In Apartment 2J.
"Carlos, could you kindly release me? I am fully capable of making my way to my bed. I assure you, I won't collapse," Logan requests.
"Are you certain, Logie?" Carlos inquires, showing concern.
"Yes, please let me go," Logan insists.
"I believe it's best to escort you to your and Kendall's sleeping quarters, to prevent any further incidents like your previous collapse," Carlos persists.
Exhaling in frustration, Logan expresses, "Carlos, that's enough. I assured you I would be fine. You seem to doubt me. This is absurd. I want to be released immediately to demonstrate that I am capable. The way you're holding me is causing great discomfort in my arm sling."
Carlos places him gently on the ground. "I apologize, I didn't realize I was causing more harm than good."
"It's alright, I understand your good intentions. You always mean well," Logan acknowledges before heading to finally rest in his own bed.
Three hours later, Camille arrives at Apartment 2J.
"How's Logan doing?" she inquires.
"He's still completely wiped out. Been out like a light for hours now. I'm giving him his space, but I can't shake the concern over his persistent headache. If he's coming down with something, he needs to see a doctor. And if it's serious, it could throw a major wrench in his recovery and physical therapy for his arm," Kendall frets.
"You're absolutely right, Kendall. He needs medical attention pronto," Camille agrees.
"He's in no shape to brave a trip to the doctor today. Knowing Logan, he'll likely insist on resting and recuperating in peace and quiet. I'd rather not deal with his wrath by disturbing him," Kendall admits.
"I understand, but I can't help but worry. Even if he doesn't want me to," Camille confesses.
"The essence of Logan's compassion shines through in his ability to acknowledge and appreciate the concern his loved ones feel for him, even when he wishes they wouldn't. He understands that their worry stems from a place of love, yet he fears the toll it takes on their well-being. This delicate balance of empathy and selflessness is what makes Logan so special," Kendall reflects.
Camille nods in agreement, adding, "I know he means well, but I can't shake the feeling that he worries too much about me. I've tried to reassure him that a little stress won't break me, but he remains unconvinced."
Kendall sighs, sharing his own experience, "Logan's constant concern for my safety and well-being is touching, but sometimes I wish he would focus more on himself. It's important for him to realize that prioritizing his own needs doesn't make him selfish. It's all part of finding a healthy balance in caring for others and oneself."
"What have the rest of you been up to?" Camille inquires.
"Katie and Carlos are practically inseparable from the FunBox, engrossed in a never-ending match of Mario Kart. I don't think they've even blinked," Kendall chuckles.
"Do you not find it slightly concerning that they've been gaming for an eternity?" Camille raises an eyebrow.
"Yeah, but even if I try to say something, they won't listen," Kendall shrugs.
"Where's James?" Camille scans the room.
"He's sprawled out on the couch, obscured from your view. All he's been doing is watching Katie and Carlos go at it in Mario Kart," Kendall explains.
"And where's your mom?" Camille queries.
"She's holed up in her room, indulging in some sappy Lifetime romance flicks," Kendall rolls his eyes. "They're so cliché, but she can't get enough of them."
