"I still can't believe that we were stuck with a week of custodials," Derek groaned as he sank down onto Penelope's sofa. She shrugged as she took a seat next to him, cuddling up close to him as she breathed in the scent of his aftershave. "You know that I hate dealing with all that paperwork. I want to be out in the field, chasing down unsubs, bringing them to justice…"

"Kicking down doors?" she butted in, hoping that he could hear the teasing lilt to her voice.

"I don't do that very often."

"Keep telling yourself that, sweetheart," she shot back as she patted his chest lightly.

He chuckled as he closed his arm around her shoulders, pulling her even closer to his side before he pressed his lips to the crown on her head. "So, I can't help but notice that your yoga class is still growing strong. Are you still enjoying it?"

"Immensely! It's so good to spend time with everyone, getting to know them better. It almost puts the want of having a baby on the back burner, since when I'm there, I can focus on just that moment in time. I mean, isn't that the point of yoga? To get us to stop thinking about the past or future, and simply be present in the moment?"

"I've heard that that's true, yes. Though I have to admit that I like a few of the other benefits of your being into yoga now."

"Oh?" she purred out, having more than an inkling of what he was talking about.

"Yes. You are definitely more flexible in bed, and I think that I recognize a few positions that you've learned. Either way, there are times when I feel like I can't keep up with you, and that is very invigorating."

She giggled as his hand slid up her torso to cup one of her breasts, his thumb swiping against her nipple, which sent a rush of pleasure down her spine and to her core. "I wonder if the other men are as enamoured of the results as you are?"

He paused his touches and used his hand to gently move her chin upwards so that they could look into each other's eyes. "Now why would you ask something like that, Baby Girl?"

Penelope shrugged as she smiled. "I just hope that everyone is as happy as we are? I mean, I have been trying to focus on what we have right now, and allowing the dream of our future child to just that, my dreams."

"Well, it seems as if your dreams have spread to two other members of the team."

She tried to give him an innocent look as she tilted her head to one side. "I'm sorry?"

"Don't try that look on me, Penelope. I know how your devious little mind works. Did you have anything to do with the fact that both Jayje and Blake appear to be pregnant?"

His eyes bored into her, and she let out a quiet sigh before allowing her lips to curl upwards as she shook her head. "I can honestly say that there is no way that I could have had anything to do with their hypothetical pregnancies. I'm a woman, biology doesn't work like that. But what makes you think that they're pregnant?" she asked as she dropped her head back onto his shoulder, staring at her coffee table.

"They've both stopped drinking coffee, and it's making them almost as irritable as Rossi says Erin's being. And it's not like she can be pregnant, she's almost old enough to be a grandmother!"

Penelope pursed her lips, knowing that he was completely wrong in his assessment of the situation, but also knowing that she couldn't reveal all that she knew. "You might be surprised at how many women get pregnant late in life. Yeah, it's not a huge number, but as long as a woman has a regular cycle, she can still get pregnant. I've done a lot of reading on the subject recently, you know."

"I know, but I guess that I just don't want to think about how she ended up pregnant, if she is. There are some mysteries that should never be solved."

Derek shuddered a little, which amused Penelope even more. "What? You don't want to think about Erin and Rossi in the bedroom?"

"No, I don't, Baby Girl. She's pretty and all, but…there are just some things that I don't need to know. Anyway, you're deflecting. Are you certain you didn't, I don't know, spike those smoothies you've been making for everyone with some herb that allows any woman to get knocked up?"

He was scarily close to what she had been doing, and Penelope knew that if she didn't shut down that line of questioning, he'd just press for more answers. "I'm not some sort of witch who can conjure up a posy that will automatically get any woman in the family way. Besides, if I knew enough about that to get the others pregnant, don't you think that I would use the magic formula on myself? You know how desperately I want a baby, and if I knew that little spell, I'd use it on me in a heartbeat."

"Oh," he breathed out before kissing her head once more. "I suppose that if I had really thought about it, that would be the right answer. I just know that it's a weird coincidence that those two should be pregnant at the same time. If they're pregnant."

She nodded. "And one other thing you should know – Alex is as old as Erin. They were in the Academy together, after all."

"Another thing I'd forgotten."

"It happens, especially since she looks younger than she is. Not that Erin looks old, but she has this gravitas about her that just screams experience."

"That's a good way to describe her," he said and she nodded, knowing in her heart that she had turned him away from his dangerous thoughts. "Now, how do you want to spend the rest of the evening. We don't have to worry about getting up early for work tomorrow, after all."

Penelope laughed as she shook her head. "You all might get to sleep in a little, but I still have two other teams that I have to get results for. Though I suppose that I could text Kevin and ask him to take the earlier hours so that we could have a bit of fun?"

"Do it. Please."

She nodded as she pulled out her phone. "Of course, darlin'. I hate to see you beg, after all," she teased as she quickly composed her text to Kevin. You're going to have to take the early shift tomorrow, Kev. Derek and I are going to be out late, since we rarely get to spend time together during the week. I'll make it up to you, somehow.

After sending the text, she dropped her phone onto the coffee table and looked up at her lover through her eyelashes. "Aren't you going to wait for his answer before giving me looks like that?"

"No, he owes me a few favours, and it's time I started calling them in. Now, just what were you planning on doing with me?" she teased as she rose to her feet and reached around to her back and took hold of her dress zipper, slowly running it down her spine as she kept her eyes on him. His grinned as he got up and started towards her, and she let out a happy shriek as she turned and made her way to the bedroom, knowing that he'd follow her and help her find nirvana in his arms.
