Chapter 356 The Fire Dragon And The Temple Of The Moon

After a brief pause, the battle continued.

Evan knew he had to seize the moment and not allow the fallen Centaurs to summon the malevolent god from the void; otherwise, the battle would become increasingly challenging.

Even if it was just a magical illusion, everything felt all too real, and no one could guarantee the strength of the malevolent god that had caught Gryffindor off guard.

Evan didn't know how Okegiga had defeated him at that moment, but the most obvious way was to destroy the magic calling him before the malevolent god arrived on earth.

Pondering this, he waved his wand.

Under Evan's control, the huge Stone Giant bowed and slowly extended his hand to lift him and place him on his right shoulder.

A gentle breeze blew, and his view expanded.

Evan could see the vast forest, with ancient tall trees disappearing into the horizon.

In the vicinity lay the dense wooden houses of the Centaurs. The battle raged on, smoke rising in many places. On the central island of the colony, stood imposingly the Temple of the Moon, built of obsidian stones, looking particularly fierce.

Above the Temple, a strange vortex was forming in the sky, shining in red, as if something was about to be summoned from the clouds.

Uncontainable magic overflowed, and it was evident that this magic was on the verge of succeeding.

"I'll be waiting for you ahead!" Evan saluted Okegiga below.

He waved his wand, and the stone giant stood up and headed towards the Centaur colony.

His vast, grey rock body frightened all living creatures, so heavy that the earth trembled with each of his steps.

Under Evan's control, the Stone Giant destroyed all obstacles before him in the most primitive way, crushing them with brute force.

The fallen Centaurs attempted to shoot arrows at him, but to no avail.

Evan continued waving his wand to repair the Giant's damaged body, occasionally casting several powerful spells forward to aid in his attack.

Okegiga was not willing to lag behind. He directed the Centaurs around the Stone Giant controlled by Evan, defeating the enemy with their arrows.

Under Okegiga's leadership, the Centaurs charged again and again, like a dark hurricane, unstoppable, trampling enemy bones without restraint.

The colony was filled with fighting and angry shouts. These Centaurs were natural warriors, fearless as long as there was a hero to lead them.

The cunning goblins saw the situation was not in their favor and vanished immediately.

They had been hired to join the Centaurs' Civil War and only came for the gold promised by the fallen Centaurs, not to lose their lives here.

The foolish trolls, with their repugnant stench and horrible appearance, still swung their wooden clubs as tall as two men, but without the goblins' cooperation, they were quickly eliminated.

In one fell swoop, the fallen Centaurs suffered heavy losses.

They were retreating and began to fall back towards the Temple of the Moon on the central island.

Evan seized the victory to pursue them. The closer he got to the Temple of the Moon, the more he could sense the strangeness of the ancient sacred place of the Centaurs. The corrupted magical energy was distorting the sacred Temple.

Beyond the obsidian, there seemed to be a layer of blue mist. Through the haze, on the back wall, were not the intricate and mysterious star maps, but all the terrifying demonic patterns that were beyond the imagination of common people.

In the murals were the monsters Evan had seen before. They were like a mix of fungi and insects. Their heads were filled with holes of various sizes.

Additionally, there was a huge monster with terrible claws all over its body. Its enormous arms covered in black hair split into two at the front. Each hand had sharp claws, the size of a giant's head, protected by thick hair and bones.

The most frightening feature of the skull was its enormous mouth, which grew vertically instead of horizontally, filled with huge yellow teeth, straight from the top of the head to the bottom.

A gust of blue mist passed, and the sight blurred. It seemed there were more of these monsters in the murals, and in front of them, there were all kinds of flesh and blood sacrifices.

These degenerate centaurs must have been completely insane to believe in that evil god.

Evan could barely imagine someone actually attempting to summon these monsters from nothingness.

He controlled the Stone Giant beneath him, and high atop the black Temple, Evan saw a large number of centaurs standing on the platform, crawling on the ground for some kind of ceremony taking place.

Continuing, instead of the original centaur statue, he saw...

The next second, Evan suddenly felt a chill. A pair of cold blood-red eyes inexplicably appeared in his mind. He felt an indescribable fear.

It was like encountering a Dementor. Everything around him, even his memories, began to fade and wither. All his happy memories vanished, leaving only fear behind.

Under the gaze of the blood-red eyes, Evan was in a trance.

Bang, bang, Boom!

Through the mist, he seemed to see a huge black body flying down from above the temple. He raised his wand and wanted to resist, but he was plunged into endless terror.

After a strong impact, Evan felt the Stone Giant beneath him had been shattered.

With the loss of magic, it collapsed rapidly. Evan plummeted from the sky and was about to be buried alive.

He was going to die; maybe it was a relief...

No, it couldn't end like this! He tried his best to think of things that would make him happy. He thought of Hermione and the purpose he had in coming here.

"EXPECTO PATRONUM!" Evan shouted, waving his wand.

He instinctively used that magic, hoping it would work.

With his movements, a silver and white cat emerged from the tip of his wand and ran with a small white light at the top of the temple.

Evan's consciousness quickly returned, and it seemed he could finally recover from an endless nightmare and return to reality.

He realized his body was falling rapidly in the air, and the rocks he had summoned were shattered and destroyed. There were stones of various sizes around his body.

Evan raised his wand, but it was too late...

In the nick of time, a vigorous figure flew by, catching Evan, and a heavy long spear swept all the stones beside him.

"Human, what are you doing? Don't go there!" Okegiga said gruffly. "We must retreat. I did not expect them to tame that creature."

"What?" Evan was stunned. He did not understand what the centaur was talking about.

What did he mean by 'that creature'? Was it the evil god?!

Soon, through Okegiga's proud face, he saw which monster flew out of the temple and shattered the Stone Giant he had summoned.

In the sky, there was actually a black fire dragon!
