Chapter 2: Good friends

Molly and Hikari were having wonderful time together. They bought ice cream (especially Molly bought ALOT of ice cream), feeded some street dogs, visited the elderly home and went to the aquarium.

Now they were in the center of Brighton. Molly was spending so much time with her, yet she still couldn't get enough of Hikari.

''Hey, Hikari, I think you have something on your nose'' Molly said with a smile.

''Huh? Really?''

''Yep. Riiiigh here... BOOP!'' Molly said, as she booped little of her ice cream on Hikari's nose.

''Haha, very funny Molly'' Hikari joked.

Molly really was enjoying every single second with her. They were apart from each other for so long, they had alot of catching up to do.

''But you don't have to waste your ice cream like that''

''Haha, don't worry, I'll get more later!'' Molly said.

''More? Woah, I also love ice cream, but you already ate so much. You'll get sick!''

''Don't worry, I'll be fine. I just really need something cold''

It was strange. Molly really was feeling something hot and burning inside of her. Something cold like ice cream or a cold drink was relaxing, but that feeling was coming back. It started just few days when Molly started to use her powers more seriously...

''Same old Molly, aways having more room for dessert'' Hikari joked.

''Haha, you know me too well!''

''Well, wanna come to my place? Dad have work today, but my mom is home! She'll be happy to see you!''

''Of course! I would love to see Ms. Watanabe!'' Molly said, as she hugged Hikari.

Really, everything was perfect. Apart from that hot feeling Molly had inside...

''NOOOOOOOOO!''

Ruben and Esther were supposed to drive Samantha to the dentist. His office was way too far for a walk, so they could've only drive... But Samantha didn't like that idea at all.

''Come on, nothing scary will happen! Just a quick drive, we will be-

''NO! NEVER! I'M NOT GOING INSIDE THAT DEATH MACHINE!'' Samantha screamed in fear and hid under the table... It was clear she is not going on a ride...

''Ugh, It's not scary! I drive very slow and carefully, nothing to be afraid of!'' Ruben tried to explain.

''NOOOO! YOU'LL HAVE TO KILL ME AGAIN TO PUT ME INSIDE THAT THING!'' Samantha screamed.

''Come on, sweety, we promise nothing bad will happen. We have to drive you to the dentist, just to make sure everything is okay with your teeth'' Esther said.

Samantha still wasn't coming out. She was still to terrified to even think about looking at the car. Esther and Ruben decided to let that slide, but only for now. They sure will make her to overcome her fear from cars, but not now...

Molly and Hikari were in her room. Hikari had pretty nice room. Nice desk, large bed, pink walls, and manga... Alot of manga. In fact, all she had in her room was manga comics, drawings, and anime movies.

''Wow, you really love your home country's work'' Molly said, amazed.

''Yep! That's basically my whole life... Anime!''

''Oh, do you remember how once for halloween we dressed up as Naruto characters?''

''Haha, how could I forget? You tried to copy his run, but ended up tripping and breaking your nose'' Hikari laughed, the moment she remembered.

''Hahaha! I was lucky that old woman saw me and called our parents!''

Even though it was small, Hikari's family still had a very good looking house. Oh, and Hikari's mom... She is the most innocent, kind and sweet person Molly knew.

''So, you already spended 3 years in Brighton. Any interesting ''adventures'' you had?'' Hikari asked with a smile.

''Many! I tried to make a horror movie, I rebuilded Brighton's old concert stage, I played in a softball team for a season... Every day is a new adventure'' Molly explained, joyfully.

''Pretty much continuing with the ''enhappifying''?''

''Yep, aways... Although, the community... Wasn't very grateful for the things I did to make it better...'' Molly said with a sad look in her eyes.

They were friends for a long time, before having to move away. Hikari knew how much Molly wanted to help and make the world a better place... But she also knew how emotional Molly was, and how cruel some people can be.

''Hey, there are guys who just are born grumpy. No matter how many nice things a person can do for them, they'll aways be brats! Don't worry about them, focus to help those who actually appreciate it!'' Hikari said, as she hugged Molly.

''Mhm, I guess you are right. You should have seeing Brighton 3 years ago, it was the most MISERABLE AND BORING place I have ever seen. I sure did made it little better, but there are still some issues... Especially with some Brightonians...'' Molly explained and hugged Hikari back.

''Don't think about them now. Take a little break. After all, you have to save your energy for your elections in few years'' Hikari said, jokingly

When Molly and Hikari were little, Molly often joked how she will become the first female USA president. Not only she joked, but this was her life dream.

''I don't know... I think this may sound little too unreal to become true...''

''Oh, Molly, don't think like that! I'm telling you, if you run for a president, you sure will have my vote!''

''Awwwww, Hikariiii! I love you!'' Molly said, as she kissed Hikari's cheek.

While the two girls were hugging, Hikari's mom came to check on them.

''Hey, girls, how are you doing?''

''We're good, mom'' Hikari said, little annoyed at her mom for disturbing their sweet moment.

''Great! I'm just come leave you some cookies. Have fun time, bye!'' Hikari's mom said, as she placed a plate with cookies on the desk and left.

Molly and Hikari continued with their hugging. Years have passed since Molly last felt the loving hug from Hikari. Her beautiful dark hair... Her beautiful face... Hikari really was the love of Molly's life.

Libby was waiting for Ollie in the park. He texted her that they need to see each other. He didn't tell her for what exactly, but he said it's important. While she was waiting, he showed up with Samantha.

''Hi, Ollie!''

''Hey, Libby. So... This is Samantha. You know... She was a skinwalker... And she wants to tell you something''

Samantha was hiding behind Ollie. She wanted to apologize about everything she did to Libby. After all, she forced her girlfriend to break up with her, almost tried to kill Libby... And burned her alive.

''Come on, Sammy... Don't be shy'' Ollie said, as he stepped away.

She took a deep breath and looked Libby in the eyes.

''Libby... I'm sorry... For everything... I just-

''It's okay, I forgive you'' Libby said with a smile.

''Huh? You... Forgive me? After everything I did?'' Samantha asked, confused.

''Well, you were a skinwalker, you didn't know what you were doing... I know how it feels like...''

Libby remembered when she herself was possessed by a shadow demon. How she changed... How she hurted Molly and her mom... And how she almost killed herself. She really knew how poor Samantha must have felt when she was cursed as a skinwalker.

''But it wasn't right! I know it's not much, but... I made you something'' Samantha said, as she gave Libby a gift.

It was a green frame photo with painted turtles on it. Ollie told Samantha that Libby likes turtles, so she crafted her a gift.

''Awww, I love it! Thank you, Sammy!'' Libby said, as she hugged her.

Samantha was happy Libby liked her gift. After they broke from their hug, Ollie let Samantha to spend few minutes in the park. Like a little kid, Samantha was looking and playing with all the flowers and trees.

''So... How is she doing?'' Libby asked, worried.

''She is doing good. Yes, still needs to work on some things, but she is okay for now... But she is afraid of cars, we couldn't even drive her to the dentist''

''Oh... I'm sure she'll be fine. After all, it sure will take some time. She wasn't a human from years...''

''Right... Okay, Sammy, time to go back home!'' Ollie said.

''Coming!''

They said bye to Libby and started to walk away. Libby wasn't someone to be mad at someone... Even if they did something as cruel as burning her alive. At least Samantha apologized and even gave Libby a gift. She continued to stare at the frame photo, it looked so cute... And noticed something dark on the ground... It was a DVD...

''Huh?''

Samantha was carrying that thing everywhere with her, but never had the chance to even watch it... But now she accidentaly dropped it...

''Ollie? Sammy? Guys, you dropped you-

They were already gone. Libby looked at the title... HatMan_exe. Weird name, but Libby didn't think much of it. She'll give it back to Samantha when she sees her. In the meantime, she'll keep it safe in home. Also, officer John have a DVD player... Maybe Libby could see what exactly Samantha bought...
