Ch 7
Arthur and Mera then went to the Sahara Desert to get the compass and after that they went to Venice where they used the compass to get the coordinates.
Suddenly, a huge explosion erupted and blew them back as Black Manta came with his Atlantean soldiers.
"Loathsomeness waits and dreams in the deep and decay spreads over the tottering cities of men." Manta snarled. Then he blasted Arthur away with his eye lasers and pulled out his wrist blades.
"Who the hell are you?" Arthur asked.
"Maybe this will jog your memory." Manta said, then he struck with his blades and Arthur blocked as he kicked down Manta.
Mera slashed the soldiers with her energy sword, then she ran as another soldier chased her through the roof.
Meanwhile, Manta stabbed Arthur and struck his back. "You're the guy from the sub." Arthur recognized.
"That's right!" Manta confirmed. "But now I have Atlantean steel! Call me Black Manta."
Then Manta blasted Arthur and kicked him onto a roof.
"You can't run! You owe me blood!" Manta said.
"How did you find me?" Arthur asked.
"Your lady friend has people who like to keep tabs on her." Manta explained, then he rammed Arthur down and Arthur jumped out of the way as Manta blasted again.
In the bathroom, an Atlantean soldier followed Mera and grabbed her but she ripped open his helmet and he ran into the toilet to get his water.
Outside, Manta came and stabbed Arthur with an electric hook but Arthur ripped it off, then he hurled a pair of chain balls and slammed them into Manta, causing him to crash into the sea
Manta was gone.
For now.
