix of relief and joy. He grabbed Michael's arm and guided him toward a private chamber just off the throne room. "Come on, let's catch up properly," he said, his voice full of warmth.

Bee and Stolas watched them go, exchanging smiles. Charlie, still a bit awestruck, murmured to Ozzie, "I never realized how alike they are. It's kinda incredible."

Ozzie gave a knowing nod. "Yeah, they've got that whole twin thing down to an art. The very first pair of twins."

When Michael first laid eyes on Charlie, he couldn't help but be struck by how young and nervous she looked. It was like seeing a reflection of Lucifer from back in the day, when they were both just starting out, wide-eyed and full of potential. Michael's heart, which had felt like it had been running on autopilot for eons, actually felt a pang of warmth and nostalgia.

Without a second thought, he pulled Charlie into a big, heartfelt hug. It was one of those hugs where you don't want to let go, where you squeeze a little tighter just to soak in the moment. Charlie, surprised and a bit flustered, melted into the embrace, her nervousness slowly giving way to a genuine smile. Michael could feel the tremor of her excitement and unease, and it made him chuckle softly.

Meanwhile, Lucifer, watching the scene unfold, gave a knowing smile. He knew how much this meant to Michael and Charlie and was content to step back and let them have their moment. He led Bee, Stolas, and Ozzie to the side, giving his twin and daughter the privacy they deserved. It was one of those rare moments where everything felt just right.

Michael and Charlie finally broke from their hug, both of them looking a bit misty-eyed but happier than they had been in a long time. Michael gave Charlie a warm smile and gestured for her to sit down on a plush sofa in the corner of the room. He took a seat next to her, and they both relaxed into the cushions.

"So, Charlie," Michael began, his tone gentle and curious. "Tell me about yourself."

Charlie fidgeted a bit, her nerves still bubbling under the surface. "Well, where do I start? I guess I could tell you about growing up with Dad. He's... well, he's not exactly what most people might expect. He's got this whole kingly persona, but at home, he's just Dad. He's got this way of making even the craziest things feel normal. And he's always been there for me, no matter what."

Michael chuckled softly, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "That sounds about right. He was always the one with the big ideas and the even bigger dreams. It's nice to hear he's still the same old Lucifer, even after all this time."

Charlie's eyes lit up with curiosity. "What was he like when you two were younger? I mean, I know he was different from you, but in what way?"

Michael leaned back, a thoughtful expression crossing his face. "Oh, he was a whirlwind, always moving and shaking things up. He had this incredible energy about him. Where I was more... steady, you could say, Lucifer was all about change and excitement. He had this knack for turning every day into an adventure."

Charlie laughed, shaking her head. "Sounds like him. I've heard stories about how he'd pull me into all sorts of schemes, just for fun. I'm surprised he didn't get us into more trouble."

Michael smiled warmly, clearly fond of the memories. "Well, there were definitely some close calls. But that's what made him so special. He had this way of making even the most mundane things seem thrilling. And he always had a way of making sure that, no matter how tough things got, there was always a light at the end of the tunnel."

Charlie's smile softened, and she looked down, a touch of sadness in her eyes. "It's been hard, you know. With everything that's happened, it sometimes feels like we're just trying to hold things together."

Michael reached out, placing a comforting hand on Charlie's shoulder. "I get it. It's tough when you're facing so many challenges and trying to figure out how to keep moving forward. But just remember, you're not alone in this. You've got your dad, and you've got me now too."

Charlie looked up at Michael, her eyes shining with gratitude. "Thank you. It means a lot to hear that. I've been so focused on fixing things and making sure everyone's okay that I haven't had a chance to really talk about how I'm feeling."

Michael gave her a reassuring squeeze. "Sometimes, talking it out is the best way to start finding answers."

Charlie smiled, her nerves finally easing. "I'm really glad you're here, Uncle Michael. It feels like we're on the brink of something new, and having you here makes it all a bit less daunting."

Michael nodded, his expression full of warmth and pride. "Me too, Charlie. Me too. We've got a lot to catch up on, and I'm looking forward to every moment of it."

Michael and Charlie took their time, chatting about everything and nothing, getting to know each other in that easy, natural way people do when they're truly interested. Charlie's nerves had started to settle, and she began to open up about her life, her dreams. Michael listened intently, his eyes softening as he learned more about the niece he'd only heard about.

After a while, Charlie laughed, a genuine, free sound that filled the room with warmth. "I think I'm starting to see where Dad gets his sense of humor," she said, and Michael chuckled, nodding in agreement.

As their conversation flowed, it was clear that the connection was growing stronger, bridging the gap that had existed for so long. Michael felt a weight lift off his shoulders, a feeling of renewed hope and happiness he hadn't experienced in ages. For the first time in what felt like forever, things felt like they were falling into place.

Once Michael and Charlie had finished catching up, the group settled down, ready for the main discussion. Michael gave a nod to Asmodeus and Beelzebub, recognizing them from previous encounters. The Ars Goetia, while new to him, seemed powerful and impressive, though still young and eager.

Lucifer took charge of the meeting, diving straight into the mess of Extermination Day. He laid out how the seraphim in Heaven had this wild idea that Hell was gearing up for a rebellion. And because of that, they were ramping up their sinner genocide, trying to wipe out as many souls as possible. Lucifer was fed up and wanted it to stop, but to pull that off, he needed Michael's help.

Michael listened intently, his brow furrowing as he processed the info. "So that's why Sera's been acting so weird," he said, realization dawning on him. "She's been keeping this from me. It's clear now."

Lucifer nodded. "Yeah, and we need to get this sorted out before things spiral further. We're thinking of bringing this to the seraphim court in Heaven to get it stopped."

Michael tilted his head, a mischievous glint in his eye. "I can help get Charlie and the case into Heaven. But, you know, it might be fun to stir things up a bit. Heaven's been way too calm lately."

Lucifer's eyes widened in surprise. "Since when did you become the troublemaker?"

Michael shrugged with a smirk. "I believe it is time for someone to step up, now that you are no longer in Heaven to keep them in their toes. Might as well be me."

Everyone chuckled, the tension easing a bit. Lucifer grinned, clearly enjoying the playful banter. "Alright, Michael. If you're up for shaking things up, I'm in."

Asmodeus and Beelzebub exchanged amused glances, while the Ars Goetia looked on with interest. Charlie, however, turned to her uncle with a small frown, she asked her uncle Michael how people ended up in Hell or Heaven. It's been something that has been bothering her since she first met with Husker.

Michael, with a thoughtful look, started explaining, "I never doubted God's plan, but I have my own take on it. When humans were created, I think a bit of that old evil snuck into their souls. Then Lucifer gave them free will, which made them more susceptible to that evil, that corruption."

He paused, looking around the room as everyone listened intently. "After Lucifer fell, a system was set up to decide who went where. Those who gave in to the corruption were sent to Hell, while those who resisted got a spot in Heaven."

Charlie nodded, absorbing his words. Michael continued, a hint of frustration creeping into his voice. "Over the years, I grew disappointed with humans. Many who made it to Heaven hadn't really learned to listen to the good in themselves. They just followed the rules set by those who came before them. Humans called it religion, and later, ethics and morals. But a lot of them followed these rules out of fear of punishment, not because they truly understood what was good."

Michael sighed, his eyes reflecting a mix of sadness and frustration. "This always frustrated me. It meant that humans weren't really using their free will, the very thing Lucifer had fought for. They were just scared into making the right choices, not truly understanding why they were making them."

Charlie looked thoughtful, her brow furrowing as she processed what Michael had said. "So, you're saying that a lot of people in Heaven might not really deserve to be there, and the same for those in Hell?"

Michael nodded slowly. "Exactly. It's more complicated than just good and evil. Free will was supposed to give humans the chance to truly choose, to understand the consequences of their actions. But fear has a way of clouding judgment, of making people follow the path of least resistance without really thinking about it."

Lucifer, who had been listening quietly, chimed in. He wore a warm smile on his face, he was glad that his twin had finally understood why he had fought so hard during the Great War. It went beyond Lillith and forbidden love. "That's why we need to change things. The system is flawed. We need to give people a real chance to understand their choices, to learn and grow from them."

Charlie's eyes sparkled with determination. "That's what the my hotel is all about. Giving sinners a chance to redeem themselves, to truly understand what it means to be good."

Michael smiled, a glimmer of hope in his eyes. "I think you're onto something, Charlie. Maybe it's time to shake things up, to give people a real chance at redemption."
