"Look Shinn, you probably can guess I was thrown into war quite recently and was shell shocked for a long amount of time and the period where we are enemies and most of the time we don't have the luxury to cook or try to cook. Lacus took care of my meals before shit happened and we fought each other. If anything you should be questioning Athrun because he probably had survival training as an elite force," informed Kira.

He was tired of Shinn's constant questioning on why he couldn't cook despite being the ultimate coordinator. Not that Shinn could do any better. After enough poking by La Flaga, Shinn admitted that the only time he cooked was when he went camping with his parents. He ended up burning everything including a few trees and once again, the fire department had to come to their rescue.

"DAMMIT KIRA! WHY DID YOU SAY THAT?" yelled Athrun.

Everyone looked at the Orb princess' boyfriend expecting a response.

"Fine, fine. I give in," said Athrun. "I failed the class, miserably. Nothing I made was edible and on my final exam, the instructor admitted that he was amazed by the fact that I didn't set the place on fire like all those other times."

"You're joking," commented Waltfeld in disbelief. "There's no way they let you graduate if you failed that badly."

Mu La Flaga shook his head while Shinn stared curiously.

"So, uh, who was his teacher and did that guy ever pass?" asked Shinn.

"If I've learned anything about military cooking teachers, they don't care as long as you make something that is edible in the end," informed La Flaga. "Now, stay out of our kitchen."

"Athrun, you said everything you made was inedible, right?" asked Kira.

The former elite ZAFT soldier nodded.

"So how did you pass?"

"After like my 5th time retaking the class, they gave in and said they were done with me," responded Athrun. "They threw me a bag of rations and told me, if I ever get stranded, make sure to bring at least two of these to avoid starving to death. Never thought I'd ended up using it to help your sister as well."

Everyone looked at Athrun in shock before a loud beep told them that their dinner was ready.

"So, uh… What about you Shinn?" asked Waltfeld.

"I kinda cheated…" admitted Shinn.

"What!" yelled Waltfeld. "You what!"

"It was Luna alright! It was her! I missed breakfast that morning cuz I was finishing her scale model project of a Ginn. She decided to repay me by sending me a meal that she made during my next class," confessed Shinn. "By coincidence, that was my home economics class and the teacher thought I made it. That's how I passed."

Everyone ate in stunned silence before Kira decided to break the silence.

"What about you commander? How did you pass?"

"Uhhh. Yeah about that…" recalled La Flaga. "I made sushi. Only needed to use the cutting board and knife and they let me off just like that."

"Wow. That was lenient," commented Waltfeld. "They had me cook until I bribed them by getting them all some expensive coffee."

"Sheesh. You know sometimes I wonder where we'd truly be without girls," commented Kira.

"Probably six feet under. Besides, I'm not giving up my loving wife. Oh wait… Sorry."

Afterwards, everyone ate in silence and spent the rest of the night figuring out what to do about Kira and Lacus' ruined home.
