"Here, try this," Penelope said as she thrust a cup into Anderson's hand the next morning. She had spent all night working on perfecting the recipe for her smoothies, and she still didn't know if anyone but herself would enjoy them. Not wanting to experiment too much on her friends, she thought that the man would be the perfect candidate to test out what she had concocted.

"And what is this?" he asked warily as he peeled off the lid and brought the cup to his nose, breathing in deeply.

"It's a new smoothie recipe that I was messing around with last night. I want to make something for all of us when we head out to yoga, and found this online. There's nothing bad in it, I promise. I just want to know if others beside me like it."

He gave her a slow nod before bringing the rim of the cup to his lips and taking a small sip. Meeting her eyes, he swallowed before taking another, larger, sip. "This is really good, Penelope. So, what's in in that will make all of your friends more fertile?"

Penelope let out a little gasp of irritation before reaching out and smacking his shoulder. "Are you going to question everything nice I do for my friends from now on?" she asked as she sat down on the edge of his desk, glaring at him.

"No, but I also think from that answer I know that you did create this smoothie with that in mind," he teased, giving her a small wink. "Does that mean your plan is moving full steam ahead?"

She pouted a little as she shrugged. "I hope that it is. We haven't had our first yoga session, so I can't say anything about that. And these smoothies are supposed to be yummy snacks. But since you're so concerned about these little drinks, I think that I'm going to make them for us every day that I come in to work, and you will get to deliver Erin's to her office."

"You're punishing me?" She shrugged and let out a little trill of laughter at the look of mock horror on his face. "You are so lucky that I both like and fear you. I have no idea what you would do to my social media presence."

They both laughed at the same time, and Penelope shook her head lightly. "You know that I'm only allowed to threaten that. If I were to make it happen, then I might get into trouble again. And I really wouldn't want to leave all my friends and loved ones behind while the CIA or the NSA secrets me away from the world. Now, do you accept your punishment?"

He paused for a moment, tapping his finger against the corner of his lips as he smirked. "I suppose that I could do that for you. But wouldn't you rather deliver them yourself? Since you are friends?"

"I would love nothing more, but since she's overseeing a different unit now, it's a little difficult for me to get away. Cruz doesn't like to see me moonlighting. You, though? You get to flit back and forth, getting answers from different units, and that will make my job that much easier. Okay?"

He nodded as he took another sip of the smoothie that she gave him. "You know, I wouldn't mind getting one of these every so often. Maybe when the others are out on a case?"

"You drive a hard bargain, but I think that I could arrange that. So it's actually good? It wasn't just me thinking so?"

"I wouldn't lie to you. If I didn't like it, I wouldn't be finishing this cup you gave me." He winked as she stood up. "And thank you for thinking of me today. May your results be fruitful," he said as he raised his cup to her. Smiling, she nodded and began to make her way up to her office. She hadn't expected Anderson to drink the whole cup, but was glad that he enjoyed it, nonetheless.

After starting her systems up for the day, Penelope stowed her purse and then went down to the coffee nook to make herself a cup. Then she rummaged through the fridge to try and find something that was unclaimed to nosh on, that would tide her over until lunchtime. Thankfully, she found a box of donuts that had been brought in the day before, and she picked one of the last sprinkled one before heading back to her office and starting her day.

"We're briefing in twenty, Garcia. This is the file, the pictures should be in your email," Hotch said as he came into her office, setting the manila folder on her desk. "Unfortunately, it looks like your first yoga class will be just you and Erin, since I don't anticipate us getting home before next Monday. I don't like this unsub, and I wish that we had been called out earlier."

Penelope blanched a little at that, knowing that meant a truly horrible case. "I'll have this ready in ten, hopefully. At least I'll have something to look forward to Saturday evening, even if I have to come back to work if you need me."

He nodded as he reached out and patted her shoulder lightly. "I hope to be able to give you the weekend, but you never know with unsubs."

Penelope made a frustrated groan of agreement as she turned to her monitors and logged into her work email. Hotch's email was right on top, and she clicked on it before turning to another monitor and starting to look up the details of the case. As she started to pull together the presentation, Hotch left her alone, and she fell into the rabbit hole of information as she tried to switch off the part of her brain that processed the horror she was seeing.

As predicted, she was ready to present in ten minutes, and after sending everything to the tablets, she picked up the paper file and bustled into the briefing room, logging into the system there and bringing up the current case as she waited for the others to appear. Reid was the first one in the room, and she smiled as she handed over his paper file. "This might be the last smile you see from me today, as this is not a good case. I'm going to have to let Hotch control the remote, as I don't want to see those pictures again. Promise me that you catch this bastard before he can commit another atrocity."

"We'll try, Garcia. But you know that unsubs are wily and unpredictable." She nodded as the others filed into the room, and she took a seat at the table, making certain that her back was to the screen. As Hotch approached the front of the room, he gave her a knowing smile, and she shrugged a little before handing him the remote.

"I don't blame you for not wanting to give this presentation," he murmured as he grabbed the remote. "All right, I want to brief this quickly so that we can get in the air and put this unsub away before he hurts someone else." There was a brief pause, and Penelope knew that he was looking at each of the team in turn before he began to go through what they knew about the case so far. Penelope wrote down some notes from the others, and tried to focus on their theories rather than what they were describing. Hotch had been right when he said this was one of their more brutal cases, and she found herself looking forward to Saturday evening when she and Erin could unwind and relax together. Otherwise, the feel of this case would cling to her for far too long, and she didn't want that.
