U.A. High School, home to one of the most prestigious Hero Course designed to give students everything they need to Go Pro. It was said to be the toughest and most popular Hero Course in the country where only 1 in 300 applicants are accepted. Hikari was determined to be that 1 in 300, but first, she had to find her way to U.A. Musutafu, Japan was densely populated at least it was in terms of what Hikari was used to. There were skyscrapers as far as her eyes could see. Shops, Cafes, and posters of various heroes surrounded Hikari, it was fascinating. The complete opposite of where the girl had come from. The night before she had studied the route to get to U.A. so she was sure she could get to the school with ease, but that all changed as soon as she exited the train station. There shouldn't have been any problems upon exiting the station it was only a brief 15-minute walk from there to U.A. but the street was blocked due to some illegal activities a few villains had the night before, so Hikairi was left with no choice but to make a detour.

The city continued to impress Hikari with every turn. There were so many places she wanted to visit and things she wanted to do that she hadn't done before. As she looked around she took out her phone and stared at the time. "There's plenty of time. I can definitely pick up something to try from one of these shops right" Hikari convinced herself. She was so excited for this day that she barely got any sleep the night before to the point where she just got up and headed out the door 2 hours early instead. As she continued to walk she noticed a Best Jeanist theme cafe. "No way it that I know this hero… what was it again… Best wha- ah Best Jeanist! I have to try something from here!" without a second thought she walked to the cafe.

A stack of blue jean-looking pancakes arrived at her table. They had drizzles of white fudge to mimic the hero's web fiber quirk. To accompany the pancakes she received a yellow mango-flavored drink and at the top, it had some art of Best Jeanist eyes. Without hesitation, she took her first bite. The flavors exploited in her mouth. She hadn't realized it but the pancakes had blueberries in them which took some of the sweetness away from the pancakes but the white fudge helped balance it out. "This is amazing! I don't think I've ever had something so sweet and delicious" Hikari cried as she continued to devour the pancakes. The mango drink didn't disappoint either. It was just the perfect refreshment.

After finishing her pancakes and experiencing happiness she paid for her food and headed back to her mission. "Right no more dilly dally I have to get to U.A. but where exactly is it?" Hikari looked left and right trying to remember which direction she had come from. She quickly took out her phone to try to figure out the directions but it wasn't pinpointing her location correctly.

"Excuse me, do you happen to know how to get to U.A. from here?" Hikari asked a random boy right outside of the Cafe she just finished eating at.

"Oh yeah I sure do! I'm heading there myself. I'll guide you there, that would be the manly thing to do after all" The boy's red eyes shined as he answered enthusiastically. Hikari made a slight smile and replied "Sure". As they both started making their way to U.A. Hikari inspected the boy. He had spiky red hair that pointed way from his head, a rather impressive physique, and a small scar right above his right eye.

"Are you on your way to take the entrance exam as well?" Hikari asked attempting to make conversation.

"Yea you bet! I'm guessing you are too" He slowed down his pace to match Hikairi's as he answered.

"Yes! I am." She replied as she attempted to form a smile.

"Cool with any luck we'll both make it in!" he crossed his fingers and let out a bigger smile to show his pointy teeth. Hikari didn't need luck. She knew she would make it in. She had to or else it would mean returning to her dad in America and helping him with his research. It had taken Hikari months of convincing to finally have her dad agree to let her register for the U.A.'s entrance exam. She begged and begged until she fully convinced him that going to U.A. it would mean mastering her quirk and using it in new and creative ways.

"So how'd you get lost heading to U.A. are you not from around here?" the boy asked. Hikari thought about how to respond for a second. "No, I've been living in America with my dad for a bit and even before America I didn't exactly live in a city like this" Hikari responded.

"Oh got it! I figured as much. You don't look fully Japanese. Are you half?" the boy questioned as he inspected Hikari's face.

"Y- yeah I'm only half" the girl shyly responded and looked away from the boy. He laughed, put his hand in his pocket, and sped up his pace slightly. "U.A is right around the corner. Come on follow me!"

As the pair turned the corner U.A. finally entered their line of site. Hikari stared in awe as the building grew taller the closer they walked to it. "Here we are! Today we take the Practical Portion of the General Exam... You ready?!" the boy started punching the air probably as a way to shake off his nerves. "My name's Kirishima Enjiro by the way. Nice to meet you!" Kirishima showed off his pointy teeth once more as he smiled and held out his hand. "I'm Moriuchi Hikari, but please call me Ari its what I'm used to" she reached for the boy's hand to shake it. Hikari gave her first legitimate smile. She had made her first friend. As they made their way in they saw a boy floating in mid air, along side him was a girl with short brown hair placing him back on his feet to the ground. "Wow I wonder if that's her quirk" Hikari stared curiously at the boy and girl as she walked by. Kirishima and Ari continued to make their way to the auditorium where they would be given instructions about the exam. "Ari! Over here I see two seats" Kirishima rushed down to where the seats where located to reserve them for both himself and Ari. She soon followed and they waited for the presentation to start.

Ari stared across the room each seat filled with eager students. "There are so many people" Ari kept staring in disbelief.

"What do you expect! It's U.A after all" Kirishima responded proudly.

"WELCOME TO TODAY'S LIVE PERFORMANCE! EVERYBODY SAY 'HEY'! The room stayed quiet as the scrawny-looking professor with yellow hair waited for a response. "Well that's cool, my examinee listeners! I'm here to present the guidelines of your practical! Are you ready?!" The professor practically sang to the group of students waiting anxiously to start the exam. The rules seem pretty simple. No one had any questions except for one tall fellow with glasses but his question was answered quickly and we continued. "Looks like we'll be splitting up now" Kirishima turned to face Ari before heading out. "Right! You're in site F right I'm in site B" Hikari looked at the sheet of paper with her assigned testing location. "You better pass. I would hate to cut this new friendship short" Kirishima got up and stood in his best "manly" pose. "Don't worry I will!" Hikari got up and responded amped up. "Haha alright, I like your spunk Ari!" Kirishima waved as hurried to his testing location.

Hikari headed to the locker rooms and quickly changed to her workout clothes. As she tied her shoes and made her way out of the changing room she thought about how she would tackle the exam. "I have to get enough points to get in but I don't think I should stand out too much" she pondered for a second. As she turned to exit the main building and head to site B a pink sticky substance landed on her shoe. "What?!" Ari inspected it briefly, it was gum and the culprit for this landing on her was a boy.

The young boy was slim, muscular built, he had a fair skin tone and short, spiky, sandy blonde hair. He had an annoyed looked on his face as he slowly bent down to pick up the gum off Ari's shoe. He grabbed it and was about to throw it to the wind but before he could Ari suddenly grabbed his hand. She pulled out a tissue from her pocket lowered the boy's hand and wrapped the gum around the tissue. "You shouldn't litter" Ari informed the boy. The tissue around Ari's hand started glowing when she let go of it transformed into sakura peddles. The boy stared at Ari surprised. He wasn't sure what just happened, it felt like an annoying magic trick he couldn't figure out. He shook it off and put both hands in his pocket and stomped his way to site B.

"He's kinda scary" Ari stayed behind and decided to make some distance between them, but only for a few minutes because the exam was going to start soon.

Right outside the entrance to site B a large group of people patiently waited. Most had a nervous look on their faces but there were a few others that had a more determined look instead. Among those few others was the sandy blonde-haired boy. Ari started at him wondering what he was annoyed at but he quickly noticed her glance. "What are you looking at?!" he yelled as he caught Ari staring. Ari just stood there and kept staring at him confused... after a brief starting contest, Ari changed her glance toward the gate. On top of the gate was another professor he was a very tall, wide-set man, muscular built and with lightly tanned skin. "My name is Sekijiro Kan, I am a professor here at U.A. ... And Begin!". The crowd of applicants stood there confused for a minute, but the sandy blonde boy didn't hesitate. He placed both his hands behind him and caused an explosion which pushed him to be the first person to pass the gate. Ari didn't hesitate and quickly followed. Just like that the practical exam had started.

A giant robot crashed right in front of Ari, shattering the cement as it landed—a 3-pointer! Ari quickly scanned the area, searching for another target. When she spotted one, the sandy blonde-haired boy caused another explosion and beat her to it. He glanced back with a cocky smile before targeting another 3-pointer. He poised to attack, but before activating his quirk, Ari intervened, transforming the robot into leaves with her own quirk. Angrily, the boy thought, "How did she get there so fast? That's twice now!" He turned to attack a 1-pointer, but once again, Ari dismantled it before he could react. "What the hell!" he shouted in frustration, inches from Ari's face.

Ari was taken aback by his proximity; she could feel his seething heat. "There's no way I'm gonna lose to someone like you, you got that?" the boy exclaimed as he caused an explosion right behind Ari, destroying another 1-pointer. Ari didn't understand what the boy's problem was, but she stood her ground. "Fine, I don't care if you win, but I will get into this school!" She pushed past the boy, searching for her next target.

Ari and the boy continued dismantling robots as the announcer called out, "Five minutes left!" Ari calculated her points, transmuting a broken piece of metal into a sword to take down another 3-pointer. She was close behind the hot-tempered blonde boy. "He's the top contender here. I'm not far off; I should be fine," she reasoned. Winning wasn't her priority; she just needed to pass the exam. Just as she prepared to move, the blonde boy reappeared.

"Why are you holding back?! Don't you dare hold back! Even if you use your quirk to the max of its capabilities, I'll still win, so use them!" Ari ignored his demands, trying to maneuver around him. He grabbed her arm, pulling her closer. "GO ALL OU-" Before he could finish, a Giant Robot, a Zero-pointer, materialized. It started spinning, wreaking havoc. Debris threatened Ari and Bakugo, but Ari activated her quirk just in time.

The boy stared as everything around him turned to rose petals. "What the hell?" the boy shockingly whispered. Ari grabbed the angry boy, pulling them both out of harm's way. She swiftly destroyed a 1-pointer and a 2-pointer, panting from the effort. "I'm winning now," she declared. The boy recovered and raced for his next target. Bakugo reached a 3-pointer, but the Zero-pointer's debris halted his assault. The boy cleared the path with an explosion.

"That thing's getting in the way. We have to take it out," Ari urged him.

"It's worth nothing! Why would I?!" the boy once again yelled angrily at Ari.

Ignoring him, Ari charged at the Zero-pointer. Other participants struggled under rubble or focused solely on targets, hindered by the chaos. Ari transmuted debris, trying to free trapped students, but the Zero-pointer's chaos only trapped more.

"This is pointless… I'm just wasting my energy. I have to get rid of that robot if I really want to help these people," Ari resolved, heading toward it.

Using her quirk, she ascended, aiming for the Zero-pointer's head. She activated her quirk again in an attempt to change the matter around the Zero-pointer's enormous head, but she was exhausted from all the transmutations she had previously done. With every use of her quirk, she grew more and more exhausted. At this point, Ari had about two more uses before she wouldn't be able to use her quirk. A few of the participants attempted to destroy the Zero-pointer with their quirks as well but did not have much luck. They only managed to make the robot shake, causing Ari to fall towards the ground.

As she plummeted, she tried to transform debris falling around her and create a soft landing, but they were all out of reach. At that point, she had no choice but to attempt to land as best as she could, even though she would seriously injure herself. Bracing for impact, she felt a sudden tug on her hoodie, briefly floating before gently landing inches above the ground.

She turned to look at her savior, and to her shock, it was the blonde angry boy. "Listen here, freckle face. That thing is stopping me from destroying more targets. Hurry up and get it out of the way," he said as calmly as he could.

"I can't. I tried to destroy its head where the circuit board is, but it's too big and I've used my quirk too many times so it's tired me out. I think I can only use it two more times and then I'll probably knock out," Ari said as she straightened her hoodie. "We have two minutes left. We can just wait it out," Ari attempted to explain.

"I have 75 points! You do too, don't you?" the boy asked, angrily. Ari stared at the boy, confused. "How do you kn-" Ari couldn't finish answering before the boy spoke again.

Surprised he knew, Ari stuttered, "Y-yeah, I think."

"I've calculated every point you've made. All the other participants aren't worth keeping track of; they haven't destroyed many. So am I right?" he pressed.

"Y-yeah, I think," Ari confirmed, still in disbelief that he was also keeping track of her points. He seemed so narcissistic and angry that she didn't think he would keep her score.

The boy jumped down as the giant Zero-pointer collapsed. The other participants stared in disbelief; of course, the blonde boy had destroyed the giant robot—he had obliterated pretty much all the other robots. As he landed in front of Ari, the announcer made a quick statement. "One minute left." The blonde boy looked around and saw one more 2-pointer robot beyond the smoke caused by the boy's previous explosion. "I win," the boy grinned and raced to the 2-pointer robot, quickly destroying it. "Time's up!" the announcer stated, and the practical exam came to an end.
