Chapter 2 is here, everyone! What will happen here?
Streets:
Riku was running as fast as he could to get to the Underground Base, he stopped by the Galaxy Market to catch his breath. He sat down in one of the chairs and as he looked up, he started thinking about how to tell Laiha how he felt about her.
"Riku!" Riku looked to his left to see Moa waving as she ran over. Riku smiled as he got up, the pair hugged each other then sat down. "Are you okay? Did something happen?" Moa asked as she could tell that something was on Riku's mind.
"Moa, can I ask you something?" Riku asked as he wasn't sure what to do. Moa smiled and nodded as she wanted to help Riku. "If you wanted to tell someone that you like them, what would you do?" Riku asked as he wanted advice. Moa smiled and pushed her hair behind her ears, as she had feelings towards Riku.
"As a girl, I can give you advice on what to do." Moa told him and that made Riku smile. "A picnic: just you and the one you like. Or love. Start a conversation about how things have been then slowly, tell her how you really feel. And if you play things right, she might tell you how she feels." Moa explained and Riku smiled, he jumped up then hugged Moa.
"Thanks Moa. Now I know how to tell Laiha how I feel." Riku smiled then he ran off, leaving Moa heartbroken again.
Shop:
Riku was getting food and drink for his surprise picnic with Laiha, he felt nervous but he knew that it was nerves. He was brave to fight monsters but when it came to revealing how he felt, he found that hard.
"Hello Riku!" Riku turned around to see Leito Igaguri with his wife, Lumina, and his daughter, Mayu. Riku smiled and waved back. The family walked into the store and while Lumina walked over to the ice-cream freezer with Mayu, Leito walked over to Riku and looked at his shopping. "Cakes, sandwiches, lemonade: special occasion?" Leito asked and Riku smiled as he nodded.
"Kinda." Riku answered as he rubbed the back of his neck. "I'm getting some things for a picnic, a surprise picnic." Riku explained and Leito nodded. They then walked over to the picnic section and Riku picked up some plastic cups. "It's just between me… and Laiha." Riku whispered and Leito smiled.
"That's really sweet, Riku." Leito complimented and Riku smiled. "Is this a friend picnic or two people who like each other picnic?" Leito asked which made Riku blush.
"It's just gonna be me and Laiha, hopefully." Riku whispered as he walked over to pay for the shopping. Leito smiled and placed his left hand on Riku's left shoulder.
"You tell me where the picnic will be and if I see Laiha, I'll tell her to meet you." Leito offered and that made Riku happy.
"Thank you, Leito." Riku smiled and Leito nodded. Leito could tell that Riku was nervous but Leito knew that Riku could do it. "I hope I don't ruin this. I really like Laiha but it's hard to tell her." Riku told him, Leito nodded as he understood.
"I was the same when I wanted to tell Lumina." Leito told his friend, Riku picked up his shopping as he looked at Leito. "Some advice; take it slow. Don't tell Laiha straight away. Start with a friendly conversation then when it's time, tell her then wait to see if she feels the same." Leito advised and that helped Riku. "Riku, don't forget this." Leito handed Riku a red and black chequered blanket.
"Thank you, Leito." Riku thanked as he accepted the blanket. "I'll head off to find a good spot and when I've found it, I'll call you." Riku told Leito then he smiled and nodded. Leito watched as Riku ran off to get ready for the picnic.
The park:
After looking for a while, Riku found a good spot: it was in the park near a small pond and it was quiet. Riku had put down the blanket and was about to unpack the picnic when he heard footsteps walking over, he looked behind him to see Laiha walking towards him: she was wearing a white vest, blue shorts and red trainers.
"Lovely spot, Riku." Laiha complimented as she looked around to see that it was quiet and no one was near. "How did you find this spot?" Laiha asked as she removed her sword holster and placed it on the glass, she then sat down on the blanket as Riku took out two plastic cups.
"I found it when I was looking for a nice spot for the picnic," Riku answered as he poured lemonade in the cups then handed one to Laiha, who smiled as she accepted the drink. "I hope you don't mind but it's only going to be us two here." Riku told her and from the looks of it, Laiha smiled as she heard that.
"Just us two. Peace and quiet; we best make use of this time then." Laiha smiled and Riku nodded. After a while, the pair started chatting about how their relationship had changed since they first met to how it was now. The pair were enjoying themselves when Riku decided it was time for him to be truthful to Laiha, he took a deep breath and looked at Laiha as she was looking at the sky smiling.
"Laiha, there's another reason I asked you to come out on a picnic with me," Riku started which got Laiha's attention as she stopped looking at the sky then turned her attention to Riku. "We've been a lot together and I don't think I would be who I am now if it wasn't for you." Riku started and hearing that made Laiha smile. "I've become more confident in who I am and with that, I want to tell you something." Riku paused as he was starting to feel nervous.
"What is it, Riku?" Laiha asked curiously. Riku looked at Laiha and he could feel his heart beating. With both his hands, Riku reached out and held Laiha's hands then smiled.
"Laiha Toba, I like you. But as more than a friend," Riku started, which made Laiha smile. "So, would you like to be my girlfriend?" Riku asked nervously and without saying a word, Laiha leant forward and gave Riku a kiss on the cheek.
"Yes. I would be your girlfriend, Riku Asakura." Laiha answered, which made Riku smile. "And you decided to take me on a picnic date to tell me how you felt; very romantic." Laiha complimented and Riku smiled. Riku was having a drink when he thought of an idea, he looked at Laiha who was smiling at the sky.
"Laiha, how would you like to fly?" Riku asked, which made Laiha look at him with confusion. Laiha watched as Riku stood up and took out his Geed Riser.
"Are you offering to take me flying, Riku?" Laiha asked and Riku nodded as he reached into the Capsule Holder and took out both the Ultraman and Ultraman Belial Capsules. Riku then activated each Capsule one at a time then inserted them into the Loading Knuckle.
"Here we go!" Riku shouted as he scanned the Capsules, he then held the Geed Riser over his chest and pressed the trigger. "GEED!" Laiha watched as Riku's body started to glow purple as he started to grow.
"Fusion Rise! Ultraman Geed: Primitive!" Geed was standing high with his right arm pointing up while his left arm was over his chest with his hand in a claw position. Geed lowered his arms as he knelt down and looked at Laiha, he lowered his right hand so Laiha could climb on.
"Talk about going far to make an impression," Laiha joked as she stood up in Geed's hand. "I'm ready, Riku!" Laiha shouted up as Geed stood up and moved his left hand towards his face.
"Hold on, Laiha." Riku suggested. Geed looked up at the sky then jumped, he flew up and as Laiha layed down and held on. Laiha was enjoying the view then she turned and looked at Geed, the Ultraman nodded then he looked back up. The pair flew in the sky and enjoyed the view of the city.
Underground base:
It was evening and Pega was sweeping the floor while Rem was running checks on her systems. The elevator arrived then opened, Leito and Moa walked out to see Pega putting down the brush.
"Hello you two!" Pega called over cheerfully as he walked over to Leito and Moa. "What brings you by?" Pega asked as Leito sat down.
"I came by to talk to Riku," Leito explained as he took out his glasses and cleaned them. "He asked for some advice earlier and wanted to know how the day went." Leito explained then both Pega and Leito looked at Moa, who was holding her arms behind her back.
"I came back to see how things were doing." Moa told them but Pega could tell there was more behind Moa's reasoning.
"Geed has been spotted." Rem spoke up which got everyone's attention, they got up and walked over to the table by Rem. Rem then showed the trio footage of Geed flying calmly in the sky.
"Why is Riku flying around? Is there a monster in any direction?" Moa asked and after a quick scan, Rem showed them a projection of the city.
"No monsters detected." Rem answered which puzzled them. Leito moved a little closer to the footage of Geed flying then he noticed something.
"Rem, could you zoom in on Riku's left hand?" Leito asked which made Pega and Moa confused until Rem zoomed in on the footage. "Seems like Riku is flying around for a personal reason this time." Leito smiled as they saw Laiha in Geed's hand.
"Never seen that before," The team looked over by the elevator to see an old friend; Gai Kurenai. "Looks like Riku is trying to impress his girl more." Gai smiled as they watched Geed fly away into the distance.
The Park:
After flying around for a while, Geed landed and he started to shrink and glow. As the glow faded away, Riku was standing whilst holding Laiha in his arms. Riku was about to put Laiha down when Laiha kissed him again but this time, she kissed him on the lips.
"For a first date, you really went all out." Laiha chuckled and Riku smiled as he put his girlfriend down. They looked at each other and smiled as they were now happy to have come out about how they truly felt.
"I have a feeling that things are going to be more amazing than before," Riku started as he and Laiha started to walk whilst holding hands. "I always thought that I got stronger due to the Lucky Stars awakening the new forms, but then I realised something," The couple stopped then looked at each other. "Laiha; you are and will always be the source of my strength." Riku admitted which made Laiha smile.
"You're my strength too, Riku." Laiha confessed as she placed her hands on his face. They kissed again then they started to walk down the path, holding hands as the sun shone behind them. "Let's head back, the others should know." Laiha suggested and Riku nodded as they turned around and headed towards Nebula House.
I would like to say that I'm sorry for the long wait for this chapter. I had a lot of stuff going on and when I got some free time, I had no ideas for this one. But I'm back and I'm happy to say that the ideas are flowing.
